Tiffins Asian Kitchen - Thai restaurant in Zurich, Switzerland
Best Thai food I ever had. The pad se ew and duck in orange sauce was delicious and plentiful.
Comfy Asian Food. The flavor is much like in Thailand. I ate the beef Ka Prao and the taste reminds me of what Thai food is like. The portion is huge and enough for 1 person (a bit too much for tiny asian like me). In addition, you can have Thai beer here.
Pretty nice for good lunch, not super cheap, but quality is good.Sometimes its a bit crowded and hectic. But overall always worth the money. :)Take-away options are also working very nicely.
Overpriced but the locals dont have other options
Tasty food, good quality, very friendly service 👍
Tiffins keeps being my favorite Thai restaurant in Zurich. Great for take away and for a quick bite in the restaurant. Staff always friendly.
This place is unbelievable, I ate there in 2007- I still rem the taste...need to visit and eat there again
Best Asian restaurant in the Seefeld area in my opinion. If you feel like a great papaya salad, a delicious soup or a sumptuous curry, this is the place. Its on the more expensive side but you get what you pay for in this case. Very large portions and no skimping on ingredients. Been going here for years and years and can only recommend it!
i got raw chicken, but waiters were very nice.
Good location, food and staff but prices intolerable too high. Ordinary lunch for 3 persons 90 francs, only the watter bottled 0.75 L, costed 11 francs. The most expensive watter I have ever paid. Never again or never watter to order.
Its cute im going to eat there for over 10 years now. They have the best tom kha gai chicken soup in whole zurich and the satay chops are amazing too
Words can‘t describe the freshness, friendliness and yummyness efforts they are putting in the dishes. Best Asian & Indian dishes in Zurich
The food is getting better now after ownership change. Returning to my old fav from 15 years ago, I noticed the difference in water charges. Back in the old days they provided free tap water, then they start charging for tap water at 3 CHF, now 6 CHF a flask for tap water, 11 CHF for a bottled water( only fine dining restaurants in ZH charge that much for a bottled water). This is a bit too greedy for a quick lunch/takeout place.
The best thai food you can have in zurich!Dī māk.
Fast and happy Thai food, makes for a quick and easy lunch. Good range of options on the larger menu, and daily lunch specials.
Food is very consistent, but in my opinion they specialize in Chinese cuisine.
tasteful. love the satay sticks w/ plain white rice. pricy but no regrets.
Very delicious. Kind staff. Fast cooking. Reasonable price.
Amazing food with very kind, caring and friendly staff. Highly recommend
Love this Asian Thai restaurant. Big portions and food is great as well as the staff.
Lunch served very fast, authentic food, friendly service, only 4 stars because my meal was almost cold
Authentic and very tasty Thai meals for an average price. Due to daily meals they are really quickly!
I had the sweet & sour chicken and mango cheesecake, both tasted great and were bursting with flavor (esp the chicken, loved it). Service was also fast and very friendly :)
Simple, quick and polite. This eatery is a perfect place for some after-work food, takeaway or just a quick bite.
Very good Thai. Not too salty. Excellent service. Quick and efficient.I recommend the home made iced tea to accompany any dish.Enjoy!
Better than expected! I must say, I dont really like sitting on benches in restaurants, but thats about all the bad I can say about this place after my visit last night. The lamb with roti and the dumplings were spectacular for the price, the cheesecake was, well, a really good cheesecake and when we asked for a stronger ginger tea (the default doesnt really taste like ginger at allwe got exactly that: A stronger ginger tea (to my taste, it was still not strong enough, maybe someone try and order one with three bags of ginger;)
pad thai w chicken - pretty goodkaho pad w shrimp - good; appreciated some spice from red chilies !spring rolls - badgreen salad - fairly horrible; had that styrofoam stuff on it (shrimp crackers?+ barely any greens. really just wanted a nice green salad with sesame soy dressing (per the menu description)love the convenience of ordering online and being able to go straight to check out counter to pay and collect
Hot enough by Asian standards! Friendly staff
The food is heavy, had the crispy duck which is not crispy because reheated, a lot of pepper. Dont take a sweet and sour dish, it seems they melted Mélasse (siryp of row sugar).... Way too sugary! The cheese cake is full of gelatin, it has an unpleasant consistency, seems like an industrial dessery. Need to improve a lot!
Ok, first and foremost, this is the same “Asian food” I can get in America for about $20. I just paid ¢79 francs for two dishes, one beer, one coke and an appetizer...... are you people serious?Travelers beware, go find some tasty street food and let the people who live here, eat here. Not worth it.
Try the Crispy Duck, not the cheapest dish on the menu but for me the tastiest.Only three stars because I dont like the bench seats!
Great Asian in Seefeld! Been coming over 10 years for the excellent food, great price-value, fantastic & friendly service. Especially the wonderful Ditta is always there with a smile and top service! 👍🏻
Excellent food, very friendly & helpful team, good portions, nice prices. Was there many times with friends & family, it was always perfect. Will be back soon !
Not really a good level of Asian cuisine. Thing were definitely heated up and not fresh, prices high for the quality given
Too hot/humid and they charge for tap water (which is a basic necessity and is free at most places). It was also too crowded, which is due to its popularity, but the design of the place is poorly made and primarily at the benefit of the restaurant; which is to fit more people in.Besides that, the service was decent and the food came quickly. While some of the dishes were delicious, like the Panaeng Curry with Chicken and the Chicken Fried Rice, other items like the Ma La Chicken were too salty. The prices are not even that much better for it to be a place worth visiting again. That being said, there was free wifi that worked decently and their portions were filling enough (3 dishes filled 4 people), but overall I’m displeased.
Probably my most visited restaurant in Zürich. It’s reliable. Some dishes are much better than others, but everything I’ve had has been at least decent but usually delicious. Service is usually quite fast and polite. Prices are fair for Zürich. Great opening hours and easy online ordering for takeaway.
Great place to drop in randomly for a quick lunch if you like Thai food and if you are in a hurry. The menu is always the same and the quality of the food has stayed the same over the years. They are consistently good and the place is packed every time I go there.
Very interesting flavors. I am not a fan of Chinese and I loved their sweet and sour chicken. We used their takeaway, it was fast and practical as intended. Somewhat pricey, but it was actually very good. I would come back.
Really fast service and tasty food, especially if you are in the mood for spicy food. There are four levels of spiciness, from zero to three stars.
My new favourite Thai place in Zurich - perfect for a healthy, quick and satisfying treat. Almost every dish is available in a vegetarian version.Yesterday evening, I went there with friends and had an awesomely balanced Pad Krapao with tofu. The presentation was fresh and classical at the same time: the spicyness was just about right, and I like spicy food. The dish was labelled two stars out of three for spicyness, I guess the three-star-dishes are more for hardcore chili lovers... I also tried the vegetarian Pad Thai, a big thumbs up for this too.Prices in this restaurant are moderate for an expensive city like Zurich. In other reviews I read that this place is always busy, but it wasnt the case yesterday around 9pm. We easily found a big table for the four of us and it was silent enough to have a relaxed conversation. It wont be the last time I have had a good meal here, looking forward to trying more traditional Thai dishes!
Great food, willing to accommodate food sensitivities. Seating is not the most comfortable but always have enjoyed the meals for takeaway or dining in. The prices are moderate and staff was efficient even though it was busy most of the times we have gone here.
Always a busy place. Food is good and the service is really quick. We love their sake bomb.
Food is good! Ask for the menu in English if you dont know German.
Creative and delicious appetizers were all we would try as the menu prices were too expensive. The spring roll was crispy with layered textures on a nice spicy sauce. The Roti was pretty average as well as the edamame. To order an entree of curry was 27fr. That is very high. That is more expensive than the top Thai places in Munich and Atlanta. The service was aloof and we were looked down upon for bringing the kids.
Great Asian food is hard to come by in Zurich.I wouldnt go so far to say that the food here is great, but its darn good enough to satisfy all your spicy, saucy, coconut-y, rice-y cravings. And it ticks the boxes - tasty, cheap (in the warped Zurich universe of value), consistent, and offering a wide variety of dishes with rotating specials. And absurdly fast for takeout. There have been times where I order and my food is ready while my chip and pin card is still "Connecting..." Srsly.Recommendations: the pad thai or pad see yu, if youre feeling noodley. Any of the curries or the gan sao chicken (kind of like general tsao?are good rice dishes. They also have a version "khao soi," my favorite thai dish. While it doesnt feel muy authentico, its perfect when you cant decide between eating noodles or soup.
Great food in a nice and casual environment. Very friendly staff and quick service. Red Curry + Lassi = yummy combo :-)
Tiffins is relatively cheap and cheerful. Its not a place for a romantic dinner by any means but the food is good and the service is friendly and efficient. If youre doing dinner with friends or colleagues, its perfect. Lunch and evening, you should be able to get a table and enjoy good food.
Had a good dinner there with the kids. Friendly staff and the homemade ice tea had a lot of success with the kids. One thing, the spring roll (note the singularis big and has nothing to do with a roll (its more a spring box)
Easy place, communal tables, modern interior. Waiters can sometimes be too eager to help you and it gets slightly uncoordinated. Very good curries. If you are looking for a place to get some nice Asian food quickly in informal but still warm surroundings, pick this one.
Good for when you just have to get your curry fix. Wide variety of dishes, long tables and casual environment. They do take-away too.
