Place you should visit once a lifetime.Main attraction of this place is the view mesmerizing its really wonderful place
Tipu sultan drop point, it has nice view when the clouds are not there
One of the historical place
Government covered it with walls and iron cage hence view is not worth it anymore but for historical fact lovers one add on to their list
Decent place ..Must visit site /hill top view is breath taking
Enjoyed a short Weekend trip, unfortunately the entry restricted to 6 am to 6pm
One of my favourite place i will visit again and shoot a song
Tippu Drop is a dangerous spot in entire Nandi Hills. He used to make the Culprits of kingdom to be thrown from top the monolith Nandi Hills Rock.Tippu Drop has its own devastating violence history.
Great place to catch the setting sun
It is believed that the fort walls here were built by the Paleyagars of Chikkaballapura and later strengthened by Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan. It was under the Maratha control for some time. The precipice to the south-west has the name “Tipu’s Drop”, which is believed as the place where prisoners condemned to death were pushed down to the valley below
We walked to Tipus Drop during our trip to Nandi Hills. Unless we reached some other place (Unlikely as the board was quite prominent), Tipus drop was a disappointment. There was practically nothing to see apart from a small area that looked like it used to be a pond which had gone dry. I really enjoyed visiting Nandi Hills but Tipus Drop was nothing to write home about.
One of great place to visit, it so beautiful 😍 please u will be reach before 6.30 am, definitely u will have a enjoyment.... This is the best place weekend... From banglore around 75 km.
Tipus Point Nandi HillsNandi Hills (Anglicised forms include Nandidurg and Nandydoorgis an ancient hill fortress built by Ganga Dynasty and later enlarged and strengthened by Tipu Sultan in southern India, in the Chikkaballapur district of Karnataka state. It is 10 km from Chickballapur town and approximately 60 km from Bengaluru. The hills are near the town Nandi. In traditional belief, the hills are the origin of the Arkavathy river, Ponnaiyar River, Palar River, Papagni River and Penna River. Watching the sunrise at Nandi Hills is popular with tourists. The first ever SAARC summit hosted by India was held at Nandi Hills in 1986.
Best scenic views and serene weather around the hills here. The tipus drop is where king tipu sultan used to push down the prisoners condemned to death which is basically an assassination spot during his time. One should enjoy the views and be careful as the plateau is plain and slippery when it rains.
Awesome place... Morning view
Really great place to visit. Will have a great sunrise and views are excellent. Best time to visit would be sunrise and sunset. Will not suggest to go on rainy day. Bike or car both would be fine. Try to visit on week days weekends are crowdy. Enjoy have fun
Excellent view especially early morning when there is lot of cloud cover and mist. Best to visit during winters....food options are less...so better carry your food if you want to spend a day which is worthy....
Nandi Hills trip will be incomplete without a visit to the popular Tipus Drop, one of the most historic spots around the city. Perched atop a hill at an elevation of 600 m, this is a must visit place offering splendid views of the surrounding hill ranges and the gusts of wind will make you feel that you want to fly. This point also serves as the perfect place to spend some quality leisure time in the arms of nature, away from the busy city life. Don’t forget to take your camera as there is natures bounty to be captured.
One of the best visiting place in Bangalore little bit outcarse but view from top always awesome.
Magnificent and outstanding place with astute beauty and profound glimpses of Natures abode. Lord Shivas natural abode with incredible other living beings!!! Everyone can visit this Magnanimous place with their family, friends and couples and spend their time...Timings are 06:00 am to 06:00 pm....
Visit this place for peace of mind, spend time with nature to breathe really good air. Wind is too good, .the sunset is just too beautiful and the fog in the morning!what else do you expect?
Absolutely breathtaking view from this point. Couldnt ask for a better view anywhere. The clouds abode and the backdrop of the mountains and valley look like heaven.
Nothing much, But good scenery
Tipus Drop is one of the oldest visiting places. It is located on a hilltop on a cliff which lies 600 m above the elevated ground. One gets a beautiful view of all the hill ranges from the hill top. Yoganandeeshwara temple is a shrine which is located on the side of the hill top and was built by the Chola kings. The place is a scenic beauty and is a must-visit for the nature lovers. It gives a sense of peace and satisfaction away from the hustle of the city.Ya this place really nice . You can really visit and explore this place.
The weather there is perfect. Too good place for the nature lovers and once you go there you will love the place. This is in Nandhi Hills. I suggest to go on bike rides to this place.
Weekend getaway from Bangalore. Sunset is awesome from this view point. Make your trip before 6PM coz after that the security guards will block the road.Nandhi Hills & Skandagiri are beautiful places near by.Happy Travelling! :)
Its very nice place for couples, family & friends to hang out and nice views
This is the best place at nandi hills, for better view
Awesome place to visit near bengaluruDont go on weekends there crowd will be more so plan in week days you can refresh your mind...
Its a good place to visit for all scenery lovers. Its located 1km above the ground level with amazing views. We can see the roads from the top which looks like some snakes and also some other mountains which has no pathway. The tipus drop is surfaced with a large hard rock where one can take good photos there. This place has local foods like mangoes sprinkled with chilli powder and other stuff. There is also a temple here.
Tipu drop is located at the top of nandi hills and it is very nice place for family and friends to spend one day trip.tipu drop where tipu was giving panishment as death for mistake people and they suppose to drop from top.your can find verious place on top of the hills
awesome palace but going only morning and evening time.
One of the best place to see whole city below in miniature version
Nandi hills called as tippus summer palace. It depends on which day you go there. If its cloudy weather would be awesome very chilled. If you go in sunny day you can view sunrise but need to be much early. If u go on moderate climates day you can spend some time there anytime the view.
Awesome place. Why travel further when you have such a place nearby.
Such a wonderful place to visit. Gods heaven Nandhi Hills.
In tippus rule who did crime are pushed from here. And if any one attacking the hill he was get to know from there and killed them by firing from there. In the wall they have provided the holes to shoot using guns. And few says its an suicide spot, But its an historical spot. And its clear and cool too. Its a restricted place hence no one leaves you alone or couples or anyone. Since I took permission to see the view and click photo, Hence below are original photos of Tippus drop.
A better place to go on weekends but you will find too much of rush and traffic jams which are of 3-4 kilometre long but you can avoid all these by starting early or starting late around 8-9 am so that by the time you reach there traffic is already clear and don’t forget to lock your helmet with bike as the helmet may go missing and also buying tickets is also a big issue as the lines are too long where you can’t just go and buy ticketsAlso don’t forget to take a good camera as you don’t want to miss to upload pics on social networking sites
Those were No Selfie days :), Now too much rush, inorganic waste, arrogant people. It doesnt look like the same place. People are using it as it is their Dustbin-felt very bad :( . Any ways time passed so do we..... :)
very beautiful scenery view from this point at the same time even scary to watch the deadly steep fall. if u reach this place at around 6-7 AM this place is wonderful to look. u can see the clouds hitting the mountain
The journey is amazing. And the place is fabulous. The views, the ambience, the clouds; everything is so serene about this place. Although crowdy during weekends.
Awesome place to be on a week end. With family or friends or even lovers, the scenary will be even better if u go in rainy season
Nice place to spend a day with family or friends. You get a nice view of surrounding hills and greenery.
Awesome view from the top. Try to visit during the sun rise or the sun set.
