Its a fun place to take your kids or even go with a group of friends but the drinks from the bar were extremely weak and watered down. Couldnt taste any alcohol at all in any of them. Also the prize room definitely needs a better selection of goodies.
Great place to take kiddos for some arcade fun and bowling, you can grab some food and a Frap or see a movie, super fun place to hang out!!
Theater 7 was quite... cozy. The movie wasnt expected to be a big draw, apparently. Theres actually a conference room here, so if you have a need, call them and check on accommodations.
I love this place. The bathrooms were clean! Bowling is toddler friendly! The arcade games are toddler friendly. Definitely worth the time. Highly recommend.
very upset with their new no glasses of water policy.have to spend money on bottled water now. They claim to be doing it to shortage of staff. Put a water cooler nearby and make the customers refill the cup themselves. But someone thought it was smart and banned water that wasnt being sold. It comes off as a really money hungry and unnecessary. On top of it this establishment sells alcohol but only provides a single water fountain.
Loads of fun for low cost. Did Lazer tag, rope course, and Hologate VR. Pizza and coffee bar delicious! Will definitely do bowling there next time
My kids always have a great time here, and they serve tasty adult beverages. Its loud and full of energy, especially on the weekends. The bowling lanes are nice. The food is good. I enjoy myself each time I come here. The movie theater staff is always super sweet.
Very fun place. Great staff. Good experience. The only reason I dont rate it higher though is because the arcade area is too small. I have to constantly wait around just to play a game.
LOVED the VIP lanes. Enough room for friends who arent playing to enjoy apps, drinks and conversations while practicing for a first time league play. So much FUN!!!
Super clean and fun. Bowling alley is clean and amazing. Manager even came by a few times to check in. Its Tylers version of Dave and Busters!
While bowling was fun, the waitress was rude. Teresa R, implied several times that my friends & I could not afford things. She made a $12 drink seem extremely expensive when being asked about drink recommendations. She also made a point to tell me before giving me my ticket that water is not normally free and that next time I come I should not expect it free. I never asked her for a free water at all. I asked for a water, she could have charged me for it if that’s her job. Who am I to argue her down about it? She needs extra training on customer service. It’s not your job to suggest cheaper items to a customer or to make comments implying they can’t afford something as little as $12. Next time I go I hope she’s not given to me as a server!
I understand that unexpected things happen; sat down for a movie that was supposed to start at 3:15 we arrived at 3:17 and there were no previews playing we waited until the 3:35 before I went to the counter to ask somebody to start the movie.Other than this one negative experience, all the other times Ive came here it was amazing!I hope that this is not a trend.
Edit to add: A manager reached out to me after my experience, said he would be retraining his staff, and gave me a gift card for the trouble.I came here to celebrate my nephews birthday, and since I wasnt feeling well, I decided to hang out at the Cafe area. I tried to order a latte and was told to come back later. I understand the lady at the counter was behind and by herself, but it would have been more appropriate if she would have taken my order and it just taken a while. This whole place is too expensive anyway. Sucks that I couldnt even get a drink.
Fabulous venue for birthdays and family night! I highly recommend going if you havent been. Theres something for every age group including lazer tag and bowling. I will definitely be coming back in the near future and participating in all of the activities I can!
My family and I come here often and spend a lot of our time here. This has been the second occasion, after spending $500+, that we have ended our night on a bad note because of the attitudes of the staff. The last two occasions that I have taken my 8 year old daughter to collect her prizes, the staff has been rude, negligent, and outright disrespectful, even to the point to spelling their name, "D-i-a-n-a," when being asked after a rude comment. This is not how I want to spend my time or money. Your managers have treated us well and taken good care of us, however, some of your staff need a little Q&A in customer service.
Love the Atmosphere and games if you go do the vip section great time whole family enjoyed...
Heads up about Times Square Grand Slam. I made an online reservation for two lanes in VIP. When we arrived, there was a large party that had taken over the whole area, including lots of small kids running around. We had an adult party of 16 so we asked to switch to family bowling since it was mostly empty.I asked about a possible refund since we werent going to be able to play comfortably in VIP. The manager said no, that they cannot refund online reservations. This was extra disappointing as there was also about a $100 online reservation charge. The manager had zero care that we spent almost $400 online and was not willing to work with us at all.The pricing is definitely off because the reserved lane in VIP for Thursdays is $27 a lane per hour for walk-ins.We will not be making this mistake again and just take our chances without a reservation.
I really enjoy coming to this place with my family. Theres lots of different things to do. The entire facility is clean. The employees are all friendly. The theaters are clean and the movie quality on the screen is excellent too. The prices are fair and not unusual for concessions or for the arcade. All in all definitely earned 5 stars in my book.
We took my whole family here to celebrate my youngest sons 11th birthday and we had a blast!! The adults enjoyed bowling while the kiddos enjoyed the arcade after 1 game of bowling so there is literally something for all ages here!! Well definitely be going back!!
We went to the movies and played games. It was really fun. Its alot to di here for all ages.
We reserved a lane online. $140 for two hours of bowling. You get to stare at complete strangers because you’re sharing a booth. There is a small table in the middle so if they order food you can’t fit yours on there too. They only have bottled water so you have to even pay for water even though you just spent $140 to bowl. The lanes kept messing up and not keeping score correctly. We had to waste time to get our second hour put on because it didn’t automatically add it, which I guess worked out because we still Ended up leaving fifteen minutes early because it randomly started over in the middle of a game and we lost our score. Bowling was an EXPENSIVE nightmare. Laser tag was fun which is the only reason it would even get a star.
Probably one of a few places that I enjoyed since Ive moved to TX. (Only been here for 2 years)Anyways, its a great place for families to come and have a great time at. It has two floors with arcade games, I think 15 bowling lanes, movie theater, and a bar in the VIP section (clearly for the adultsAlmost forgot, they also have laser tag. Their pizza is hella good. I recommend the pizza and their coffee. At least the ice coffee. I have a routine with my brother. We go, get a Captain & Coke, then order pizza, play a round of bowling, order another round of C&C, and enjoy the night. Lets all hang. They also have karaoke night on Wednesday. (Dont quote meWell, anyways, if you havent been, then you probably should go, its most definitely a place I enjoy going to, and a place my family enjoyed as well. Just remember, stay safe and stay clean, cause it can get crowded, and Im sure theres still a risk of sickness is still going around. (Not sure if thats appropriate, but I do care about safety.)
Nice place but not my place to return for bowling. We payed by the hour. Bowling pins were placed using strings. Strings tangle and often times would struggle to reset upright. This ate up playing time. We didnt have the time to finish our second game. And also, greasy foods and bowling balls dont go well together. All balls we chose were oily. Arcade was ok and im assuming the movies and food too. But no more bowling for us.
My fiance and I brought my nephew here during his visit from Canada; I do believe this was the highlight of the trip for him! He immediately ran to the ropes course for his first adventure and begged my fiance to go too. My fiance has a fear of heights, but his love for our nephew was stronger than his aversion, so he took a deep breath, put on his harness, and followed the little fellow up! I fell in love with him all over again when I saw this! I also laughed a lot and took a lot of photos!!! ;We had such a great time! I highly recommend. ♥️
Ive been going to this theater since I was a child. It perhaps needs a few updates, mainly the concession stand and people to scan online tickets because the scanning machine rarely ever works. I love the nostalgia of it though, and the employees are extremely friendly!
My go to place for laser tag, movies, and overall fun!I went back multiple times and always enjoy myself
Reasonable prices and good times! The arcade games run on credits that you get loaded to a game card. Then you swipe the games to play. The laser tag was a lot of fun and good prices, only $4.50 per person. For bowling, I suggest just showing up and getting a Lane rather than reserve it online, because it is actually cheaper in person.Overall it’s a great place to beat the heat and have some fun!
Ok. So. Service was not bad. Our little server dude was cool. The food was kinda bland. From the cheese bites to the loaded cheese fries. Cooks need to find some spices. It did come hot. So 2 stars mostly because of the WATER. Now youre like... What do you mean.. Ill explain. If you are bowling. They charge you for water bottles. 2.75. but its free if youre in any other part of the giant complex. They served us all types of drinks in the bowling area. The people next to us even had a pitcher of beer. They want you to either buy a cup to get water for$ 10 or buy their bottled water. Also cannot bring other water to the bowling alley area. Their policy. Is stupid. But otherwise. Lazer tag was good. Bowling lanes are visible. .
It was fun. They had some old cartoons in the screens by the bowling, its a fun atmosphere. The pins are on wires, Im not sure if that changes anything, but was a different style of pin reset than other places Ive been.
We went to see Deep in the Heart Texas movie, and I was surprised how empty the theaters were. Kind of nice, but a little sad. The ladies up front were very friendly, and the popcorn was fresh. Of course everything was its normal over price, but overall had a great date with the hubby for less than $40. And the movie was incredibly informative.
Love this place!! Bring our son here and he has a blast. Has so many things to do....-6 Screen Movie Theater-Classic Movie Concessions-2 tier Arcade Area-Bowling Alleys-Pizzeria-"Bars" for the adults 😉-Virtual Reality Game (VR)-High suspension rope walk-Lazer Tag-Gift/Game Point Exchange Store-Load Credits via game cards that are reusable (can condense game points to one card in the shop)Highly Recommend
Lots of affordable activities for kids and adults! The food is really good. The coffee shop is amazing and the sweet lady working the counter (was pregnant when I saw her and has piercings was SO patient with the literal hundreds of kids that were there with various schools. She was a trooper and so nice to talk to. Be sure to tip her big! All of the staff is super friendly and work hard. The facility is clean and appears well managed.
Lots of fun things to do with my son. I dont remember this place being in Tyler when I lived there. He enjoyed himself but it was a bit frustrating when there were technical difficulties at the theater. We sat there watching a white screen after one movie preview for 15 minutes. I decided to go tell someone and it was finally fixed. 640 show didnt start until 710. Then when cashing out my sons tickets the lady at the register in the locked panicked room shorted my sons tickets. He had 375 and only spent 350...when she checked him out and said thanks goodbye..I jokingly said where is the change?. She said thats it. I know he had 25 more ticket points on the card but I didnt want to argue about it. She already seemed agitated by our presence. I wonder who gets those extra ticket points that are being denied to people and piling up. Hopefully my son wont be in Tyler much longer and we wont need to come back. Theres plenty to do in Houston.
This place is awesome!! Bowling, food, sports bar, movies, lots of arcade games, laser tag. It has everything for the whole family!!
Im disabled and use a wheelchair. The staff are super friendly and helpful to my needs. Today, Jack even went out of his way to help me safely get my wheelchair loaded and me in my car. I have heart issues and may have overdid it, but I enjoyed my movie day. I only go to Times Square Grand Slam. Thanks again Jack!
So fun!!! A bit pricey but ALL staff was friendly and everything was so fun!
Absolutely worth it for a company gathering to celebrate. They had a private party room where they served pizza and salad. Salads were really good and surprisingly were eaten the fastest. The staff was quick to replace anything when we ran out. We then were able to go bowling, play a majority of the games that did not provide tickets, and just have fun!
We just had my Daughters 9th birthday party at Grand Slam. Along with pizza and drinks we also rented two bowling lanes. The pizza was good and the service was spot on with the drinks and refills. The bowling lanes were clean and very well maintained. We all had a very good time and all of the staff was patient and over the top polite and accommodating with a mob of 9 year olds and their parents. We did not get to enjoy all of the great activities they offer there but we plan on returning. Thank you Grand Slam.
You can not go wrong coming here. Plenty of games, food, and the freaking popcorn.... sorry I get excited about the popcorn. 😆.. fun for all ages. The wife and I do date nights here for games and a movie. You know earn some point for the kids to get toys. Have fun. We do.
Went to Grand Slam for the first time to eat with about 8 family members and no one greeted us.We decided to walked to the back to sit down because we were confused and we asked a guy working if we can pick a spot because it was empty (I guess we know whyhe said no absolutely not and walked away and it was super uncomfortable we ended up walking out and all the workers watched us starring at us while some guys at a bar were smirking.Worst restaurant experience I have ever had and just weird! We were all very confused on what just happened. The restaurant seemed to have a great menu and it was really nice inside but turned out to be a complete mess.I rated it a 2 because the games were fun and it has a awesome layout for bowling and seems to be a cool place but the service is extremely terrible and made me feel really awkward and uncomfortable.
Kids and adults will have fun here. Bowling and movies and arcade all fun. Great place to visit for party and to just have fun. The food is great as well from the burgers to the wings and the adult drinks are on point!
I choose the wrong week to take the kids it was spring break and it was a 2.5 he wait for a lane and 25 min wait to get a drink or food. The kids had a blast, they need more wait staff to accommodate the amount of people l.
Amazing family atmosphere. Great for date nights, family nights, and for out-of-town visitors. We love the Lazer tag, game options at the arcade, and my favorite bowling! Added plus if you have the extra $ you can rent a VIP lane where the bar is located and have a couple mommy drinks, which are amazing, especially the spiked strawberry lemonade 😉My kids of course love the food options and the HOLOGATE. Theres just so much to do and its inexpensive.
There is so much to do that you could literally be there all day and not get bored as long as you have the money for it.
The positives: Awesome arcade and overhead obstacles course for the kids. Cool laser tag room. All your game credits and ticket data you collect are stored on a card, so no hauling around hundreds of tickets and coins.Room for improvement: Pizza was expensive and very greasy. Not very good, threw away half of it. Couldnt get drinks (soda, teaat the pizza/coffee counter, have to go into the adjacent bar for those where the bar staff actually have to go somewhere else to get tea or lemonade. They just have the well gun sodas right there. That was super clunky and wasteful of time.Wait time for a bowling lane was quoted at 5 hrs on a late Sunday afternoon, which really equated to closing time. Be aware the online reservation can have a 2x markup, its different by the day.
Hands down, our FAVORITE Tyler movie theater. Between the affordable pricing🎟️, the eats, the games/activities, and the customer service, honestly, we only go elsewhere if it is a silly time conflict for our schedule that day. Otherwise, Times Square is MOST DEFINITELY our spot!~Shelby/Mom👡 & (11-yr-oldDominic Jude👟
This was a very nice random stop that me and my daughter made. We went to Tyler to go clothes shopping and hang out before I have to travel out of town to work. We were headed back home when we saw the sign for laser tag at the Grand Slam. So we turned around went inside looked around and we saw arcade games that we have not played or seen before in other similar establishments. So we get a card got to playing and enjoyed the arcade games.Originally we were there to do the laser tag but we saw the VR arcade setup. Which neither one of us has done before. And i would say that was the best VR experience Ive had to date. It was very immersive and according to my daughter it was, and I qoute "Awesome Sauce". Also Im give a shout out to the young lady that was the VR attendant she was very cool she was very good in helping my daughter to get set up with VR. Be back next time we in Tyler.
Absolutely awesome! We had my nephews birthday party here and had so much fun bowling, playing the arcade games, and the food was also great. Friendly and helpful staff.
Great place to take the family! They offer arcade games, laser tag, bowling, virtual reality games, ropes course, pizza, espresso bar, restaurant bar and a movie theater! Basically a one stop shop! You load individual games on your card for laser tag, ropes course, VR. Prices range from $3-5 per game depending on how many you load. You use they same card to load tokens for the arcade. Prices ranging from $10-100. Tokens are loaded directly on card as well as tickets you win with certain games. They have a prize room to redeem tickets. They have a pretty good selection of games! Laser tag lasts for 6 minutes, VR lasts for 5-6 depending on which one you select. They have 22 lanes for bowling. Prices vary from $15-32/hr depending on what day you go and time. Shoe rental is $3. They have six VIP lanes that offer a full service bar that can be used for a party. They also do offer party packages. Overall, very satisfied with this establishment! You need to visit this place!! We plan on returning very soon.
Love this place. We are hooked. Everything inside is open now. Bowling, VIP Bowling, Laser Tag, Laser Maze, Rope Course, 3 Party Room rentals, Cocktail Bar, Coffee Bar, and of course the Movie Theater. They also have great food for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Its an all in one event center.
