Tommi's Burger Joint in Vatican City

Best classic burger I have had in a while. Tonnes of flavour and the place has character. Truly feels like an American experience. Would definitely say it rivals the likes of 5 guys. Pricing is slightly cheaper than 5 guys in the UK anyway. Nice spot on our trip in Italy, went twice.

Love their burgers, sweet potato fries and hardshakes. The chocolate bourbon is amazing.

Sadly we were here because I read all the reviews and it said the burger was great and all but unfortunately we had a terrible experience and I still dont even know how good is the burger. I am writing this after my husband waited twenty minutes to order and after one hour of wait our burger still hasnt come. We talked and they forgot our order completely, we continue hungry, tired and delayed to pack our bags and leave. Really sad to leave Rome like this. Personal barely spoke English.

Awesome place with very polite and helpful staff. The menu is simple but you can make it as complicated as you want to. Near Vatikan, pretty okay prices.

Tasty burger and super sweet staff. Free condiments!!! They play some pretty good music at a reasonable level and the inside dinning area is air conditioned. (outside dinning is available). The kitchen is very clean as well as the rest of the restaurant.

If youre an American and you want a good burger and amazing service, go here. My father was having trouble with exchanging money and the cashier showed him where to go to get a good deal. The same cashier stopped in the middle of my order to give an old man some water. Very thoughtful. Burgers were great and well priced.

Its a great place to grab some Burger on the way to your Rome Expedition. Its located near to Ottaviano Metro station. They have a rugged and cool atmosphere at the restaurant. The people there speak very good English . And there is no other words for their burgers. They are one of the class. And of you finding a vegetarian Burger , then Tommis Burger joint is the place Built for you. They have a sperate area for the selection of your favorite sausages/dips. Their salsa dip is pretty awesome. They also provide you a small container for of he dip if you are in a hurry and taking a parcel.

This Icelandic chain has one of the best burgers I know of in Rome. Friendly service. Get the deal of the century - the portion of fries is generous. Diverse and complimentary condiment bar. Plus, all the napkins you need and all the ketchup you want. If you know Rome, you understand what a nice thing that is. Recommended!

The best burger place in Rome! I loved how you can choose different toppings like pickles and jalapeños, and different sauces for personal preference. The regular fries as well as the potato fries are really good. The workers are also really welcoming and friendly so when it’s not that busy you can have a chat with them.

The place is ok,the armosphere too,but the burgers nothing special. We had a beef and a chicken burger that were frozen. The bun was nice though. The prices are higher than should be in my opinion. You don’t even get cutlery, you eat with your hands..

I didnt think I would ever say this, but after spending a week in Rome, my wife and I needed a quick break from pasta and pizza. We decided to check out Tommis and it was great. There were a lot of young locals as well as young American tourists and the atmosphere was pretty cool, but definitely geared towards the younger crowd. Our burgers and fries were delicious and the owner (we thinkwas very nice.

The most dry and burnt burger I have ever encountered. The kids burger was uneatble. Staff was friendly though! Not recommended, unless you wanna see was the hype was all about..

The staff was AMAZING and the Burgers were cooked to perfection with a fantastic assortment of condiments to choose from. (Pickled jalapenos, crispy onions, or bacon flavored mayonnaise, anyone? I was also really impressed with their sweet potato fries, which was surprising to find on the menu in the first place. Its my new go-to burger place in Rome away from home.

An excellent place to visit if you fancy a change from the more traditional Italian food.The staff are very friendly and make a real effort to make you feel welcome.The burgers are delicious and its very easy to make adjustments (which isnt always easy at other locations when you cannot speak Italian!).The prices are incredibly low for the quality and quantity of food that you get. The drinks are also very cheap (€2.50 for a soft drink, €3.00 for a bottle of beer).I highly recommend this place and will likely revisit before I leave Rome!

This was a real treat. Solid authentic burger place. Thick patties cook to perfection with some fantastic sauces and freshly cooked fries. We laughed at all the people heading into McDonalds across the street. They had no idea what they were missing. The lady that served ids was awesome. Unfortunately I cannot give it 10 stars. Go treat yourself.

The burger was good, but the sweet potato fries were perfectly seasoned bites of delight! I enjoyed the ambiance, with movie posters and Woodstock advertisements, it was very cool. The location was great and easy to find. It was a little pricey, but I think the prices are an attempt to show that they are not a fast food burger joint despite being located in the shadow of the golden arches.

Shocked and pleasantly surprised that the place known around the world for doing the best pizza (Romealso has a spot that does one of the best burgers I’ve ever tasted ! Staff were also very friendly and could speak English very well. On top of this the design of the restaurant was very cosy with a unique twist. Highly recommended to any tourist that is missing home and wants some real comfort food.

This place is amazing! The people that work here are very friendly and (unlike a lot of other places herethey can speak English very well. And the burgers are, oh man, just delicious, they might be the best burgers I have ever eaten. The place looks stylish, you have a lot of free toppings you can put yourself in the burger and unlimited refill for your drinks. I really hope a restaurant of this small chain opens in my country😂 (if they read this, please open one in The Hague 😉).

This place was awesome. The music, the suburban style, the Do-it-yourself upgrade bar for your burger - just very cool. The price for the menu was very good, very affordable! The burgers were good but nothing special, I say that because I tried a lot of burgers when traveling around and so I had amazing burgers that were better.But the place was very cool, so cool that I wanted to stay just for the atmosphere.

We came to this place by mistake by getting lost, and a really nice weighter helped us find the place we were looking for, but we decided to stay there because he was so nice.The place is really cheap, and the meals are nice and tasty. We liked the atmosphere there, that was really calming and young. it is important to say we came there in the evening, and it was pretty romantic place.

Great place to grab a quick bite near the Vatican. Burgers were good for a decent price. They have a nice combo on the menu that includes fries and a drink. Staff was incredibly friendly and the atmosphere was fun and lively. Even has a student discount of 15% off. Highly recommend!

Great vibes, lovely and approachable staff that will go out of their way to help you, and burgers are top-notch.Their beef patties are the best Ive had in awhile, and they usually cook them medium rare, so be sure to specify if you want it well-done.Its really close to the Ottaviano metro stop, so its worth dropping by for some burger-action if you need a break from Italian food.

Excellent burgers and very friendly staff. I live two blocks away and this is my favorite weekend guilty pleasure. You can never go wrong with the burgers and all the awesome additional toppings at the self service bar. Both the regular and sweet potato fries are phenomenal!

We had been in Italy for 2 weeks and the kids were craving for a burger (chicken). This place popped up in all the online searches and coincidentally it was within 5 minutes walk from where we were staying. The name sounded a bit corny, but the desire for the burger was overwhelming.One of the best burgers we had. First day it was my younger daughter and I and the 2nd evening, the whole family.They only have one chicken burger but it is worth it. In terms of beef burgers there are many choices- but am not the correct person to speak on that.The service was super excellent- Donato is just amazing.Will always come back.

The staff was friendly, speaks English, and the service was excellent. The prices are reasonable.We visited during peak tourist season and it was very busy.Weve ordered two medium done burgers. I wanted to give 5 stars when the food arrived, unfortunately one burger was perfect while the other was very well done and dry.With only one chef, they should consider reducing the vast number of options on their menu, which is confusing to customers, never mind the poor chef who has to try and remember the details of every order.

Perfection! Best burger Ive ever had in Europe. Super fresh bun, very thick and lean burger patty and fixed up "American style". They had fun condiments on the side too, like smoky bacon mayo or firecracker sauce (like bbq sauce). Service was also the BEST weve had in Rome!! Super friendly. Lots of reason this is a MUST visit.
