Toriton Asahikawa - Conveyor belt sushi restaurant in Asahikawa, Japan
V popular kaiten sushi store in Asahikawa. The daily recommendations are usually the best pick if you’re there. The tablet ordering system seems fidgety at first, but they are extremely fast to serve once the order goes through. It gets quite crowded and they don’t take reservations, so you may want to consider getting a takeout and bringing it back to your accommodation. (Although you will be missing out on their delicious ara-jiru)Card payment available.
Best sushi in northern Japan.Definitely suggest visit if you chose to Hokkaido.
Awesome!Tasty. Fresh. Low price. Cheerful.
Good service and really fresh sushi, but the price is quite high compared to some shops and im not that rich. So ill still prefer another shop rather than this.
Really good sushi for the price. Especially the salmon
Absolutely the dankest.Come here for sushi if you’re anywhere within 500km.
good sushi and reasonable price
The best best best , waiting for an hour so many people but worth it. Fresh sushi with reasonable price.
Extremely good. Fresh and tasty. Waited for one hour 40 mins, for a table on Saturday near asahikawa.
Delicious forgetting the waiting time. The hall staff was smiling and refreshing.
Sushi is overpriced for a chain restaurant. The rice is too hard and voluminous. A lot staff and chaos, but clean
Reasonable price and sushi is fresh and tasty
Very popular . Price reasonable but be prepared for long wait. We waited for an hour.
An ordinary sushi restaurant with a lot of people. I dont recommend waiting 2 hours for this.
This was place was so damn good. The fish size was massive and the it was so fresh. I could feel the fish melt in my mouth. There was a queue outside way before the restaurant opened. I was glad to get a seat here. My boss got me here specially. I could go here everyday.
Very hard not to over eat! Yummy and resonably priced. Good service. Go early like 5pm to avoid queue!
Great sushi with reasonable prices and most importantly they have menu in english!
Needed to wait. Quite popular. Cash only.
Fresh sashimi thats priced reasonably. expect 30-45mins wait during dinner time and weekends.
Amazing sushi. Every piece was overloaded with fish! It was all excellent quality and very fresh.
It is sometimes difficult for us tourists to tell if a restaurant is good or not. But seeing many local people lining up for this conveyor belt sushi place, we know it is an indicator of a good restaurant serving delicious food at a reasonable price. The sushi is undoubtedly good, but the spotlight is their seafood miso soup. It tastes so sweet and it warms up your whole body in cold winter. We then realised this is a well-known conveyor sushi belt brand from Hokkaido. Impeccable.
Sushi here is surprisingly yummy at very reasonable price. The rice is very well seasoned and soft. I had one sushi I never tried anywhere before. It’s squid’s egg, I guess, and it’s yummy.
great place, the price here is cheaper than others. Luckily not long queue when we were here. Recommended!
average qualitymenu is available in english, chinese, hangu and thai
Sushi chef is very approachable and welcoming. One of our favourite is the steam crab soup😍
Good sushi place. Good prices and Hugh veraiety of plates
long queg here, but worthcheap but nice sushiplenty of parkingthere were many shops around
Fresh food, great service, picture menus!
Wide selection of sushi and foods. Really enjoy eating here
Really tasty sushi with good price compare to quality ..
Waited 40min instead of the 90min expected wait time. Place was packed and clearly popular. Definitely worth the wait though, food is absolutely delicious and servings are generous. Stayed until the very end and left completely satisfied maybe a bit too full. Going to try to come back to this place but maybe not during the dinner rush.
Good sushi @ reasonable price. Free parking
Locals frequent this joint for their sushi and its crowded. A lot of varites and I recommend their broiled blue fin sushi with brown sauce (yummyand crab roe gut. Rest of the sushi are good, big slice of sashimi.Just that I dont like their steamed egg, I find it too sweet for my palette.
Awesome kaiten sushi! Fresh fish, and large cuts. Its a little pricey but its worth it!
Long waiting time during peak hours and taste ok
One of my friends suggested to try Toriton received lots of good Google reviews. I was like sure why not, then I realised how far out it was from town. It seemed so tedious to get there but surprisingly it is less daunting than it looks. For those of you who are interested to give Toriton a try, just head over to the Tourist Information Centre and asked one of the guides who will be more than helpful to assist you on how to get there. It’s literally as easy as taking a bus ride.1. Wait at the designated bus stop number which services bus 70 or 76 (you’d need to ask the guide as the guide told us it used to be stop number 10 but hey moved it to stop number 5 recently)2. Board the bus and enjoy the ride. Then get off at Kyokushin 3 jo 5 chome or something like that (don’t worry the guide will most likely write it down for you, if not you may ask him to write it out for you)3. The bus so happens to stop right in front of the restaurant just across the street. So after getting off of the bus, just cross the street and you’re there. You can’t miss it.After the bus journey, I was starving for some fresh sushi. Unbeknownst to me, Toriton is a conveyor belt sushi restaurant and I only realised to my horror after stepping through the door. I’ve never been a fan on such restaurants and I doubt I ever will be. However, since everyone is there and eager to try Toriton, I decided to have an open mind and go for it.They have an english menu so it’s very tourist friendly and makes ordering a breeze. If you’re feeling lazy then you can just pick right off the conveyor belt. Now whether the sushi is good really depends on the freshness of their ingredients at the point of time when the order is made. The fresher the ingredient, the better quality and taste it’ll have. This is very true cause the 1st plate of uni we had tasted like it was left out for too long but the 2nd plate tasted more refreshing and sweet. Then there was the crab meat with innards which was pretty good but suddenly did a 180 with the the salmon. There’s inconsistency with the quality of their items and it makes me feel like a game of luck.Toriton is one of those passable restaurants which gets a 2.5 from me.
such a gem restaurant for Kaiten sushi! I’m usually not a fan of conveyor belt sushi just because the freshness and quality cannot be compared to regular sushi restaurants, but Toriton is definitely worth the try!The squid sashimi with Yuzu was my favorite, along with a bowl of shio hamachi (yellowtailsoup!I had to try their sea urchin (being that I’m in Hokkaido..but it was slightly disappointing as it was the most expensive on the menu but the quality was so so...it was not “sweet” at all.
Excellent quality sushi with reasonable price. Ask for beeper n u can go to 100yen side to shop while waiting.
Out of a three day trip, we ate here twice! Fresh tasty sushi for a low price. Best value hands down. Had all my favorites, uni, maguro, chutoro, otoro, and different salmon. If you visit around peak dining hours be prepared to wait.
Lovely sushi at reasonable price. A must try if you visit asahikawa. The big botan ebi is a must try, the staff is super friendly and queue is also manageable. Stop by the desert shop beside this sushi shop is perfect after.
Good value of sushi! fresh and good quality but be expected to wait for at least an hour for a table. We were a group of 6 and we waited for 75 mins when we got there at 6pm. The queue of counter is much faster than a table. All the sign and notice were in Japanese but they do have an English menu.
Then english menu is a bit different from japanese one, missing hamachi. Reasonable price with quality of seafood.
Delicious sushi and friendly staff. I went with a vegan friend and we were able to find suitable though limited options. I will go back again.
Their miso soup is tasty. But overall the food is really just so. However the food wouldnt disappoint.
Long line but the sushi melts in your mouth. The pieces are nice and big and so fresh. The price is very reasonable too! Loved it.
Amazing & fresh sushi. They also have several vegetable-based options, and an English menu. This place is popular though, so be prepared to wait over an hour if you go around peak time (totally worth it though).
Absolutely excellent kaitenzushi. A good variety of fish available, multilingual menus, and is heavily frequented by locals. If you go during peak meal times, fully expect waits for seating of 45 minutes to an hour. But is it worth the wait time? Yes, oh yes, it is.
This is recommended in TA and highly rated. It is convenyor belt sushi. It is cheap but not the best we had. The rice does not stick well and crumble easily. Need not specially travel to have it as it is about 15min from Asahikawa City. Nothing to rave about The genkis Han lamb BBQ we had a night before was way better and more worth the money. For 4 pax, we spent ¥6,200. The BBQ lamb was ¥10,200.Staff was helpful and they have a simple English menu. Free parking.
Delicious and cheap sushi but need to wait for seats
Wonderful mouthwatering freshly prepared sushi at a reasonable price. Extremely clean environment. English menu available with readily available friendly staff for any assistance.
