Tiffindell Ski Resort - Ski resort in Mohale’s Hoek, Lesotho
We visited Tiffindell out of season, there was no snow left. Frieds of ours have been there before, so we went to see how the slope would be. It looks quite steep, but could not experience it ourselves.
I have a booking for July where 50% deposit has already been paid. NO response to any of the email addresses, no answer on any of the 3 contact numbers. Have I lost my money? Flights and car rental also paid for...I really just want some feedback / response
I have been trying to contact them for the past two weeks - no one answers the phone. I wanted to book for August. Is there an alternative number? No one responds to emails either.
We have had no joy for a week in trying their landline, during and after hours. Does anyone have cell phone contact details?
I wanted a quote. I send the enquiry on Monday. Today is Friday. Still no reply, e-mail or phone call to follow up from their side!
Been trying to make a booking for 2 months. No assistance. No reply on emails.
Have a booking for July. They dont reply via email or phone calls 😬😬
They are currently closed but the road sign says theyre open. Theyre not. If youre keen to try the Ben Mac look out, phone ahead to check if theyre open.
Provides food and accommodation all year round. Great for ski lovers during winter
Absolutely a beautiful view and definitely a must see...
Awesome set up. A little winter paradise. Beautiful manufactured snow all through winter. Ben Shui, highest mountain is there. The complete setup with the accommodation is awesome.
Amazing place to just relax with family. Staff love all over food was great as well.. only problem if you not use the thin air you will sit with a problem
Tiffindell has been the first ski resort I have visited, and so this review shouldnt be treated as one of an experience ski-goer.That said, this place will blow you away with their hospitality, attention to detail, and the willingness of the staff to go out of their way to ensure your every convenience is met. The food at the resort is divine, and this came completely unexpected. We have been talking about it for weeks after our trip.Do yourself a favour, and treat yourself to Tiffindell!
The resort was a pleasant surprise in all aspects. The accommodation and food was excellent and the staff really go out of their way to ensure a relaxing and enjoyable experience. When all the slopes are open there are enough options for most level of skiers.
Lovely resort and student staff are a refreshing addition. Poor equipment rentals though and beginner instructors not up to scratch with international counterparts.
Kids (and Adultsloved the first time in snow and sliding down the slopes on tubes. Will spend more time there in the future to take some ski lessons.
We had a great experience! Our equipment was in a good condition, food was good as was the service and staff.I must mention Khaliswa (Sorry if the spelling is wrongfor being an AMAZING ski instructor to my daughter. Extremely patient, friendly and understanding. Not to mention the amazing backward skiing techniques she employs to assist the young ones when going down the mountain :)One recommendation: The kids daycare center really needs some more equipment, activities, toys and staff that are engaging and upbeat... We went there with our kids when it was especially cold and windy outside. We decided after 5 minutes that freezing is better.
Excellent service, instructors and staff were all very friendly, will definitely visit again!
Full of adventure, worth the trip. Affordable.
Great place to go skiing in south africaThe restaurant though needs some attention and the coffee shop, the food was not great and expensive but otherwise a great place!
Excellent layout and well priced
We had such a great stay at Tiffindell. The Luxury Chalets are fantastic and well equipped. The food was good and the staff friendly. The ski instructors are well trained and professional, we have to thank Kieran who is the most enthusiastic ambassador for Tiffindell and entertained us on and off the slopes.
Enjoy every visit there so far, the upside down ski shooters are a must try in the bar.
Honestly 0 out of 5 Stars but google wouldnt let me select 0. If you a serious about having a good skiing experience, I would not recommend for the following reasons. The ski boots were disgusting, smelly, dirty and damaged. They did not even have a foot bed or sole in the boot liner of the boots they gave me. Secondly the skis were so old I might as well be skiing on planks of wood. I can not believe the prices they charge people when the condition of the gear is well beyond time to throw it away and is not safe anymore.
Amazing place, great staff, friendly trainers and remarkable yet thrilling roads to reach.Way to Ben McDhui 3001mtr is to be taken with caution, we are not professional 4x4 enthusiast, but thankfully our reliable BMW X5 offroad made it through, wouldnt recommend though :)
Pleasant atmosphere. Well worth a day visit.
Still a fantastic getaway for the whole family, however prices has significantly increased to such extend that the locals wont support them long in the future. R18 for a can of Coke?
The so called manager lee is a very arrogant "ja bruh" the resort is beautiful and the staff are wonderful what incredible people. I just found the manager was very rude and came across drunk on the job.
Beautiful views. Great roadtrip to take with friends up to the resort. Friendly staff and quick service. We enjoyed our time so much. This resort has a coffee shop and bar.
This place is located on the border with Lesotho and has the second highest bar in the country the place has about 5 places that you can ski on it also has the highest cellphone tower is south africa (mtnthe have lots of places to stay over if you are traveling from far it is a good idea stay over and then go up to tiffandale the food is expensive you should get the food package
Very beautiful place with awesome views over the mountains. It was nice and quiet when we went their in summer time. Beautiful chalets.
It was awesome but we were there in the summer. Drove to the top of Been. Was a great drive only nearly died a little bit. 52 year old woman drove her Defender up there after men. That was crazy to watch. Camping bathrooms were very far away with a big V in very. Power was available so suggest taking space heater for your tent so you dont die, it gets quite cold at night FYI.
Awesome place to visit In summer. Exciting ride to the top. Stayed in a beautiful mountain view room
Really enjoyed our stay here! Lovely vibe, it can get a little bit pricey. Be sure to bring your own goggles, gloves and beanies as you cant hire these at Tiffindell and they are pricey to buy from their ski shop.
Worth the visit... Kind staff, willing to help and take you to correct area of need. Unexpected stay, was fun and welcoming.
Amazing resort. Great place for an alpine experience. Accommodation adequate but it must be expected that you far from civilization
For a great ski experience in South Africa, visit Tiffindell
Friendly staff. Instructors well trained and helpful. Nice place to relax and have fun even for kids
Brilliant for skiing and hiking. Majestic in its beauty. Spectacular night skies. Ford fiesta took us all the way 😊
Cant believe this is a place in South Africa! Awesome getaway! Definitely a bucketlist experience.
Excellent food, amazing experience and a breathtaking view.
Very nice experience just very expensive. Skiing experience was awesome. The cabins and food lovely. The only reason I do not give 5 stars as it is very expensive for non skiërs to go there and we do everything as a family. Also the bedding needs upgrading.
Havent actually stayed here, but I was able to go up and experience it for myself 😜!Looks like loads of fun and the staff all seem very friendly and ready to live the best life 🤗!Would recommend.
While not a destination for the budget conscious, Tiffendells party trick...its slopes will entice many a traveler. The first thing that struck me was the friendlyness of the staff rather than the snow. Placement on the mountain reminds of Alpine villages in Europe. For those who dont know snow or anything about skiing it is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Those doing the mountain in a 4x4 should not miss the Ben Mcdui pass that runs behind the resort to the top next to the Lesotho border. The pass i must say is not for novices and should not be taken lightly especially when there are snow on the mountain. For whatever reason you came ...snow/skiing/4×4 etc Tiffendell will not dissapoint.
The season just opened. A must visit if you are a ski lover or just looking for a total different experience!
Beautiful place with wooden houses and rooms. Can accommodate up to 12 people in well equipped house. Delicious buffet style supper provided. Bar available.
Wow what a gem excellent food and friendly staff
This resort is situated at the top of a very steep road and boasts the highest peak - Ben McDui.. Not for your sedan car! The group was greeted with coffee and muffins. Lunch hamburgers were average. Beautiful views and spectacular banks of red hot pokers and thistles.
Nice time skiing and walking on the mountain path. Food was very nice as well
Have been going to Tiffendell since 1996, and have always had a wonderful time there. Accommodation, meals, skiing lessons, quality and maintenance of the slopes, and overall experience cannot be faulted. Staff members put in a lot of effort to make sure everyone has a great stay.
