Töölönranta in Helsinki

The restaurant clearly aims to offer a fine dining experience but falls a bit short of that goal.I had a three-course dinner; pumpkin soup, mutton roast and crème brûlée with marinated blueberries. All courses were made with quality ingredients and the presentation was good but the overall taste was a bit flat and the portions were small. Longish waiting time for the starters left a vague sense of letdown.Not great, not terrible. With some fine tuning, this place could be great!

Interesting concept where you buy a 1/3 of pike-perch with artichoke with 24€ and if you want potatoes you pay 5€ extra.. not to mention 4€ for DISTILLED 🤣 tap water per person..Taste of the food was good and a lovely terrace but I got a feeling that earning profits was the most important value for Töölönranta restaurant.

Top marks for friendliness of the staff. Zero for the food, drinks and speed of service.Served the wrong wine, 45 mins wait between apetizers and mains. Steak was served cold, sent back because it was cold. And then it was served back cold. :| ended up cancelling the order. Bizarre but friendly.

What a wonderful surprise that Töölönranta is a vegan/vegetarian restaurant! Their modern take on The Christmas Dinner was amazing! Spread the vegan good news!

Really expensive place with the basic Finnish food.Even the water cost 4€ per bottle that you could get anywhere for free.Not worth of it.

Worst esperience. Can i give less than one star?As soon as arrived the staff made us wait one hour after this period I do time waiting they offered us a table near the coats.Not professional and the staff very rude! Don’t book for 20:30 also because the buffet is all gone!I don’t recommend this place at all!

They advertise being open till 22 but 20:40 they said kitchen closed

To be avoided. Except if youre craving for some cafeteria food, and youre ready to put a lot of money for it. Also if youre happy with paying 3 euros a bottle of soda stream sparkling water that you didnt order, and that you want to still be hungry when you get out. The one star goes to the service that was fine, but this is not a sufficient reason to come back, unfortunately...

Service is not good. Food is very average, especially the vegetarian options. Portions are small. And additional charges for water and bread.

Had Christmas dinner with my family. Little pricey but otherwise very good! Good variety of dishes. Drinks, even coffee, are not included in the price.

Food is pretty ok (the steak is not so nicebut too little per portion so it turned out quite expensive. Not very friendly staff. We were there with kids but they didnt give anything (such as pencil and paper for drawingfor them to play while waiting for food.

Nice view and nice food. Just that one of the lady waitress was not so friendly but others is OK.

Very good food, great environment. However, this time there were a few service instances that reduced my review. Honestly, I could give 4 stars for the restaurant but todays experience was unlucky.

Tasty food. Refreshing Christmas menu.

Lovely meal 🍴was with a large group of people. , pleasant service, all of the group got their starter, main course and dessert at the same time. We had informed ahead about shellfish and nut allergies, the waitress gave competent and helpful advice on the menu. All in all a lovely evening with great food

Only rating cappuccinos and desserts on a Monday afternoon.The cappuccinos and fromage was very nice. The lemon and licorice creme brulee was one of the best Ive had! Staff was very friendly and the spot was perfect for a pause from long tourist walks. A bit pricey but worth it.

Good views and good food. Staff speaks English and sometimes Swedish as well.

We had our wedding dinner at Töölönranta. It was a pretty evening with a great service and good food. We can recommend this restaurant.

We ate Cezar salad there. Food was tasting awfull and expensive. We were there after lunch time, only two waiters were working and everything was so slow. Not gonna go back and not recomend the place.

The blini buffet is a classic event, make sure to be there every winter. Wonderful view of the Töölönlahti bay from the big windows, along with a comfy atmosphere. Liked the wine recommendations.

Christmas buffet was a modern version rather than traditional. Good food with some nice surprises.The buffet is on till Christmas

Very modern culinary place with interlocking gardens, terraces and patio. Food above the average, though not the best in the town. Staff are very helpful and friendly, they are very attentive and professional. The quality of the salad bar seems to be down graded compared with my last visit. Still it is on my Strong-Recommend list.

A bit pricey, but for the money paid, you can enjoy sitting on a coach in front of the fire. Priceless when it is cold... Very friendly barmaid who wanted to spice up my tea :).

Location is superb, service brilliant and food really good - although quite expensive for rather small dishes. Recommended!!

They easily accepted a group reservation for 14 ppl with only a days heads-up and the food & service was great!

They have a really good brunch on Sundays which always packs the house. The food quality here is amazing and the staff are so, so friendly.

Decent though heavily over-priced brunch which DOES NOT INCLUDE COFFEE. And they call it a brunch...
