Good park to go with kids and for a walk. I think there is a parking fee of 50 cents for every 30minutes on weekends. After 6pm its free on weekends. No parking fee on week days

Pretty big and a lot of different animals and that with a free entrance ! The playground around are also awesome for the kids.

Früher bin ich immer hier mit meinen Eltern als kleines Kind hingegangen mittlerweile bin ich 47 Jahre alt und es hat sich total viel verändert der komplette Kaisergarten wurde in den letzten zwei Jahren zu einem Zoo umgebaut und es ist immer noch kostenlos obwohl es so viele Tiere zu sehen gibt wie fast in einem Zoo. Das ganze ist kostenlos man kann dort aber Futter kaufen um die Tiere zu füttern eigenes Futter mitzubringen ist verboten weil die Tiere dadurch krank werden ich gehe hier mindestens eins bis zweimal im Monat hin weil es einfach total das Ruhepol ist wo man ein wenig herunterfahren kann gerade in der Woche ist wenig los weil es am Wochenende wesentlich frequentierter ist

Hier kann man gut ein paar tolle Stunden verbringen. Der Park ist sehr schön. Der Hammer ist das Tiergehege, das man auch abends noch besuchen kann. Das beste es kostet keinen Eintritt. Schön angelegt und viele Tiere, die man sich in Ruhe anschauen kann. Beispielhaft, so etwas sollte es in mehreren Regionen/großen Städten geben.

Heute Mittag haben wir hier ein paar schöne Stunden verbracht.Als wir angekommen sind, standen wir für 10 Minuten in der Schlange. Doch es ging zügig voran.Nachdem wir drin waren, gab es für die Kinder kein Halten mehr. Sie sind zu allen sämtlichen Gehegen gelaufen und hatten ihren Spaß.Auch hatten Sie Spaß die Tiere zu füttern.Besonders lobenswert ist der freie Eintritt für das, was geboten wird.Wir kommen auf jeden Fall nochmal wieder.

A very cool place to visit and hard to believe entrance is free! They have a bunch of interesting animals, a lot of them typical farm species which are quite tame and can be fed, but also wild animals which are interesting to watch. It’s also positive to note that while they’re selling animal food and encourage people to feed them, there are no real petting zoo areas which means that animals can come to the fence and allow people to pet them but they can also choose to walk away and children can’t chase them.The place is mostly financed by donations and the sales in the small souvenir shop by the entrance, so it is well worth making a purchase or leaving some coins. Or if you’d like to get further invested, you can also adopt your favorite animal for a fair annual fee.Even if you’re not too interested in the animals, the park makes for a nice walk on a sunny day.If you’re arriving by car, you can try the small car park by the beer garden but it’s usually quite busy. Parking along the street is also possible and easier to find a spot. Both are free of charge during the week but you’ll need to buy a ticket from one of the vending machines on the weekends.Dogs on a leash are welcome, by the way. Ours had her entire world turned upside down when she met her first sheep. :)

Awesome little Zoo for the whole family, it can be really full from time to time, especially when there is good weather and weekend.You can see there all the animals from the farm and a couple more exotic animals.I highly recommend this place

Nice and fun place for kids.. Well maintained.. Kids enjoy feeding the pet animals.. Peacock is a show stealer there.. Nice park and lots of stuff for the kids to play.. And also you can relax on the banks of Emscher or walk to other side of the river with a spring bridge

We were searching for a park to stroll over the weekend. Came across this place in our search. This place pleasantly surprised us.The entry to the garden and zoo is free. There many animals kept inside, which is again surprising considering they have to be maintained without charging fee to the visitors. Kids will enjoy their walk in the park. You can also feed the animals, you need to purchase the stuff at the entry gate.Special mention of the ring bridge, its very nice to see this bridge, could have some nice photos when its less crowded.There is washroom at the entrance and also a small cafe.Overall a good place to spend a summer weekend with kids here.

A place where coty kids can get to meet amd touch some farm animals, free of charge. Open area, sometimes crowded but overall nice and educative enough. Part of a larfer park so other activities can be done in the area as well.

Very nice park with a childrens farm. Really relaxing and beautiful to walk around. Also the slinky bridge is quite unique.
