Tin Roof Tacos - Taco restaurant in Boise, United States
Food is yummy here, tacos are very good, and reasonably priced, chips are delish, guac and salsa satisfying.
Tacos are good! Remember this are like street tacos. The sauces to put in the tacos makes them better, the tomatillo and habanero one!!!
I really dont understand why everyone likes these tacos so much. Ive been multiple times and its always mediocre at best. The breakfast tacos are decent but I really wouldnt recommend anything else. For a place that specializes in tacos, the product is just disappointing. However, the staff is always pleasant and its a good atmosphere.
SOOOOO GOOD!! AND I MEAN TO BAD U CANT RATE MORE THEN 5 STARS BECAUSE IT WOULD BE A 10! GREAT SERVICE WONDERFUL PEOPLE GREAT VIBE AND SO MUCH VARIETY ❤️ YOU CAN NOT GO WRONG WITH TIN ROOF TACOS!!! OH BTW THE PRICE OUT BEATS EVERYONE AND ITS SOOOOOOO GOOOD! THANK U @ TIN ROOF TACOS
I can eat a lot. Yet 2 shrimp tacos is enough to fill me up. They are super fast and the food is sooooo good. Also, it is great to get away with lunch under $10.
We ordered Tin Roof Tacos for a big work event. They were very good but many of them couldnt hold up for a couple hours. The ones with corn tortillas tended to fall apart but overall they tasted great and everyone enjoyed them. They also forgot our large guacamole order and delivered it to our office later on that day but we were out at the park having our event. Five stars for sure if you are dining in!
Yummy tacos. They were busy. But service was quick.
Great spot for cheap, delicious tacos & nice staff ☺️ Thanks tin roof!
Nothing special but nothing bad. The staff just took our order and dismissed us. The dining area was dirty and we had to clean a table off so we could sit down. There was stock stacked all over the entryway even though it wasnt busy and there were employees standing around talking. No napkins or sauces were out, we had to ask and the drink area was a disaster.
Delicious tacos! Fresh, with great authentic flavors and ingredients. Inexpensive and easy to grab for a quick tasty lunch or dinner😋
Tacos are good but the water from the soda fountain tastes disgusting. It tastes like some type of cleaning agent. I got 3 different cups of water, but it all tasted the same. Something that definitely needs to be looked into.
A Boise favorite amongst the college students and suit coats alike. Inexpensive, delicious food complimented with amazing service. I dare you to find a better bang for your buck.
Really good street tacos for a really good value. Definitely try the Baja Shrimp and the Fried Chicken tacos. Those are my go-to!
The black bean tacos are very delicious! I’d pass on the mushroom taco. I’d come again! Very great pricing.
I usually eat here when I come to Boise. This time it wa not busy but the food did not taste the same as usual. The tortillas were raw. The veggie tacos only had onions. Maybe it was an off night.
Great tacos a lot of options. All tacos are small street taco sized tacos so 2-3 are a good size for dinner and you can pick the same tacos or a couple different ones. Great if you are looking for options everyone will like. Order online too!
Pretty much a good place to get little tacos fast. They have a lot of interesting different options. Whenever I’ve had their beef though, the grease just runs off of it and gives me some major stomach aches. I really like their breakfast tacos that are available throughout the day.
Sub par tacos. Sauces were not odd. Food was room temp. Tortillas not really appetizing.2 star - Not great, lower value
Like their habanero sauce, this place was on FIRE! Tried three of their street tacos, each was unique and good. I especially enjoyed the fried chicken breast taco with that yummy tongue searing hot habanero hot sauce they have. Use in moderation, or you might suffer the next day!Bonus, the chips and salsa were good too. The salsa is great for sharing (no big chunks to worry aboutand they give you enough to dip each chip in and still have some leftover when the chips are all gone. This is a good spot to stop in if you are craving good and quick street tacos in a sit-down brick & mortar environment. Inside and outside seating is available. Just make sure to grab a drink if you are going to try out their hot sauces. Youll need it.
For the price, these tacos are legit! Sauces range from spicy to not so spicy, but all are tasty. Not sure what else to add. Whenever my wife and I visit Boise we ALWAYS visit this place for lunch/dinner, because they have the best tacos (for the pricein town. A must try!Vegetarian friendly too (according to my wife).
Spendy tacos place. Flavors are good but quantity/quality of meat is average for the price paid.Sauces are good...Prefer the authentic taco places in other nearby areas
Super cute place, staff seemed like they weren’t unhappy to be there (hard to find nowadaysand the tacos were amazing.
Best tacos in town, breakfast tacos rock! Watch out for an old woman with long hair dyed black and a big butt she tried to steal my tacos and drive away in a black bmw!
Great food and served fast. They are not scared to do spicy and its so well done.
This location is starting to get annoying this is the third time we ordered a chicken quesadilla and no chicken…really guys!!! You know us customers don’t need to feel like we have to open the foil on each food item we order to make sure it’s correct. I feel like this location is starting to get lazy and lack… for how high just ordering take out food is, it’s ridiculous that nobody can’t even get our order right. It’s just getting ridiculous that you have to feel going into the weekend you just want to order something and enjoy it can’t even do that when our order is all wrong like come on.
Always fast, always delicious, always a good deal. As quick as a drive through if you want to eat at home, or really fun with friends inside or on the patio.
even for white people tacos, its not good. The hype astounds me because the goods are absent. Flavorless atmosphere but I cant complain about the queso.
There tacos are pretty good! They have messed up my order once or twice but I really like this place. It usually has a long line to order.
We ate here on Friday, 5/20. It was my wife, me, and one of our kids. We all agreed the tacos were good but not anything to get too excited about. Their menu has awesome variety but Id say Ive had tacos just as good or better from various taco trucks and hole in the wall restaurants. We had a variety of tacos including the Tin Roof, Chicken Fajita, BBQ Brisket, and the Texican. Id go back again to try more items from the menu to see if I could find a favorite here.On another note, we also got an order of chips and salsa. The salsa was great. Service here was fast and friendly. While the flavors didnt wow us, the quality and freshness of the ingredients were good.
I come here at least once a week. All of the tacos are good although I do have my favorites. The atmosphere is nice, the food not only is really good, but is made very fast. The employees are all very nice. I legitimately have no complaints about this place except for the boxes that are always there when you walk in. Highly recommend if you are looking for a quick bite, try to time your visit correctly though because it can be very busy with long lines at times.
Great experience. Friday evening, long but fast moving line. Very reasonable prices. Great tacos, cold beer. Always on a hunt for good tacos in Boise, and Tim Roof delivered. Will be back here for more tacos.
Tin Roof Tacos were delicious. I highly recommend them if youre craving tacos. Great pricing, but even better flavor.
Exactly tacos for under $3 each (think it was 2.75). Very good and a wide array of options.Chips with options of salsa, queso, guacamole $2-4.
There are many different choices . Personal opinion is the seasoning is a little bit boring. Most of the flavor is salty. Don’t have many other flavor like sour or sweat. However the chips amount is lot and can be satisfied
Service is very quick, friendly and helpful! I ordered 16 tacos with chips, salsa and queso and I wasnt waiting more than 6 minutes before it was ready to go! Food is always delicious!
We ordered 60 tacos and some dip for a little celebration. We placed the order a couple days in advance (they request 3days in advance). They were able to carry out the order with no problem. I actually arrived about 20min early and nothing was ready yet; however, they had the order ready in a little over 10minutes! Service was good and they were friendly. Tacos tasted good too. We ordered every taco option they had on the menu. Our favorite were the fried chicken and the shrimp. Definitely want to go and eat them fresh in the restaurant. The tacos were quite small though.
Tin Roof Tacos is AMAZING!!! Not only do they have AMAZING food, their STAFF ROCK as well. I had a big breakfast meeting and they came through in a pinch. The team was able to accommodate my large order aside from being busy , just so that they could help me shine for this project. Many Thanks to the team at the boise Tin Roof team. Thanks I crushed my presentation along with providing BOMB breakfast tacos !!!
Amazing tacos. Great meat ratio. Unique seasoning. Looked and tasted fresh. Bit of a wait but it is a popular high quality place worth the 15 minutes for food preparation. Highly recommend this place. They also did a good job at our company event.
Wow! Totally delicious tacos ... We each got 3 beef tacos .. ground beef and potatoes, brisket and onions, the Texan is the best .... ground beef, salsa, lettuce ... very delicious!Another time and another excellent experience! Where else can you eat something delicious and inexpensive ...Yet another visit, and as always the food and service is exceptional! Great place
We stopped in at the Tin Roof Tacos. It was our first visit. The tacos were just okay but, when we went up to get our food, wow it was so dirty. I looked back toward the kitchen and it was the same thing. Food and chips all over the floors. Im thinking maybe they just dont have the staff to clean as they go. Im pretty sure we wont be coming back.
The food and staff are high quality, however it’s time to ditch the styrofoam containers and plastic beer cup. Not a good look for anyone that gives a dang about our planet. 5 stars next time if better alternatives are used ;)
BEST TACOS EVER. Favorite was the #6...we went three times while we stayed in Boise. So tasty and so fast!
The fried fish and the Mexican Coke was my favorite part of this meal. The tortilla was cold and hardThe green salsa didn’t have much flavorThe brisket was dry.All in all, I’d try somewhere else for tacos
A great place for street tacos. Many different types of tacos available. They also offer alcohol. We sampled the fish (both fried and grilled), corn, veggie, shrimp and potato tacos. The fried fish was way better than grilled (too fishy).Chips and salsa is only $1 but a good size. The salsa is good, just not spicy. Also, for the size of the tacos, they’re at a fab price!
What a gem! This place is a fast, upbeat, fun and unique environment. Every taco Ive had has been a creative delicious combo. Really enjoyed the different beers they have on tap and how professional and friendly the staff is!
Best hipster tacos I’ve ever had. Quick service great crispy chips and salsa. Tacos were AMAZING. And a nice outside area with heaters and fire place.
This place is awesome!!! Love the variety of tacos and the price and the atmosphere. I would highly recommend Baja shrimp taco or fried chicken taco!!
The place was packed. Which is not a bad thing. Great atmosphere and they have their line down to a science. Between warming the tortillas and making the tacos everybody is contributing and the orders come out quickly. I would have loved to give this a five-star however the beef brisket was just too dry and very hard to chew. Otherwise the pulled pork and shrimp taco were delicious. The place is very reasonably priced as well. 3 tacos and chips and salsa for under $10.
Fast and friendly service, got my special order correct. I tried a fried chicken and lime taco, hold the coleslaw! Theyve got a nice variety of tacos to choose from. Restaurant was clean. Outside theres a fire to sit next to and visit with friends while enjoying your lunch. Super close and convenient to St Lukes hospital downtown.
Had the Texas tacos and they were very good. Didnt wait too long. Actually got them within a few minutes after ordering.
