Amazing place of history as gruesome as some of it were, and the Crown Jewels were simply splendid.Highly recommend the tour and well worth a visit, otherwise my advice is to book online and arrive early in the morning at 9am, the tour lasts about two and a half hours. The architecture of the buildings are absolutely amazing. The Beefeaters were so knowledgeable and had brilliant ways of talking about the history of the place.Great place to spend the day and have a picnic in the ground as well.Plenty of shopping to do around the area.

Worth the price. We spent about 2.5 hours here. We bought the audio tour and it was well worth it. We didnt finish all the audio tours in the time we were there because we got tired. A lot to see and a lot of history. Worth the stop.

Absolutely worth every penny of the £30 entry fee. If you are interested in English History or Tudor History you will not be disappointed. Staff in shops helpful , Yeoman guards knowledgable. Get there early as queues to go in different towers grow especially for the Crown Jewels which are spectacular. Some great photo opportunities.

Certainly a must see if you are traveling to London! The history of the Tower is hard to comprehend when you consider that the place is older than the United States. Lots of history to take in from the jail cells, torture machines, to the tower, the ravens, and all of the armament, weapons and cannons to see. The Tower also has the Crown Jewels on display. I would plan to arrive early if you do not wish to stand in line for extended periods to see the Crown Jewels. They are worth seeing though…especially if you want to see diamonds, emeralds and sapphires the size of golf balls. Unfortunately, photos of the jewels are not allowed or I would post some.As others have mentioned, there are a lot of stairs, narrow spiraling staircases and some narrow corridors to walk through. That said, it was certainly one of the many highlights on our London trip. I’ve seen people give estimates of time for this visit. I would say 3-4 hours is probably a good estimate (not including a long waiting time in line for jewels). We read some of the signage on displays and then just passed by others. If you are the type who reads it all, maybe longer.

Amazing experience. My nearly 7 year old daughter enjoyed every moment. Full of history. Yeomen were friendly and chatted to us, giving us even more information and facts. Would definitely visit again.Food slightly expensive in the cafe, but was expected considering its London.Actually attraction was relatively quiet. ( It was London marathon day could see parts of the marathon from the tower.Lots of shops to buy things from.

Amazing London history, loved the Crown Jewels, lucked out and saw the changing of the Guard and really liked the Armor and horses display! Was a wait to see the Jewels, but so worth it! Great views of the Tower Bridge from the grounds too!❤️🇬🇧

A must see for any London travelers interested in its rich history. Enjoy this amazing castle and all of its nooks of deep history. There are a lot of steps so keep this in mind. Its easy to get tickets and although there are a lot of people, its easy to navigate throughout. Tons of amazing photo opportunities. Have fun!

The Tower of London is one of those rare attractions that really holds up to the hype. You can take guided tours or wander around yourself (with or without guidebookthe amount of history in this place is really special. The ticket office recommends 3 hours to see everything and I would say that is pretty fair. All of the staff are really knowledgeable and helpful.

Great history lesson, lots of walking, tight spots so child strollers will struggle on most of the castle. Crown jewels are breathtaking, no pictures allowed. They could benefit from offering childrens crowns for sale at the end.

If you only read the notices then youre missing out on half of the visit. The architecture, though mostly rebuilt is a fascination in itself, the tours werent on today, I would have found them a distraction. Its good to go around at your own pace, and spend some time with the ravens. There are places to get food on site, would be even better to visit if theres an event happening.

Nice visit through the central castle, the jewellery house, the bloody tower, the torture room, the garden, the yards and the walls. Theres not much to see in any part of the complex except for the jewellery house in which are displayed the beautiful crowns,. Otherwise the main interest is just the medieval architecture...The experience is very expensive: 29.90£.Lets be clear, if you have visited other castles in Europe, It is not worth it at all.And the vendor will try to sell you the "donation ticket" which is 3£ more as a normal ticket so dont get trapped ! And when you ask for a normal ticket the vendor suddenly becomes cold and a bit rude with you...Its definitely the most expensive museum ticket I ever bought in Europe, and they still dare asking for a donation...

I had an absolutely fantastic experience. I originally did not care to go because I assumed it would be somewhat boring and too touristy. It was definitely touristy, but not at all boring. There was a lot to see, many very well put together exhibits. Interacting with the Yeomen was a highlight that I never expected. It was well worth the ticket price. The line to get in was of a moderate length and moved along fast enough. The line for the crown jewels was very long. I didnt pay the extra to see them and after seeing the line Im glad that I didnt. The Superbloom was also fantastic. If it is available during your trip, I highly recommend it.

Very interesting to learn about the towers history and to see the jewels was just breathtaking. I recommend going there in the morning as not too much tourists will be there. The crows however looked very sad in their small cage with no place to hide from the people. Thats why I only rate 4*

What a cool place to visit! It is like entering again in medieval age and live in there for a while. Everything was absolute perfect. I took an audio guide hat allow me to go around reliving other times. Everything was cured well and the guards impeccable. Due to the Queens death we were not able to follow the guards guided tour in the tower, but one of the guards allowed us to visit the chapel and told us about some interesting stories of that place and answered some of the tourists questions. It took me about 5 hours to go around following the audio guide and stopping to see the guards march and took some photos. The section dedicated to the jewels of the crown is really cool too. But it is a really quick look compared to all the oder stuff and you need to follow a guided path. I suggest you take your time to visit the place and scheduling at least 3 hours to have a good look around. I think its better to reserve a ticket online before you arrive, to avoid long queues.

A memorable experience! It was pouring when we got there, had to wait in long queues in the rain, but all worth it! All the staff inside were patient, kind, and generous in sharing historical information upon request, not once we felt we were being brushed off. The staff at the exit even apologised for the rain, that really made my day.

Definitely one of the must-see tourist attractions in london. We had the 9:00 a.m. first entry, and we thought it was perfect. We went straight to the crown jewels, and then to the White Tower, before there were a lot of crowds. There is an audio guide that allows you to hear about the vast majority of locations at the tower. Very interesting and very cool.

A place steeped in history, so interesting. Spent a lovely few hours here. Went early and there was no wait or queue to get in. There is a lot of stairs so buggies not ideal if you have a baby bring a sling so you can carry them around. There is an area where you can leave your buggy while you expore the place.. brought our own lunch and ate outside. Seeing the crown jewels were amazing.

Beautiful castle, lots to see and marvel at!There are many interesting sections, such as the White Tower or the Bloody Tower, all of which offer amazing insights into the Towers past. The highlights are of course the Crown Jewels which are fantastic to look at and come with a rich history. Also, the Yeoman Warders Guided Tours, which are already included in the admission price, are absolutely amazing and worth taking part in! Shout-out to Dave, our guide, for making it such an awesome experience! All in all, an absolute blast to visit, should definitely be a part of any London sight seeing trip!

I thoroughly enjoyed it. Felt like a member of royalty myself. The staff treated me incredibly well, and I made sure to stay out of the way of the soldiers on guard duty. (Always ask for a photo before taking it, as some places and people are not to be photographed). I was first in the garden walking around the full perimeter of the castle itself. The smell of the flowers was amazing, even found a giant Scottish thistle! The inside of the the castle was even more amazing. some of the rooms were well cool. And some rooms were a little stuffy, but some displays blew my mind, they were incredible. Andvthevtales that were told. One of the saddest was about the Two Princes. it was well worth the money.

Nice historic castle and tower walls. Stolen Crown Jewels from former colonies displayed with no sense of shame. At least the tour guides acknowledge the “donations” in quotes. Cool area w great food trucks and able to walk the Tower Bridge.

The Tower of London is well worth a visit, the Crown Jewels are a sight to see along with the the other museums, life size horses and armour. It’s a lovely walk around the towers, there’s quite a few steps in some places, it’s a very educational place, the palace ravens are kept there too and the guards are on duty.

Do you like historic places? If so, then youll like the Tower of London. Tour guides, audio guides available and extensive, and you WILL be waiting in line if its a holiday (especially to see the Crown Jewels). Getting into the Tower does NOT take long, but once youre in there will be lines for every part of it.

Very enjoyable day out, especially if you are into history of the kings, queens, architecture, weapons and armour of old. I would recommend going straight to see the crown jewel in morning like I did otherwise you will hit enormous queues in the afternoon as shown in the pictures. Even came across the castles trained crows while walking across the walls. Did not do the summer bloom but if you are into gardens and flowers it looked like a pretty walk through from up above.

This might be one of my favourite tourist places I have visited in London. The history of this place is amazing, and all the different parts of this mini city within the city are stunning to walk around. I would greatly recommend spending a full morning or afternoon there (also as to make the cost of tickets more worth it).

Such a fascinating place! So much to see and the history is amazing! Went early for the Crown Jewelry and was in very quickly, later in the day the queue was huge all the way down past the white tower so would recommend going early! Plenty to do there and to see. Visited the Tower of London to see the Kohinoor Diamond and the Ravens. No pictures are allowed inside the Crown Jewels exhibit, which was disappointing. This is a good place to visit if youre deeply interested in British history, but otherwise can feel like an underwhelming and overpriced experience. There are a many free museums that Id recommend prioritizing over a visit to the Tower of London.

Went for the Superbloom event in the most. Really peaceful and quiet considering where you are. The slide was amazing but just one go was a little stingy!! Its so nice that they are going to let the flowers seed and keep this area flowering for years to come. Great place for a quiet hour watching the bees buzz by.

Busy but it still felt ok and not too crammed... However the queue for the crown jewels was immense so we ended up not visiting them.Good kids activities in the white tower, including archery and sword fighting games.Torture section was rather small and disappointing. If you want hot food for kids though, you have to buy an adult portion... The so called "childrens hot meal" was chips... Onion rings... Gravy...And what protein, I asked? Nothing else...For grown ups there were burgers and pasties and more... We ended up at the hot dog stall instead...

A great piece of history and well worth a visit if you’ve never been. Crown Jewels are amazing! The exhibitions haven’t really modernised though and so not many interactive elements or use of IT to enhance the experience - I’d say kids under 8 or 9 will be bored.

Great place to check out in London! The Tower of London has so much history and interesting buildings to explore. Plan to spend a few hours here, as there are many things you can see in this area. We stayed for a couple hours but could have maybe spent even longer if we wanted. The Crown Jewels area was probably the most crowded place here, but it wasn’t actually too bad when we arrived after lunch. Would recommend visiting! It was educational and interesting.

Great day out, lots of history and beautiful views of the castle and Tower Bridge and a nice cafe inside. You can follow a guided tour or purchase an audio guide, though neither is particularly needed as there is plenty of information displayed in all parts of the castle. Not really suitable for buggies or wheelchairs as there is lots of stair climbing involved.

Amazing place to visit! We had recently come from Ireland and to hear the different pieces of British and Irish history intertwine was really neat! Historical and fascinating trip!A day here is a day well spent. I have always wanted to visit and I was not disappointed. We visited all of the spots and every site I learnt something. It was incredible to see the dark history that lies here and is still present today. The whole experience was fantastic and as an attraction, was done incredibly well. Everything is thought out brilliantly, with interactive spots along the way. This London hot spot is a MUST for all ages. You can wonder for hours… learning the deep, dark history. As well as bestowing the views of the Crown Jewels and armoury of the soldiers of many years ago. All of which are incredible to see in the flesh. There is facilities and a cafe - of which we enjoyed soup and a hot drink. Both of which were welcome on a cold day, but also were very tasty. Very impressed with my visit here and will definitely come back in the future!

Just so much history to take in you wont believe it! Over a thousand years of history right in front of your eyes. The tours are given by extremely knowledgeable men and women who have served their country so faithfully and are really proud of their positions guarding the historic tower. Go early if you want to see the crown jewels easily as it gets crowded and there is a line later in the day. It was worth every second we spent there and every penny of the entrance ticket! You cannot miss the crown jewel in Londons historic buildings!
