Tino's Drive-In in Medicine Hat

A Medicine Hat landmark. Simple drive-thru set-up (no indoor seating). Delicious burgers and more varieties of milkshakes than you can imagine. Im going back to try the German Chocolate Cake and Habanero Lime flavours, to name just a few. Staff was friendly. Takes a little longer than a fast-food drive-thru, but its absolutely worth the few extra minutes.

I ate the best burger I have ever had here. I’m a ketchup fanatic and will dip all burgers in ketchup and this is the first one where I didn’t even want additional condiments. I also had an “i don’t know” milk shake which I’m going to guess was huckleberry. Note that there is no inside, you can eat outside or in your vehicle. Items are cooked fresh and wait times is -about 10 minutes. Unfortunatly I was just driving through but this burger will be heavy on my mind for months to come

This place has been open for 50 years, and i see it going on for 50 more. Family owned.

First timer visit and the three of us agree that it was "okay" but nothing spectacular. Burger patties are frozen and nothing special. Fries were crisp, but not unique. Shakes were thin and had little flavor. Id try something else in the Hat next time as there was nothing so great here that "we just have to go back".Im sure local tradition is keeping them alive moreso than food experience.

We have been eating at Tinos for about 50 years. The quality of there food is always amazing and no other burger place can compare. Chilly chips and deep fried mushrooms are definitely a favorite of ours

Best milkshakes are located right here! They have really juicy burgers and are amazing! Many different ice cream and milkshake flavours! Really good place!

Classic drive thru good eats n treats

Ordered one veggie burger and waffle fries. Took 23 minutes when there were only 3-4 people ahead of me. Veggie burger was good and interesting - clearly homemade. Waffle fries were ok but Carls Jr’s are better.

Very expensive, mediocre food, and the wait is very very long. The milkshakes were the only thing that were good unfortunately, but not worth the price tag.

Burger was good, pineapple mango milkshake was good, staff was friendly. Would recommend.

Do you like unique do you like lotsa!! Do you like local family run reasonable prices !? Then you have to check out tinos !! Umpteen flavors of shakes milkshakes and ice cream treats and massive burgers I ordered the king burger and Im a major hogger and I could barely finish it !! Same money as the big guys but way better

I must have ordered the wrong thing, the chili Chips is not chili its more like a super sweet sloppy Joe mix and not very good.The mushroom sauce is not great but ok, disappointed they use canned mushrooms. The meat patty was good..My wife asked if the mushroom sauce had dairy in it, was told "it has butter or margarine in it, is that dairy? It has never bothered anyone else."There was no way that sauce was homemade.Didnt try the shakes or other drinks.Wont be trying it again.. do not recommend.

1 star.Terrible service, Ive waited half an hour in the sun. They do not take their customers well being. Overpriced as hell too. Mayne yall should go to mcdonals. Cheaper, tastier, and more nutrients 👆🏿👆🏿✊🏿 dont recommned

Their burgers are soooo thin - mostly bun and condiments - I dont know how people can rave about them! Fries are right out of the freezer bag! Very disappointing!

I am from the Hat,grew up enjoying this food,I visit this place everytime I am back in town. Cannot get this great tasting food anywhere else in the World. Just Awesome!

When rolling through Medicine Hat you have to stop by Tinos if you love handmade burgers! They take a little time to prepare, but quality usually does. Grab a shake too, soooo many flavors to choose from! They have been around for over 50 years, and theres a reason for that.

Customer service was good, food was good as well. Chicken burger and the loaded burger were juicy and delicious! Chicken burger lacked a bit of condiments. Onion rings were fresh and crispy! Overall a very pleasant experience for a small independent foodservice!

Ive been hearing all good stuffs about Tinos after few months since I moved here in Medicine Hat. And finally for the first time Ive tried their foods and milkshakes! Oh my ggggggg!!! Sooo goood!!! Plus the cashier or staff who helped me was approachable and smiling at me while taking my orders so they deserved a good tips.I only gave 4 because of the waiting time. But understandable because I heard that this place is always busy.

Do not recommend this place at all. The only good thing was a milk shake. We thought because it was very busy, it must be good… but the food was horrible and that is being nice.

Burgers are deadly. Chicken burger is sketchy, and the slushes are life. Mac bites and pickle chips are my forever favourite food.

The prices were not worth the food quality. Fries were the store-bought crinkle cut type, served in a small box. The mushroom gravy was a little too tomato-ey/sweet for me, and the hotdog sausage was dried out. Also takes longer to wait for food. Some good things: there is a nice wide selection of shakes, which is really cool. Also kudos for the friendly staff!

Love this place, no trip through the Hat is complete without a mushroom burger, curly fries and a root beer shake. Great classic drive through food, done very well. Just, dont expect it to be a fast trip, takes a few minutes longer than McDonalds, but its worth it.

Since 1967 you can visit this Magical Castle where the Hamburger is King and you can drive-in or walk-up to experience an iconic historical hamburger stand serving the epitomy of classic drive inn meals and fantastic ice cream. Great staff, great selection, great value, great food and a great experience for 54 years and counting. A Canadian Treasure.

Long waiting times, burger patties seam to be getting smaller and smaller. But pricing seems to be going up and up? It just isnt what it used to be... what a shame how such a good thing has gone so far downhill. Shakes are still good. Maybe the owners should take a trip to a Five Guys for some portioning/menu examples...😐 I am not going to be back.

Tinos has been a great place since we were kids! Stopped by on our way out of town and the burgers and shakes are still fantastic. Always a bit of a wait but they consistently deliver :)

The food is great! To bad the service there isnt...... pricey but that seems to be like that anywhere, as a kid I seem to remember a Tinos special was a huge burger to eat, Ive noticed that the hamburger patty is really thin if it wasnt for the fact of the ham slice they have inside the hamburger bun theres nothing left but the bun Come on Tinos!!!

What a gem...with the exception of customer service, this place was really cool! However, the general vibe of the team members was off putting.Lots of milkshake flavours, made with fresh soft serve and the option to add malt. Love this! I would recommend visiting Tino’s but don’t expect the warmest welcome.We wanted to leave a tip and waited patiently in line at the cash for $10 minutes, however nobody would make eye contact or acknowledge us so we could do so.

This is my brothers favourite take out place to eat. We have never been disapointed in the burgers and chili chips. Absolutly love their milk shakes, thick and flavourful. We always phone and order ahead of time and our order is always ready to pick up when we arrive. Highly recommended.

Stopped here on the way out of town for lunch on a sunny April day. It was quite busy at lunch time and our food took a while to be ready, but it was worth it! The Tino’s Special burger with ham was great and was huge! We had the combo side plate, which was an assortment of fried veggies and other things. The milkshake list is crazy long! I opted for the chocolate almond roca, which was delicious. This place is your classic 1950s burger and shake place and is a great place to stop for a bite!

Good burgers. Awesome selection for cold drinks, milkshakes (with malt!slushies, Sundays and all sorts of good fries and deep fried goodness. Local joint, no big corporate overloads here. Slower service, but they were really busy and it came across as better food too!

One of my customers told me about this place. Wish he would have told me sooner! The staff was friendly and my burger was excellent! I got Tinos special and will every Thursday for the foreseeable future!

Tinos is what you get when you combine food you like growing up with food that never changes, it is one of a kind. Would I recommend it to someone that has never eaten it before - of course not, but when you are craving it there is nothing better. Double cheese plain and chips with gravy - put the gravy covered fries on the burger - best meal ever.
