Tierrasanta Community Park & Recreation Center - Park and Garden in Alpine, United States
Good all around rec center. Good facilities both indoor and outdoor. Lots of space for both organized sports and just hanging out.
It was a cool place to come to and let my 2 twin boys get some practice in with some basketball. Not bad.
Clean , open , great place for kids
Tierrasanta Rec Center is great. They have a huge field, basketball courts, playground, pool, rec center with cheap classes, bathrooms and tennis courts.
too hot of pool and bad chlorine
A place for the whole community to love
Meh it ok the pool is fine the play ground is decent to many creepy people around
Clean park plenty of space
Racist lifeguards. Perfect place for whites only.
Only went there to check out the basketball courts
Lots of space and good facilities. Free services and classes for kids are a huge plus. Playgrounds, clean environment and always relatively empty. Take advantage!
Great place for many recreational activities!
Theres grass, trees, and place to park. What more can I say? It does what it was built to do.
Stopped here to eat my lunch and use the public restroom the restrooms were incredibly clean and actually smelled fresh very clean part well manicured enjoyed my break
Only 4 stars because the pool wasnt open yet. The park is great small but has all the things and great shady areas
Love this park/sports center. Easy to find. Very clean. Great fields for team sports.
Amazing atmosphere and the employees working at the recreation center are extremely friendly and helpful by choice as the actual Center is not open so them going out of their way to ensure safety and share their knowledge about the beautiful Park and area was worth having my first review for stay blessed
Nice peaceful place , kids can play, walk your dog or just chill very nice place
Great open park with two play structures, sand box, and swings. There are pull up bars as well. There are trails behind the tennis courts also if ya wanna get a trail run in.
Basketball court was what I was mainly there for. Breakaway rims not your typical double or triple rims. One tilted hoop. The rest of the park was great baseball and softball fields were nice.
Awesome little park. Still mostly closed down during Covid, but a good place for a quiet picnic.
Great community park just needs more parking
Not really appealing to look at... Not gated knowing they have dangerous animals living near by that could come to the park... They have a gate around the field but not the park..the park. It caters to younger kids I feel a lil gate could be use full to to keepz our kids safe... And needs to be lowerd toooo much goin on needs to be leveled... Kid trips many times... Get rids of the brick n sand and but that bouncing stuff they use in others.. one more thing .. one things thats for certain and one thing that is for sure is that this is all just my opinion people... Uhh
Ive only come for the basket ball courts, but theyre great and have light for these early sunsets. Parking gets tight close to the courts, but you can find some auxiliary lots. Sometimes there are some pretty serious ballers looking for games, but others its just families having some fun.
Great fields we play soccer at this place
Such a little gem in Tierrasanta! Weve only been a few times, but its hours of fun. Theres not much shade and it fills up fast since there is a low capacity number. Its $3 per person I believe. Anyone under 4 has to wear a swim diaper. The water is no deeper than two feet and its at a perfect angle for babies to splash in too. Cant recommend this place enough.Theres plenty of parking thats shaded. Theres a cute little park. So plenty to explore on a summers day.
Great spot for kids to play. Clean pool. Fun little splash pad. Only three stars because the life guards were miserable. Every one of them had a negative attitude. They seemed extremely annoyed to be doing their job. I saw multiple lifeguards put hands on the kids trying to tell them the rules. In my opinion- it was entirely inappropriate. If you can ignore their draining presence- it can be a fun outing.
This is an amazing park that has a great pool and play areas.
Went here for movie night on Friday. The details made it seem like there would be a lot of activities for kids before the movie, but we didnt see any. The screen was pretty small and the grass area was small too. By the middle of the movie we were drenched from the grass which didnt initially feel wet. We ended up leaving. Park seems clean though.
Oh my goodness this place is so much fun! Park, tot lot, tennis courts, pool and kids splash pad. FUN FUN FUN. Best of all its open for several hours! We will return!!
Excellent park with lots of amenities, community center, playground, tennis courts, basketball, fields. Very safe and clean
Great place for the kids and adults. Theres a nice water section for kids with heated water. The swimming pool is big and heated as well.
This park is beautiful. There is a place for everyone. A childrens play area. Tennis courts, basketball ball and grassy hills to sit or roll down. Yes, I saw kids actually rolling down the hill.
Love the French fries over here! Anytime Im craving french fries this is where I always want to go. Ive tried several of their burgers and they are pretty good too. I would skip out on the fish burger though. It was definitely too oily and not as country as I would have liked it. the inside eating area is small but the outside eating area is 2 and relaxing. They serve beer here and the prices are reasonable especially because the flavor is so memorable. I know it sounds weird but I judge food places on how yummy the food was and if I remember how yummy it was when I walk away. Lol 😅
Very nice park for my grandkids they had a great time
I come here to play pick-up basketball on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They keep the facilities clean and the staff is always friendly. The group playing basketball can get a bit intense, Im not the best basketball player around so I typically end up just shooting around. Its been getting packed for the pick-up basketball games so probably going to find a new gym, but if you are looking for competitive basketball definitely check it out on Tuesdays and Thursdays around 10 a.m.
It is a very good place to practice sports or just have a picnic. It has a lot of open spaces and the area where is located is beautiful
Very well kept community park and recreation. Lot of activities1. Kids play area2. Basketball court3. Tennis court.4. Very good swimming pool but paid. Look for timing.5. Club house for party6. Football groundMonthly free events.
Really nice Park, lots to do.***Tennis courts*** ate not public, you must pay the tennis club to play $5 per play.
Buildings could use renovation, but the shabbiness of community centers is nostalgic for me. Plus, theres a shelf of old paperbacks to swap and an honest to goodness bulletin board to browse which makes the horror of karate lessons pass a bit faster.
A nice place that has basketball cards baseball field softball field a good place to relax have fun with the kids take the dogs
It is amazing there I even go there everyday after middle school it is a very peaceful and pretty place I recommend it
The facilities here are pretty decent but no enough for the money, could ask more of the organizational structure as well.
This place is great lots of room and fun things to do. Park and pool and hiking parking is great.
Well maintained fields and courts but parking leaves something to be desired. Also had the light turned off several times while youth teams were practicing on the fields.
Super fun play area for small children. Very reasonable price.
Good pickup basketball after work. Good courts that always have nets. Also has a gym and baseball park.
This place is the junction at night. Also the annual Oktoberfest and also the annual Patriots Day parade is held here. There are games, food, fireworks, and fun things to do.
I take my kids here for swim lessons every year. They also have everything from karate to dance for a great price.
Tierrasanta Rec. Center is great because it has two (2indoor basketball courts and a couple of meeting rooms. Outdoors, there are two basketball courts, a baseball diamond, a large grass field, tennis courts, and a childrens playground. There is also a swimming pool on the opposite end of the park in a separate facility. The facilities are well kept and the hours are good: the indoor courts close at 9 p.m. and the outdoor courts have lights until 10 p.m. (refer to the centers website for daily hours). Theres also lot of parking, but it can get crowded when there is an event going on, like youth football. This park has a lot going for it and it is tucked away deep in Tierrasanta, so it doesnt get as crowded as most community parks. Ive been coming here for basketball every week for the last few years. Definitely worth visiting if you want to play a pick-up basketball game, exercise, do yoga, or bring your children for a day in the park.
