Toro Toro National Park - National park in Llallagua, Bolivia
Well worth a visit!
It’s a nice place, no doubt but the way it is operated is terrible! Forcing guides on people but then not being able to tell you the night before which tours might be going or how much you will have to pay is ridiculous! I don’t mind paying park entry fees, but all the rest is just extortion. Not at all for indépendant people who want to go on their own schedule.Very disappointing.
This is the smallest National Park in Bolivia, but probably one of the best places in the planet. Perfect for adventure hiking, great to explore caverns, if you like dinosours then you will be transported 65 million years and almost picture how it was, moreover, if you ever had the chance of visiting the great canyon in Colorado, well this is the great canyon in Bolivia.
You are forced to go everywhere with a completely unnecessary guide. Rather than just forcing tourists to pay for everything, it would be an idea to just improve the services available, like restaurants, accomodation and actually interesting tours. Bolivia is not really a country for travelers interested in adventure and solitude. Id advice going to Argentina or Perú if you want to enjoy nature in peace.
Awesome!! I loved it was a wonderful experience
Beautiful
A destination full of wonder and adventure!
Stayed at Samarikuna hotel, a really awsome experience, nice bran new hotel a block away from the mail square with all kinds of contacts to visit different places, arranged by them, toro toro is a great place
A MUST for every Bolivia-Trip. The caves are spectacular
Very nice
Very beautiful park
The entrance fee for the park is very expensive. You can not do anything without guide (even walking around the village). For every single tour you want to do, you have to pay an adicional fee. I would not recommend it at all, it is not worth it. There are so many other great place in Bolivia really do not waste your time here!
This park have a lot of trails and nice views
Super
The incredible part of Bolivia... Its look like a part of ancient sea, so amazing and wonderful 😍😍
Amazing spot, highly recommend if you want an adventure full of beautiful lookouts and spectacular terrain. The treks are hard work and the cave exploration is not for the claustrophobic or faint hearted but worth every second.
A great news because wasnt in our plane to visit it.
Best visited in a group as tours are a set price so more people less $$ per person
Toro toro is a place, it has many touristic and beautiful places to visit, the caverns are amazing.
Many dinosaur footprints to see. Wonderful environment too and friendly Park rangers
So wonderful
You have to do the cave!!!!
Great place to visit... Lots of fun and adventure
wonderful
The canyon, the caves, ciudad de Itas, and everything inside the national park is amazing, the whole project is owned, run, by the community the profits as well, the quality of the services surfaces the expected try to learn a little spanish, but some of the guides speak English now, amazing experience with my University classroom.
What a surprise! We did not expect this kind of experience. The hikes are great, infrastructure could be better - but overall absolutely yes.
Beautiful national park
Totally worth to go there!! Very adventurous hike through the canyon. Do it!!
an amazing experience.the caves are very challenging. you have to go walk a lot ..like 3 hours the guides are very good and proffesional
A world class National Park and one of the most unique areas in Bolivia. Its dinosaur tracks, canyons and landscapes are incredible. For birdwatchers keep an eye out for the Andean Condor as well as the critically endangered Red Fronted Macaw and if you are really lucky can see the Puma or Andean Cat as well.A must visit when travelling in Bolivia.
very nice
Amazing 😍
Fantastic time
Must see if in Cochabamba! Specially if paleontology is one of your interests
Great Natural Protected Area, has great views. Locals are very kind and helpful.
Amazing National Park
Great
One of my favourite places in Bolivia. 5 hours from Cochabamba, you can reach it by Public transportation or by a travel agency. Once there, you should go to the Sernap office to buy your entrance ticket (40 Bob for bolivians and 100 Bob for foreignersand get a local guide. Two days and a night is probably the best options to see the main attractions: first day Waka sinqa canyon to see incredible dinosaur footprints and end up swimming in a cold natural swimming pool looking at the amazing Vergel waterfalls, second day the Intas city and the Uma Jalanta cave (pretty extreme sport). If you stay one day more you can go for a trekking and see particular "champiñones" stones, weird and small trees and more dinosaur footprints. Really worth it!!
Pricy... 100 bs to get in... but the park is gorgeous especially the canyon!
Outstanding place to visit.
Highly recommended.
Not worth the trouble to get there from the main cities nearby. Its 4.5 hours on a rough dirt road from Cochabamba. Plus you have to wait up to 2 hours for the collectivo to fill up. No wifi, bank, ATM or pharmacy in town. Nature is pretty but nothing spectacular. Caves and canyon are beautiful and worth seeing if you come. Restaurants are limited and all serve the same basic menu. People are very friendly. Guides required for all visitors. 200 BS to enter park plus about 100 BS per half day tour.
The best geological park in Bolivia
Beautiful!
The hidden gem of Bolivia. Beautiful scenery, deep and exciting cave adventures, dinosaurs, friendly locals, fantastic hiking, great food and dinosaur footprints! Loved it!
Beautiful scenery and amazing views of the stars. A bit annoying that you have to go with a guide, especially as our guide wasnt the most helpful, and its difficult to get to. You need at least 2 nights to be able to see anything, because you might end up waiting for a while in the tour office for a group or your guide.
Please everyone visit this supercute town and amazing park. Especially the canyon tour!
Magnificent views. Interesting things to do. Charming village. Great hikes and possibility to do some speleology too. Discover some prehistoric fossiles and dinosaur footsteps on the way.
One of the highlights of my trip to Bolivia
Amazing experience with CITUR tours in Toro Toro. The landscape is amazing!! You can see part of the history of the earth in the mountains that show layers of the earth. The cave is beautiful! Loved the challenge! The trecks through the zone and the canyon are gorgeous and exhausting, but worth it all the way!
