Tin Lizzy's Cantina - Tex-Mex restaurant in Marietta, United States
Every time I go to Tin Lizzy’s I have a great experience! Tyree had the best attitude and customer service while serving me at the bar. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and especially the drinks! I’ll definitely be back for more quesadillas
rachel is an amazing bartender and i will continue to come back just for her! she is the absolute sweetest and provided excellent service! she’s an amazing addition to the tin lizzys crew
Great place to go to just chill. Rachel is the absolute best bartender. Did not try the food...yet. Will definitely be back though.
The food was ok. Could have been hotter and they, oddly, brought my meal out 10 minutes before my wife’s. But the place is so uncomfortable. Booths have no seat padding and chairs are small, metal, with no cushions. Couldn’t wait to leave. On edit: got a to go order which they, of course, got wrong even after having the server read it back to me.
Love coming to eat and drink here! Service is always outstanding and the food never lets me down. My favorite bartender, Rachel, is always taking care of me and she works very hard. Drinks are always on point and the overall atmosphere is great.
The food was good but paid extra for beyond meat and had a gard time finding it in the taco salad. I was disappointed.
Great food, fun vibe and fantastic service for our work dinner. Shout out to Shiyan and Alyssa!! Will def return.
Ive found the food is always well-prepared and tasty. Ive tried a number of soft taco dishes and the enchiladas and can recommend them. The chips and salsa dip, which they charge for, unlike most restaurants that provide them complimentary, are also quite good.Recommended.
Our waitress was very attentive and I just loved the Korean BBQ tacos.
Came here for lunch on a beautiful Friday. Our waiter was great. We ordered beers on draft (delishand 4 tacos. We also ordered a salad and rice beans. All the food was great. My favorite was the Korean BBQ pork taco. We sat out in the patio.
This is a great place for a quick lunch or a casual dinner. The tacos are great and I would highly recommend the queso to start with as well.
I hadnt been to this location in a while. After a hiatus, I must say the experience was phenomenal. Audrey was on the bar. Her service was impeccable. Patrick MOD on duty checked in to make sure I enjoyed my experience. If you havent been here I highly recommend that you come!
The tacos were delicious! Bartender Kim is awesome, shes knowledgeable, helpful, welcoming and hysterical! Shell make you feel like family (all of the staff does), give you great suggestions and have you looking forward to your next visit here!
Food was good. Normally we really enjoy watching the games. Service today was only alright today. Still a good place to go and enjoy a reasonably priced meal.
Food was just okay at best. It was presented well but it the flavors just dont match up and the prices arent the best.Drink was fantastic but small.Restaurant was ok but not worth returning.
Its okay. One time we go there and get great service and the food is wonderful, while this last time.... Im not sure I would return. Some servers just do not care. Such a bummer because it ruins it for everyone.
I used to love coming here before the pandemic but I guess they changed their menu recently and it seems that everything is spicy now. I expect some spice when going to a place like this, but there used to be options that we could order that was still tasty without being spicy. Everyone is great. The service is fantastic and quick. Its got a great atmosphere. Im just not going to be able to eat there anymore.
I truly love this place! The staff is always so friendly. I will say I wish the drinks were stronger, but nothing an extra shot won’t fix. The bathrooms are always well maintained and the wait time is usually minimal. I love the Buffalo shrimp appetizer. They have so many taco variations that I tend to get a new one upon each visit. My personal favorites would be the Korean bbq, the impossible burger on a lettuce wrap and the mahi mahi taco. The chips and guacamole are also worth a try.
Ran poorly. Cannot recommend. My wife and I were seated immediately right near the host receiving area. We were not approached by any waitstaff for drink or food orders. I observed four employees for several minutes hang out at the host receiving area with no idea who our actual waiter was supposed to be. We decided to go elsewhere after waiting 15 to 20 minutes and no they were not very busy. When we departed the host area employees did not ask us why, but instead one accused us of leaving without paying while another knew why and countered that we were not even served drinks! We were in town for a conference. Should we return we will follow up the with manager as responded by below for an opportunity for an improved visit.
I had a blast today at this location. The fried jalapeños were delicious. The fried chicken taco, hamburger taco was also good. Kim the bartender was a sweetheart and made my day with her kindness. Gotta get back here. Love this spot !!!!!
love the patio. a bunch of tanning lizards just hanging out at tin lizzys. seth was great also. get the buffalo shrimp you wont regret it
Seth was a great server! The bloody Mary’s were amazing. 10/10 experience all around !
My bf and I came here on a random Wednesday evening and we were greeted by a waitress in a taco costume! It was so awesome to see someone commit to their job. We also had a wonderful bartender, her name is Kim and she’s awesome. Mrs. Tacos real name is KAT and she is a hoot and a half !!!
Kayla was me and my friend’s server and she was absolutely AMAZING! Gave us a free app and a free drink because she heard I was getting married.
This location has the worst service and I’ve made it known to staff multiple times. My wife and I came in a month ago and sat waiting for 1 1/2 hours for 6 tacos. I came back tonight and waited 30 minutes without a single server even bringing me water. The place was dead as well and servers were just standing around on their phone. Because this is a reoccurring issue, I felt like it needed to be known. Good luck this this location.
Every time I come Kay is an amazing bar tender!!! My drinks are on point, she’s attentive, and super sweet! She’s always a great time!!!
SYD & Jessie was AMAZING ! SYD was definitely upbeat and courteous and ATTENTIVE! Jessie continued to check on us during our visit and make sure all of our needs were MET! Thank you ladies because we will be back to revisit!
I went on weekday afternoon and sat at the outside bar. I never ever leave reviews but the bartender K was just a delight. So positive and bubbly. My husband and I enjoyed our visit better than ever before. We have visited plenty throughout the years and she managed to change our entire perception on dining out. Thank you for putting in the work and giving us what the East Cobb Neighborhood deserves with your new staff..
Kayonna behind the bar on a weekday lunch shift, is so amazing, great service , she suggested the executive taco and the thin lizzy margarita.. … OMGOODNESS SO GOOD!! Jessie was the manager on duty and made our experience even better ! I highly recommend this restaurant!!
We had dinner with family. Pleasant atmosphere live band was great and waitress was very nice. Only thing this manager kept coming by to check on us. He had corny jokes really loud and annoying. Otherwise we enjoyed ourselves.
Its my fault; I should have known better. I wanted to avoid the crowd at Ceviche in Roswell since today was Cinco De Mayo, but after the experience at this place, I should have sucked it up and followed my gut.Lets start with the pros.- The staff: They were friendly, yes they left us hanging for long bouts of time, but it could have been due to training? Case in point, a group near our table waited for their food for over an hour.- The restaurant - the restaurant itself was impressive, great location, and the layout of seats and bar was enjoyable. Sidenote: the chairs outside suck. Now for the cons- Everything else. Im seriously not trying to bash, but this business is a lost cause. The food isnt remotely close to Mexican-style cuisine. The lack of flavors for their tacos and all other food makes you want to play it safe and order nachos - which we did.- The wait times during the waitress spot check for the outside were long. If they are short-staffed, close some of the seating areas to serve all clients in the best way possible. But instead, this business was OK with providing subpar services to all clients. The list of why you should spend your money elsewhere is long. So Ill leave you with this - save your money and time.
Great outdoor space. Top notch Custom service. My entree was prepared incorrectly. It wasnt the waitress fault. The manager comped my meal and provided extra chips and queso. Thats a win in my book, since everyone loves their seasoned chips. Blood orange margarita was delish.
Saturday was my first time experiencing Tin Lizzys Cantina and it was one to remember! The environment was so welcoming! Audrey was the bartender her service was awesome and so was the drinks! Its definitely a vibe here.
Food was great! My server was horrible, kept addressing me as girl. Never came around to ask if I needed anything and disappeared when it was time for me to pay. He actually locked the receipt so no one else could check me out.
This place was awesome. Very clean, staff very nice, patience, funny and helpful. The food was outstanding. Everything we ordered was super good. High recommend
While nothing huge went wrong to impact my experience here, it was a ton of minor things that added up to a pretty annoying meal.First of all, we waited so long to see our waitress after being seated that we almost decided to leave. They are understaffed, which I am really understanding of, but Im not exaggerating when I say we were seated for probably 15 or 20 minutes before the waitress even said she would be with us soon. When she did come back, we were told we couldnt order any carbonated drinks or margaritas. Maybe the machines were broken? Not sure. But this isnt the waitresss fault, no big deal, right? Except by the time we got our drinks and chips, wed been here anywhere between 40 and 50 minutes without even being asked for our food order. When my food was finally served, not only did they NOT do the modification I had asked (I ordered a salad and requested one thing left outbut they didnt even serve it with any dressing. Which, you can imagine by my experience so far, took another 5 to 10 minutes to receive my side of dressing. I think, after all the waiting, if they had got my order correct I probably wouldnt have even been upset, but after everything else I was pretty exasperated.Ultimately I understand that theyre understaffed and nothing was specifically the waitresss fault, but I really feel that even 2 stars is generous. I still tipped, I was still patient with the waitress, but it was overall kind of a negative experience.
Kids eat FREE Wednesday! Great place to take the family for delicious food. Check their menu online ahead of time to see the happy hour schedule & daily deals. I ordered their Cowboy skillet meal! Our server Will was great very attentive too. Weve not had bad service here.
Mediocre at best. I didnt research prior to going. Was shopping int he area and decided to grab a quick dinner. Didnt realize it was Tex-Mex. Menu is mainly just tacos of every various flavor. Would be okay if they did them well. Ordered Nachos appetizer, the Big Greek taco, Korean BBQ. The Nachos were awful -- the taste of the ground beef was way off -- not Tex Mex, not anything -- just a weird seasoning. There was hardly any cheese melted on the nachos. The Big Greek taco came with gyro meat that are the ones purchased frozen from restaurant supply store that come in thin slices that you would just pan fry. If thats the case, why did you have to precook the gyro meat hours in advance. It came cold, dried and a sickly brown color. The Korean BBQ was the only one that was okay -- tender meat but heavy on the sweet side without any real depth in flavor. Neither one of was were able to choke down our tacos or the nachos. Will not be back.
Food was very good. The hot mess skillet is so flavorful. Resteraunt was clean inside and outside. We sat outside so the service was a bit slower but worth the wait.
I came here on a Friday night (6pmand there was no wait for a table outside. I ordered 4 tacos on corn tortillas. I got them all on corn tortillas - they don’t have the hard shell corn tortillas which I prefer, but it was still good. I got the Korean BBQ with shrimp, the Low Country Boil, the Kale and Mushroom, and the Fried Chicken taco. They were all very good. I gave them four stars because I wanted some tortilla chips and salsa like you get for free at most taquerias but I guess they don’t serve those. I did like that they had a guy play the guitar and sing on the patio where I was sitting. He was pretty good!
Ate here during lunch and absolutely enjoyed it. There was no wait for seating and our server was with us within minutes. She was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items. She suggested some chicken tacos and the Cowboy skillet which were both delicious. The queso, avocado and salsa also tasted fresh and authentic. I enjoyed everything here and if I lived in Atlanta I would definitely make this a regular stop.
"Taco Tuesday" @ Tin Lizzy Marietta, East Cobb, Great food, service, atmosphere and fun!!!
Come here often, but they are rolling out new cocktails on the 31st and I got to try the Sunset Vinyl - let me tell you how good and refreshing it is! It’s a margarita but with cucumber in it so it’s not sweet, jalapeño tequila but not spicy, with a Himalayan salt rim. It’s is fantastic, but dangerous in a great way! 10/10 for a mixed drink!!
Good food and good service. The atmosphere was fun. I tried a selection of tacos and a blue moon. The food was great. The staff checked frequently if anything else was needed.
Their food was good. I had steak tacos with queso. We were a large group and did not fit in a booth and the chairs were the most uncomfortable chairs that I ever did sit in. They are narrow and slippery. You tend to slide out of them. When I go again, I will make sure my group is small enough to fit in a booth.
This was our first visit to a Tin Lizzys. The food was delicious. I got a margarita - Good! Service was good! Weve added Tin Lizzys to our "Will Visit Again" list! Thanks for a great experience.
I went to this place after lunch timings. Not many people were there. The atmosphere and service were pretty good. But the food was just meh. I ordered the quesadilla and it was just alright. Didn’t have much flavor. Maybe it was just one time. I would give it another shot and edit the review if the food is better. Stay tuned!
Tawni was our waiter and she was awesome. We sat at the bar. She was very energetic, kind, and fun. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. Food and drinks were good.
While the food here is called Tex-Mex, youll find some quite interesting takes on what you might call a taco. You will find among the choices things like a Southern inspired taco with deep fried pickles, a buffalo chicken taco or even an "executive" that features steak, blue cheese and lettuce. The food is tasty, running in the direction of bar food that had been re-cast in the direction of Mexican food. Its a fun place with a large bar and a good size patio. On a nice day, the patio is a great place to grab some grub and soak up a little sun.
I love this place! Great service, awesome drinks, and the food was amazing!! These guys are serious about keeping their guests happy. I will be coming back for more tacos and drinks. Malu and Jake were great hosts and they should be rewarded justly.
