2 The Arches, Richmond TW9 1TH, Isleworth
Hip veggie and vegan cafe in converted arches with a large, tree-shaded terrace next to ferry dock.
I love the atmosphere and the view!! However, the food has gone from pricey and average to pricey and below average. Just had a very small, watery and cold bowl of soup. The other day I had the vegetable curry which was mostly a full bowl of rice with a small bit of curry on top. The tea is dishwater. The carrot cake has gone from a generous homemade slice to a thinly sliced store bought portion. The place is so popular that I am sure there is no need to improve the food - unfortunate. I will still come for the view but will buy my lunch elsewhere!
Queues are always long...not sure whether its due to the popularity or a problem behind the counter...I queued up in a queue of about 12 customers, the queue did not move for about 2 minutes and I decided to go to a coffee place in Richmond approximately 10 minutes away...when I came back after about 25 minutes the person who was just before me in the queue was just about to be served...also a bit overpriced, even for Richmond standards...this place is definitely overpricing on the "vegan" label...but the location is beautiful
The world feels like a better place while sitting by the river on a sunny day with a pint from this cafe. Super friendly and professional staff and a plethora of healthy food. Definitely the best spot in London.
Hadnt been here for a while and was impressed with the appetising food and the friendliness of staff
Cafe near the riverwalk to have a coffee or Hot chocolate with a view. Loved the way how an under bridge area is used as cafe.
This is a real gem of a place. Fabulous healthy food and the best coffee in London
The location and view is what gives this place its appeal. Come by at sun set and youll find a line of people sat taking in the suns last rays and the beautiful view. The coffee is great and the pastries as decent. Wouldnt recommend the vegan muffins though- bit claggy on the palette. The staff are really friendly and warm too.
Great location by the river, huge outdoor space to sit. Vegetarian and vegan food. Decent coffee. What else would one need? Time! I wish I could have stayed longer.
Walked along Richmond Riverside and stumbled upon Tide Tables. We were so pleased we did. Unlike the other places across the bridge this one had riverside views and outdoor seating. Fun place for the kiddos with a nice stretch of greenery alongside the river walk. It is also a dog-friendly place. They have put out a doggie water bowl! Go check out the pastries - we chose the harvest apple cake and lemon drizzle slice, delicious! For savouries we chose the spinach & goats cheese parcel and falafel plate with salad, hummus & bread roll. The staff were friendly and helpful. Absolutely outstanding food and service. We had a lovely meal in great surroundings.
Perhaps a little expensive - for a collect from counter, food was good and location is nice. Its busy so can take a while to get served. Has a pigeon problem which is annoying when trying to eat and not strictly their fault but could do more to stop them being encouraged. But overall a good lunch and location!
Very busy Cafe lots of seating outside. We came here to see the river boat race.
Our regular haunt after rowing. Always busy on Saturday. Good food with strong vegan influence.
It was the most perfect day to be at Tide Tables. The sun was shining and there was a buzzy atmosphere. The selection of incredibly appealing options was hard to choose from. Whether it be a delicious looking veg bake or a samosa type thing you cant go wrong. Not to forget the fresh mouth watering salads such as the Greek salad. Top it off with a scrummy cake such as the coffee and walnut or carrot cake and a very good coffee. Its just a very special place and the staff are very friendly. You dont want to miss it.
The coffee place wasnt anything great its more like a canteen to be honest and expensive for a canteen. The great thing is the area and the view at the river. They could at least buy some descent chairs not the cheap plastic ones.
Good riverside cafe, outside tables and chairs. A wide choice from snacks to substantial meals, all inviting. A good number of outside tables and chairs.
Lovely little cafe on the river side, lots of outside seating under the shade of trees. Peaceful.
Very good coffee and lovely views.
Very rude staff and bad customer service. I mentioned to them I was waiting for a soft drink order and the guy shouted at me saying "I told you its in the fridge!". Dont think they like people of colour.. The cakes were dry and tasteless, and their seating outside is old and rusted, even sitting on the floor would have been better.
This is such a cute cafe that’s slightly hidden away under the bridge arches. It’s got a huge open space opposite the river which is perfect for watching the world go by. Cakes were decent, vegetable samosas to die for. Good oat flat white. My only criticism is the outside could really do with some love. Plastic seats which are mostly cracked, table with paint chipped off & random bins all over the place. If there was some flowers, proper seating etc it would actually be magical over looking the bridge. But overall a great little cafe.
Rude staff, Was in the que waiting the lady clearly saw me, then as I got closer she questioned me asking was I in the que, which I found rude as she saw me standing in a que, bought an ice cream and chai latte, the lady charged me for 2 ice creams I had realised and said I only got one ice the lady tip toed over the counter to look in my hand and pockets then refunded me the £2.50, they made me feel very uncomfortable, don’t expect good service if your a person of colour.
Nice place in Richmond on the river. Theatre are few pastries and salads ,nice coffee and nice place to seat outside under the three and watch the river. Good for a coffee I would say
One of the few places open at 7.30am on a Saturday. Great oat flat white and fresh croissant to round off a walk in Richmond Park 12/10
Excellent choice of tasty vegan and vegetarian meals and snacks. Plenty of seating inside as well as under the shade of the trees beside the river. Good prices
Favourite spot to people watch!Thankful to have somewhere have tasty gluten free dessert options that are not just "the brownie".
Situated right by Richmond bridge handy place to stop for a coffee/snack.b
Such a lovely riverside cafe. Getting seated in not usually too difficult. Food is very good quality, not cheap but good value.
Excellent place to chill out and have a chat with someone, or just hang out by yourself. The view couldnt be better right next to Richmond Bridge with a huge terrace.Coffee is very good, and the atmosphere is friendly.
Very crowded at weekends especially when the weather is nice. Coffee and food are decent but nothing really special about them. Just a perfect spot to sit by the water.
Lovely cakes and good selection of cold sodas and drinks. And large outdoor riverside table area to watch the world go by...
Usually a great place to drink coffee - shame they are forcing everyone to follow veganuary. Wont be returning until I have options on the milk I want in my coffee. Oats are often processed on the same equipment used for making wheat products.Because of that fact gluten contamination is often inevitable. In fact, it’s possible that even certified gluten-free oats may cause a bad reaction in some people who have celiac disease...
Really nice location and food was really good. Mostly (allplant based. So chilled
Popped in here after a long walk. Wasnt expecting such good food and even nice coffee. Plant based menu is solid and the salad was fresh and tasty. Excellent and speedy service - I had tried to stop at Rick Steins down the river path, but after being ignored for ten minutes I came here, and Im glad I did.
Not a bad spot on the riverside of Richmond. The vegetarian quiches and pies looked good. Chose a salad Bar which was fresh and a good sized portion for just over a Fiver. Seating outside under tree could use a face lift though and it would be magic.
Great coffee, cakes and lots more :nice stop on the river bank during a beautiful walk along the Thames River
Great service. Amazing views when eating on the terrace. Downsides are road noise from the bridge, odd table design.Quite expensive.Love the food here.Food eaten :Veggie samosaSpinach and ricotta roll with a side salad, mostly Greek salad.Drinks :Peach and ginger kombuchaRed orange san pelegrino
Huge open space to sit outside next to the Thames. Plenty of vegan options. Great, happy service. Good prices. The perfect cafe
Perfect people watching or to meet family and friends after lockdown, tides tables cafe have an amazing array of vegetarian cuisine and scrumptious desserts Richmonds residents bolt hole to pass an hour away
This place is usually packed. They have good service , food and beverages are affordable.Black coffee and vegan suusages are good.I totally love their samosas. Their salad is decent but expensive.I usually visit this place for the view! Richmond riverside looks just beautiful. The best part, one can use their tables and chairs even if you dont buy anything from their cafe.
Postig a view from outside the cafe on a crisp December 2020 morning. Great service... was asked in detail about what I was after when I said "wet latte"! 🙄🙂 Great tasting coffee, generous size ... Will be back!
Not really happy. Food wasn’t worth the price. Not too nice service. No toilets available. I don’t think it’s worth going there.
A really nice stop on a day out. Attentive staff, lots of outdoor seating, the salad we had was highly praised. Popular cafe that does things right so it can get quite busy.
Great spot alongside the Thames in Richmond. Seating indoors and out. Good slection of vegan and gluten-free treats. I had a delicious chocolate cake and equally good cappuccino. Reasonably priced, very good quality. Lovely place to stop off at during a walk along the Thames. Outdoor seating enjoys great views and is a perfect spot for people watching! Sit back and relax with some tasty food and drinks and watch the world go by...
Coffee & cakes by one of the best outdoors spaces in London.Outdoor Tables Cafe faces Richmond bridge, under a protected Tree as high as you can think, you are allowed to bring your own food and drink and enjoy their hospitality (tables and chairsand sit and enjoy the sun whilst watching the boats sailing at the River Thames.Opposite is the boat hire, quite interesting and restful watching them cleaning and repairing the boats, and tourists hiring them, sailing away.To be honest, enjoy their delicious vegan tasties and coffee, and enjoy the views.Tide cafe is a friendly place.Part of Richmond and enhances the utopia of Londons open places. Support them by buying something and enjoy the visit, watching people go by the River edge overlooking the Ancient Richmond Bridge, under of one of the tallest trees in London
Plant based food. Salad was fresh and pasty was tasty. Location is amazing. Staff is super friendly.. love this place.Only drawback maybe is price. It is bit higher than you expect.
Its probably the coffee shop with the most beautiful views of the River Thames and Richmond bridge but in my opinion they should invest in replacing the chairs and the tables .
Beautiful side cafe. Make sure to go on a good day to enjoy the outdoor river view under the trees. I was impressed by the coffee also.
The Tide Tables Cafe was one of our favourite places in Richmond (if not *the* favourite!). Home-made food, nice staff, and incredible location. Having a coffee in Autumn is so different from another in Spring, and all are so beautiful!
A relaxing spot to unwind by the river. You dont need to purchase food or a coffee to sit in their outdoor area, but it is far more enjoyable if you do. Mind the hungry and fearless birds!
On a sunny afternoon this cafe spread out over the park was a great place for a cup of tea and just watch the world go by. Lots of tables and lots of seats so it doesnt feel crowded. Come here to read your book and just watch the river. Reasonable selection of nibbles.
Unique cafe located under a bridge in Richmond. A popular place to sit outdoors and people/river watching in good weather.
