Trader Jack's Island Grill in Port-of-Spain

Tried them for restaurant week 2022...good service and the food was great-tasting.

I was disappointed. It was my sisters birthday and the food well, it left me wanting to eat something. We had a variety of meats which by themselves are good but within the meal ensembles were sad. The serving portions and the amount of meats earned the 3 stars. The waitress was either overworked or forgetful. My niece, 6 years old, never got her order. Who forgets a childs order, completely? When we were finished she came back and asked but well again sad. The drinks were average as well although the menu options are wide. The setting remained lovely as ever. Its also spacious and clean.

Food was awesome , drinks needs some work. Service iffy but I will come back 🤭

Bbq Wings were tasty , the garlic sauce was 10/10Service was goodFood took very long to arrive but it was a Saturday night so Im not going to be too fussy.

Had bbq chicken veges was not sautéed or seasoned felt no effort was put into it, pumpkin soup lacked seasoning, wasn’t impressed at all, toilets were really dirty as well , not coming back

The dine-in experience at Trader Jacks was lovely. The rustic indoor decor together with the rain outside, ambient lighting and soothing music created a relaxing and playful ambience. Our server, Ronald, was very pleasant, efficient and helpful throughout our experience. The drinks we ordered were strong and satisfying; we had the Bahama Mama and Black Russian. The food was delivered in a timely manner and was quite delicious; we had the Thai Coconut Curry with Chicken, Grilled BBQ Chicken and Creamy Garlic Salmon. An overall good experience!

Food and drink were rally good. Our waitress was also very helpful ad super nice. Will definitely go back again.

The quality of service was food the quality of food another matter. The drinks were watered, I know this because I asked for no ice and it tasted like it had ice.

This is at the back area of movietowne plaza at Invaders Bay, Port of Spain.There is sufficient outdoor seating, open air and comfortable.Food was served in a timely manner despite the fact that there was only one waitress working on a Friday night.The food was not hot when served, the fries were room temperature but the food was okay in taste and well presented.I’m not sure I’ll go back.There is a bar that opens to the outside area with a dedicated bartender.The cocktail that I ordered was quite delicious.

I used a Gustazo (a discount appto come here for lunch with my boyfriend. He ordered the chicken bombs and I ordered the Cream of Cauliflower soup. Those were very tasty and I could eat those again!For the main course, I ordered cheese ravioli and he ordered the chicken rice bowl. I enjoyed my cheese ravioli but he didnt completely enjoy the chicken rice bowl. It had a smokey flavour that we both couldnt appreciate.The place is clean and our waitress was attentive enough. The overall experience was just okay and nothing to rave crazily about. You get treated decently, the food is okay and the place is clean. Thats it!

We had the seafood platter and the pesto chicken. The food was decent, though the pesto chicken could use some salt to really elevate the dish. (We we’re provided with salt and pepper packetsWe ordered it to go and it was ready in about 15-20 minutes. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

Had lunch here and the setting took me down memory lane. Very nice👌The food was okay and the staff was caring & friendly. Overall good casual spot 😄

Disgusting service. 295 for 6 pieces of lobster, 5 shrimp and 1 lobster in my bisque. Attitude from the server to place my order and because I didnt tip

Had lunch off their menu special today. Was filling and tasty. The server was pleasant. Appetiser, an entree and dessert for TT$125. Your drink is seperate from this cost. Not bad at all.

How are you a seafood restaurant and you’re out of lobster! I think it should be said “we are out of poster” when people start their dining in process in that way a person can a decision if they would like to stay or leave. The food was okay it’s not a restaurant I would return to.

Service was good, wait time very short (not busy on a Monday afternoon). The food was very bad, no flavor, dry meat, clear lack of basic cooking skills. Everybody was very disappointed. Avoid

This was the wost meal I have ever had. The service was ok hence it got 1 star. These ppl have no idea how to cook and still charge European prices. A potato gratin is not a lump of potatoes cut in cubes with the skin and cooked in cream thickened with flour. At least research the food you are serving.

It is with a heavy heart and a clear mind that I write this review.As a first time customer I received very poor customer serivce. I waited for approximately 18 minutes for a waiter who never showed and I would have been very understanding if the place was busy but it was not and as such I was forced to walked out.

Last time visiting, I waited an hour for food. Had to literally get off my seat and go fetch the waiter after waiting. The food was okay and was not worth the wait. The drinks were exceptional.

Romantic atmosphere ! Great for date night or chill vibes with friends

Although we made reservations had to have a seat outside but wasnt a big deal. Food was great , served quickly considering that it was restaurant week and they were packed . Drinks was good , ambience was excellent. Servers were friendly

Always enjoy the food but they outdid themselves for restaurant week!!!!! The traffic was extremely busy but the waiters were on point and very attentive. What I loved the most was that there manager was also there walking around to tables, ensuring each diner was satisfied.

The prices in all these American branded restaurants are too exorbitant. Beers are easily $10 - $15 cheaper elsewhere so if youre going for a drink..think again....the food isnt as good as competitors like Zanzibar or TGIF. Prior to the Venezuelans working there, the service wasnt that great either.

Resturant is dimly lit, the bathrooms as well which smelt for a quiet day. Might be better suited for people that want to avoid the spouse.The menu is limited and a bit pricey. Theres a kids menu and it was big portions which was nice although the fries seemed a little stale and not hot. The seafood pad thai was bland and fresh, very oceany.The waitress was nice and helpful.

I love eating here. The seafood is always fresh, and the variety of food is always so much to choose from. The waitress was very friendly and the manager was also quite accommodating and attentive.Trader Jacks Interior is creative, brings the relaxed island vibe of Tobago into the mix.

clean and family oriented setting.very clean restrooms.but, servers need to check on their tables more often.a few times we had very long wait times before the server came to take our order.their food is average, never had anything jump out as being spectacular.

Service was ok. We waited so long for our entree that our dinner came right after 😒. A total mess. The server was nice but not attentive the place was packed and with barely any waiters. Our drinks had no alcohol. Just not a good experience

Great restaurant. The decor inside is the most exciting of any restaurant I have seen. They have a small open pool with turtles and fish swimming around and a bridge to walk over. Very fun. The food was good and the service was ok. In the picture below I had a seafood pasta which tasted great. I have also had burgers here which are good.

Attended Trader Jacks for a birthday lunch and was not disappointed. The service was exceptional and the food was excellent. Service was provided quickly by a very pleasant waiter. The ribeye steak was well done and was so good with shrimps. The triple chocolate moose cake is a dessert that I highly recommend to anyone with a sweet tooth. Hope you have as much fun as I did at Trader Jacks. Will be revisiting soon.

Really unique and pleasant ambience. The setting is absolutely amazing for photos, and the drinks are really well done. The food isnt bad at all and the staff really very ordinary. All in all a pretty good experience.

Food is delivered fast although the servers take some time to acknowledge your existence. Customer service is okay the first time I came here the male server was really well with taking our order and giving his opinion on certain alcoholic drinks.

My wife and I had dinner on a Monday, perhaps being a somewhat slow night trainees were given some experience. I was not impressed with the service. I initially requested some water prior to looking at the menu. I was surprised when only a glass of water was given to me and not to my wife as is the general custom. The meals were substandard and I got the impression my meal was warmed up rather than freshly cooked.My wife did not get what she expected so at best the menu was not specific. Actually she thought she got the wrong item, but the waitress told her it was correct. Though the waitress was respectfully attentive she lacked the required professionalism. She does require further training, but I did not feel compelled to give her a tip. In all we did not enjoy our experience.

Great food. Nice atmosphere. Friendly and courteous service. Reasonable prices. Decent portions. The mussels are amazingly good. Had to come back a 2nd time to enjoy them once again. Would highly recommend Trader Jacks. My 1st time in Trinidad and enjoyed this restaurant, atmosphere, and service to the upmost.

Visited for restaurant week. Good selection of entrees on their restaurant week menu, having something for everyone. From vegetarian pasta, seafood, steak and chicken. This allowed the opportunity to sample meals I wouldnt usually try such as their lobster and mussels (which were lovely). Will be going back

After hearing terrible things about here I decided to try. I had lunch, their lunch menu is not extensive but it is comparably priced to other restaurants lunch.I had the chowder and the Alfredo.Chowder was very rich but not meaty enoughAlfredo was good. I mean it can’t be messed up.Overall I think I’d need to try other things to increase my review.
