Hands-on displays, including dark ride, underwater exploration theatre and re-created decks/cabins.
Very good museum experience, covering not only the sinking of the Titanic, but the local economy and people’s lives at the time of Titanic’s construction, the inquiry after the sinking and the evolution of ocean exploration up to the present day. Well done. There is a cafeteria (which was too crowded when I was therewith hot food, and a coffee shop, where I purchased a vegan wrap and sandwich. Hot drinks available. Gift shop on site. Entrance fee includes being able to board Nomadic, docked nearby.
An experience worth paying for! Cleverly and very thoughtfully designed museum that tells you the story of Titanic from its inception all the way to its fate! Very informative boards, guides and videos. Even the shipyard ride was fantastic! The tour gives a lot of indepth information on Titanic and Olympic, the sister ship which was almost a clone of Titanic itself and two of the three Olympic-class liners built by H&W for White Star Liner.Ample Parking is available on site. The architecture of the main building is stunning!
Thoughtful, full-featured exhibit. Lots of nice touches. Expensive enough, so it’s worth planning to stay for the maximum time. We did not go to the additional ship exhibit as my dad is not very mobile but will do next time!
An excellent day out and would recommend the experience. Knowledgeable and helpful guides throughout the exhibition. However make sure you check the closing time for the Nomadic as it closes early. Probably better to see Nomadic first.
I loved the way they carefully tell the story of the conception, construction and commissioning of the might Titanic. They tell the story with such detail that you tend to forget the second part of the story.Very cleverly, the pride of the the fleet is afloat with all the trappings, and next minute it’s at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean. The story then flips to a detailed analysis of the inquiry into its sinking and its discovery many years later. It’s probably the most cleverly conceived museum I have ever seen.
Another great experience at this attraction. Always find something Ive not seen before. Easy to book, parking under the event is good value for money as well.
Ever since childhood Titanic has been a great source of mystery and intrigue so this is an adventure we were looking forward to.There is lots to do and loads to look at with the building of Titanic and the local area and people , the only down side is there is not so much on the sinking of the ship , it is still part of our history . But overall its a great display and experience.Ive put it down as 4 stars due to people with the headset commentary they walk around in a zombie like daze bumping and bashing into you , just remember people some of us oldies still like to read things .
Fun experience but a bit overpriced for what you get (21.5 pounds), in my opinion anyway. Favorite parts were probably the different class cabins and the video toward the end of the wreckage. The Morse code transcripts around the time of the sinking was also cool, but also pretty sad. We found this site to be very touristy. The architecture inside and out was nice. There apparently is a tour specifically for this for another 8 pounds 🤷♂️
A must see attraction. Just the building structure from the outside is ah eye catcher and the museum is full of stories, pictures and little real set-up of the rooms in different classes and more. This was when entertaining for small kids, as they got a map of finding a little icon (I think it was a boatin each room. That kept them busy. It is absolutely worth the money, you can spend 2-3 hours there.
Has wondered if this was worth it s hyped up reputation. In truth it is expensive at £21.00 per adult but worth it. The six exhibition halls are very well done, the story flows nicely and is presented in various engaging ways. Expect to spend a minimum of two hours there but you could comfortably spend four hours inside the exhibition halls..
You can easily spend the whole day here. Its been very well put together and the ride through the dockyard is particularly well imagined.Personally, Id have liked to have seen more about the art of riveting, where the red hot rivet is thrown up and caught in a small pail before being affixed, which sounds quite hazardous. Also, a more about the discovery of the wreck by Robert Ballard, which is worthy of greater presentation. For me, or as I walked through the exhibits, a sense of sadness began to prevail as the nearer to the tragic end approached, for one knows that the ship was built for hopes, dreams and success and this sadly did not happen, as we all know.
Titanic experience is a good 👍🏼 activity to do in Belfast, is a little bit expensive the ticket 🎟 but it worth the visit. Finally after 9 years in Ireland 🇮🇪 I finally went to see it.I enjoyed, even if we were in a rush because we bought last entrance. I will suggest to buy early entrances so you can enjoy without rushing yourself.Nomadic experience was nice 👌🏼.We paid 21.50 £ pounds per person.
Lovely place to visit in Belfast. The museum is grand and gives so much information on the history of Titanic. You can also take a discovery tour outside the structure if you have less time to spare. The minimum time to explore the museum is around 1.5hrs. There is a locker to keep you luggage, cafe with good food and you can shop Titanic merchandise too. Overall very good experience.
Outstanding experience and totally surpassed my expectations. Beautiful expansive building with so many exhibits. Plenty of food and drink outlets to relax in when your finished. Kids really loved the visit too.
Pretty cool place. We didn’t actually get to go inside the exhibit though. Was sold out on the day we went. Would have really liked to see it but it’s ok.
This is a very busy museum and also very interesting. You will need at least two and a half to three hours to get through it The museum is more than just the Titanics history. One of our favorite attractions was the gondola ride. One note, video is not allowed nor flash cameras however, lots of visitors were taking video on their phones without issue.
Really impressed with the building, the exhibition, the simulator ride. We loved it. My son is still talking about the simulator weeks later. I read some reviews of people who were not impressed but I loved it. Its really experiential. You feel as if you are on board. A friend did the tour and said it was excellent (for grown ups). A grand day out.
Busy all the time, but bear with as plenty to see and experience as you go through. To stand outside in the actual marked out dock of where Titanic was built, looking back on the experience building that is the same height and width as the actual Titanic is awe aspiring. Tip : make sure you visit the Titanic Hotel next door for a historic update, with a drink in the amazing bar…..
Great museum and so much to see - can get very busy so recommend booking in advance! Enjoyed every minute of it! Just busy in the summer months. Pre-book to make sure you get a time slot you want!
Parking is very easy and sits below the exhibit. Well organised from the entrance onwards. Exhibition is a slow start and people tend to bunch up near the entrance. Not really much to be seen until you get to the exhibit ride then things liven up. The last few parts are good and the crowds have thinned so it’s easier to browse and enjoy the discovery. The shop is okay but very over priced.
Went to visit the museum on a Sunday afternoon in their last time slot. The museum is huge and if you are interested in making the most of it, you will need more time and would recommend coming earlier in the day. Well set out, following the timeline of the ship being built to its end. Parking is available on sites for a reasonable fee.
Perfect place to visit sad but history reveals its all.well documented all small things about maiden journey has been revealed. So many artifacts has been preserved. The place is iconic ship shaped glass structure. There is also a documentory show of 15 minutes for the same....
Worth the entry price for the shipyard ride alone. Quite special. It does a great job of telling the story of the Titanic and has enough interaction to keep kids interested. Stunning building too.
Outstanding 🙌An absolute must see when in Ireland. One of the best interpretative tourist attractions in the Country. We went on a Tuesday, and while it was busy, it did not detract from our enjoyment. Plenty of pay parking in the basement. The exhibition is both informative and moving . Leave 2-3 hours to see the full experience properly. Staff friendly and helpful. Im going again ASAP👍
It was a very busy day today. Felt very packed and squashed. If you are worried about catching Covid, I would recommend wearing a mask! The SS Nomadic was definitely worth the browse. Amazing to see the last ship of the White Star Line. The visitor experience itself was quite good, just so much reading so I recommend an audio guide!I was just expecting to see much more exhibits from the wreckage or from survivors. Was expecting a bit more for the money, but it’s great to have something that protrays and keeps the history alive. Needs to be much more interactive.
Must, must, must visit! One of the nicest museums I’ve been to. It’s a unique experience. It was kind of crowded and it was hard to follow the track. And obviously you couldn’t read all the info…For a quicker visit - including SS Nomadic, give yourself 2,3 hFor a longer one, reading all information etc, give yourself 4,5 hAlso, get tickets online!Although it doesn’t help with the crowds… I don’t think the number of people matters too much, which is sad because it kindda ruins the experience.Maybe audio guide also helps if it’s crowded.
Well worth a visit 👍Took us 4 hours to go round , the time flew by.Well put together, great films along the way and experience. The building is like a Tardis.Good value for money 😉🚢
Great experience! So in depth, well organized and immersive! Its a great way to spend half a day learning about the building of titanic in the shipyard, the days of the people involved in it and then go through the reality of what happened... It was a goose-bump experience to hear those voices and to read the last messages sent... The building is actually the size of the front of the Titanic so you can feel the size of that ship!I would highly recommend it. Take your time and enjoy!
One of the best tours Ive experienced. It describes the entire Titanic saga, starting from the rise of Belfast as a growing city, the time when the idea of an Olympic level ship was born, the making of Titanic, the fateful end, and its eventual discovery under the ocean. A must-do if youre in Northern Ireland. Has good food and a good souvenir shop.
The walking tour was outstanding and our tour guide was charismatic and knows! The attention to detail in the design of this building is staggering. The facade and interior are beautiful. There is a cafe and curio shop inside. You can buy tickets there.
Amazing building!I am impressed and highly recommend this tourist attraction. The parking is open 24/7 and it is not expensive at all.The staff is friendly.
Gives you a complete history of Titanic. Beautiful museum, it’s reliving the titanic experience. There are many audio and visual aids. Scenic spot for good pictures. There have preserved some remains from titanic voyage
Tickets aren’t cheap, but you definitely get your moneys worth. This place is expansive and has some pretty interesting things to see/do. We were there for 2.5 hours and still could have spent more time.
Wow!!! So much to learn and see! Cant wait to come back. Couldnt see everything in 3 hours. Need a good 4-5 to see most of it. Fabulous gift shop, great atmosphere and interactive walking tour. Just stunning!
The experience in the building was amazing and done really well, you go from learning about belfast all the way through to the investigation of the sinking of the titanic, I have only given it four stars because I had heard at night there is a lit up outline of the ship, well I went out to look for this but to my disappointment a lot of this had not been looked after and was either not working or damaged, also a lot of the glass panels are smashed and they have not bothered to replace them. They really Need to do some work to improve the slip way area as they have let this slip into disrepair.
Really cool museum, that tells the story of Belfast and the Titanic, located on the actual location where the Titanic was built. Includes the only remaining vessel from the White Star Lines. Cool use of all sorts of multimedia techniques. Definitely worth it.
Titanic museum experience was amazing. I didnt know that kids will enjoy it such. There are plenty of interactive stations and also a big cinema screen that shows underwater footage of capsized Titanic. Car Park had plenty of spaces. £2 for the first hour and £1 for the subsequent hours. Titanic belfast is a must see if you visit Belfast.
The whole Titanic quarter kept us occupied for more than half a day. The museum is engrossing and imaginative. The surrounding dock area is interesting and the nearby tender ship, Nomadic, is really well worth a look. HMS Caroline was not open when we went but shes a beautiful ship and her Jutland history is at least well documented on the information boards.
Great and beautiful unique architecture . Museum is worth a visit and all aspects are covered . Specifically the shipyard ride gives great experience about story of Titanic. Restaurant inside is bit expensive and with limited options with parking for 2 hours 4 pounds. Overall great experience.. for 2 adult tickets 43 pounds...
Super cool sight to see. Very quiet and lovely area, huge museum to see and a few nice sights outside. Lots of information boards all around the outside, a lovely walk around the park, and a beautiful old ship. Free to walk around but the museum does cost money to enter. Good sights outside though, worth a visit if you’re in Belfast for a weekend.
It was a day full of history not only about the Titanic but also about its sister ships. The price for the tickets aren’t expensive. Cafe is also open and food court too. There are many interesting exhibitions. The Grand Staircase unfortunately isn’t open for the public.Walk around Belfast city was amazing. Architecture and many parks to be seen. Plenty of cafes and smaller restaurants with good food and drinks were open till late. I can highly recommend Belfast city to visit.
This exhibition is a must see when you visit Belfast. It tells the story of Belfasts industrial heritage. There are many pictures detailing the different trades, plus, of course, the story of how Harland and Wolfe built the Titanic and her sister ship the Olympic.Youll hear all about how the ships were designed and built, all without the aid of any calculators and computer aided design.Plus the tragic story of the demise of the Titanic. The interactive exhibits are top notch. We especially liked the 360 video recreation of a journey through the decks, and the planning office graphics are equally good.Dont expect to see 100s of original artifacts, but dont let that deter you from visiting. The ticket price sounds pricey, but worth every penny.
May be the best museum I have ever visited. New state of the art galleries that give a full picture of the Titanic from creation all the way to its ultimate fate. It gets very busy so recommend getting there early
I had the impression that I was going to see a replica of the titanic ship. Its definitely not that. Its a museum of the titanic which is in the shape of a cross section of the ship so it doesnt look or feel as though you are on a ship. Despite my initial disappointment it was a thoroughly enjoyable and educational day. Theres so much to read/learn and look at. My mum, husband, sister and children all really enjoyed it.
Absolutely amazing experience, learned a lot from the visit. Gift shop was a little bit overpriced though. Also get the audio tour guide, definitely worth the money, saves you a lot of time.
A fantastic experience, loads to see and do, and admission includes boarding the Nomadic! Really well thought out and exhibits/activities for people of all ages.
Overall enjoyable but were much information on a wall with random accounts of workers, survivors etc. Heavy empathise on the info due to slight lack of artefacts.... overall enjoyable experience though and a good hour or so spent learn more about the culture of Belfast shipyards and the general building of titanic. Over priced cafe and vending machines selling water for £2.
Absolutely brilliant place to visit, we really enjoyed it! Id recommend doing the Discovery Tour first, then the main Exhibition. Also get the audio set, its helpful - though youd be ok without audio too. So much to learn, inside and out. Theres the ship yard, a ride, a deep drop, a cinema screen and a glass floor - all depicting aspects of the Titanic and its amazing creation. Such a state-of-the-art building, the Exhibition is a very creative use of space. Both engineering triumph and deep human tragedy are expressed throughout - including personal accounts. Give yourself a whole day, as there is also the SS Nomadic to explore! Shame not to see the Grand Staircase, but still a five star review. Belfast itself is a beautiful city, highly recommended. Thank you!
Amazing place. Fascinating to hear about the build and the impact on Belfast and its people. Didnt concentrate on the morbid side but celebrated the Amazing build, its people, the successes. Great little ride, 4 levels, Id recommend skipping level one, head straight to level 4 and make the most of it!
What an amazing museum. I was shocked by how good the whole experience was and all the different aspects that made the experience what it was. Really insightful and interesting, fun, interactive and enjoyable. Everything you could ever want from a museum. Staff were really accommodating and friendly both over the phone and on site. Definitely recommend visiting for titanic enthusiasts and those interested in learning about the wonderful city of Belfast. Hope to visit again!
