The Titanic Memorial Garden, is located at Bishop Roch Park, a quiet and peaceful place on the eastern side of township Cobh. There is no parking within the park and its a fair walk from the town centre but a very pleasant one on a nice day. There are some directional signs along the walking route which helps but it has been difficult to find. This was my second attempt in two successive years, just follow the coastline. The Garden was built during the centenary of the Titanics sinking and officially opened on 11 April, 2014 being the anniversary of her visit to Cobh. The Garden features a large glass memorial wall in the centre, facing the sea and inscribed with the names of the final 123 passengers who boarded the ship at Cobh. Also, at the eastern end of the Garden, theres a stone memorial to Bruce Ismay, the chairman of White Star Line (owners of the Titanicand a survivor of the sinking. There are also steps that lead down from the Memorial Garden and on to the remains of Cove Forts bastion which offers amazing views across Cork Harbour and overlooking the final anchorage of the Titanic before she left for America. It was a humbling experience to be there looking out to sea.

This is an ok place. Garden is small but flowers were beautiful when we visited. It may be more off of the beaten path for most tourists- but getting here passes through more of the local streets, providing more local vibes.

Small memorial garden set in the ramparts of an old Fort, next to the harbour masters offices. 15 minutes walk through the far side of town is worth a stroll out but isnt anything particularly special.Nice view out the mouth of the harbour and on the shipping lane so all the cruise ships come very close by.

The memorial garden is about a 15 minute walk from the center of town. There isn’t a whole lot to see at the garden and honestly may not be worth it if you are pressed for time, but it’s a nice walk that’s mostly along the water and past the local houses. While walking, one of the residents called out to us and waved from his home on the hillside.

The gardens are not anything special and about 1.5km away from the Titanic experience , along the seafront. The glass/perspective memorial has all the names of those on board who perished. The setting along the seafront provides great views.A few information boards provide some more details about the Titanic owner and other interesting information. It rounds off the whole experience and as it happened we visited on 15 April , 110yrs to the day that the Titanic sank and as luck had it the 1st cruise ship docked in Cobh the morning and sailed past the memorial while we were there

There is not too much to see there but its a nice walk to the place. You are likely to meet friendly Irish people on the way to the garden, who will say Hi to you.You can read a couple of stories there too.Unfortunately there is some rubbish around, and there was a dodgy person with cannabis smell coming from his direction.

Beautiful waterfront garden and sitting area memorializing the disaster. There is a memorial here donated by J Bruce Ismay (Chairman of the White Star Linesaying that it was a place he "Spent many happy hours here." There were many that were not happy with Ismay and his survival during the disaster. It is hard to judge him in the circumstances in which he was placed. Great history!

Small park but loved the memorial. The memorial had all the passengers name who boarded from cobh. And the memorial is transparent so when you look at the names you can see the sea behind it. Like the waves could not destroy their names anymore. They had short snippets about few passengers and their stories. Must visit place.

Very pretty spot, with a handful of informative plaques. Its ambiguous what the relationship of the spot is to the titanic. Why is this memorial at this place? Was this the launch for boats that brought passengers to the ship? It looks like the titanic may have moored out from the harbor. Its a long walk from the rest of the touristic facilities in Cobh, though the streets are nice and the locals friendly.

In this memorial garden there is a huge glass depicting the names of Irish who survived or perished on the boat.I have to say it is a lovely serene place and when you view the etching of the boat against the water background it makes a fitting tribute to the sad loss of life.Take a moment a ponder

Lovely peaceful space at the end of the town Signposted most of the way. A good 25 minute walk from the public car park. However you can also drive near enough to it. Fantastic views of the harbour and where the Titanic was anchored. Below the small garden are steps to a large viewing area with benches. Perfect for a picnic on a fine day.

Came today for fishing. While Iwas pleased to have cought some makarel and other smaller fish ( released back in the wateri enjoyed the tranquility of the place, the extraordinary 270 degrees-vista and the reduced boats activity across the water. The benches offer the much needed sitting interlude when sipping avidly the warm coffee. The nicest spot in Cobh for those who wish to avoid the crowded viewing places in town. Superb

Lovely peaceful area of the town. Not a long walk from the main promenade but there is some parking so that is an option. Not much here but a few information panels with interesting history. The memorial plaque looks out to where Titanic would have been docked so is especially poignant. The site is also an old fort (and home to the current harbour office because of its viewsso you’ll find lots of history here.

Its a beautiful little park treated with the respect it deserves. A lovely memorial. Nice that those who died in such tragic circumstances all those years ago a remembered still to this day & never forgotten. To George the man in the house just before the Memorial. You are amazing for 89 years of age. Thanks for the history lesson. Best wishes & long life & health to you & your wife Ann. Tony.

Its a walk along the flat seafront road in the direction of that lone brick chimney. You end up at the port operators radar station but next to ot is the entrance to the gardens.I would call it a grassed area more than gardens, but the information boards tell the story well. There is the archway where they would have gone through to board. Not for wheelchairs but if you can cope with 5 or 6 steps, its worth the look.

This is technically not a garden per say (at least not the time I went anywaybut it is free of charge. If you have nothing else to do by all means come and visit. However, I would not go out of my way just to come here.It is more of a small park where you can walk around overlooking the ocean. There is a titanic memorial sculpture. Other than that, there isnt much to do.There is a Titanic exhibit as well in Cork but I did not visit.

Free park to memorialize the TitanicBeautiful place but the way to get there was kinda a bit unsafe and unsanitary for us tourists. We had to pass questionable houses and pass thru many dog feces all over the streets. It was disgusting. We were all alone when we visited the place. The memorial was good for photo ops looking at the sea.Visit it with your friends for safety.

Not really a "garden" with botanical flowers per se but more so an open area with a nice memorial area. If you are local and have time to spare, this is a nice place to go to. It is well marked, free and easy to walk to (only about 10-15 min walk, depends how fast you walkfrom the Titanic Museum. If youre a tourist with limited time, skip it. You will not miss much - my posted pictures shows it all.

A beautiful and peaceful place overlooking the last achorage of the Titanic in 1912. The Memorial Garden is set in the former Cove Fort and contains a glass wall commemorating the 123 passengers who boarded the luxury liner in Queenstown. 79 of these perished. The garden is a 15 minute walk from Cobh town centre and is signposted for pedestrians from both the Titanic Experience and the Titanic Memorial.
