Tokyo Disneyland in Ichihara
Description
Privilege
First time to Disneyland. No doubt it’s a beautiful fantasy place but it felt very disorganise and didn’t live up to the expectation of what it should be. One ride I enjoyed the most will be beauty and the beast! The graphic, experience and flow of it are absolutely beautiful. Next time I visit will go to DisneySea, many’s say it’s a lot better than land.
MoreYou are never too old for fairytales.I visited this place 4 years ago and still get that smile on my face when i look that back.Surely, the happiest place on earth and i will come again very soon!
MoreWe are having a great time here at Disney Tokyo. The rides are good. The lines were long but they did not take a long time with their lines. The staff was good at getting people through the lines quickly and I appreciated that. I didnt see a lot of characters around but it was good.
MoreOverpriced merchandise - except for the stuff on sale one hour before closing. The best time to visit the park is Late June and September - any other time; you’re probably wasting money by waiting in long lines and riding a handful of rides. The rides are great if you can ride all of them. Beauty and the beast is the winner here. The food is decent. I recommend sneaking a Snickers bar in your sock or a Subway sandwich in your pants, if you’re a dad. Suppose you can’t get away with that in your skinny jeans, head on over to Le Taverne De Gaston for some food for strength.
MoreI have not been here in 10 years and to be honest I was disappointed. I have to wait in line for all attractions because there are no passes now, and most attractions have 1-2 hour waits, with the longest being 160 minutes. It is a waste of time to come all the way here from far away and spend so much time waiting in line. I would like to see a more efficient system so that people can visit the attractions more efficiently. I think USJ has a higher customer satisfaction level these days. Disneys contents are old and even if they are new, they are not very interesting. The quality of the staff is also declining. When I was waiting in line for Beauty and the Beast, I was asked, "Where is the last in line? How long is it? When I asked them, they looked very annoyed and showed me a sign saying, "Its written here. I was shown a sign saying "You see the sign here? I thought it was a far from Dreamland.I think they are too commercialistic. I only come here occasionally, but that is why I feel very different from the past. I hope it will return to a good Disney.
MoreIt will be difficult to try and do everything in one day, as waiting lines will eat hours of your time here. The rides are quick but enjoyable. The cost for things is a little pricey, but if you may never go back it might be worth it for you. Its just cool to explore all the different personalities of the park, especially how vibrant Toontown and the space mountain area are.
MoreIt was so fun to live my childhood again! The park was great, lots to do and see. It was very clean and entry was organised and quick. Shops and food were cheap however the food was shocking! Thankfuly we could exit and re enter the park meaning we could eat in the near by shopping center by the station!
MoreMy first time in a Disneyland. It is very well organised. And everything is so nice and detailed decorated. I felt like I’m in a really Disney movie. The technology was also very nice. Sometimes we haven’t been sure if this was a real human or a robot. Fast pass is really good to have, especially for the beauty and the Biest castle. This was really a highlight. Food is also delicious. Overall I have a really good feeling about the money I spend and the experience/food/toys I got. The only negativ point, 5min before the firework should started they announced that it got cancelled, due to weather conditions. The sky was very clear and bright. I came to know that they regularly cancel the fireworks. This is very disappointed.
MoreWhat can I say? Its Disney! Im predisposed to loving it.I didnt plan my trip, just spontaneously decided to go. Which meant I had no tickets and just hopped on the train. Then I googled to read up on what to expect. A couple of bloggers said you cant buy tickets at the gate and I tried to hop online to the ticket store with my smartphone but I couldnt get it to work with Android. Plus the blog sites said tickets run out so I debated hopping off the train and heading back to the hotel. But I was already halfway there so I decided at minimum I would just get on the Disney train that loops the parks and sightsee. And I did that and then followed the crowd off the train through the resort and toward the gates. I asked an employee if its possible to still buy tickets and he told me that tickets are online, and when I explained it didnt work on my phone he told me to ask at the gates. So I headed toward the gates and I was intercepted about halfway there by more kind employees who took me aside to a hidden window where they allowed me to buy a ticket there. So yay! Disney adventure saved!I took my time exploring the parks. I wanted to do Pirates and Haunted Mansion and both were a bust. The Pirates ride was closed and Haunted Mansion line was long. I waited 30 minutes in line only to find that you have to reserve a spot and that reservations were already closed. Bummer! I ended up riding Small World (puppets and display were not as worn as they are at Disney worldand doing the Star Tours ride. Mostly I browsed shops and ate popcorn and meandered around!
MoreVery busy but very ordered. Easy to get to on the train but have to have tickets before you get there
MoreNice day out for the family. Good mixture of rides and shows/parades. Food relatively well priced compared to similar theme parks. Able to spend whole day here easily. All attractions are in Japanese which, as you can expect, does slightly detract from the ‘magic’ as a non-Japanese speaking visitor (comparing to US Disney Theme Parks).
MoreIts like no other. Its a place you have to experience. My tips and recommendations. With little children ? Go off peak season ... Like late fall Oct, Nov worked great for me. The Christmas theme has just begun an you wont be disappointed 🎄. If you like the parades then find a spot along the route that has seating only on one side, all the mascots and characters will only have the one side to greet you with making a better experience for the little ones hoping not to be missed by the characters. Also a good idea is to park your stroller and reserve your spot about 1 hour before the parade starts. We parked ours close to food venues and also washrooms with insight. The next parade is a different theme and is usually spaced out every couple of hours. The early afternoon parade was great the Christmas parade was even better but the very best and the one you wont want to miss will be the evening illuminated parade. .The Crystal palace had the best food experience in my opinion. But we ate at a different location we ate at the restaurant that was themed from Alice in Wonderland with all the Cards. The meals were pretty good but the selection was very limited. There isnt all you can eat buffet but you need to book that well in advance and that could take away from your experience at the park.another great spot to grab a quick bite to eat is at the stage near the back end of the park where the Mickey mouse show is and very close to where the Star wars theme is. They offer pizza coffee ice cream and these amazing little martian shaped green mochi balls that come in three different flavors in one serving. If you dont want to be walking around with souvenirs all day then what I did was purchase all my souvenirs at the end of the evening but just before the fireworks that way you avoid huge crowds in the gift shop.Another alternative to that would be the mall that is just beside the train station at the main entrance theres a huge Disney store inside that mall with the prices that are the same as in the park if not a little less.If youre an adult and love the big themed rides and arent traveling with kids I would make sure that you go straight to the ride that you want first as soon as the park opens.. that way you should only have to wait between half an hour and 40 minutes for the ride rather than an hour and a half that you might expect to see on weekends.Overall an amazing experience.if you need lockers there are lockers available for as little as four or five dollars and they do hold quite a bit of stuff. They also have strollers available for rent but Im not sure how much they cost probably around $20 or so.The prices overall that this Disneyland resort are much cheaper than other Disneyland resorts in the United States Im not sure why but this is definitely a park but is more friendly on your wallet. If youre interested in writing the Mickey mouse themed monorail train you dont have to be in the park to access it you can access it from the hotel I think it cost $8.If all the hotels are full at Tokyo Disneyland, an alternative could be the Prince Hotel Tokyo Bay. Its about three subway stops away from Disneyland ( 15 min a five-star experience in my opinion. Check my other reviews if you want to see more on that. .A big thank you to all the kind and hard-working staff at Tokyo Disneyland youre definitely the stars of the show.!!!
MoreInteresting experience, first time going after living in japan for some time .Don’t really see the hype for adults but for children sure .Within Disneyland it’s quite big although not as many rides as you would imagine or that my childhood tv hyped it up to be .I did find it interesting there sales tactics with food vendorsLimiting what was sold and where it was sold cashing a bottle neck of customers either at mines for food or at rides .It’s an age old Method but forever wants to wait a million hours just for a hotdog then a ride it’s a little unbearable. The price on top is a bit ridiculous considering but this is DisneylandI understand they need to make money but yeah anyway .This is just an opinion
MoreLove this place even as an adult. Everything is cute and pretty. Went during a weekday and theres already gazillion people. I cannot imagine when the crowds of tourists are back. Most of the tourists when i went are Japanese. Very polite and everyone is helpful. Average length of queuing for rides is about 30-50mins. Must really go very early in the morning. The crowd increased as the day went by. The big thunder mountain ride and splash mountain rides are awesome. Buzz Lightyears Astro Blasters is fun to play if you travelled in a group. Most rides are easy if you go in pairs. Theres noon and night parade and its best to prepare a mat to sit while you wait or buy one from Tokyo Disneyland. Be prepared to spend an entire day at the park. Was disappointed that there were no fireworks due to weather conditions on my visit. Would visit again if I go Tokyo again.
MoreWe go almost every Christmas. It truly is the happiest place on earth. We’ve never had a problem with the staff. During the pandemic last year, they did a great job with precautions to keep people safe. The app is needed to get standby tickets. The only problem is, you’re only allowed to acquire standby for one ride at a time. You can’t get it for more than one. You have to wait a certain time. This makes you have to chose what you want. We were unable to ride a few rides because all the standby tickets were gone by noon. So, chose wisely if what you want to ride.
MoreIt was our first trip in Disneyland and it will not be the last. The day we went was 10/26/22 had already started the discount ticket . But unfortunately we didn’t purchased it. We had bought our ticket at family mart. The experience was beyond words. We hadn’t chance to roam all over Disneyland for it is really huge. But we had so much fun. I really really love the beauty and the best.
MoreOur final park in the world and a great one!Beautiful park, very reminiscent of Florida or California. Some exceptions Hauanted mansion is better with overlays for seasons. The park is immaculate, no wear, everything is perfect condition.Nobody has defaced anything. The crowds are very well behaved and polite, very different than North America sadly.Everybody is friendly and patient. One of the best in the world.I would rank it #3 in the world after World and California.Mostly because of the origin.
MoreWonderful and stunning place to visit while you in tokyo . Book ticket in advance is recommended and come here as early as possible otherwise you will end up waiting for hours just for get in.
MoreKind of small, but WAY MORE CURATED AND AUTHENTIC than disneyland paris! The staff really makes u feel part of the dream, queues are bearable and quite easy to navigate with the app.Great parades and beautiful costumes!!Last time i was in the paris one i was disappointed by rude staff, chipped furnitures, old looking details and overall french rudeness to tourists. Here i started dreaming again! Only downside closes around 8.30pm..
MoreAmazing park with top entertainment offering. US standards are met with better ride maintenance and unique shows. Parades are above other Disney park standards, though lines as well. Expect to queue even for popcorn!
MoreI went on the month of October and on a Saturday. Dont forget to go there at least before an hour. The security check takes some time because of that itll turn into a huge queue. This trip mainly focused on Tokyo Disney Parades. There are 4 main Parades and for me the electric parade is the best. Youll not be able to find a place to watch it unless you wait in a good place for at least 1 hour ahead. My only regret was, i couldnt see the Enchanted tale of Beauty and the beast. It was continually 2 hours or more waiting time and premier passes were sold out before the evening. If you really want to see this, I highly encourage you to get the premium pass in the morning.
MoreAmazing time at disneyland tokyo, but must say the process for getting tickets online is ridiculously difficult, website constantly crashes and so many issues with the website, I recommend anyone getting tickets get them in 7/11 stores.
MoreGet there early as there is a queue for bag check then another for entry. My friends got there at 7:30 and were through the gate by 8:15, I got there at 7:50 and got through the gate by 8:20. As a first time goer the parades were a lot of fun though I wasnt prepared for the amount of queuing! The app is useful to see the wait time for each ride. Also, the queue for lunch right before the midday parade was insane, but if you get lunch after the parade the queue was much more manageable.
MoreWOW….JUST AMAZING 🤩😍 FANTABULOUSAn amazing theme park🤟👍Visiting Tokyo Disneyland is one of the top things to do in Tokyo with kids but you’ll find that adults enjoy it just as much. Incredible 😍Our journey starts from the Ibaraki Tsukuba. We have come here by car 🚘. It’s easy to access and recommended if you have a small kids. But you have to be patience while returning.Parking fee: 3000 Yen 💴Or you can plan by train too 🚆.Tsukuba(TX-> Minami Nagareyama -> Maihama🚉Before entering the park, staff members will check your luggage 🧳 and after that you can enter. And you have to wear mask😷 every time even if you are clicking pictures with Disney Character. Please install Disney Resort app in your mobile. Would be really helpful to know the details about the waiting time.⏳All the attractions are amazing. so please check the waiting time and enjoy 😊.A big thumbs up👍👍 and salute🫡 to the staff members. They managed it very well, clean, you can easily find the dustbin, toilet 🚽.
MoreIts the most expensive admission to any amusement park Ive been to, however, I think its well worth it. Being a Disneyland, it does create a dreamy feel, as if there is a sweetness in the air. Not only the atmosphere is beautiful, but the service is also very thoughtful, and each ride does not need to wait for a long time. The only fly in the ointment is that the food in the restaurant is a bit pricey, but acceptable for amusement park prices. All in all, it was a special experience that I would like to visit again.
MoreTokyo Disneyland is one of the theme park of Tokyo Disney Resort (the other park is Tokyo DisneySea, located next to Disneyland, but requires a separate entrance ticket).Disneyland is a classic Disney theme park; it has a castle in the middle and all the classic and new Disney character that people love. It was a bit curious to see so many japanese cosplayers posing and taking pictures with the great background that the park offers.I could easy spend one entire day hanging around and checking all the attraction. My highlight was the night parade (which starts late at night, around 19.30. It is definitely worth it to reserve your best seating place and wait until nightfall to see this parade!).My favorite attractions are: Splash Mountain and Haunted Mansion. If you are buying souvenirs, my advice is to do it just before leaving the park, otherwise you will be walking a lot of carrying heavy bags!
MoreDont be surprised by my rating there is a reason -Tokyo Disneyland has a pathetic way to generate the revenue.Tokyo disneyland is now digital, you need "Disney Resort" App in your smartphone to explore the resort and find the rides on Map (As they dont provide paper Map now- The basic need. However, This basic need (Smartphonecan not be charged while you are in resort whole day.The only way to charge your smartphones battery is you need to take rental powerbank service (180 JPY for 1 hour).I did not underatand what kind of revenue generation is this as you are taking 9400 JPY for 1 day pass but still cannot provide battery charging station instead of asking for 180 JPY (Tiny amount but if you multiply that with number of people use then can be a big revenue generation stream)In year 2022 when smartphone is basic need of people, they will use it extensively whether it is taking photographs or using your "Disney Resort" App for finding rides. Now comes to the charging bank rental service - Pathetic again as they do not have generally in stocks because most of the power banks have been occupied by the needy (offcourse). They have dediccated booths inside resort for rental seevice (attached photoswhy they cannot provide charging station instead? I really dont understand it.Now if you want to take the rental service you need to scan the QR code and then pay by credit card.Think, If your battery is already discharged then you cannot take the rental service because you cannot scan the QR code (what nonsense). Who has designed this process i mean really. 😅Everyone knows abput the positive side of Disneyland so I wanted to pay attention of the other side and review it.Check some photographs....
MoreTLDR; pack your lunch and be prepared to wait a lot.It was a lovely experience but there are two things to watch out for: the queues and the food. It does take time to get into the most popular attractions. We ended up going to the less popular because our children just couldnt stomach 1 hour queue. That was expected. However, the food was abysmal. I mean, totally inedible. There may be better food to be had, but they had a very long waiting to get in. So resorted with less popular places to eat and it was shockingly bad. I mean, a French toast with creamy sauce chicken? A croissant with a sausage and a bit of chicken bone? Made all 4 of us pretty sick.
MoreIts a nice place but we dont have much time to go around, i think it would be better if youll spend like 3days and 2nights in their hotel just to enjoy the full amenities of the resort. But i enjoyed it specifically the Enchanted Beauty and the Beast ride.
MoreTook my beautiful granddaughter hereWe had the best timeLots of shops to buy Disney itemsPlenty of restaurantsGreat rides for the little ones which my granddaughter lovedAll the princesses to see and castlesMickey and Minnie Mouse which the children loveTake your children there for an awesome dayYou will probably need more than one day hereWe took about a week at this awesome park
MoreEnjoyed the experience. Disney Characters entertained us during the rains. Never a bored moment. Great to buy tickets in advance.
MoreA friendly and beautiful experience. Good for family especially my daughters. Pricing inside is as per most theme park but they add a touch on the packaging and doing the extra with their staff attitude.
MoreSuper busy but well organized queues, most of them away from the extreme heat we had today in the resort. Amazing app which helps not only to navigate but also to be effective with your time. Good quality food and restaurants. well done Tokyo Disneyland
MoreWhat isnt there to like about Disneyland. Dream place for everyone. The app helps make plans on which ride to go and would really recommend anyone who visit there.
MoreWhat an amazing place to visit for a birthday! My son had a blast! The parade was incredible. Everyone got to see because you remain seated for the whole performance. Definitely get a souvenir popcorn bucket and try all the different flavors.
MoreWhat a beautiful Parc! Easy to go in one one day and experience everything. In the morning Phantom Manor was closed, but the staff member called me and said that it would be open in a couple of hours. She noticed that I was upset about it. Everything was really clean and the cast members really helped me that day with taking a lot of photos!
MoreFirst time to a Disneyland park! Amazing experience, awesome attractions and very organized staff. A lot of people even though it was a weekday.
MoreHands-down the best theme park we have been to as a family. This is a MUST SEE if you’re in Tokyo with children or even without children. You can have fun and experience the major at any age range. Don’t forget to get your collectible popcorn bucket take home enjoy with a nice movie because he’s popcorn buckets are pretty cool. The best way to get a ticket during this Covid time is to book a hotel through Disney Resort. You can get tickets first thing in the morning check with your hotel for additional information. even if Disneyland says no tickets available your hotel if it’s a Disney hotel can sell you tickets.
MoreDisney really does know how to bring the magic. This was my first time to ever go to anything Disney and I’ll definitely be going back. As a child I had always wanted to go but never could, but this visit brought the child in me back to life. I don’t know how they do it but this is truly a magical place.
MoreWonderful! Even though It was rainy Sunday, there were full of stories and magical sighting seeings! Not so long waiting time for each attraction. Food from Chinese restaurant, named by China voyager, so quite good. Many of staff were welcoming and nice enough to enjoy all. No English voice guide, but it was easy to fully involved into with very well known Disney’s stories.
MoreAmazing theme park. It is recommended to visit on weekdays to avoid the crowds. It is not possible to book same day tickets so booking in advance on website is required. We paid 8400 yen per ticket and were able to enter at 9 am. You can ride on 90 percent of the rides in 12 hours on a weekday. Some rides like baymax and beauty and the beast require standby pass so use the Disney app to book it. The American part of the theme park was amazing and it felt as if we are in Americas of the 1900. Must visit place if living near Tokyo. The food, drinks and souvenirs are overpriced but of good quality. The staff is very kind and kept waving at us on all rides. There are fireworks for 10 minutes at 8 pm. The train and the mark twain riverboat are must visit.
MoreI spent the time traveling with my friend at Tokyo Disneyland in winter in January 2019. The services here were so excellent, there was a theme park map that described the landmarks, amusement park rides, restaurants, toilets, etc. that were very easy to understand. Or if you had some questions, you could ask the staff in every amusement park ride. For the cleanliness, It was very clean because there were bins in every area. That’s nice and comfortable! The food is delicious especially churros. The thing that made this place special was the tourists could wear the costume or accessories to match this place. It felt approachable and enjoyable to this amusement park. Of all of them, this place was one of my favorite amusement parks.
MoreThis is such an amazing amusement park! Its a beautiful place, delicious food, friendly staff, etc. Its a great place for all ages. The park itself looks beautiful and there are so many things to do and this park is also very clean and efficient. Some days there are too many people, causing delays in playing the rides but every ride is really fun from childrens rides to thrilling rides.
MoreGets very crowded on the weekends. I suggest bringing snacks as the line to get food gets very long during lunch and dinner. If you do get to the park early, make reservations to their restaurants and certain shows via the disney resort app as it tends to get full really quickly. As for the parades, the afternoon one was short and for me felt like I wasted my 30 minute wait for a 5 minute show. The evening one is much better (see pictures). Overall the experience was good.
MorePretty awesome place to pay a visit with family! Cool playground for kids. I bring my kid to here for his 2 year’s old birthday! It is wonderful and magical for him to be here! I will definitely bring my kid to here again when he is old enough for some facilities.Personal recommend: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★Family-friendly: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★Date for couples: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★Parking lot: ◯ 2,500 yen per dayServices/meals/products/design: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★Period for stay: all dayCharge: 1-day pass adults 8,900 yen, 2 year’s old kid, freeBaby room/accessible toilet: ◯Cleanness: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
MoreWe got 10.30am "Fixed date/ Fixed time passport". (Adults 8900/ kid 5300We were from 10.30am-9pm !! We could do 15 rides with our 5 yrs old son. We thoroughly enjoyed Tokyo Disneyland !! A good place for kids, teenagers or I can say a whole family !! Due to corona they have stand-by passes instead of fast passes. So little inconvenient as you cant do all what you want. Anyway overall a good experience. Will add more information later !! A long day 😉
Morecurrent huge tip: come before 8 if you wanna get a standby pass (no more fast passfor popular shows. it says it opens at 9 but doors open at 830. download the app to get the standby pass and its good to navigage from there by booking for shows and rides. some rides dont need a pass and queue take 15-30mins. dont miss beauty and the beast! breakfast at the bakery, we were happy with croissant of mike wazowski and baymax tandoori. we went to the less popular attractions and have no regrets. minnie mouse house is lovely
MoreIt’s for kids ,couple’s and or family to visit and enjoy and amazing relaxing time and have a full day with ur loved once …. So many beautiful places and scenery’s to see and enjoy games ( indoor and out doorI highly recommend for everyone to visit and enjoy time at least once in ur life time there
MoreLove this place so much. Went at Christmas time, lots of festive themed displays and touches to ride. Light parade was magical, something that is a must view. Easy enough to get to the park via train. Everyone that works here is lovely. If staying for dinner, ensure that you book a restaurant to eat in advance, otherwise its hard to find somewhere that can fit you in.
MoreI visited Disneyland on November 6th 2021. Disney’s Covid-19’s restrictions were still on but Disney’s activities were getting back to normal. Not all restaurants were open, but almost everything went back to normal (character meeting, attractions and parades).Due to COVID, Disney is still selling their tickets with reservation, that can only be done at the Disney Resort website. It’s quite hard to get a ticket, but it worth it. I’ve never seen a Disneyland so empty like now. We visited on a Saturday and the longest queue took 30 minutes. We almost went on all attractions and also could watch the parades. It was a very nice day.
