Exceptional experience.Would come back any time again

There are several private concessions that form part of the Greater Kruger National Park, one being the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve. During our visit we stayed at the Motswari Private Game Reserve (reviewed separatelywhich I can highly recommend. It is good to note that you need to stay at one of the lodges within the Timbavati/Klaserie/Umbabat to be able to enter the park. We had an amazing array of sightings, as all the animals found within the Kurger National Park can be found here, including an up-close sighting of a leopard within a river bed. The Timbavati also has a large range if bio-diverse regions to explore depending on the lodge you are staying at and the staff at the Enkhulu gate, where we entered, were very friendly and took nature conservation extremely seriously.

Timbavati. Amazing and special private game reserve! Night drives gets up close with leopard and other big cats. Dark night skies, with only the sounds of nature and fireflies over the river!

Great visit. Dry but still has water and still has grass from last years good rains

The reserve is nice. Very similar to the Kruger just with a few more private lodges. The animals werent too skittish. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Sightings were good but Kings Camp was out of this world. Staff were so attentive and if there was a 6th and 7th Star they were getting them.

The lodge is fantastic, the service is fantastic, the ambiance fantastic, the game drives hot (they definitely need shade screens over the vehiclesand the location fantastic.

Very beautiful place with lots of animals. I wish the land owners can love each other so they can stop this thing that you can not do game drive on theyre land if you are not pay for fees

Relaxed atmosphere, nice rondawals with bath on suite. Good food. Book extra activities like a sunset drive. They have their own guides and game drive vehicles. Friendly and competent staff.

The most beautiful safari lodge and friendliest people! A home away from home! You feel welcome from the get go and sad when you have to leave! They do the most informative game drives, which is a definite must to do! Thank you for an awesome time, we will definitely be returning in the near future!

Private game lodges within exceptional personal service

My favorite place on the planet. Game viewing is exceptional and it still feels wild despite more commercial operation pressure. Definitely more wild feel than the sabi sands

There are plenty of animals and birds to see at Timbavati. There are many Safari camps in the area. We went to Simbavati Hilltop Lodge which was wonderful. The area was wonderful and guided shared information which enhanced our experience for sure.

Amazing place and a amazing time spent

Amazing place is South Africa. The best place for all wildlife lovers to venture in the forest for amazing wildlife experience. This park is in the preserved and protected area for wild animals. Nice and adventurous experience as visitors encounter with wildlife in the open, mostly elephants. Huge park is this. Need a vehicle to cover all the areas of this park. Great Park.

Amazing experience! Saw so many wild animals. Great accommodations and food. Even the coffee breaks were memorable. Didnt want to leave.

Lots of wildlife, nice landscape, rivers with dams provide water for wildlife even during dry season, habitat of elefants, rhinos, lions, hippos, crocodiles, hippos, buffalos, leopards, giraffes, etc.

One place I loved and enjoyed is Timbavati, if you wanna go out for holidays. Go to this place Mopane Camp, WOW!!!

We stayed at Matswari, great setting, food. Guides were stupendous. Watching lions take town and kill buffalo was awesome. Guide v knowledgeable, spotter incredible at seeing. Also saw Nialla. Many, many other sittings
