Tommy's Neighbourhood Pub in Banff

A local souvenir shop recommend I try local food so I visited Tommys rustic Pub..I was greeted by Cregan and I asked if there was table service which I was pleased there was..Looked at their large ish menu ..I ordered a delicious and large plated canadian burger with onion rings, The plate was bigger enough for two, The burger was lovely smoked with all the trimmings of camerlised onions, gherkin.. I drank 2 iced ginger beer and a glass of iced water to refresh myself..The service was quick, welcoming and they was a good atmosphere in the pub., I was well and truely stuffed(fullafter this meal/drink.I thought about playing darts too but I needed to head home as I was visiting Banff again in the early morning 🌄

We ate outside on the street side patio on a beautiful warm day. The inside was quaint and not very busy at that time. Our server was friendly helpful and courteous. We had the steak sandwich which both cooked very well and tasted delicious as well as the chicken quesadilla which also was yummy. The menu had quite a great selection and the prices were affordable and we will definitely come again.

The customer service was questionable at best. There were chicken bones in my Quesadilla.. I mentioned my concern and said I believed I may have also swallowed one of the bones to the server and he laughed while saying “I have full faith in your body’s ability to digest the bone”.. no concern whatsoever.Also, the menu has the option for full or half portions. My friend and I both ordered half portions only to both be billed full price. I questioned this and was told there is no price difference for ordering a half serving… so they essentially made one Quesadilla, cut it in half for each of us and billed us for 2. This was very dissatisfying as I’m staying in a hotel and would have gladly taken leftovers if I knew I was paying the same price regardless.

Tommys is awesome! He is the nicest guy in town. Dont tell him its your birthday unless you like the Ouzo!!! :)

Ok. The food was not the best. Beef and chicken in the platter was very dry but others were acceptable. However, that’s not the point. The service was the worst during the trip in Banff. I thought the waiter was nice and ready to welcome visitors to Banff. But all he wanted was tips… i guess. I was about to tip him with cash after the cash payment but he did not have any patients to wait for his customer to finish counting their money. Especially for foreigners who are having difficulty counting Canadian money. So, while I was counting the money to pay for the bill, he said to stop and don’t worry about it because apparently “he wasn’t getting any money anyways” as he took the money away from me. I am highly sure that he was talking about “tips”. Meanwhile, if he had better patients he would have got “money”. If the long blond haired waiter had the respect towards his costumer no matter if it was the Banff residents or the tourist, we, the foreigners, would have had left Canada with a great memory.

The food was good but they service was horrible. I was completely ignored, not offered a refill on my water (for over 30 min). The waiter knew I wasn’t ordering alcohol so I guess I wasn’t worth their attention

food is perfect !!! its just the guy who serve me is really rude!!! he wants tip! he can ask it nicely.... although i just buy a burger and coke for take out, he didnt give my coke! instead he throw it infront of me!!!! its really rude!!!

I had open faced steak, was on special. Good cut, well cooked. Fries are to die for. Wife ordered nachos which turned out the huge and delicious. More than anyone could eat. Not sure why other places are 30 minute waits. there is an option to eat here with no wait, good prices and good food. I hope to get the word out.

Good price-quality for the area. Typical food you can expect: sandwiches, burgers, nachos... has a nice patio for summer and cozy inside.

Nachos were incredible. Best Ive ever had at a restaurant. Literally cheese and toppings on top middle and bottom layer.Only knock is no free refills on fountain soda. Its cheap, add some more value for your customers is my only complaint.Will be back next time Im in banff.

Hello my gorgeous little dive Banff dive bar!! A must visit IMO... Happy hour, friendly staff, great food and crazy inexpensive yet delicious drinks... Took my family of 7 and it was <200 for a great night. We ate, drank, played darts, played video games and shatted with everyone.... If I lived here this would be my spot..... Brady, your were excellent!

Tasty decent and affordable bar food. The wings and onion rings were my favorite. Staff is nice and accommodating.

We had dinner tonight @ Tommys Neighbourhood Pub and were extremely happy with the service. Our server was hilarious and we had an great time! His funny conversations with my boyfriend, made our night! We somehow neglected to get his name but he was wearing a black and white button up graphic shirt and had an accent (we couldnt quite place it). The food was delicious and the portions were pretty big. We had the Tommys Spuds as an appetizer and would highly recommend them!

Just happened to stop in and had one of the best burgers and incredible lentil mushroom soup! Good service.

Service was OK but the bouncer was beyond rude. I just tried to open a window when it was very warm next to our table and he came over and was very rude about us opening a window in the middle of summer. when we left made a comment how old we were. For the record we are in our late 20s. Absolutely disrespectful. Really sad to see how bad customer service is getting

Good beer, horrible food.The chicken wings tasted like they were at least a day past expiry, and the chicken sandwich consisted of two pieces of bread and three day old unseasoned chicken, entirely covered with lard "gravy". Im truly amazed this place is as highly rated as it is.

This pub has a really nice retro dinner dive-bar vibe. The staff was friendly and the menu is reasonably priced with good portions on food.Unfortunately, during our visit, out of their tap beers selection only 3 were available. Fish n chips was okay but both the chips and the fish felt like frozen products. Hot chicken sandwich was also not bad, but the gravy tasted like it came from a packet.Overall its a nice place to get some drinks with bar quality food at a decent price.

Lateish on a dead Sunday evening towards the end of June probably not going to get the best impression. A few locals but most of the atmosphere was provided by staff on and off duty chatting amongst themselves. Good value booze for Banff.

Was a great place 30 years ago and is still a great place today ! Tommy loves socializing with his patrons and cares about making their experience a memorable one 😊💖

I agree that the food was awesome and atmosphere great. But the service at the start was not good. I had to ask four times to get our table wiped. Then our server delivered drinks but 30 min later, had never come back to take our order. Another server stepped in and everything was fine after that. The food was great! Aussie guy: you need to clean a table if it hasnt been done when people sit. And you need to come back and take a food order within 30 min.

Very good food, good beer at reasonable prices. The atmosphere is great.The waiter Reagan is most than good, and does his job with joy, which is very hard to see now a days.During the evening you can enjoy a beer in their small terrace.Top place! really recommended !

Had a fantastic experience here! We were greeted right away. We had a great server, didn’t catch his name but he had a great beard! He was funny, made great recommendations and was very attentive.Food was great, it came quickly and was very fair priced, especially for Banff!I will definitely be returning and recommending this place to friends!

If you are looking for a place with really good atmosphere, great prices and amazing staff, then look no further. Natalie did an amazing job helping us and making excellent recommendations! Cool vibe for beer. Do not order the veggie burger. Spicy Chicken Sandwich was simply pulled chicken and gravy. Very little flavour. Said local favorite but would never order again... Not bad onion rings.

Great service and great food! We ate here twice while we stayed in Banff. We loved their fish and chips and steak sandwich! For the chips, they had an option to get fries and onion rings. We chose onion rings and they were SO GOOD! Their $ is very very reasonable for the quality of food.

The prices are the cheapest you will find in downtown. Great food. Big meals. Fair prices . Staff very friendly. Highly recommending this place.

Out to Banff for a weekend anniversary and had the absolute pleasure of visiting Tommy’s Neighbourhood Pub for some beverages and appetizers on the street patio. Had the best server Hannah and great great food we ordered the ribs twice! Such a perfect afternoon break to a busy day!

After having a bad experience at a brewery down the street, we decided to try Tommys with our family (4 adults, 2 kids). Fantastic service (Lee was our server), good food with generous portions, and great kids meals. Lower patio was perfect for our kids. Could have had a better drinks menu and is a bit dark inside but reasonable cost makes this a very solid choice!

This pub has a good variety of choices to eat ! We got the nachos and Canadian burger. The serving sizes are big and definitely get your money’s worth. I wish they had a poutine on the menu, that was the only thing we felt was missing. The locale itself is small and has good vibes ! The prices are very fair and are probably on the more affordable side compared to other restaurants in the area. I definitely recommend this pub !

The bartender was so accomodating, I ordered something and it was not to my liking so she quickly replaced it. I will def be back. I had a nice time. Very clean and friendly atmosphere🤗

We went twice there in the past week in Banff. The food is great and they have a good staff too.

Beer selection was limited and mostly from the big national brewers. I ordered chicken fingers and fries. The chicken fingers were ok, the fries arrived cold, chewy and limp. The most undesirable meal Ive had in a while. I wont go back.

We played darts and split a quesadilla. Onion rings were delicious. Quesadilla and guacamole were delicious. It seems like the kind of place Id want to hang out if I was a local.

Great times here. They have darts you can play to pass the time. It gets pretty busy! Great bartenders. Sometimes you can see Tommy himself.The bathrooms are small and can stay dirty, though.Would definitely recommend this neighbourhood pub!

This Irish pub has good food, reasonable prices and am authentic Irish waitress from Cork. This is the short of place the locals go.
