Top Spot Foodcourt - No.6 & 33 Ling Loong Seafood - Seafood restaurant in Kuching, Malaysia
Avoid over crowded and low staff stalls..Famous Store 25 we ordinarily and costly...
Enjoyed a delicious meal of fresh seafood, expertly cooked and well presented. The chilli crab was very tasty (we usually prefer salted egg crab but fancied a change), and the midin vegetable delicious. We also tried the grilled river prawns. They were huge, meaty and flavoursome. Razor clams in soy and ginger were also tasty. Definitely a great place for seafood at very reasonable prices, with very friendly and helpful staff. Would rate as 4.5 overall.
Like the clam soup, love the prawn, fresh and delicious..all dishes cooked well
Standard seafood dishes... Typical seafood that you would find in any other shops. The only thing is that its bit pricy compare to other shops
It is a bit chaotic here if you are first timer. The food are made to order and can take some times to be prepared especially the seafood. Everything is good but my favorite is the Crispy Oyster Pancake!!!
For a table of six they only gave one menu 😅 Then the waitress kept sending the wrong food to our table. When we asked if the tofu was cooked correctly, the waitress insisted that we ordered Japanese tofu (conveniently disregarding the fact that tofu can be cooked many waysand told us to walk to the counter and argue with the boss (we sit very far away from the store). We asked for the boss to come but they cant be bothered so we simply cancelled it in the end.As for the food, the butter prawn was only sweet and had no butter taste whereas the curry bamboo shell clam was basically just curry powder sauce...On top of that, the patrons beside our table were either smoking cigarette or vaping even though there are no smoking signs everywhere. No one bothered to tell anyone to stop smoking
Lovely place to have seafood.Nice environment at rooftop and clean air. Foods are perfect especiallySeafood and belacan birin vegetable.Off course everyone worry the most is pricing and mostly all the stall over there are price reasonable. Out off all the stalls this is still my best choice. Worry no and enjoy foods.
TopSpot with fresh seafood..
Value for money 💰 love the fried oyster..looks like a bowl 🥣 and its crispy.. n the seafood there are fresh
Many choices of seafood and can request them to cook how you wanted it
Nice seafood here.. price ok la.. and the food was nice.. steaming lemon fish was the best
Fantastic food.
Very crowded when we arrived.Crew were busy attending to customers. Some beverages, like green tea were not available. Likewise some of the food items were not readily replenished.
Many variety of seafood to be choose here. A place most drop by if u come here
Nice place to hang out with workmates. Price is affordable. All good. Fast service.
pricey but worth the taste and the lively environment. having midin belacan for rm15, butter prawn rm45, razor clam, oyster pancake rm25, sea cucumber altogether rm136. not to my likable as the other stall could offer.
Dinner to cap off a brilliant day: Midin Belacan, Crispy Oyster Omelette, Sotong Goreng Tepung, Jellyfish Umai & Seabass Steamed with Salted Veg. Oh my lord....delicious, irresistible and leaves you with memories that keep you warm all the way back to KL.
Popular spot for locals and foreigners. great selection of seafood and drinks. great place to bring everyone together, convenient parking under the roof of UTC building.
Top spot remains an all time favourite for us. Fantastic seafood, more choices than you can wave a stick at. Try the Kerang.
My visitors had a great seafood dinner. One KLian loves midin belacan. The fish and crabs were also fresh.
Ordered the oyster omelette, salted egg butter prawns, chilli crabs and midin vegetables w/sambal belacan. Food arrived hot within 10mins, even during a full house on Saturday evening. All cooked fresh. A choice good choice for seafood lovers
Tasty food and quick service. A bit more pricey than others but its just by the entrance
This place is a guide green on a roof top. Access is very unassuming and what a surprise when you get up there.I tried the Pansuh,a dish where chicken is cooked in a bamboo and garnished with herbs like polygonum and torch ginger flower.Taste is lightly sour with salty flavours coming through. The soup from the chicken is superb on hot streaming rice. The sea shrimp deep fried and garlicky was fresh and superb. Steamed bass was light gingery with soya sauce. Some stir fried mix vegetables to balance out the meal.Beef satay with peanut sauce was tender.A mix of coconut And sugarcane drink to wash it all down..Cant ask for anything better. Lots of seafood to pick from.#hawker #seafood #traditionalfood #chicken #herb #spices #pansuh #satayBy@crazykookycook
Best place to eat, really enjoyed the food there, if youre planning to go there please book the place in advance
The food here are reasonably good. The seafood are fresh and cook well. BUT do not come during peak dinner time as the place is crowded and you may have to fight (literally fightfor a dining table. There will also be along queue to order your food. Price is reasonable.
went here for dinner. ordered sweet & sour grouper, buttered prawn, stir fried mix vege, oyster omelette and sea cucumber soup. 15mins after ordering, a couple ordered their food. surprisingly their food came earlier than ours, our food came around 45mins after ordering. i was quite upset with the wait, then the prawn that was served was not the one that we have picked. few prawns tasted foul, maybe changed during cooking? i will still came back to topspot, but to another stall.
delicious and cooked just right seafoodenu
Topspot restaurant for fresh seafood. Try the oyster pancake, king prawns and local specialty midin. Good value and very popular with the locals.
Cheap seafood you can get in sarawak..salted egg prawn is a must try here..
Great, fresh n inexpensive seafood. Would return for a visit
Came for company dinnerSeafood was fresh. Salted egg fried squid is the best. Umai obor and umai udang also taste authentic. Ambal is little bit salty.
This came out one of the top food in Kuching, but really not worth the hype. Hygiene is poor because they put our pre-cook items on the floor (imagine the dirty wet kitchen floor). We ordered kangkung belacan and it was really good! I am afraid that was the only thing we liked. The rest of the dishes were pretty mediocre. The butter prawn that we ordered was not the typical egg floss prawn, but milk powder and cereal coated prawn. Taste a bit too sweet for our liking. The chap chye and sea cucumber soup that we ordered had way too much msg, they tasted so much like knorr liquid chicken stock. no sea cucumber taste at all. The jenahak sweet sour tasted too sweet for our liking too. Overall, not recommended if you like savoury seafood.
Food is not great but acceptable. Crowded and non hygienic. Safety another concern as there isnt proper emergency escape route should there be one. Lift up is always packed.
Salt prawnSteam Sia lap fishMidin vegetable
Couldnt be any fresher, full of flavour, very fast service, even with Ramadan
Price : OK i.e 2 siakap big size RM94Location : Accessible. There are 3/4 level of parkingAmbience : Nice. Roof top of UTC building.Others : Those from Semenanjung Malaysia, u might b suprise as there are a lot of chinese warung n Muslim eating. Local said it is halal.. So make ur own choise. In Sarawak, its normal to see Muslim eating in this kind of Chinese restaurant
Easy-access huge open-air space with mostly halal restaurants offering variety of seafood. Nice eating place on a breezy night. Not the cheapest place to have the freshest seafood but good enough for small meals.
Try their signature dish Tofu with Oyster sauce & salted egg squid with butter. Best place to dine with family and friends.
Fresh seafood and very juicy and tender mydin vegetables. Got chicken satay from other stalls - satay was dry and quite bland. Interesting “ho jen” ala Kuching style, I think this will be an excellent beer food; crispy crust and oyster.
A must visit when you are in Kuching! This place serves fresh seafood and local delights at very reasonable prices. If you are going for the first time, if requires some skills to locate the place. The food court is the top of a multi storey carpark and you need to follow the crowd to take a lift up.
Nice food. Reasonable price. Highly recommended. The only minus point would be: it is not Air conditioned.
Price is ok. However taste not reach my expectation. Overall so so. Is a good place to try.
If youre looking for seafood, this will be the place to go. As for choice it is extremely limited. Premier 101 food court is the captain of choice
There are two Ling Loong seafood stall at Top Spot, stall 6 and 33. I would recommend stall 6 as it has wider selection. The chili crab is a must try item if you are a crab lover. Bidin (fernprepared in sour sauce is fabulous. We ordered 2 crabs, 4 big Nestum prawn, stir fried sambal potato leaf and Bidin salad. Total cost RM126.15.Service was good, price is reasonable and you can see this stall is one of the top rated stall in Trip Advisor as well.
Great place to grab some seafood in a relaxing outdoor seating. Food is decent with wide variety of seafood to choose from. Plenty of stalls that offers local food such as satay, BBQ, etc. Food is super fast. Come early to avoid traffic as it can get quite busy
This is the place to go for seafood! Even the locals favour here.A number of stalls for you to choose from. Great variety to choose from and pricing is reasonable.Recommend to go early like 6pm for dinner as it tend to get crowded. As we walked out, chanced upon a dairy free ice cream stall. Had passion fruit, strawberry, mango & durian ice cream. They were yummy!
The locals recommended us over.I love the unity side of Malaysia in this place and that’s pretty much the best thing about this place is. I see Malays using chopsticks and I lived in KL for more than 5 years I’ve never been more astonished. I can see multiracial faces in one table and I’m really happy to see such scene aside from ads and schools. The seafood wasn’t the best. I would recommend ordering the famous egg dish satay and traditional Sarawak food if you come in a small group. There’s a bit of waiting for the seafood
Best food court in the area. Sea food is great to try .
Amazing selection of restaurants and food. Open air dinning no air-con but fans placed on the wall to keep you cool. Food reasonably priced and very tasty.
Wide spread of ingredients/seafood to choose. Cheap and delicious! 👍
