Looking Park very pretty climate was good there so we can enjoy all and the historical things were keep in the museum of Tipu Sultan
The summer palace is crafted with history of battles in the form of paintings on wall. You can see the armory, dresses used, coins, paintings. It will give you a lot more of history. Clicking personal photos are not allowed but you can click picture of the palace.
I liked the greenary around the palace. But Palace is small with too many painting around. Good to see . I would suggest you to watch Kartik Vlogs youtube channel to get the vibe of this place .The cost to enter is 20 rs . You can see it if you in near by.
Its ideal for history lovers. The entire palace and its surroundings are very mesmerizing to the eyes. For tickets they have a QR code to scan , but it takes time due to the slow internet services there. The tickets cost you Rs 20 per head. Please carry an umbrella since the rains are unpredictable. The museum inside takes you through the life of the Sultan and the downfall of the empire. For more travel details follow me on instagram

Dariya Daulat Bagh or the summer palace built by Tipu Sultan in 1784. Built in Indo Sarcenic architecture it has huge gardens in front. The palace has paintings done during the rule of Tipu Sultan. Located in Srirangapatanam 14 kms from Mysore.
Well maintained musium by archaeological dept and Amezing art work has done in 18th century,
Underrated art Marvel. Also, less crowded. The lawns are maintained so well. The Indian archeological department maintains the place so well without any litter. No words can describe how detailed and colorful the art work is.
Historical place turned into a museum. The gardens are beautiful with huge trees providing shade. Must visit for people who want to get a brush with history of srirangapatna.
Totally mismanaged. There is a newly built ticket counter with cafeteria and drinking water counter but all closed. Washrooms are in mess. Tourism is completely neglected at Srirangapatna.
This is better than the Tippu Sultans summer palace in Bangalore.20 rupees per head entry charge and they have only scan and pay options.A few miles away from this Palace you will find his grave( place where Tippu Sultan found dead).
Beautifully built..but to enter here is one of the hectic job...you have scan and enter your entire data then you will get tickets on your phone...1). You need smart phone. 2). Internet. Aged person or those dont have smartphone or internet face very difficulty.
Tipu Sultan’s summer palace. It also has some preserved artifacts from his time. Surroundings are clean. Palace shows age but is preserved with efforts. You can see paintings on the walls about war with British. There are also paintings of more than hundred kings and others from that time. Photos were not allowed inside.

Simply amazing! The summer palace and the surrounding area is beautiful. The museum contains detailed information about Tippus history, his clothing and anything related to both. Do make time to visit here if you get the chance!
Preety old and well maintained museum the rush is heavy and to be frank the staff (the guidethey are explaining to people who pay which is fine but when normal people go near them they are pushing them away and being rude towards normal people. Their behaviour is also worst only guides and we can take pictures of drawing and art but not family pictures (they saidbut dont they know about photoshop etc. While returning we can taking pictures with tall trees which are present of both sides of entry and exit route. There is also horse riding available near parking for kids its entertaining. The museum is not must watch but if you come till there try to visit so you wont regret later. Srirangapatnam contains 5/6 places which can be seen in 2/3 hours while going to mysore it is very peaceful and each place to veru beautiful and ancient.
Good historical place to visit when in Mysuru. No entry fee.Closes at sharp 5 pm.Outside garden well maintained.
Good place with some story depicted in painting on the walls.Beautiful surroundings,Entry was free, videography is not allowed, you can click pics.
Its unique painting on walls and get to know about little history and portraits of war against British was even more beautiful.
This approx 200 year old historical monument is situated at Srirangapattanam Town of Mysore City. It was earlier used as summer rest house. Design and detailing of this building is truly impressive. It is converted into A museum now. In this museum the furnitures, clothes, coins, swords and guns of Tipu Sultan are on display. Photography inside the museum was strictly prohibited. If you are visiting Mysore and have interest in history then you should definately visit this place.
Informative and refreshing. The valuable place of art and history is kept well preserved. There was a slight issue with booking tickets as it was online only and the site was very faulty. Was a bit of a hassle, and took some time.
If you are a history lover you will definitely love this place . After reaching one need to buy tickets of rs 20 though for child its absolutely free, and one can buy tickets in online mode after reaching there all you need to do that they will give a QR code you need to scan that and after feeling few details there you can get you e tickets . As you enter inside you will find a very large field trust me you will feel great. A museum is there inside the palace .in total its absolutely worth it a must visit place if you are in srirangapatna.
One of the Best palace in whole India. We also took an evening light show event which has a audio support which briefs on the history of mysore, wadiyers and the glory of the palace. Just be careful when you visiting considering the audio version of story narration is in Kannada for few days of the week n English for the weekends. But it is worth a visit
Its one of the must see place in Mysore. We went on a Sunday. It wasnt that much crowded. A spacious free parking space available. Well maintained surroundings and garden. Booking tickets is a real headache. There is a QR code in front of the gate. You need to scan the QR code through Paytm, it will redirect to another website where you need to book tickets. 20rs for ticket. No need to take tickets for kids who are under age 10.
Before you go... Make sure you have an online payment app such as gpay. You will have to book tickets online. I am putting the url if there is a queue you cam skip the line and go to [ asi.payumoney.com ] and pay via UPI.
Must watch place. Well maintained garden area but the monument is getting older day by day. Needs maintainence not sure how long it can be maintained already it was 200 years old.
While Tipu Sultan has been given commeratative medals by british and the title, "Tiger of Mysore"A very little work has been done to protect restore the daria daulat bagh ( summer palace of tipu converted to museum)I urge the govt. To take proper measures to restore and protect Tipus glory.Must visit in srirangapatnam
We can see the well and finely made paintings on the wall and some weapons used by and yeah its very nice place to visit
Must visit place. Just see, read, understand the contribution of Tipu Sultan to the country.More attention required by Archeological Survey of India (ASIto upgrade this historic monument.
A very good place to visit with lot of historical value. Very close to Sri Ranganaths Swamy Temple (which is also a must watch!). They accept only digital payments for the entry tickets. Ample car parking space available.
Tickets should be purchased through online app whose QR code is provided before the entrance gate..Enjoyed👍
This is actually a very small place. Condition of the palace is not very good. Visitors need to buy tickets from ASI portal using online payment. There is no physical ticket available for this place. Wide open space with grass garden only. At many places original color and paintings are either deemed or non-visible. Some of the original furniture, swards and guns are available for display. Very small museum.
Awesome garden and well maintained, archeological team has well preserved the interior of the palace. If you are visiting mysore and love to read history. Best place to visit.
The first thing is you need to scan QR code and pay entry fees online to get in. Lot of senior citizens and others were struggling to get the ticket because of that. Lot of parking space available.Coming to Palace itself, its a very old built structure aroud 1780 but well maintained and converted to museum. The museum has lot of artifacts that tells the story of srirangapatana and how tipu army fought with them. The Palace is surrounded by huge gardens from all sides. Gardens are well maintained.
The ticket should be booked online per person is 20 rupee ,this is the summer palace of tippu .I will also share the qr code through which u can book the tickets and note that there is no ticket counter to book the tickets,so book your tickets through online itself and you need to provide any identification proof like aadhar , driving license ,pan dont give pan card.Per Id 4 members can get entry no need to mention everyones proof.
Its a small place compared to the Mysore Palace but is resplendent with historical architecture and artistry. Not in a very good condition though. Inside its cool, which is why its called the summer palace.
Tipu sultans summer palace is a small structure with mesmerizing Beauty. The place is very well kept and it is safely guarded. There are some artifacts like tipus sword, last worn dress etc.. the loan infront of the palace is good for relaxation if you visit this place on a hot sunny day.

Historic and lovely place. I had spent more times with my family and Relatives . The simplicity of the palace speaks volumes about the times, and the people in charge. This place is reminiscent of the rich heritage, of Mysore and South India under the reign of Tippu Sultan. A must visit place.
We can see some great paintings in this place. Each painting has different character. Place was so cool and peaceful and well maintained . We have to buy a ticket to visit this place . Online payment is available
A historical place where every wall has a story. Recommended to hire any local guide inside. It takes 1-2 hrs to visit the entire place. The tickets can only be booked online, there are no ticket counters at the place. Cost per person is Rs.20
Nice place. Not much to see but has lots of information regarding the history of the place and the king. Enormous lawn area where you can rest during the scorching heat. Highlight is that they use a QR code to scan and book the tickets which is very thoughtful especially during the pandemic
