Tokuzō Restaurant - Japanese restaurant in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia
Perfect place for Japanese food. Delicious and served fresh. The place is also clean and they have very good customer service. I will definitely come back here again.
Nice experience,i liked all dishes, the portion of suchi is satisfied 8 pc
Average Japanese Resturant.I Don’t recommend the Katsu curry, tho I do recommend their sushis.
Delicious sushi service niceAC have a problem
The food was amazing. Their service was excellent. Would recommend for anyone looking to eat Japanese food.
This restaurant was very bad and the AC was not working well, the food tasted very bad, no spices, we ordered fried rice and tosonami sushi both were a disaster. What was really upsetting that we ordered a diet cola, and they served us a regular cola, the thought we will not be noticingDon’t go there and waste your moneyNot recommended at allVery bad experience
Favorite place 🌹Enjoyed today’s visit..It was a quite night and staff are friendly ☺️Recommend to try if you’re near 👍Hope to visit again and try new options from the menu 🍽
Nice and good quality Japanese cuisine but they need to allow customers to dine in the second floor.. its a bit crowded and the tables are too close to one another.. there is no privacy at all
Very nice place so quite, the food delivers quick and the amount of it each for two really big dishes 👌🏻Service is good fast.
Tried the beef ramen noodles at this place. Quality of food was good - although wouldve been nicer if there were more spices. Quantity on the other hand was quite good - yet, I would say it is overpriced.
Its a good experience with perfect goodI came here from riyadh and all was very niceSure i will eat here everytime iam in dammam13/May/2022
The food is soo Good
I have been here for lunch several times and tried a few of their lunch bentos. Food was mostly good.
I had the chicken katsu carry, corn soup are good, I would visit it again
Have a good choices of menu.Had tomyum and i love it.gyoza and beef negimaki was so good.
best japanese meal ive had in this part of the region, tasty food, and most of all not very pricey. love the tokuzo salad, dragon maki, beef and chicken ramen (in really big servings!). will definitely come back.
The food was good. Everything was served very quickly. The food was very flavourful and the portions were huge according to the price. Definitely worth it.
Great food and awesome service. I’d like to see some improvement on the menu but overall this restaurant is heading to the right direction. Nora is my favorite dish.I have been the many times and the quality of food is consistent.A little bit pricy but compared to other sushi places in eastern province this is average.
The Japanese curry (big portion5/5Noura Hiroshima sushi 5/5The berries mojito 3/5The interior is getting a bit old
One of the best restaurants to get the Japanese curry katsu and I suggest the chicken corn soup asking with it.
Nice place with great maki rolls the food presentation is amazing and the taste matches it .. will come again insha’allah
I would say the food here is less than average not bad but not great either. Also, it’s really overpriced compared to the quality of the food and the place. I hope they improve I’d hate to see them close for good.
Wanted to try Tokuzō Restaurant for some time and decided to go there for lunch on a weekend, to celebrate a special occasion. We called ahead. Upon arrival though, there’s no one to welcome you in. The staff looked unenthusiastic and couldn’t be bothered to even help you get seated.Hardly any customers. Their service was limited to the ground floor. The only washroom however was on the empty top floor. We sat ourselves and waited well over 10 minutes before someone came over to check on us.Ironically, the waiter wasn’t familiar with the menu. When asked about some of their menu items, he had to get the host. And the host didn’t know either. They had to check with the chef. Anyway,The Wagyu Beef Roll was tasty, despite the fibrous asparagus. Recommended.Their Gyoza (chickenwas another winner. It was excellent. Another easy recommendation. The Tom Yum soup lacked depth of flavors. It was average at best. Passable.I ordered their lone Ramen entry on the menu. Big mistake. Their namesake ramen is abysmal, for lack of a better word. Sorry, not wishing to sound uppity but at its simplest form, a bowl of ramen has 5 elements: broth, noodles, tare, oil, and toppings. What I was served was thin pale lukewarm unseasoned flavorless liquid of some kind, barely any beef shavings, a bunch of sweetcorn kernels, and some other forgettable vegetables over soggy noodles. Avoid at all costs. [Take it off the menu, if possible.]We ordered an assortment of select Sushi, and they were alright. Better than their ramen! The Mocktails weren’t too shabby either. And remember the special occasion? Yeah, they completely forgot that!End of the day, the taste is subjective, and expectations are personal. Overall, worth a visit. Good luck.
Very quite place. Clean. Good service. Nice price. Tasty food. I came many times just to eat the wagyu beef they serve. It’s insanely delicious. I highly recommend. Few things I didn’t like, they used canned mushrooms in tom yum soup. And the calamari rings and kunafa shrimp they make is so oily. But it is so crispy and delicious. I only wish they could deal with these matters. Price is very good. My daughter love this place. I always take her to have sushi. Thank you
Tasty food. Ramen soup was yummy same as the sushi.
We went to this place for lunch. It was expensive, therefore, it requires a thorough breakdown. You can book, when we went the place was near-empty, seating was ok nothing special, the music selection was not good, my friend asked to reduce the music sound, which they did, for 2 minutes. Otherwise service was ok.We got the lunch offer that comes with soup, bento box and a drink. The soup was bad, the drink was normal drink 😅, lets get to the main course. My friend didnt like anything except the chicken. I got the salmon maki, steamed rice was good, salmon was like BBQ salmon not bad by any means, I just thought I would get something more.We also got a raw salmon sushi, they are big in size, but small in flavour...Ive been wanting to try this place in a long time, and Ive been disappointed.
Easy parking spot, Love the cozy ambience...Best sushi & japanese food ❤💙❤💙
Great Japanese restaurant. Sushi is very testy and place is very clean.
Food is good, high pricesStaff is good, one of them is nosy and tells you that your order is enough for one and don’t order more; not a good attitude.Love the variety of choices, great ambiance.
Really liked the ambiance. Food was tasty and the green tea was original Japanese green tea which is quite uncommon at Japanese restaurant in KSA. Bento boxes need a lot of improvement, they lack variety of food and presentation. 8 pieces Sushi platters has one type of sushi and there was no option available to get 8 pieces mix platter of sushi. Hopefully the resturant management looks into the feedback and improve.
The ambience was great... lovely music and lovely staff...... the food was good .... not great, but still good. The bento boxes need improvement(not quality wise but variety)Also there is no mix platter of rolls .... you have to order a 8 pieces platter of the same thing .... the only mix platter option they have is for 36 pieces. 🤷🏻♂️
Atmosphere and service are good.Miso soup is ok.Ramen is good and was the best dish i hadMaki are average, i dont like it much.Price is kind of high.
The food was immaculate, I loved their variety of sushi platters, my favorite is tsunami and crunchy California roll. Tenderloin salad was delicious, however, I prefer when lettuce is chopped finely instead of big chunks, the beef was cooked perfectly with the sauce. The service was great and fast, I recommend this restaurant if you like Japanese and Asian cuisine.
Best japanese in khobar hands down 🇯🇵👍I would recommend the shogan poke bowl 🍚And the chicken ketso bento box 🍱And the hiroshima sushi 🍣And the gyoza for an appetizerIts a bit expensive but definitely worth itThe customer service is great if the restaurant is not full 👍
Over priced, the tasted not deserve the price. At all, i ordered tchenopi sushi and fried rice both was average and even the rice was below the average1 plate of Sushi has 8 pieces costs around 70 SAR
Good food and atmosphere with a nice selection of vegan options. I hope for more options in the future.
Good food. Good staff. its all good!
The food was surprisingly good. The atmosphere was ok (could be better). They served the food really fast. The Gyoza was the best I’ve ever had!
Alot of saltiness in the food and sweet soya please reduce it and the taste will be good
Ambience: Place is simple and cosy, lighting is perfect, not too bright not too dark,. Taste & food presentation: simply delicious, right portions and succulent enough to taste the meat/fish not the oils. Service : Fast and very friendly, we even asked for the lovely "Vince", the chef to visit our table and he came right away, very helpful and informative as well as Mr. Ahmad, our table attendant. Value-for-money: prices are very reasonable considering the location of the restaurant. Cleanliness: First impression, place well taken care of, tables are professionally set and eye appealing.
For starters I ordered the Spring Ushi (SR. 49),Shogun (SR. 61), Tenderloin Salad (SR. 49and for the main course, we went with their recommendation of Japanese Curry Katsu (SR. 47& Shrimp Yakisoba (SR. 43).It didnt take too long for the food to arrive and we dove straight in starting with the Shogun. This was an absolute delight with a whole host of ingredients that really integrated well and the wok seared salmon really standing out. From mango to cream cheese, this flavour packed maki roll is totally worth the money and is a great way to start your meal.Spring Ushi was another feather in the cap for Tokuzo. Strips of Wagyu tenderized and seared, with some sort of a mix packed in with spring onions rolled into the beef and served on a bed of sweet soy was outstanding. Wagyu really stands out for being super tender and if it wasnt for the rest of the dishes we had ordered, I would have helped myself to another plate. PERIOD!The Tenderloin Salad was a bit of a disappointment thanks to the overly diced pieces of beef and the dressing that didnt really have any place with the meat/salad combination. I wouldnt call this dish Japanese but it wasnt too bad either. The Japanese Curry Katsu is the perfect definition of comfort food and this is exactly what I felt when I bit into the breaded deep fried chicken covered in curry sauce with a spoonful of rice. It was warm, delicious had a bit more spices than the usual katsu I have tried before. I loved the potatoes in the curry and I would totally recommend this dish. The Yakisoba was good with the shrimps stealing the show for its taste and freshness. The noodles could have been thicker but tasted good nevertheless. At SR. 43, this is a good deal but it definitely does not outshine the Katsu.Oh and the Mojito is really top class and refreshing at the same time!Follow @foodwithshayne on Instagram & Twitter!
I tried the restaurant few weeks ago and this is my opinion:👍 quality of food is good and place is alsomocktails very delicious and fresh👎 staff was drinking thè in front of guests, this shall not happen in a restaurant
Amazing food, and great service
I tried many dishes and they never disappoint. Recommended.
Their miso soup is one of the best, and that was the best thing they have😅. Crab and cucumbers salad was good but not special. Tom yum soup is average and the mushroom was canned and tasted bad. For the sashimi, it wasnt good, the cut itself isnt right and not fatty maybe the fish they used was small. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is nice. Their menu is on a tablet with pictures for everything. I will give it another chance to try their lunch boxes.
[April-2019] Tokuzo have exceed my expectations, especially with sushi. This restaurant got many good options for a Japanese restaurant, you can get bento box or set off your favorite sushi, maki and sashimi. The sushi tasted good so the beef bento. However the gyōza got to be the must try dish they have. Now one of things they should consider changing is the menu app so you add what you want in to cart instead of just remembering the order. Also its kind of expensive so for two expect to pay 260 +.
the place is nice but the flavor is not acceptable they need to work on it to be able to be among the best.
North Alaska, Tsunami & Samurai Sushi at mytokuzo 👌 My personal experience of this restaurant was super satisfactory, freshly prepared delicious Sushi rolls, variety in the menu , Cozy restaurant, friendly staff, prices reasonable for quality food... will surely visit again to try other selections ..
I’ve came across this restaurant by coincidence, it was busy weekend, the tom yom soup is great but need some hot sauce, saki , maki , ninja are so delicious 😋, definitely the best in town with very friendly staff. Keep it up
Great restaurant overall decent prices
