Enjoyable experience for lunch with friends. Extremely affordable and nice prompt service. It is a little cramped so may be difficult for larger people to visit, but we didnt find this too off-puttingGreat for students!

I ordered the katsu chicken main and karaage chicken entre. The karaage chicken was white and soggy, and after one bite of the katsu chicken I gagged and could not eat it. I did not eat any more of the meal due to the fear of food poisoning.

I had the karaage chicken with curry & it was really good! I was surprised by the amount of chicken it had (a lot!)

Gets super busy but very big portions at such a reasonable price. Fish is fresh as well and tastes delicious.

This place, I always visit. Really good prices for meals. Its warm and cosy. Ramen is awesome and my favourite. All in all just a great place to eat out at random. Be warned, super busy at prime lunch time.

Amazing meals every time, great bang for buck too

I ordered from Tokyo House through DeliverEasy. My order included two types of ramen, tuna sushi, and takoyaki. The ramen was alright, but not the best. However, there were two errors with the order. First, instead of takoyaki, I received fried tofu instead. Second, I the Tokyo Ramen was supposed to include an egg, but no egg was included. Probably wouldnt recommend.

Really poor ingredients and preparation. Clearly used frozen vegetables and was shocked to see canned tuna on the menu. The best dishes were the prawn tempura and salmon sushi nigiri, but even they were mediocre at best. Maybe Im biased because Im from Canada, but back home I could have gone to a sushi buffet and gotten better quality.

Salmon Sushi - The sushi rice was too hard, it seems like it was cooked by yesterday.Tokyo Ramen - was not the thing I want but the soup was fine. Dumpling was standard....Sashimi platter - The best thing in my order.The seats were small and uncomfortable, but the service was pretty good.

Quick friendly delivery but the chicken looked an odd colour (almost greyand wasnt particularly tasty as I would expect.

I’ve had numerous meals here and they’ve all been delicious. The teriyaki chicken on rice, chicken karaage on rice with mayo, and the Japanese curry are so good. Highlight is the satay, it’s my favourite place for satay chicken in Dunedin. The sushi is always fresh and they make it to order. Super friendly, they make an effort to remember frequent customers.

All 4 meals we had delivered were so delicious, we asked for our chicken curry to be hot and that didnt disappoint either, all was so so good, such good flavours👌👍

Worst place to eat. If you eat the food you want to throw up. Also the personal is so unfriendly. They were not able to change my food or to spoke as friendly as I spoke to them. Never again

Absolutely best sushi in Dunedin! I normally go for the crispy chicken, and its amazing! Had a riceball today for the first time, and wow its good! Plus the dude who normally makes the sushi is lovely!

Great affordable Japanese food in Dunedin, was recommended to me by a friend who studies at Otago University and was not disappointed! The curry was fantastic and the cafe was very reminiscent of curry houses that I’ve been to in Japan. Overall great place for a late night meal in Dunedin.

I am a local and have eaten here for over 15 years. The sushi is always made fresh, is of consistently good quality (up with the best in townand is one of the most reasonably priced. The service is friendly and fast.

Inexpensive casual dining place with a good range of menu items. Sushi is always prepared fresh which is a big plus too. Might not be truly authentic Japanese food but what they offer certainly are tasty and enjoyable.

Great Japanese restaurant with nice Japanese traditional cuisines. Nearly the same price as those in Japan. The taste is also similar to what you can get in Japan. Good value I would say.
