Tijuana's Bar and Grill in San Juan
Description
Privilege
The food was delicious, the prices were good, will definitely go back for more!
If I could give it a 0 stars I would. This place is trash. I ordered shrimp soup with rice and asked the rice to be on the side. They brought me one scoop of rice 🤣🤣🤣 Please don’t go here. They treat the locals way better than tourist. My server was Victorrini. And he was so rude.
MoreFood was just okay, the Mangonada margarita was awesomely delicious!!
The wings and Miami Vice were good. I also enjoyed the chips and dip!
Affordable delicious food. Now I have 2 favorite Mexican food joints - one close to home and one in the islands.
MoreMy sister doesn’t like to eat food because she’s picky but she loved the burritos! Friendly staff and amazing food.
MoreI decided to eat here before my flight and after waiting 30 minutes for our entrees our server told us “the kitchen was behind” and it would be over an hour wait.. I had to leave for my flight without eating, I should’ve gone to Metropol downstairs. No customer service and no respect for our time. Food looked good too, it’s a real shame:(
MoreMole Enchiladas were great! Friendly staff!
Convenient location.Variety selection.Good taste and quantity of food.Reasonably priced.Good service.
MoreSabor delicioso! Puerto Rican flare on Tex next food. Great portions, lively environment, delicious drinks, cool staff. Al palo!
MoreLeave Mexican food to the experts, please don’t ever come to eat at this place that doesn’t have authentic flavors. By far this was the worse place I’ve ever had what they called the meal they served
MoreGreat place with a fun atmosphere and good food. In the area for a week trip and was very easy to order.
MoreGreat value for the location. Decent Mexican food and youll definitely get your moneys worth here given the price and portion size. Would come back again the next time Im craving Mexican.
MoreDelicious tacos! Great service! I got to try a chicken and a beef taco, and my husband had the fish tacos! They were all really good! This place is cute! Want to go back tomorrow for some margs! There were 30 flavors!!
MoreI was pleased with my visit here. It was conveniently located a block and a half from my air bnb. We had just arrived on the island and was looking for a bite to eat. They were about to close soon but still sat us down. Our waiter was attentive and we didn’t seem to be rushed. The food was delicious. It had been over 12 hours since I ate and I devoured my meal. We enjoyed our drinks while watching basketball on their patio. I would definitely return here when I return to PR!!
MoreGood place for a strong margarita and a beer but the food is on par with Taco Bell. I’ve been here a few times because I live down the street and really want it to be good Mexican food but it’s just not. :-(
MoreStopped in after a day of touring the town. Great quesedillas and piña coladas. Easy to get a table. Doesnt have WiFi.
MoreGreat food , tasty drinks ..
Amazing vibe. The bartender is amazing. We met great people there. The fresh nachos and salsa are BOMB. Estupendo!
MoreGreat location great food great waitress great drinks this place is awesome and amazing will definitely visit again wish I could give it 10 stars
MoreWhat a great place. Delicious food and wonderful drinksGreat prices tooService was excellent! Right on the main street
MoreVisited this place my first day in Puerto Rico, went regularly afterwards. The food was abundant and delicious. Wonderful staff and service. Joel took great care of my friend and myself, recognized us every time. Drinks are delicious as well.
MoreIf we could rate this place lower we would. Being from Texas and having authentic Mexican food regularly this was horrible. This was a Taco Bell knock off. The chips were stale, “salsa” was Sriracha with Puerto Rican hot sauce which is mostly vinegar. The chicken quesadilla was soaking wet on the bottom with canned shredded chicken, absolutely no seasoning. The tacos were the same wet shredded chicken that tasted like cat food. Bottom line no spice, no seasoning just wet meat that made our stomachs upset. The service was good and we were seated quickly.
MoreI cannot recommend this place. On a Friday night, they ran out of food. It was taking so long to be served. We saw a worker come in the front door w bags of tortillas, canned food and other ingredients, head straight to the kitchen. Our server started telling everyone waiting that the food will be here soon, now that they have all they need. This was after 40 minutes of sitting at our table waiting. We paid for our drinks and left.
MoreGreat ambiance and the food is reasonable and very good. Our server Gilbert was extremely knowledgeable of the menu and recommendations, as well as professional. The margaritas were STRONG 🥰
MoreThe waiter with the blonde hair (I thinkwas super attentive, the chips and salsa were fresh, the margaritas were nice and strong, I had the steak, it was delicious, my son had the chicken fingers, he liked it..the vibe was cool and I was able to take my drink to go 🙂 I will definitely come back...
MoreService was excellent and food was delicious. I had the fajitas and they were perfect! 👌 My mom had the shrimp with rice and she loved it. Margaritas are strong yet smooth. Great portions, tasty, fresh, and great presentation.
MoreWhat a fun place to be. While many places nearby are closed to take orders by now this one is happy to accommodate you. We enjoyed Tijuana soviche, Special Mango Margaritas, fish tacos...waiters are attentive and elegant. What else to ask for? Oh and the atmosphere is lively and fun.
MoreThis place is a chain that has locations around PR. It was perfectly fine and had perfectly acceptable Mexican food. Nothing was bad or overly impressive. The margaritas were yummy! Id skip it and try something more eventful next time.
MoreFriendly waiters. Excellent margaritas. Bacon-wrapped shrimp NOT recommended. Chicken enchiladas with mole highly recommended! Very close to Marriott Resort. Also a location near the cruise terminal in old San Juan.
MoreWe had a great lunch at Tijuanas. I had the TJs fajitas and they were delicious. The guacamole and Pico de Gallo were outstanding. I will definitely be back
MoreDisgusting food!! I rarely give bad reviews because I tend to give the benefit of the doubt. Different chefs can make Different quality food but the nacho I ordered were the worst! Ive never had such disgusting nachos. Clearly canned beans and dog food for the meat.
MoreThis place was amazing! Our server was great and very knowledgeable. The margaritas were some of the best Ive ever had and they tasted super fresh. The food came out hot and right on time. We stopped here before our flight back home and it was worth it. Keep in mind that they require your vaccination card or a recent negative test before entering.
MoreFirst off our waiter Christian Joel was amazing! We had a pomegranate margarita and a mojito both were so good. We loved the salsa. Everything we ate was delicious and the prices were very reasonable
MoreGood atmosphere, good food & drinks
Food was good, fair prices on food , service was great!
Guacamole is not fresh it is liquid and we ordered pick up and the waiter was not welcoming at all. Also I would not recommend this place we waited over 45 mins for a simple order and other people who were sat down after us were served before we got our order which is ridiculous. Waiter gave us food and didnt even say anything at all and when asked was rude.
MoreVery good drinks and food. Very fast and the people where Very nice and accommodating!
MoreThe staff was so professional and kind, atmosphere is comfortable and appealing. Drinks are delicious 😋😍
MorePretty good Mexican food! Prices arent bad considering the portion you get.Id recommend the Tri-Juana... Burrito, enchilada, and taco for $14. Comes with guac & sour cream!Free chips and a warm spicy dip.Tables are a bit tight but service was great and food was above average.
MoreGreat tuna tacos and quick service. Complimentary chips and salsa.
A few notes:- Chips were a little too hard, but still good- Salsa is served warm hereThe gordo burrito was amazing. So much flavor and juice. I had tacos, and the meat was slightly on the drier side, but overall things tasted good. Service was very quick and professional.Make sure you try the dessert! Chocolate Mousse was super rich.
MoreThe shrimp tacos were delicious as you can see. Also the lemonade was awesome.
We stopped in here the other night for dinner while we were walking around Old San Juan and had a delicious meal. It is located right on the water, which was nice, and had a good ambiance. We had quesadillas and burritos, along with the chips and salsa that were brought out complimentary and everything was tasty, fresh, and seasoned well. The service was friendly and we finished our meal with the churro and vanilla ice cream desert which we all shared and it hit the spot. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Old San Juan area looking for some good Mexican fare. The Anne Marie Kerezsi Real Estate Team"Your Property, Our Priority#KeepingUpWithTheKerezsis
MoreStarted off great. We were sat and attended to right away. Things definitely got busy shortly after we arrived and service got a little slower but all in all it was a good experience! I got Mexican lasagna and it was delicious and enough for two people! Drinks were yummy. We wish we would have discovered this place before our last day in PR!
MorePlace is pretty small and was LOUD even though there were maybe 16 customers including us inside. Service was okay...food took a while to come out. The fish tacos were ok but were supposedly mahi mahi, however two of us got them and dont believe they tasted like mahi.
MoreWe ordered the traditional margarita which did not taste great but it was a lot cheaper than other cocktails which were going for $9-12. The tacos were but the guacamole tasted like it came from a grocery store. Service was good.
MoreThis is the best taco place in town!!! The manager and staff are excellent!!! Beautiful smiles and very accommodating!!! Me and my family are vegan and they made vegan dishes although they didnt offer a vegan meal on the menu!!! Prices are reasonable. Thank You Jacinth(Managerfor your hospitality!!! Wonderful people!!!
