Tommy's - Fast food restaurant in Jerusalem, Israel
Been ordering from Tommys for a few years. Good burgers, fairly quick service, I like it.
Clean and neat good and fast servers family orianted
Want to give an even lower rating but dont want to burn others. The meat lacked proper texture, the fillings were near nill. Seriously I asked for tomatoes onion lettuce and pickles. What I got is a piece of only two.Couldnt even finish my burger and pretty much wasted my money. Expected better on all accounts.
Great burgers, great sandwiches, great prices
Tommys is a small restaurant in Shaarei Hesed, with high levels of Kashrut and shmita observance. They have several types of burgers, but also chicken wings, sandwiches and salads, with some non-meat variations. This is not a fast food restaurant; each dish is made to order. Most of their business is take away and delivery, as there is hardly any room to eat in.
For a moderate fast food place Tommys is a very good selection if you want to have solid quality food consistently
Got delicate but sure would be five star if was in store
I witnessed the chef lick his fingers while preparing a burger. Absolutely foul.
Great food and service. Sometimes take out takes long and therefore is gets soggy. Dine in has always been a A+ experience.
Pretty good food.
I cannot describe how disappointing this meal was. It was as if someone had read about these foods in a book, but had no idea what they were actually supposed to look and taste like. The tortilla chips seemed to be deep fried pita (with way too much oil). The onion brick was a burnt oily batter, there was onion somewhere in the middle, but we had to break the whole thing up to find it (also too much oil, it was really disgusting and we ended up throwing most of it out). The "buffalo wings" (I use quote marks because if you have ever had restaurant quality buffalo wings you would not include these in that categorywere similarly covered in some sort of thick oily batter which you had to eat through (extensivelyto get to the wing inside. The salad was ok, but didnt come with enough dressing. Deep fried cauliflower was ok, also a bit too oily, but needed a dipping sauce. My son ordered a hot dog, which was fine.I was considering 2 stars to be nice. But the following morning my wife and I both woke up with upset stomachs and I had diarrhea.I am not sure how Tommys managed to get this much oil into a single meal. I suspect that the oil in their deep fryer is either old or was not sufficiently hot to prevent the oil from absorbing into the food. The batter they use (which they seem to slather on everythingis also not tailored to the meal. It worked for the cauliflower, but wasnt the proper batter for buffalo wings or an onion brick. We made Aliyah 6 months ago and have been raving about how happy and impressed we are with the Israeli culinary experience since our move. Tommys not only didnt meet the high standard we have come to expect of cuisine in Israel, it didnt meet the standard of food I feel I could eat without feeling ill.
Delicious burgers! Simply the best.👍
Very high quality fast food. Fast, not instant
Great street food, tasty and good service
very good burger priced fairly. will come again!
Awesome location in the middle of a vibrant area. Lots of options to choose from! Delicious food!
I’ve tried a lot of places over the years and this place is a must if you haven’t tried a good burger in Jerusalem area!Very good service!
rude staff that just constantly ignores you and doesn’t help customers. food is overpriced, expect 70-80 nis for a burger with a side of fries
We got delivery to our hotel. The delivery came within 40 minutes.Pros: The burger was super delicious, a nice size. Very tasty. My bun was toasted and my husbands wasnt, for some reason....Cons: My husband got mayo on his burger, which he didnt order. The fries had no salt and no flavor. We ended up throwing them out because they were so unappealing. We had no salt packets to put on them; why dont Israelis salt their fries?? We also ordered spicy fries, and these were a joke - there was a shake of paprika or something on top of a few of them. Not a hint of spice, no salt, no flavor. We also ordered chicken poppers which were okay.Burgers = greatFries = waste of space and ended up being garbage
Really good burgers, chicken pieces, and fries, etc. They take call-in orders for take out or sit-in, and things are made well and relatively quickly. Great place, though it has very little sitting room.
Very very yummy, expect to pay a little more than average, and get a product worthy of that price. Excellent menu. Love the owner, great guy!
It was Shabbat night, but Google maps said they would be open so we walked pretty far just find they werent open and it wasnt going to be anytime soon. Found somewhere else pretty close.
Food has great flavour and great presentation.
Some of the best American-style grill food Ive had in this country. They do burgers really well. Everything tastes fresh. Prices are reasonable. Hashgacha is respectable even by haredi standards. Ive never had to wait more than 7-8 minutes. The service is a bit awkward, partly due to Coronavirus silliness, but thats the only thing holding it back from 5 stars.
1. Chefs without masks2. Customers sneezing inside, also no masks3. Hours not updated on google, says their closedNO THANKS
Great food, consistent quality, I’ve ordered for the 3rd time now and will order again. The whole family loves the food!
Very nice small cosy place with really good food and fast service. Lower medium price range.
Amazing! I went with a group of 10 people. Incredible burgers and sandwiches! The staff is awesome!
Great burgers. The Asado was really flavorful. Salads looked great as well. The onion loaf is a really great spin on a standard blooming onion. The space is pretty tight but we were there on a quiet evening. Definitely a place to come eat if you’re craving a American style hamburger.
Great take away food... first experience a good one... we will be back!
This place has really good food! And it really is fast food, we were served in no time flat.
Great environment, a bit small for groups, crazy good burgers, and solid service.
Greasy, overpriced and terribly slow service. We waited 25 min for our food and there was almost no one else here. Definitely do not recommend.
Great food. Customer service is friendly! Ordered chicken sandwich and it was excellent.
I was excited to try Tommys since it is near my place and the reviews were good. Three of us ordered the Crispy burger, Onion Loaf, Philly sandwich, and Crispy chicken sandwich. We had fries and coke as well. It was really crowded, and the seating was uncomfortable although they did have outdoor seating. It was too cold to sit outside, and the outdoor heaters werent really enough to be comfortable, so we opted for inside. The food was decent. The onion loaf was excellent, and I would come back for it. The Philly sandwich was also good. However, the Crispy burger just didnt have that much flavor which was a surprise. It was a good size burger but lacked otherwise. The chicken Fries were good. Overall, I would say it is a worth a try and especially for the onion loaf. They also had wings which looked good, but we didnt try. I would probably try Tommys once more to see if some of the other options on the menu are winners. The onion loaf gives me hope.
Had a Tommy burger 220 and a Philly Steak on sourdough. Both were delicious. This branch is a bit small with not too much seating. Looking forward to trying mosre dishes here.
We ordered from them.. service was really bad on the phone and dilivary didnt come after 1.5h so we cancelled the order...Unfortunately we wont be ordering from them again...
Delicious food, great burgers, a little pricy but totally worth it!
Delicious, fresh fast food reasonably priced. Only a small number of eat-in tables, more ideal to take out.
Tommys is the best fast food place to go to in Jerusalem! Great atmosphere and delicious food!
The amazing burgers in Jerusalem but they really got to work on their customer service
These guys know how to make a wicked burger! Highly recommended with friendly staff and good value
Really good food. Reasonably priced. Sometimes it can be pretty busy but they are very quick
Good food. Excellent kashrut. Reasonable prices. Cigars somewhat spicey and fried cauliflower a bit greasy.
Not much place to eat there. Better off taking to go. They didn’t give us all the food we ordered and after letting them know, they were suspicious as if went back to get double portion for free. Can get a little more organized. However the food is good for a fast food.
Great food! Clean and well managed. Not a lot of seating. Sloppy joe is my favorite. Worth trying.
Good food for a decent price. Quick service and generous portions. I only have 4 out of 5 stars, because the french fries are not great.
Yummy burgers! so delicious cant wait to go back to Israel for sum yummy Tommys burger#
Good fast food joint with good prices. Pretty cold though inside the tarp, even with the heaters on.
Great fast food. Hamburgers are fresh and meaty, and of highest level of kashrut. You can order in advance and have it ready before you come. Vegetarian options not great
