Amazing view!!
This hike was rather steep at times, but the reward at the top was worth it! Great hike to panoramic views!
Unbedingt feste Wanderschuhe tragen.
Great views, unfortunately i bit cloudy on our visit, but awesome anyway.
My wife & I hiked this peak on October 1, 2019. It was easy to get to from Svolvaer just a 10 min drive on the E10. Parking around the fire station. We took the ocean-facing route up to Linken (105 meters above sea levelhilltop first then to Tjeldbergtinden (367 meters above sea level). We took the backside route back. The hike was a few hours each way. Each route was nice, with the backside route in a more forested area with good lake views & the view up with views of the ocean & Svolvaer. Great photo ops & memories of views from the top near evening time. We loved the hike & the views. It is is a great half-day hike & not very strenuous, but does have some elevation.
Steep climb but worth it for the incredible views
A beautiful place to visit
Not much left
Moderate hike to the summit taking like 30 minutes. Beautiful 360 degree view on both the ocean and the mountains.
Beautiful hiking trail. Can be challenging if youre not used to it and not in good physical condition. No problem for us though even as inexperienced hikers. Trail is rocky and gets quite steep in areas. You can usually go off a bit to the side though to have a rest. Stunning views from the top of Svolvær, Kabelvåg and surrounding forests and lakes.
Very nice place to go and have good time and take a lots of nice pictures .
Gorgeous place!!
Flott og overkommelig tur næt Svolvær sentrum. Fantastisk utsikt.
Gorgeous views walkable from Svolvaer (20min to the beginning of the path). Can be done independently throughout a steep but safe trail (just go slowly on the descent). There are actually multiple trails that will be easier or harder depending on weather conditions and how many people take them (can change every year cause footsteps are changing their shape). If you want to go onto the upper rock but want to avoid the steep & ropes part, there is an easier trail via a very quick detour (on your left if you come from South)
Amazing view over Svolver from the peak.
Great view
Easy enough of a hike but still demanding enough that you get that feeling of accomplishment. If you peak that higher peak you get amazing views and a fullfilling hike/climb feel without too much physical exertion.
This is a great climb for the view. It is quite steep and some fitness is required. Recommend getting instructions from the tourist information shop about how to get to the trailhead and how to get to the top.
Fantastic heike and view
Quite easy to access and beautiful scenery
Great place for a hike. There are multiple paths, some parts can be quite a climb but its all doable for people who arent afraid of a challenge. The views are well worth it.
Great day hike! Very accessible from Kabelvåg with great views of Svolvær, the sea, and the surrounding mountains (given there are no clouds). Not too difficult though steep in places. An essential if you are visiting the area.
Fantastisk utsikt. Bratt og krevende terreng, men verdt turen.
Not sure if it’s just me or I took the wrong route, but it did’t seem category EASY to hike to the top to me. I went in mid-May, but snow is still melting hence making the route wet and slippery at times, do wear mountain shoes. However, the view at the top is really breathtaking. It made up for me that I didn’t hike at Reinebringen.
In April still only hardly accessible, but for me it was possible to get under the first peak with some effort through the snow with proper gear
Amazing view. Even in bad weather!
Nice views of Svolvær and Kolbotn. Easy walk with marked path. 👍
Very good food and bear!
The road began with a 1.5km gravelroad. There was a parking area just before the route, wich had room for 5 cars. More parking spots down at the esso station. The journey took us approx 3h up&down, including pauses. The wind is rough up there, and rocks are slippery so be careful. Absolutely stunning views though!
Totally a birds eye view to see lovely island and houses and pine trees down your feet. But it is super windy on the summit!!! Barely can walk through for the rest 100 meter haha
Its a mountain, what is there to say? Its lone peak, so the view is awesome in all four directions!
Nice mountain
Interesting hike with very beautiful views while ascending and especially at the peak. The mountain is steep, but its still a medium level for the Lofoten, still easier than Reinebringen. Highly recommend!
This is a beautiful hike with an amazing view from the top, and as well as along the way. However be aware there are steep areas along some of the paths, and it can get muddy and slick if it has rained within the last couple of days. If you are not used to hiking, I recommend walking up the main road, past the shooting range, and follow the signs towards Tjelbergtinden. It is the easiest path to hike yet has a beautiful view
Perfekt view!!! Relative easy to get up
This place may be really hard to reach in winter but its absolutely worth it. Also pay attention to the daytime and return route as it might be tricky after dark. Views from the top are stunning and its definitely worth checking out for a sunrise or sunset, but mind the way back in the dark.
Easy hike from Osan, near Svolvær. Some parts are steep, but its easy for Lofoten standards and offers great views of Svolvær and Kabelvåg.
Tjeldbergtinden is easy hike with good view on the Svolvear. It is close to town and if your in the area it is a good recommendation. At the top, there are two separate tops which allows you to have some peaceful moments by yourself. You can push your limits by standing on the edge.. and it is really the edge.. so think twice about it :)
mountain view, you dont want to miss, easy to climb, but steep, early Jun,still has some snow along the trail
Super trip close to Svolvær.
