Totoco Eco-Lodge in Rivas

This place is blissful at the best of times. Up a hill, in the lush greenery with amazing views of the island and lake.The staff do everything possible to make you feel welcome and looked after. They helped us organise everything we wanted to do on the island.Unfortunately I broke my ankle whilst hiking on Ometepe, and the kindness I was shown by the reception team - Angel, Pablo and Tanya, was next to none. As well as this, the kitchen team went out of their way to accommodate us when we got back really late after the accident and small touches like towels being put out for us when we got caught in the rain. I cant thank them all enough.I still have very fond memories of this beautiful island despite my injury and thats largely due to the kindness I was shown by everyone at Totoco Eco-lodge and on the island in general.

I stayed here for one week, it was FABULOUS!I will come back there for sure !The service is amazing, the people are so kind, they take care of us. I will miss them !The lodge standard with one room was very beautiful and comfortable, with a nice bathroom.I enjoyed to wake up with songs of birds and monkeys.The way to go there is a little bit difficult you need a car or a moto. You can rent easily or book taxi (they have good contact). Taxi are around 20$ in car or 10$ in moto both ways.The food in the restaurant was amazing and the cocktail as well. There are 5 or 6 choices for the breakfast (which is includedwith coffee and fresh juice.The swimming pool was nice with a very nice view (volcano Conception). Be careful with the wasp but there are not aggressive.I recommend this place, it was so peacefully. Thank you very much for your kindness ♡

I cannot say enough great things about this place! The view, location, serenity and rawness really makes for a special experience in nature. What truly puts Totoco above other places is the incredible staff. They were all beyond lovely and always willing to help with any questions - a big thank you 😊 I highly suggest staying here and experiencing for yourself while on Ometepe. I look forward to returning!

As everyone has noted on the previous reviews,the views and staff are absolutely amazing. I would not recommend bringing scooters up the mountain, it was a bit of an adventure:you can ask to park scooters at a home at the bottom and offer to pay to have one of the families keep an eye on them.

Perfect place for a drink by the pool and a relaxing sunset. We didn’t use the accommodation but the staff was lovely and a perfect way to end a day on Ometepe.

Excelente lugar para despejar tu mente del bullicio de la ciudad.Debes saber que es ecológico por lo que no encontrarás inodoros en sus cabañas sino pompom muy bien diseñados

This is a lovely hotel in the best area of ometepe. We spent 3 nights in a bungalow. Staff were very helpful and their recommendations for tours and restaurants were spot on. Also sorted us private taxis on the mainland. The rooms are semi open to the elements so bugs do get in but the mosquito net was in good condition. Showers and toilets are in a private outside area. Eco toilets are provided and are clean and low odour. The shower is meant to be heated by a ground fermentation tank method. However, they were no warmer than the cold tap, hence the loss of a star. The hotel is a 20min steep walk from the main road. Dirt bike gets up it fine with a few bumps. Taxis can come up and get you.

Difficile daccès : il faut un VTT ou encore un véhicule 4x4 pour se rendre ( ce qui augmente le prix du séjour si vous pensiez louez un scooterLa vue est magnifique et il sagit de petite cabane en nature ( il ne faut pas avoir peur des insectes... ).La nourriture de lhotel est ok, mais sans plus. Le personnel était gentil, mais pour la réservation dactivité il vaut mieux magasiner un peu car ils noffrent pas les meilleurs prix.

Accomodation was some of the best in the whole of Central America. so incredibly beautiful, sustainable and eco friendly. Staff were amazing, one including Diana who served us an incredible breakfast one day. Highly highly recommend

Words cannot describe the beautiful views that are available throughout different areas of this hotel! The staff is absolutely friendly specially Pablo, they really go out of their way to help you resolve any issues you may have. I highly recommend you have either an ATV or 4x4 vehicle if you are driving yourself since the road up is tricky but its worth it once youre up there. Make sure you take the time to enjoy the infinity pool... its absolutely breathtaking with its view.

Beautiful views from the property. The rooms were kept clean and the staff were very helpful, especially Pablo. The food and drinks are very reasonably priced and delicious. Would recommend hiring a car or an ATV as the road to the lodge is bumpy and the lodge itself is quite remote.

The views from the property are lovely. However, it is extremely difficult or costly to go anywhere on the island from here.Additionally, we had no electricity and no hot water for the whole of our three night stay. They refunded me the cost of my stay which I appreciated, but I wish we had stayed somewhere else on Ometepe. Next time.

Upon arriving on the island of Ometepe, I rented a motorbike. It was easy to find a rental shop with a range of rentals, including options such as ATVs, motorbikes (off-road), mopeds and bicycles. In order to get to Totoco, you can ask for a taxi, but I recommend an ATV or motorbike for ease and accessibility. The way to Totoco is rugged and off the main road (all for a more private experience and a commanding view of the island and Volcano Conceptión).For an Eco-lodge, it’s surprisingly clean.The view is positively breathtaking with a sunset vantage behind the island’s prized Conceptión Volcano. The pool is unique and perfect for watching the sunset or night sky. Pool cleanliness is a 6/10. (It’s an ecolodge with a lot of surrounding trees and plants...)The staff is warm and I received a glass of cold orange juice upon arrival.The rooms are private and clean, each with its own space, far from other guests.I highly recommend a night or two in this premiere location.

Best view in all of Ometepe! This place is absolutely stunning. Pablo went out of his way to make sure you were having the best experience possible during your stay. He was always smiling and willing to help you with anything you needed. He is simply the best!! Would recommend this place to anyone that wants a quiet getaway with an amazing poolside view of the volcano and surrounding lake.

It is an absolute magical place in the most beautiful island. There are not enough starts for the p,ace and the ambient, simple yet very very cozy experience Totoco has to offer. We will be back for sure!

The place is really beautiful and our new friend Pablo is the best! Try his mojito - highly recommended! He always pays attention to you and is very kind! The baños are very special, but its okay. The shower in the nature is a good experience. Make sure you will drive a SUV to get there, because the way is really bumpy. We definitely will come back one day and enjoy the nice view to the volcano again.

Un excelente lugar donde se puede apreciar la diversidad de flora y fauna, asi como también, disfrutas de la panorámica vista del Lago Cocibolca y su atardecer.

Great staying here! The 5 minutes car ride to go up the hill is bumpy but the view is worth it. We were staying in the family house which is huge and very elegant. Probably the most beautiful view of the volcano from the roof top pool. Great managing staff and staff member in general. Infinite pool is also great and always clean. Price are fair considering the location. Very safe and secure. Waterless toilet are not a problem and we never smelled any odor.

Excellent hostel, its more like paradise. The food was amazing, breakfast is included in your stay. Dinner was excellent and gives you option of vegetarian or meat.Staff is very welcoming and will organize shuttles and guide if you want to hike a volcano.. Adonis was a great guide, I would recommend requesting him to guide you up a volcano.
