The largest toy museum in the world, this venue offers a wide range of dolls & other collectibles.
Sorry.. Not worth it... Ticket too pricey...
The collections are massive..but the dim lighting & broken AC as well as strong smell of cik ti(kusruined the visit. The fee is quite high end aaa i warn you. Some toys are already eaten by the rodents.
Saw the entrance and run away faster .Place so horrible that the entrance looks like a haunted movie, to add on to this location when entering the ticketing counter there’s a big rat to greet you.
Once I inter the gate I smell toilet and saw Garbage at the front and rats walking on the wallIt is seems nobody cares about the place anymore
Not worthy. Very hot inside, all toys look old. Not recommended
Toys are authentic but ageing. Can visit if you are a hardcore fans
The toy was very good n great.... thousands of toys are ready for u...But very sad....the place not wells maintain..and the tickets abit xpensive..Not fit what we expected...sorry🙏
Sorry but this is not a good place to visit.- the museum is rundown.- there are a few rats running around. Got smell of rat urines too.- Aircon is not turn on, making the whole place very stuffy even when it is just the 3 of us there.- the ticket price is too expensive. Not worth the money. RM 24 for adults, RM 18 for kids.
OverpricedToo hotNeed to update website , improve the price to attract more crowd .The toys still acceptable if ticket fee reducing .
Even though certificate in Guinness Record need upgradeable to more attractive . Ventilation need improvement too heated.
Kids sure enjoy the toy Museum. But so far the place
A hidden gem of childhood memories in Penang, and it is hidden, to be real. Because of the location in Teluk Bahang quite far from Georgetown, and i overlooked its small & simple signboard several times when searching for direction. I had mix emotions when arrived there. Thought it was close, to be honest. Wild grass and bushes around the place. Probably due to post-MCO, the owner need some time to recover(positive thought). However it is worth the ticket to get around inside the museum. Most of the toys are from ouside countries, from tiny size to man-size action figures. In fact, some will surely reminiscing our old days adventures with our "imaginary friends" lined up in our collections some time ago. The owner must be over wealthy to make such place like that, like hes doing in just for personal satisfaction. Hope the place can do little more tweaks & changes to give more cheerful surrounding inside, especially the outside landscape, thus brings good impressions for visitors. Just another interesting place to visit in Penang.
Place is so-so. Ticket is a bit overpriced, but quite nice to see some old toys.
Disappointing experience. Everything is stacked in shelves and not much that would make this place qualify as a museum. Nothing to interact with and the set up is just dull. It’s eerie looking and run down.
Despite the many rather negative reviews, I thought it was pretty cool and quite fun (in 2011 though). Cannot tell if it was run down in the meantime. Giving it the benefit of a doubt due to the nice memory... All the Best(!)
The toys on display are dated - not in sync with the current trends. Also a bit pricey for dated and old displays....
RM24 for adult, RM18 for kids are expensive and not worth it at all. Poorly managed; dusty toys; no activity (just look at the display and can finished in less than 1 hour); only certain toys were display properly and most of it were just mixed up; and all the toys (including the actual size superhero replicawere put in the display box. Boring and very disappointed!
Not managed. A lot of dust. Horrible music. Expensive. No activity at all. Should not bring little child here. If you want to remind your childhood through old toys or you are a fan of fantasy movie or game it would be ok.
Fans of movies (especially horror, fantasy and superhero genres), TV series and comics would not be disappointed.I was very delighted with the collections that they have, and somewhat surprised to find more than what I bargained for. A wide range of toys and models, big and small, and wax figurines on display. My kids and I had a blast. Love Love Love them all...
Amazing collection of figurines. As a gamer and an avid comic book fan, you will be amazed with the collection. From World of Warcraft, to BioShock, to Halo, StarWars, Lara Croft , LOTR - this place has a lot of stuff. However, the way it is displayed is horrible. E.g. the Orc from World of Warcraft has cute toys which have no relation to WoW in the case. Its like everything has been dumped in without any thought. This takes away the immersion. With this much stuff, a lot of theming can be done to make this place much more interesting.
The museum is in a deserted place. The toy model is not much, mainly the characters in the movie. In addition to sightseeing, there is no other activity. Pretty high ticket, adult 39RM, children 29 RM.
Really cool place, has the largest amount of toys ive ever seen. Very nostalgic brings back many memories. Only thing Id say is it looks very run down outside which can be a Bit off putting. The exhibits inside are good but no upkeep as its all dusty and hot. But you do forget about that after a while as there is so many toys to look at. The life size characters are amazing
Very attractive concept but bit dissapointed on the environment and lighting set up
Great collection of figurine toys can be found here collected by the owner of the musem himself. The location of this private museum is a bit of the city but for those who love figurine toys will enjoy it.A little bit of care and maintenance might required as some of the display got dusted already.
The front view when I arrived was horrible. My mum was asking me if I went to the correct place. The tickets were pricey too. RM24 per person and no student price. I went in with my 12 years old cousin. I enjoyed the collection of toys. But, mantainence should be done. The toys were full of dust and were arranged messily. All the toys were compiled together. Some of the arrangement were weird. They arranged spidermans and goofy together. Then, my cousin commented, there was nothing to see. He did not feel the toys were interesting. The collection were more suitable for 80s or 90s adult.I will not come here for the second time.
(I didnt dislike it but just feel it worth 2 star.)Ticket for local adult is RM24/head. If you are a toy collector then surely u want visit it. Alot alot of collection we can see.But the price feel abit expensive and the place not so well to take care of . Maybe is the price ticket too low so the owner cant take care very well of it ? But with current price feel not worth it. So conflict feeling...
Awesome place for those who love toys!
already been here, not good at all... feel more into a scammed since the price is too much and the place do not have any activities for the visitors..since the price is rm24...it is not worth your time for only 1 hour walk to see toys... and I see other blog it said the price actually rm10 for adult and rm6 for children...but when arrived why the price very different? the place is too small and hot...not worth money to spent on...very disappointed
A lot toys there. Dusty due to low maintenance. Fees are compatible with toys quantity, not a very comfortable place. It depends on what you focus, if just only toys, its ok. I can see that museum dont make much money to pay for well maintain cost. Hardly to complain much.
Depend on what do you expect from "museum". I enjoyed it very much. Seeing the toys from my childhood on the display sure bring back lots of sweet memory. But my kid find it scary to look at the big sculpture. The place a little bit hidden from main road, so it does give off a bit "scary movie" aura. Still, good place to bring back the kid in me.
Coool place for toys figure collector my daddy spent 2 hours there
Toys Story, Small Soldier, my favourite figure is front of my eyes!
Toys are great but room is very small and hot. Acs are there but does not work much. Very low cooling. The price for visit is very high. 39 RM per person. Its not worth it for that much price.
Many toys but less attraction
Dont bother to go there . It should be called creepy and messy museum 😩. The price is unreasonable . On the web it only cost 10 MYR per person but actually it cost 38 MYR per person , the room is hot , uncomfortable, dusty, unorganized. The place is hard to be found, really small road . Save your money for going to another museum. Trust me, you gonna regret it !
This toy museum is not perfect & has many flaws but it doesnt deserve a 1 star rating like most of the reviewers are giving. The big collection alone is worth 2 stars. What I can suggest for this museum is to improve the presentation. Divide the area into sections that have different moods depending on the toy display of that section. Apply themes & proper lighting to set the vibe. That will be interesting. Right now its just plain cabinets & shelves of toys.
All toys are in glass crate
Not worth any penny at all. At the counter they told us the fees is rm39 include all 3 attraction that is toy museum, wax museum and handbags museum. We asked to enter the toy museum only they said we had to enter all three of em. So as we go inside theyre full of toys. But most of the toys are like junk toys that they put just to look the exhibit full. They even put McDonalds toys inside it. And all the big figures such as jack sparrow, king kong, kungfu panda and many more they cover it inside the box. Not as shown in their brochure that we can took pictures with it. As we move along to the exit we all wonder where are the other next museum. And as we go out we ask the counter it actually the big figures are wax museum and the handbags museum are all the junks handbags they put inside along with the toys. We felt so disappointed.
Avoid. Dont waste your money here. Price differs from brochure; Adult RM15, Child RM10.. while i was charged RM109 for 2 adults and 3 little kids.. being asked by the old lady if i am a Penangites is really annoying. Toys are really dusty, poorly maintained and arranged by someone who doesnt know the value of the toys.
don’t even worth any star. should put zero star.. worst museum ever, the ticket is unreasonable, the cashier is rude and the toilet can’t be use. should change the name to “dust museum”. please DO NOT come 🙏
Okay. Like this. I’ve been to places, therefore, toy museum is not new to me. Basically, its a venue for kiddos joy. Some overgrown adults I believe will fit in perfectly as well, especially those who want to cherish back their childhood toy years or those who were deprived of toys. I guess Im one of them who never really had toys. My toy games were five stones, snake and ladder, sage seeds, ice-cream sticks and potato patch work. These yesterday games obviously had died a natural death to be over-taken by hour glass Barbies, Super-The-Man, Brawoman, Fisher and Paykel expensive toys and what not. These days, we must include angry bird, your bird and my bird. Oh, before I forget, actually, I should have mentioned Ipad and Iphone first before anything else. So, at Toy & Fantasy Museum housed in the former premises of a nightclub called Shock Egypt, 10 minutes the most being among the happily grinning kids who if given a chance would have monstrously ripped apart the toys mostly displayed on metal shelves. I left. Honestly, I was quite disappointed, then again, no one is to be blamed. I read on-line and I decided to pop by.
Full of many animation collector.
I came here 5 years ago. It was a fun trip to see all the toys there.
The entrance fee is Damn Expensive. Toys are not arranged properly and dusty. The surrounding area also not maintained properly including the toilet. Not worth at All! 😤
Unreasonable pricing for local. The toys are not premium. But they do have a lot of toys that will bring back childhood memories. I find their collection of hellraiser figurines impressive, other than that is just a lot of old toys. And some human size toy "sculpture".
Worth taking young children here to kill the time.Great collection of toys... only wished that they are properly organised and displayed.Finding a parking spot should not be a problem.
Save your money. Not worth visiting. Just a bunch of toys throw together inside one place without proper label. Some are broken. For the money wise, its not recommended. You can finish tour the place in less than 20 minutes. Better visit war museum thab this old, rustic, not updated, poor museum. By the way, all the display are place inside a container, so u cant touch nor take photo like what they advertise in their flyers
Very big, I had great time here
Great place for big boy and small children. Amazing collection
lots of nice toys, but all behind dirty glass walls! We expected much more for this Price! Not worth to visit..
