Ton Nga Chang Wildlife Sanctuary - National park in Songkhla, Thailand
Wonderful waterfall, fishes and monkey! Great for seniors who cant walk too far as they can relax at level 1 with great view.
Very relaxing and unique waterfall.
Great outdoor experience! Streams and fishes and monkeys and, of course, waterfalls. Went on a Saturday in the morning, drove from Hat Yai. Less crowded when we got there around 10 am.
Nice place to bring the children for picnic, beware of monkeys though.
Awesome place to relax. Beautiful waterfalls.
Foreigner fee was 200 vs local which was 30, however the signs or information did not have an English translation.Hike directions/trails to waterfalls were fine up till level 5, after which the trail was too hard to notice or not maintained. Hope that the cadres would start clearing the trail to give people a shot to level 7.Be properly dressed for this, and pack water. Beyond level 2 check yourself for leeches every 5 mins.If you are looking only for a waterfall to dip in, there should be more further down the road which would not require an entrance fee.
Nice habitat, easy to access
Really nice place to just sit and let go of all your stress... this place is about relaxation you just need a blanket and some foods and boom !!! just eat and chat while watching the beatiful view of waterfall and all the fish in it.Such a wonderful experience.
Way too crowded with tourists and lots of Long-tailed Macaques constantly stealing food items from them. Overall good facilities and very accessible. But there should be more nature trails available with useful information signs.
A good getaway from the city; super refreshing experience of being surrounded by nature. We enjoyed the view and the occasional sightings of birds.Prices start at 550THB for an hour per boat. Recommend to go for an hour only as boat do not have backrest thus not exactly the most comfortable; motor also gets a little loud/annoying after awhile.Timing wise, anytime from 530-630 will be ideal. Sun gets hot from 845am onwards, sunblock, cap & sunglasses will come in handy.
Very nice-chill-fun place for adults and kids. Only first level you can stay for the whole day. Playing with fishes in the cold and very clear water.
The waterfall is already very nice and very beautiful. Plus on each different levels and its like you are there already to just relax your body and your mind.
By far, this is the best waterfall I have ever seen in my own country.A total of 7 floors. However, you are only able to reach until 4th floor as the trail afterwards is unclear due to no signs available. I asked the ranger if the rest of the route was closed to climb. They said that the route till the 7th floor might take whole day but no comment on if it was closed or open to hike.
Foreigners working in Thailand had better to bring passports and work permits, or their copies, to get reduced entry prices. And sports shoes you must use, if you will climb the hill, or a cliff.
Around 30 km far from HatYai. In the middle of the mountains, surrounded by wild nature. The terrain has 7 levels. The first 2 are easy to reach, but from the 3 it is better to prepare for the real climb (clothes, shoes). Eating beyond the 1st level is prohibited. Nevertheless at furst lecel there ate small street Thai restaurants and stands with food and drinks. You can also buy food for fish, which you can find a lot in the waterfall and in the river. Besides the fishes there can be found also monkeys, different insects or homeless dogs.
Amazing waterfall. Really impressive, i think one of the best i have ever been in Thailand.Couldnt reach the 5-6-7 floors, the trail was not clear and in bad conditions. But from 3-4 you have a great view over the area.2Price Thailand obviously - its 10 times actually, 200 b fee for foreigners and for Thais 20.. worth it
Thailand tourism has treated Double standard between locals and foreigners. Price is rediculous for foreigner Baht250 and local is only 30Baht. Suggestion, for foreigner entry ticket Bath 80 to 100 is reasonable.
Best place when u need some peace. But please dont go during weekends or u will get no space to swim.. 😅😅
The pic is the 3rd or maybe 4th stage waterfall. A fairly easy hike.
Well preserved and organise park.
Entry fee is 200 baht for foreigners. There are many levels to reach the top. Level 1 is easy as there is man made pathway and there are signs. Can pay 10 baht to get fish food to feed the many fishes.Once you cross the bridge towards the guest houses, you will see a path that leads up to a guard house where you need to sign in and take selfie with the security guard. This is to identify you in case of emergency. Water bottles are not allowed. There are storage at the guard house.Follow the path up to level 2. There are some man made paths then followed by natural stones and gravel path. Level 2 is quite amazing already. The photo was taken at level 2. You need to carefully walk along the stones to reach the bottom of the waterfall.Didnt manage to find the sign to go to level 3. (Is it across the bridge?)Worth the effort and time to hike. Normal shoes are ok up to level 2. Highly need mosquito spray. The locals can speak English. Got food stalls but was not opened when I reached on Friday morning.
Wonderful waterfall that so natural Resources
The places was good! But for the foreigner ticket obviously quiet expensive for the entrance fee. Which 200b for 1 persons. For me its enough if max is 150b. Please take note. This is natures, people came for enjoying nature. Not to doubt the ticket prices.
Big and beautiful waterfall not far from Hat Yai ! The best view of this waterfall is at level 2.
The place that u can feed the fish and bath.. Clean and quite place.. No animals here. Only fish. The entrance is expensive.
Good atmosphere,suitable for holiday.
Only 30mins from city. Got so many fish at the waterfall area. Nice view and great place to spendtime with your fam. Easy to find foods because many stall up there. 200thai bath to pay for the entrance fees. Overall, great.
Steep hikes. Amazing views. Helpful locals. Just overpriced entrance ticket for foreigners.
English Camp outing very lovely place
Its worth taking a trip to nature. The visitors are mainly locals picnicking and taking a dip in the cool and clean water. The sight of the waterfall is awesome!
One of the most beautiful waterfalls in South Thailand. Entrance fee THB200
Went to this local waterfall via grab rent (4 hrs within hat Yai District thb 900 without promofrom downtown area. This is the cheapest option(in my opinion as you cannot get grab back from the waterfall area- grab do not serve that areaTook us around 45 mins to reach. No sign of which level we had climbed up to. But somehow managed to figure out that the easy one was level 3 and thereafter the steep path was from level 3-4. We had 2 primary sch children so gave up halfway from level 3-4. Must bring insect repellent n we wore shorts so that we can dip our feet into the pool. Do not recommend Swimming as the water wasn’t exactly clean- can see algae on rocks n there’s fishes. The toilet was in rather poor condition to do any proper wash up. We passby the security without paying any foreigner fee (weird).. maybe we look like locals. Overall a nice place to go if you pop by hat Yai. We did it on our last day before heading to airport.
Nice natural place to spend time with family and friends, theres a nice waterfall which has various levels, if you reached at the top, then you can enjoy the most beautiful view, the place is well maintained and secured, no animals are there but there are a lot of fish in the way of the stream which is the most amazing thing, loved to spend time there
Very beautiful waterfall
The first level of the water fall can be accessed easily with an easily walkable path, level 2 and up require you to sign in and sign out(for safety radon’s). Access to level 2 is relatively easy and doesn’t require much(rocks can be slippery so be carefulthe second level is the largest one however the most famous one is level 4(which can be seen from level 3). The way to level 3(and upis much more difficult and I do really recommend proper shoes and hiking trousers. The way up to the third level involves steep gradient, slippery rocks and you will need to climb in mini-cliffs.
A very nice and place with almost no man made things (up to level 4 for me).I was shocked initially cause most of the place i trek up has proper route provided (man made staircasebut there isnt any here. Which is the part that made it love it more. Gotten myself dirty climbing up but its so satisfying.Went on a Sunday morning and there was NO one at the place!! In fact, when we sign out, we saw that there were only 3 visitors on saturday. As many mentioned, 200 baht for foreginer, 20 baht for local and 30 baht for vehicle.Recommend you to wear a rock gripping shoe otherwise may slip easily. I gave up on my running shoe halfway and climbed up barefooted. Had some scratches but its fine. Because of some branches cause they were sharp and i got 2 splinters after that. Its a MUST GO!!
A great challenging adventure for those who seek some interesting climbs. We didnt manage to finish the 7 levels due to time restrictions, but would definitely try some day.
Tough to see level 3, cable car will boost this to the zenith.
A very nice place by the waterfall for picnic with family. The water is crystal clear and one can actually see the fish. Lots of fish here, grab the fish food available at a stall nearby to feed the fish, then you’ll see thousands of them. The place is really well preserved and clean. The only setback is the price to enter, which is quite high for foreigner, 200 thb per person.
Quite expensive I would say for national park. Foreigner adult pay 200 bhat. Children 100 bhat. BUT the view is breathtaking, the waterfall is fantastic. I love it!
Great place to relax. Lots of waterfalls
Crazily SPECTACULAR! It is a 7 level waterfall and i could only climb up to level 3. The hike from level 2 to level 3 was already treacherous enough for me to call it a quit as i wasnt wearing a proper footwear. Do wear a good hiking shoes if you are up for an adventure and climb all the way to level 7 (i am not 100% sure whether we are allowed to do that though)! And following up someones review, yes, do purchase a THB10 fish food at the Visitor Centre to have a great fish feeding experience. The fish were plenty btw!Do give yourself 2-3 hours to let the experience sink in!
Such a beautiful waterfall. Be sure to buy some fish food pellets at 10baht a pack to feed the fish on ground zero before going up the 7 levels waterfall...... spectacular fall!
The great and simple place for resting in short weekend.
Beautiful. But the ticket price difference between Thai and foreign is a bit ridiculous. 20thb for Thai and 200thn for a foreigner
WowWhat can I say other than that is a wonderful place to be. Great vibe all Thai, love it love it. So worth a visit. Amazing fish, monkeys, wild boar and bring a pair of binoculars if you are not a bird watcher.
A trip here is surely a feast for the senses where you will be mesmerized by the alluring waterfalls! Majestic in size, the stones are tall as the water gushes down mercilessly from above. It runs into a stream below where fishes flourish in overwhelming quantity. A picturesque mother nature creation, youll find yourself busy with photo taking in the most Instagram fitting scenery. Theres a 200 baht entrance fee for foreigner and you need a car to get to this park.
Very amazingly beautiful huge waterfalls. It was raining season when we went there. Therefore, we didnt see any tourists. Foreigners wil be charged 200baht per entry, but only 20baht for locals. Anyhow, its very worth to visit
Lovely scenery. But irresponsible visitors leave too much litter around. Also not enough litter bins for visitors to throw their rubbish.
Nice place. Beautiful waterfall. Not to crowded. 200 thb for foreigner, 20 thb for thai and 30 for a car
