Went there with my family in a non-busy weekday. Excellent service, great location and good ambiance.Although I very much enjoyed my whitefish dish, its really tough to chew the price (32 euros for the main course). With that amount you can get pretty exciting food elsewhere. For once, the portion size was just perfect, even though the setting is a neighborhood restaurant where youd usually expect generous portions. The menu has pretty much everything for everyone except vegetarians only have two options and vegan can be quite tough.

Foods good, service was nice and personal even in busy hours, good location.Not the best fine dining in Oulu, but great for larger grouos and/or meetings. Cabinets are well equipped

Very nice dinner. As starters "Garlic escargots with Aura blue cheese", main course "Tenderloin steak", dessert "Créme Brûlée".

Nice variety of meals with fish, unfortunately only burgers for vegetarians. All and all nice place with a good food in a touristic heart of Oulu.

Apart that you can eat here, its also a nice place to jump for drink :)

Food is quite ok. The prices are also average for Finland. Of course it cant compete with southern countries kitchen but not a bad place to eat occasionally

Oulus central square. There is the traditional Toripoliisi, the Kauppahalli, and many activities during the whole year. Additionally, in summer there is the local market, usually with local products. It is also a meeting point for the people of the Oulu by night, both young and adults.

Tourist trap! Nice terrace but food is mediocre and really expensive. Avoid the 19e burger as its made from frozen burger patties. There are many better places to go to.

This is the must-see place in Oulu; The statue of market square police officer, Toripolliisi. This the place for Oulu selfies and you can enjoy the offerings of surrounding lively Oulu market square. Currently (summer 2020the old market hall is being renovated and the working area is bothering the view of Toripolliisi quite a bit.

Was build in 1987, statue has more length than most of even tall people: 220 cents. The bronze sculpture is 150 centimeters wide and 112 centimeters deep. The name of the statue comes from the police patrolling the Oulu marketplace between 1934 and 1979. They supervised the discipline and order of the market square.

In summer, it is the best place in Oulu to hangout. You can find the summer market here and many other markets on festivals such as beer festival, international food festival etc.

Nice place to visit and walk. It is in the immediate vicinity of city centre and there is parks , theatre, library and mind-blowing view of river just right next to this place.

This sympathetic police statue is a one of the symbols for Oulu city. Its in a great place: middle of the small market place right next to seaside. Visit in the summer only! In the winter you can focus in skiing, snowmobiles, ice fishing etc.

Probably one of the best steaks in Oulu. No, dont order anything other than tenderloin steak. Expensive, but definatively worth it. This one with goat cheese and new potatoes.

Good food and beer.

Nice square, it was suppose to be the market open but at the time that we arrived all the store were close. The restaurant that we ate was delicious, close to the pub in the middle of the square.

This is a nice place to visita in Oulu. The People is this área is very friendly. The fish food is really good and the Ice cream as well.

Food we tried today was great, but service level is minus points. Would not go again because of waiters are not professional. They do not know how to serve at all. Young stupid boys.

One of the best restaurants in Oulu. Price is high, but quality of food is according the price. I suggest to try reindeer meat. Smashed is good and alsO slowly cooked. Big portion, very soft delicious meat!

Toripoliisin burger was tasty and the Jack Daniels cheese gave it a nice edge. Stuff was friendly and service was fast. We got our drinks in a few minutes and burgers aprox 5min from order, even tho the place was full 😊 I would say a good value for your money.

Delicious food and friendly environment!Was warmly welcomed when I arrived early before my friends. Chatted casually with the bartender. My dinner (reindeerwas tender and accompanying drink selection was perfect!Highly recommend it you are looking for a cozy get together with friends!
