Tooro Botanical Gardens in Kyenjojo

I found TBG a very organic place where nature welcomes you with sweet bird sounds from their indigenous trees forest that sorounds. Touring around this place is a great adventure as you will feel enticed to replicate the natural feeling to your home.Tooro Botanical Gardens is the safest place you can visit.

A beautiful place to visit for nature lovers

The place is as Botanical as the name suggests, nice variety of flowers and tree species. Spacious and good for events and parties. Bad side is frequent power blackout and water outrage

I have been at Tooro botanical gardens several times but never seem to have enough of it. Very good at Birding, nature walk, hiking and learnt lots about plants and birds....

Was there for Bird population monitoring and really enjoyed

Toro Botanical Gardens is unique in many ways. Lets support it!Toro Botanical Gardens is a centre for learning about indigenous plants. Here you can buy a wide range of plants including cycads and get expert advice.Its also a nice spot for bird watching.There are two entrances to the gardens. The one on the road to Kampala is where you can access the seedling nursery and pond. You can of course walk from one part of the gardens to another. If you are driving to the conference rooms and admin offices, you will want to drive via Boma entrance.We recently organised a training day and were very happy with this venue. The gardens are quiet, there is plenty of parking and we had good support and professional attention from Godfrey, the director.The only point that needs improving are toilets. Very basic indeed.

Its a nice place

This is my last day at the Botanical Gardens in Fort Portal. It is a cool place with lots of greenery and all the creepy crawlies that come with it. And thats a good thing. The place is cool, calm and relaxing. Great for picnics, meetings and family get togethers. A place to get away for a few hours while still in the city. The food was definitely not average and worth every shilling.

Here are many wild plants that occur in Uganda cultivated. More interestingly, there is the dinoursal plant, the Cycad. There are more others including seven aloe vera species, plunas Africans amongst others. Generally, the place is so beautiful, visit it for more experience.

Great guide, great value for money. Saw and tasted/smelt many plants and saw many different bird species up close.

For those that love nature pliz get there
