As I love to explore historic places, this monument is perfect for me. I was dreaming about the time when Tipu Sultan and his people gathered in every inch of this place. ❤️ There you will find the craft of ancient time. This is an awesome place. ❤️

One of the calmest place to visit with family and friends. Ambience here is quite good. Can also say that the best place to click pics for pic lovers. Especially in the Durbar, where theres a lot of wooden work done.

A great place to spend time with family especially in hot season because inside this Tipu Sultan SUMMER PALACE is very cool. Finally, I want to say one thing that it is better if their ticketing process is offline.

This palace is a two storied structure built entirely with wood. The palace boasts of exquisitely carved pillars and rests on a granite base. The upper chamber and balconies could be accessed by four staircases. The upper chamber has a hall with with four rooms and projected balconies. The ground floor houses a museum and displays the antique collections and weapons used in Tipus time. The museum also gives a very detailed description on the Rockets used by Tipu during the war.

Good place to visit if you are an historic person. The palace is surrounded by lots of lush greenery. You need to get the ticket online through a bar code provided at the entrance which is 20 per person and this requires your Id as well. There is nothing much inside the palace. Covered by the green cloth piece. You can skip also if you have seen other good palaces.

Such a beautiful palace 😍Being in Bengaluru city if you wanna know the history of Bendhakalooru then this place is a must visit. If possible communicate with the guide there and learn about the place. When we last visited during Independence day, they happened to show us the lost fountain. You could live in those moments and feel yourself.Recently the palace was renovated with lime stone. The garden and the palace was maintained well.

The garden looking very beautiful.Nearby metro station is also there.Entry fee - 20/-( Should be booked online there only by scanning the code)

Tipu Sultanss Summer Palace, which is located in the heart of the city a very close proximity to KR Market metro station, the entry to the palace the free. You will be entering thru a beautify symmetrical garden which lead to the dharbar / court. Probably the main palace would have been used for some other purpose (School or Grovt. office). We can only see the Dharbar / Court. If you are an Architect, you will like some design aspect of the building. It has a huge covered space probably for people to gather and a viewing gallery above for the King to address the people below. Interestingly, these Dharbar kind of setting are symmetrically design on three side of the façade (North, East & Westand towards the South its plain wall with buttress supports.I have enjoyed the overall absence and design element and architecture of the building and Im completely disappointed by the Preservation efforts to preserve such antique building. The ceiling of the Dharbar was simply painted a dark brown a abysmal way of restoring and preserving anti buildings. later we have found a small pieces where they havent painted, it revealed a nice arts on these wooden columns and ceilings. The wall surface has nice floral design, non of it has been preserved or even tried to preserve them. They have simply painted.A horrible job of restoring, preserving of some accent monuments.

This is a very small palace, i wont recommend you to travel all the way to visit it. If you are nearby, you might want to have a quick view. There are not much artifact or stuff to see inside the Palace. Also, if you are someone who has visited a lot of palaces and forts in your life, you will surely dislike it😀

Tipu Sultans Summer Palace, in Bangalore, India, is an example of Indo-Islamic architecture and was the summer residence of the Mysorean ruler Tipu Sultan. Hyder Ali commenced its construction within the walls of the Bangalore Fort, and it was completed during the reign of Tipu Sultan in 1791

To imagine that this was done more than 200 years ago! The beauty is astounding. Its really really sad that most of the intricate carvings have not been preserved well. The ASI is not taking care of the property well. The visitors still make marks on the walls. I wish there was a way to educate people not to do this.
