Tokyo Japanese Steak House & Sushi Bar in Prattville

This place is absolutely the best hibachi I have ever had. I’ve been to a few places all over the US and this is just amazing. The food has immense flavor the meat is tender, the price is on par with what you would expect. The white sauce or yum yum I could bathe in. I just finished my leftovers from dinner at 6p and it’s now 11pm and the food somehow got better. The customer service is spectacular they are attentive and quick. One lady at my table has severe allergies to nuts and seed and they did a great job accommodating her needs. I will definitely be back to this great place.The only small downside is parking is rough on a Friday but who doesn’t have rough parking on Friday.

Food was fantastic. More than we could eat. Only complaint was waiter didnt listen when I ordered a spider roll. We even committed my husband didnt like sushi. He put in for 2. When it came was in big display. I was shocked but I didnt know any better....thought was spider roll. When bill said 2 was when we found out his mistake. Since I had ate quite a bit of it...we paid for it but not too happy. Sushi was to die for though....fantastic!!!!!

Fantastic hibachi-style steakhouse. Wide variety on menu, including sushi and other Japanese dishes in addition to the Hibachi grill. The cooks do not put on as much of a show as they do at other similar restaurants, but their focus on getting the food to diners as quickly and efficiently as possible pays dividends. Prices more than reasonable for the amount of food that comes included with each meal. Definitely recommend and will go back the next time I am in town.

The food was fine. The service was awesome and our server was incredibly nice. The atmosphere was pleasant and I enjoyed watching the other people in the restaurant having fun!

Our chef was Glen and this was by far the best Hibachi RICE AND STEAK I’ve ever had! Service was impeccable! He entertained a 4 year old and had charisma to spare! Thank you for a fabulous experience!

Their sushi is amazing I highly recommend the kamikaze roll its amazing. Overall had a good experience, and is well worth the price.

Food was excellent! I’ve been wanting some good hibachi recently. I’m used to having a Benihana nearby & hadn’t had anything that I felt was comparable. A local recommended this place to my fiancé & we went to check it out. I got a couple of the Sour Apple Martinis while we waited on our table which were perfect. It took about 15min to get seated on a busy Saturday night. The food & service were both great. Will definitely be back!

So much delicious food. We had steal and chicken with fried rice. Everything was fresh and the pineapple saki was the nest!

Overall good service and the food was ok, nothing too special as far as everyone who came with me ordered, but everyone was satisfied. I cannot say anything about the Hibachi and maybe it is amazing i dont know. HOWEVER this was possibly the worst soba soup I have eaten. The noodles were overcooked and overall it was less than bland, also they use agaricus mushrooms (the real cheap ones they tend to put on pizza and stuffif you care about something like that, not the various typical japanese mushrooms for soups of this sort. 2 stars because I couldn’t even eat it and it made me sad. So if you go here just order something else, it’s probably going to be fine or even good, just avoid the nabe.

Really used to like this place but, understand hard to keep staff but waited over 40 minutes after sitting before Hibachi chef came out- everyone frustrated- clicked his knives together-nothing else -no show— didn’t talk -zero interaction except for order checks- —-cook’s show more at Waffle House. and smile—-Done

Not understanding how this place has such high ratings…-Fried rice has no vegetables, only egg and loads of oil and butter- Food is drowned in oil, butter, and teriyaki- Ordered filet mignon and doubt it was that- Chef was messy, food all over the table- Only positive is the server who was very attentive

How the heck do over 2000 people enjoy this place?! The food is caked in mayo and teriyaki. You can’t even taste the food. Steak, shrimp and anything else was over cooked. What am I missing?! Gross! The floors are caked in grease and the makeshift fans set to help with the AC are caked in grease. Good luck patrons. May God help you enjoy.

Everything was great! Our server was attentive and courteous. The hibachi chef was entertaining and talented.If I were to find a criticism, it would be that the restaurant added the 18% gratuity as a service fee without disclosing it to the customer and provided a space for a tip. So, someone is being double tipped at a rate of 36%! This is a tad deceptive.Read those receipts people!

One of the best hibachi restaurants in town. Dine in and you will be impressed. ALL of the staff, bartenders, and chefs are extremely friendly and very well experienced. The menu is very big, I love coming here as the food matches the service. I have honestly been coming to this restaurant for several years I have had a numerous amount of birthday parties business meetings friendly get together‘s and many other occasions I am definitely a regular at this establishment now. They also offer hibachi food at a booth/table setting without the fire in the middle!

Amazing experience! I was here with my boyfriend, sister and little brother. They accommodated my brother being scared of the fire and made him have an enjoyable experience. The hibachi was one of the best we have had. It was amazing costumer service.

Hands down the best Hibachi/Japanese food I’ve ever put in my mouth! The sushi is amazing as well! You really can’t beat it. Staff and cooks are all very friendly and accommodating and kid oriented. Id. give it 10 stars if they let me!

The rice was OK it would’ve tasted better if there had maybe a little bit more flavor in it. The filet mignon was fatty and with a large amount of gristle , they redid the first one but the second one was almost as bad, so they had to cut off almost 1/ 8 of the steak because of the gristle and fat because I told them I won’t eat that so there’s no reason to cook that , cut that off. Still got 4 pieces that went in the trash . It was just Poor quality of meat . I said they should just take that off my bill and not cook that but it was like I didn’t get heard. My spring rolls were delicious, my vegetables were good. Besides the spring rolls and vegetables , my chicken was very good. Also got a side of noodles. So the next time I will get noodles, chicken and spring rolls with vegetables. If I go back .

Last week…So good. My only complaint was I paid $4.50 I believe it was to get noodles instead of fried rice. I had about a half a cup of noodles not worth what I paid. Next time I will definitely just order extra side of noodles because I think it would be a bigger portion and keep my rice but the taste was the best I’ve had and that was a to go order so I think that’s even harder to do. Everything tasted so fresh maybe the chicken was a little bit too done but I can’t complain about the sauce or the taste of things the steak was perfect

We eat here atleast 2-3x a month. The wait sometimes can be long but I expect that. The food is always great. We eat at both hibachi and regular tables. I will say when at regular table and order hibachi you definitely don’t get as much food as you do when at the hibachi table. Sushi is always great. There is a sauce that is served with the soft crab that is freaking amazing. I recommend you ask your waiter for a side of the sauce that is served with the soft crab. You won’t be disappointed! Overall great food great sushi great atmosphere. The gentleman that is always there is amazing and professional. I’ve never encountered a bad experience with him ever. Price wise, yes they are on the expensive side, but I feel it’s worth it.

Sat at the bar was friendly service and while they were packed the bartender was attentive to our needs. I really enjoyed the spicy salmon and can say this is probably the first time where Ive had spicy salmon and it was spicy so it was a great surprise.

Great dinner tonight! We had a spicy tuna roll and shared the hibachi house special. It was delicious! Cooked and seasoned everything well.We will be back!

Good taste of food.Food was well cookedTable was not too congested but there were plenty of room on the table to put food as well as drink.Chef / cook was a polite.It would have been better if he clean the cooking utensil everytime before cooking different food items or using different utensil for beef , chicken and vegetables.Very well experienced at this location.

Presentation was great. Sushi was okay but didnt feel worth the price. Ive had great sushi that includes miso soup at half the price.

Second time I’ve been here. First time in at least 5-7 years minimum. Had hibachi the first time I thought it was good. I got the soft shell crab and a plate of sushi. It was as good as expected if not better. Was so full after that I sat BLOA-TED in the car after dinner for fifteen minutes while a massive crab bubble worked it’s way thru me. Excruciatingly painful. But the food was good. c:

We tried new to us Asian restaurant. Very good. They were busy so we ordered from the table. Hibachi from kitchen. Good. Try it soon.

We arrived around 4:30. At that time already a lot of people were there dining for dinner. Menu had a lot of different kind of sushi as well as food from kitchen. We ordered sashimi plate and rainbow roll. Somehow server gave us 2 soups for us. It was not miso soup though. Sashimi was very fat and very good portion 18 pc of it. Rainbow rolls (I don’t think it wasn’t exactly rainbow. But something else… I forgot the namewas equally tasty as well.

My fiance and I have been going here for a year, on almost every Friday night. This place is, by far, the best place to go for sushi, hibachi, and the BEST customer service ever. The employees are always smiling, happy, and talk about how they all are family. They make us feel like family. During the covid shutdown, they continued to cook for first responders. They remained positive throughout the whole pandemic. We love this place so much! The food, omg, the food. Weve NEVER had a bad meal. Not once. Great place to celebrate a birthday, wedding anniversary, or just come eat shrimp, steak, chicken and yum-yum sause. We ordered Miso Soup, House Garden Salad with mixed fresh green salad and house made ginger dressing, Chicken Teriyaki Dinner, Shrimp Teriyaki Dinner, and Steak Teriyaki Dinner. The staff were very attentive, polite, and accomodated our needs very well. Loved our time here and hope to come back soon!

Love the hibachi shows, great atmosphere, wonderful friendly fast service even when they are super busy, making this place a tradition for one of my kids birthdays, they do an awesome birthday song with drums, food is great, sushi is too! Absolutely love this restaurant, best Japanese restaurant around!

I know this may sound a bit pedantic. However. How are you charging prices like such with 1 ply toliet paper? Other than that? Great and attentive customer service. Great presentation and wide arrangement on menu items. Id go back. Drinks are a lil weak though. order wisely.

This place was a good surprise for me in Smyrna. Great food, great service and atmosfere. Asian style restaurant where you sit in front of the chef. You leave the place a little bit smoked but it worths.

Men I love this place it is an amazing place to eat. The atmosphere is great. The food is amazing. I love that they make the food right in front of you because you get to see the detailed process of how the food is made. It adds another level to the whole experience. Also it is a great place for groups of friends or family to eat. The Chef is also nice and friendly. They also have an amazing shushi rolls but I love in particular the spider rolls it is awesome.

The service here is outstanding! And the food is even better. They even have some specials everyday. I typically get the bento box, Japanese bagel roll (is like a Philadelphia roll with avocado). It was really good! And it filled me up! I definitely go here for a date night, dinner, lunch or any occasion. They also have the hibachi grill which is awesome, a lot of people book it for birthdays, so Id recommend making a reservation ahead of time bc its very popular. Overall, great experience.

FANTASTIC experience. There is a very comfortable waiting area while you wait for your table. The hostesses call your name and can be a little quiet and be prepared to sit with people you dont know for the hibachi experience. All in all, it is quite worth any wait. The food is incredible and the chefs are very interactive.

Ive been to Toyko for lunch take out, lunch and dinner at hibachi. Each time has been a great experience. Nice staff, eager to help and accommodate your needs.
