Tortuga Village in Sonsonate

Honestly I was sketched out to go to this hotel, but once here I loved it! Hotel rooms from the outside look small but in reality they are very spacious! The pool is amazing, very well taken care of. Honestly will recommend everyone to visit here.

A 3-star beachfront hotel where you sleep hearing the surf steps from the ocean front. The lowest price bungalow was two levels. The top level was a simply furnished sleeping area with 2 full size beds and a modern private bath with shower. The room was spotless. The linens and towels were good quality. The ground level has a private rocking lounger, hammock, and picnic table with seating. With that said, the overall level of service is very good. As others have noted, the on-site food menu is a bad value. Fortunately, the neighboring Betos is a 50 meter walk down the beach.

I loved my stay here. Great service, clean and beautiful grounds. The villas are spacious and beautiful facing the ocean. I got a massage one morning and I was in heaven!!!! Would 100% go back.

I stayed with my children in this hotel for two nights, I absolutely did not make a mistake to choose this beautiful place. The bungalows are very nice environment and is well done cleaned, the room, the beds and the bathroom as well. Beside it, the service is EXCELLENT, all the staff are friendly and attentive (Thanks to all of them). The food is very good and if you want to eat on the beach they serve you there or else on the ground floor of your bungalow they can also serve you down there. It is a completely safe and clean place. There are restaurants near the hotel that you can even visit - you dont even need vehicle, you can go just walking on the beach to get there. I also had relaxing massage at the sound of the natural waves and sea breeze - that was awesome, I needed actually. We also had tourism transportation service that the hotel itself provided for us recommending a direct subcontractor, Felipe and Fernando Molina are part of the excellent service of this hotel to go for a walk through other places around of this city and also in other tours through El Salvador 503 77346241; these two guys are friendly and professional. I highly recommend this hotel. I am invited to come back to Tortuga Village to enjoy again. Thank you everyone for your great and professional service

The huts are cool and beach front. Not enough food options. No mini-fridge or microwave in rooms if you are traveling with small children (milk or baby foodor elderly (meds).

No microwave, no fridge, not a variety of food to choose from their menu, a lot of stray dogs in packs, on the beach and they can just run up to you at anytime on the property, no outside food or drinks allowed, and terrible parking area.

The cabana is super cute has a big bath tub and downstairs has a table that you can have food. The food is good and quick. My only improvement point would be about the external area by the beach, they definitely could clean up that area better and also have more things to do in there.

Great nature inspired resort. Property is well kept and staff are very friendly (even with the language barrier). Best thing was our tour guide. Felipe from Felipe Tours was phenomenal. Professional, punctual, knowledgeable and very invested in ensuring we were good at all times. Not sure when we’ll be back to El Salvador but would definitely come back as long as Felipe was still in the tour business.Thanks Felipe for making our trip so much fun!JP

I love tortuga village was excited and excellent my wife and my son was happy we went for only 1 day but my wife told me I wish to stay for 2 days los bungalos was comfortable, the beach was clean And nice Relaxed I have been here twice couse I love it, the customer service nice they take your order wherever you are,good for my family the only thing thatI didnt like was the Massage no professional.I am Jose Pereira

I celebrated my 40th birthday at Tortuga Village Hotel and I had the most amazing time. It was a trip with my friends and we enjoyed it. The bungalows are super cute. We had a rather beautiful view from our bungalow and the sunsets were phenomenal. The food was great. Not very often you experience an island and enjoy the food. Breakfast was included which was an absolute plus. All the staff were amazing and accommodating! I would like to personally shout out Lillian (Lillyfor going above and beyond and taking great care of us. She was always pleasant, very friendly, always made sure me and my friends had all we needed. She made my birthday dinner setup very possible at the tikki bar by the beach with balloon my friends brought with them and decor. We also had a sunset dinner for one of my friends who was also celebrating her birthday and it was spectacular. Lilly also helped set up a sunset boat ride while we were there. I had an overall great experience and I am looking forward to going back in the future.

We stayed at Tortuga Village for a group trip we took to celebrate my best friend and cousins birthday. The staff was extremely accommodating. Lily was absolutely amazing. She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our time. They were able to help us surprise both ladies with special birthday dinners. We had brought balloons with us and they blew them up and decorated the areas for us, including the sunset dinner we had for one. Words cannot express how grateful we were and hope to go back there again one day. And the sunset on the beach was the icing on the cake.

Stayed here with my wife for her birthday it was an amazing experience! We booked same day showed up they let us even preview our bungalow before charging us! Lilian was very sweet and went above and beyond to get my wife a mini cake with a candle and she kept making sure we were good. I am from El Salvador and they treated me with respect and attention. They focus on quality over quantity! Rene was amazing also quick with bringing us food and drinks without a problem. I will definitely fly back soon and come again and bring more family with me!

I booked two nights at this hotel. The rooms are very nice and clean however the service was above all the worst in El Salvador. While I was with my boyfriend in the pool the security guard kept passing by us to check my beach bag. No food or beverage from outside are allowed. I did have bottles of water inside my bag and he came and accused me of having a bottle of alcohol. I did not. And showed him the water bottle But he continued to harass us by walking by every 10 minutes making our night very uncomfortable so we just went to our room instead. The next night we ordered dinner around 7:00pm and we’re eating below our bungalow and had a small mega boom box with music. My boyfriend and I were still able to have a conversation and the same guard came and said our music was too loud and that it was bothering other guests. The only other 2 guests that night were 2 other bungalow and they were on the other side of the pool. I even walked with him to the other side of the pool to show him you could barely ever hear the music. At this point I felt this was more of a personal issue to which at that time I did not even have the option to complaint because the manager left him in charge as she left at 5:00pm. So once again I was forced to go inside my room. I hate to say it but it appeared to me he had favors with American guest vs me and my boyfriend since we both are from El Salvador yet reside in the USA. I would never recommend this place with this type of service and would never come back. I did complain to the manager while I was checking out however all she said was “I am sorry “.

I paid by phone for 2 bungalos on 06/26 when we got there only 1 was available so we canceled it, still waiting on my refund

Kinda sad to see this place going downhill, I stayed twice last year and everything was amazing but I was there this week and it was not good, they food has always been overpriced but this time was not good at all, the waiters literally ignore us and we have to ask and wait long time for drinks, they fumigate the place while we were at the pool. I recommend this place to everyone I know but after this week I won’t anymore. I really love the concept of bungalows facing the ocean. But they need to train their employees properly and definitely fix the food menu. I hope they do it soon so we can go back and have a blast like we did last year.

The staff, food, amenities, and scenery where amazing! Such a beautiful place in an amazing country. We will definately be back!! Thank you for a great experience!!!

Worst service in my life I went there , wait 1 hour just to get drinks then 2 more hours to get cold food ; I asked to give me everything to go :/ everybody was upset cause so far everybody was waiting for food 🥘, and the places was at 50 or 40 % capacity

Tortuga Village is phenomenal. The beach was wonderful. The pool is lovely. Yes, the house shakes as you walk around. It didn’t feel unsafe, more like a treehouse. The view is amazing. The food is now available and was very good. We particularly enjoyed the beds on the beach. WiFi is also now available.

We enjoyed our stay at Tortuga Village! We were treated with respect and service was excellent! Our room was clean and the views to the pool and the beach were amazing! This is for sure a place to relax and to return!<br/>Staff at La Hola Beto’s was very helpful and always ready to offer their services. We really had an outstanding service there!<br/>The Tiki Bar is an amazing little bar with the nicest bartenders!<br/>While at this beautiful place, we met some very humble and extremely helpful people. We went on a boat trip with Rutas Acuáticas Molina and it was relaxing, exciting, enjoyable and knowledgeable! We saw an amazing sunset! I highly recommend Rutas Acuáticas Molina! Mr. Molina and sons Felipe and José went beyond their way to help us with our stay among the country!

The views and decor of this hotel was absolutely gorgeous. I loved the rustic vibes. I loved that a bar and restaurant are steps away. The beach is clean and safe and that was my main concern. The beach was my view every morning. Shower is salt water so keep that in mind but it was the experience regardless. Breakfast included was perfect since it was delivered to you. The only thing i wish was the details. I was visiting so I had no service. I questioned how to get WiFI, menu for breakfast, and or know what activities are around (excursions). Wasnt provided or posted any where. Many of the workers didnt know and said to go in reference to email. (Again i am not from El Salvador so i had no cellular serviceIf a booklet was provided as many boutique hotels provide, that would help in so many aspects. I felt like a bother and that was disappointing. I recommended per location and amenities to family to visit. I would recommend highly to anyone.

Beautiful place, nice light sand beach, awesome pool with build in tanning loungers, & waterfall. EXCELLENT service and friendly staff. The rooms are beautiful huts with open lounge areas below and the bedroom above. Amazing. Will definitely return.

Don’t waste your money, the place is ugly and overpriced, to get to the place you have to go trough dirty roads and lots on garbage everywhere were, the area look dangerous

Cabins are really nice but everything need improvement, service, communication, activities etc... For me this place is way too overpriced!

I recently stayed one night with my family. The hotel was nice. There were a few issues there was so many mosquitoes, they should have the repellent or tiki torch there was no way of staying on the hamaca because of the mosquitos. One of the huts that had the second bed on the top part we did not feel the ac it was super hot. Also the water for showers and sink was salty, like i saw in the other reviews we didn’t feel clean after coming out from the shower.

Dont waste your money at this location, theres no restaurant so you have to buy from the restaurant next to it "hola betos" which is very expensive and the food isnt really good. Besides at Tortuga village the rooms are exoensive, (they look nice thoughbut you can get better rooms at other places nearby I would suggest that you go to Bahia dorada resort instead nice hotel and food is good, and it is a. Couple of blocks away from Tortuga village .

Excellent place. Bungalows are very confy. The beach was clean and well maintained. You can order food from La Hola restaurant right next to the hotel. Very romantic place.

Great value during low season. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Very intimate setting as there are only a few bungalows situated around the pool. It can be very quiet and relaxing but it can also get noisy if the party is loud next door. Beach access is great. The beach is wide and flat, perfect for families and kids. Bar area is big where you can strike up conversations with visitors and staff. I was very happy with my stay.

Amazing experience. Felt like paradise. The food from the restaurant was delicious minus the piña colada. Very peaceful clean and staff is very nice. I hope to stay at the resort during my next stay in El Salvador.
