Tower Bridge Rd, London SE1 2UP, Charef
Panoramic views from high level walkways and behind-the-scenes access to original lifting machinery.
Works are falling short to describe the beauty of this place. Its so beautiful and peaceful to be there and see the lights 😍😍Go there at evening..have a walk..enjoy the hot and sizzling sweets ships nearby. You can also enjoy Christmas market which is just beside this. It has turned more beautiful in December ♥️A must visit for tourists. It is just beside the Tower of London.
Firstly, although the staff were great at sorting me out when I didnt have a paper ticket and just one on my phone, it is not good that paper tickets are needed (and they printed mine out). In todays age and ecological crisis, paper should not be needed. They need to sort that. There is no wheelchair access that I could see. Lots of stairs both up and down so be aware! Theres also not a huge amount to see in the towers themselves. Considering this is not a free attraction, I would expect more.Having said that, DO go to the engine rooms. That was excellent and informative. Well worth the trip.Overall, just about worth it for the price. Dont make it your big trip of the day though. Its fun but short.
Visited with my daughters guide troop and well looked after. The views from the top bridge are stunning and the glass floor/mirrored ceiling had them experimenting with their phone cameras for ages. Some of the girls even made their Promise on the glass floor, which will be a special memory. The displays and history of the bridge are all excellent and the staff were all lovely - providing a great experience. Recommended.
Must visit spot if you are in UK, specially London. Spent good time there alone but got to know many people. Loads of tourist were there and many seems to be helpful.Since childhood had read about it and wad dream come true to visit it.Loved it.
Lift wasnt working which wasnt great when I had a disabled ticket. Apart from that we very much enjoyed having a look round and learning all about its history and origins as well as visiting the engine room to see things still working. Enjoyed the glass floors and very impressed with how clear they were
This was for my mechanical engineer and history freak husband. Built in 1864 dont miss the engine room, sit and watch the brief film shown with oral history of builders. The bridge is being used as we walk over and beside the traffic on the bridge. Beautiful background with river.the
Very nice and easy bridge to walk over. It does get quite windy so make sure to hang on to anything that might fly away. Beautifully made structure and you are able to go up top and see some really cool things. Definitely a must, at least to walk across and take some nice pictures.
The most iconic bridge in London. It has its own beauty. I enjoyed walking on the bridge and it is the most popular landmark from photography. The history is also very interesting. I highly recommend to go on the top of the bridge as you can get a amazing view.
When walking across, it is way more impressive and huge than on photos. The old lifting mechanism is still in use and the whole bridge is a wonderful building. It is definitely worth taking a little detour to cross the Thames over Tower Bridge.
What a gem this is. I had no idea you could walk over the top of Tower Bridge and look to the river below through the glass floor. The engine rooms are a must visit also (these are included with your ticket but don’t have to be done at the same time). Grab a cuppa after the bridge then head down to the engine room. You’ll enjoy it more that way.
The beautiful tower bridge. (Tourists often confuse this to be the London bridge.)Well this is a bridge too, and check out the pictures to see how amazing it looks when a big ship passes and the bridge is open. This is one of a kind bridge. To know more about its construction do visit inside the tower bridge. It’s amazing to see vehicles crossing under you.Great tourist spot , walk the bridge to see it in detail. It’s a must do in London!
Not to expensive - £22.80 approx €26.00 for 2 adults. Very pleasant morning outing. Very informative walkabout with fantastic views from the top. The glass floor on the East and West walkways is a nice addition. Not everyone can stomach the glass floor. Good fun to watch people doing the walk.
THIS WAS MY HIGHLIGHT FROM WHEN I VISITED LONDON. I had the most fun here! Definitely spent a good 4-5 hours total. From strolling around it, walking through it, climbing it, taking pictures inside it, relaxing over the walking glass, reading about it’s history inside… all in all, plan to spend at least 2 hours here. I then when to the tower bridge shop and did some souvenir shopping. My favorite place for sure in London 🤍
My wife and I attend an event last night 24th September 2022 as guests for the London Bridge Trust. We like to thank the host and Tower Bridge staff for a wonderful evening and for providing us access to pray on the 3rd floor. We had attended the event and witnessed a flotilla procession all from the walkway. It was a bit scary at first, walking on the glass with a view down to the bridge and river. We had an awesome view of London, the raising and lowering of the Bridge.Overall a wonderful experience.I do recommend others to purchase tickets and go up the walkway. Thanks to all involved in the event.
A walk on the top of Tower Bridge is a must do activity in London. Its just £11 per adult. You can go up using the lift or the steps. I highly recommend the steps unless you have difficulties climbing 250 steps.Views from the top of the bride are spectacular. There are small windows that you can open to take unobstructed photos of London skyline. There is even a glass walkway that can seem scary at first. But once you get over the initial fear, its fun to walk on it.The Engine room is worh a visit and shows the fascinating engineering that went into making this massive Bridge.
The most beautiful bridge in the world 🙂 we bought tickets to go inside.. There is exposition with photos, engine and some of the material from the past.. You can go up the stairs of by lift. There is a glass floor to see the river Thames. You can find web page with dates and time when the bridge opens
The most iconic view to visit in London! I didn’t go up the bridge but walked along the river instead. Definitely have to come and take the photo with the bridge. It is the check point for visiting London! You can come here by train at the tower bridge station.
We visited the iconic Tower Bridge because it was on the London Pass. Not only did we get to see the bridge and all its glory, but were able to walk across the top and into the engine rooms below. What history and amazing architecture. A must see when visiting London
Classy. Authentic. Majestic. This thang is out of this world. It’s an easy hour walk, circling the bridge. And I strongly recommend you so that. The surrounding buildings complement the bridge well surprisingly. The Golden Gate Bridge of London. It’s easily a must visit spot here
Walked over it but have never paid to go in it!! Amazing just to be in the heart of London and see Tower Bridge in the flesh. Large queue to get into it though so I will take the opportunity to go inside the next time Im in London. Amazing views.
Fantastic recommend to all. Go inside and climb up the stairs ( or take the lift, walk across the glass floor , back down the other side and then follow the blue line to the engine rooms, impressive and worth the money, great views all round from the top. Beautiful bridge ,
Take the stairs if you can to learn the history and get some stats about the bridge. Ultimately it is a bridge so not much to do once up apart from admire the views of London and stand (or jump as some people didon the glass floor. I suppose for bridge enthusiasts it can be quite a nice way to spend an hour. I loved being in a place that I have only ever seen in films and from a distance.
The Tower Bridge. Now while there’s no cost to cross the bridge I would highly recommend purchasing tickets to go across up top. It’s well worth the steps. If you need to take a lift one is available but seeing the staircases, and all the factual, historical information they give you on the way up makes it all the more worth it.We bought tickets for 13.30 and arrived a bit early, and the staff didn’t mind us getting in the queue. It was a bit long but moved very quickly, again you could take the lift or the stairs we chose the stairs (we were told there’s somewhere around 260 of them). As you walk up the stairs there are posts and placards that tell you all sorts of facts regarding the material that went into the bridge and other fascinating details. The wood creaking stairs only adds to the experience. Once at the top there’s a spot to rest even before going to the upper bridges. You may think the entire upper bridge is “glass bottom” it isn’t, but each side does have a small section where if not to crowded you can even lie down and take a photo. You’ll walk all the way across one, down the other and turn around where then you can decide you next move.Once down the stairs they send you off to the Engine Room which is also included and the gift shop. This alone has been such a worth while part of our visit, I would highly recommend it.
A really fascinating insight into one of Londons most iconic landmarks. Really good to see the history of the bridge from the first stone to current day. Loads of interesting artefacts on display and informative videos to watch, as well as the glass floor. Overall a really good experience and in my opinion excellent value for money.
Tower Bridge, the most photographed landmark, is one of the most popular tourist attractions in one of the world’s most popular tourist destinations, the historic city London. It’s built over the River Thames which beautifies this magnificent iconic architectural engineering of the structure. No one can afford to miss climbing the top of the bridge as this enables to view the surroundings and enjoying to see the bridge splitting upwards.
Something of a must see but felt a little let down as it has been made so touristy. The bridge even had a souvenir store at its base. Felt the Golden Gate Bridge was more of an experience. That being said, it is something to see live that you’ve seen so many times in pictures. Tower of London was shut but it was interesting architecture.Next off to the west end sights.
Tower Bridge is one of most important attractions in London. There are several excellent views from the Top of Tower Bridge. You can see the road from transparent glass under the feet. Best place to take a lot of pictures. Superb views can be covered in both sides of the Bridge. Also, there is the Engine room which explain how the Bridge opens when a big cruise/ship passes through. In 1952, there was one bus which jumped the bridge.
Awesome iconic structure we did the tour which is highly recommended where you get to go to the top of the bridge and look down on the Thames though the glass panels not recommended for anyone with a fear of heights mind as its a hell of a long way up!The whole area around the bridge is really cool too lots of great bars etc especially recommend going in the Vault a pub/cafe underneath the bridge which looks directly over the river which the barmaid explained used to be the coal storage room for obviously when the bridge was still stream powered.Stayed in a premier inn which is in tower hill just a couple of hundred yards down the road, second time weve stayed there and definitely will do again as its so ideally situated. Great area.
We checked out Tower Bridge on a weekday in May. We walked right in and got tickets without any problems. Amazing to see the architecture and nearby steam engine rooms. Scenic views from the top. Loved the glass floor! Well worth your time to see this historical sight.
Tourist attraction worth a visit. Climb the 129 steps to the top and get great views of London. Glass floor sections are great, good views of the river Thames below. Booking not essential but cuts down on queuing time. Engine rooms are in a separate part of the attraction but just a short walk across the bridge.
Just go and sit in the park next to tower bridge in the evening. ITS amazing. Very beautiful view. Luckily saw opening/closing of bridge which was really cool, scientific and amazing. Would love to be around whenever in London
Often confused with london Bridge, its a good spot to take photos. Gives you a good view of London. Theres a "tour" where you can walk on one of the towers and walk across but it cost around 11£++. I didnt do it tho as I felt it wasnt worth it and basically if I wanted a good view of London high up I would go to the shard.
Tower Bridge of London- one of the most Iconic place to visit in London. Some cases it has been the symbol of London for decades to decades.Tower bridge was built between 1886 to 1894, designed by Horace Jones!Every year millions of tourist come to see this bridge from all around the world. Tower bridge has an excellent view from all around side, it has a connection with London bridge as people pass by.I visit Tower Bridge very often. Its such a nice place for hangout with friends and family members.
This is a most iconic bridge in London. It is a beautiful history getting to see.Very impressed with the quality of exhibition inside tower bridge. Pleasant to hear the story of tower bridge on how it was built and operated. It was a great experience into the transparent bridge two walkways above street and river level. The glass floors were really cool. For the people who has height issue, there is a wooden walkway to the side. Moreover fabulous view of city on the bridge, if youre lucky you see the bridge being raised. There is a schedule for it in their website. The streets around the tower bridge are lively having plenty of cafe, ice cream van, bar and restaurants.Overall a good experience and a good time to spend time with family.
Beautiful area to walk around and appreciate Tower of London and Tower Bridge. You can pay to access both inside the castle and the top of the bridge, the bridge definitely looks worthwhile but just strolling around the area and enjoying the atmosphere when the weather is highly recommended!
The most iconic bridge in London, if not the entire world. It is a beautiful site and is a great feature for photographs both as the main subject and background. There are several humorous stories relating to the bridge including a bus driver who drove over the bridge while it was opening and a business man who was under the impression he was purchasing Tower Bridge but was actually purchasing London Bridge.
One of the busiest tourist places in the London. A must visit. It has got many view spots and eatery places around. ❤️ Best to any out with friends for a drink or coffee while enjoying this amazing historic view.
I was very impressed by the quality of the exhibition inside Tower Bridge telling the story of how it was built and operated. Easy walk through the history, photos and stories of those who were involved. There is a glass floor to see the river Thames and the bridge underneath.Very recommended London attraction for any age.
The famous bridge of London. Its called Tower Bridge because its next to the Tower of London this is not London Bridge. If youre lucky you see the Bridge being raised, Ive since that occur once in my life time. There is tour but I havent done that yet. Makes for a great photo and just simply stunning.
This is one beautiful bridge. The history is also very interesting. I highly recommend this going inside. The view from the bridge is nice. They have a glass floor on the topOf the bridge that was really nice. It’s worth going up for sure!!
If youre in London you must visit Tower Bridge. The bridge really is a sight to behold! The view from the banks either side is fantastic! Its also close to The Tower of London and Butlers Wharf. If youre brave enough you can go right up top and look through a glass bottom but not liking heights, that wasnt for me!
Well worth a visit, the walk at the top is great, they have a couple of windows that look down onto the road below. Another nice touch, is they have small opening windows on the walk, so you can take photos of the views with out the problem of reflection on the glass. Try to schedule your visit to a bridge opening!
Fabulous views and reasonably priced. The mirror above the glass floor was a newer addition I hadnt seen before. Although taking the lift would have been easier we enjoyed the climbing the steps up reading facts along the way, it made the top a treat. Photos from the top came out really well 👍Small children enjoyed the engine and pump room, it is very well restored.
Excellent experience awesome helpful staff so much information and history available about this iconic bridge. Not too expensive and you get a discount on the For of London monument as well. Brilliant view of the Thames and The City.
It was a great experience to enter the Tower Bridge towers, go up and down the stairs and especially walk the two walkways above street & river level. The glass floors were really cool. They dont extend across all the way but only in the middle of both walks, and for people who dont like it there is a wooden walkway to the side so this is suitable even for the less daring. You get a great panorama from up there. The engine rooms also come with the ticket & you get to see how the bridge was operated in steam engine time.
My husband and I went inside the tower bridge. The place is beautiful, both from the outside and the inside. You can read about the bridge’s history inside and walk the bridge on a glass panel that will make for some beautiful pictures. The ticket for the Tower bridge also includes a pass to the engine room and souvenir shop, which are outside in a different building. Overall a good experience ⭐️
It felt very safe, was beautiful history getting to see it. If you want to go here tell everyone you want to go to or get directions for the "tower bridge or the drivers take you to a flat bridge that is also called the London bridge. Yep it happened to me so be more knowledgeable than I was. Also a great little walk between the flat London bridge and the river with restaurants and coffee places. Very romantic little stroll ...London was amazing!!!
What fun. Old world and new age blends perfectly here. Went there around sunset. The lights add a different level of glam to the experience. One word to describe it - majestic. We even got to see the bridge open up.Over all nice experience even though it was raining and it was windy.
I love this Landmark. All but the traffic! And the crowds of people. London has so much history! The walk along the river to tower bridge is such a lovely little stroll even though it is busy. So much to see. Love the little tower bridge shop too.
A lovely landmark for all the familyThe high-level West Walkway is great for taking in stunning panoramic views and experience the thrill of seeing London life through the Glass Floor. You Follow in the footsteps of the unsung heroes of Tower Bridge. Uncover their stories and soak in the atmosphere of the working Bridge in one of Londons true hidden gems: the magnificent Victorian Engine Rooms.
