Tiberias Hostel in Al Burayj

Not a great or clean place to stay. Very noisy street and quite smelly.The manager was helpful and friendly.

This is a basic hostel but is very well located . I would give them 5 stars if they turn AC on common areas ( it was like 100 degrees inside the building.Good thing their rooms have AC! There is no parking on premises but there is a free parking lot a block away if you are lucky to find a spot.

Been meaning to write this for a while. I do not recommend this place, but if youre in Tiberius and want to save some money, and also potentially meet some young travelers, this is probably the place for you. But be warned, hospitality-wise, you get what you pay for.I spent 3 nights July of 2019, and immedialy coming into my dorm, I noticed that even the slightest movement on the bed resulted in an unbearably loud screech. I brought this up immediatley to see if either I could change rooms or if this could be fixed, as numerous times throughout the night, if either me or my bunkmake made the slightest movement, it was like an alarm clock going off for the whole room. It was impossible to sleep. It took them a day for them to attempt to "fix it," and they were not successful...great.What really drove me to write this review though was a false accusation from either the owner or manager of the hostel. He accused me of hopping over the counter and messing around with papers and whatnot at the front desk late at night. I would never do something like that, I was hanging out on the roof the night before. He was so accusatory and to prove what I did, he showed me the security footage of the incident. It was clear as day that this was someone else. The person didnt look anything like me. He apologized but as a man in customer service, if youre going to accuse a customer of something, and do it with a snarky tone, you better be damn sure youre right.Whoever that was (either manager or owner), I was told by the female volunteers that he had an attitude, and would sometimes enter their dorm room without knocking or asking. For all he knew they could have been changing!Next time I am in Tiberius, I will 100% be staying at a different hotel and not this place. I really have never had such a terrible experience at a hotel/hostel in my entire life. That being said, if you want to save money and meet travelers, and dont mind the potential to deal with the BS I described above, Id check this place out. 2 stars out of 5.

Great place and the people here are very helpful! I will always stay here if I visit Sea of Galilee. You wont regret.

Very nice rooms with private bathrooms. Everything very clean including the spacious kitchen and very nice public spaces. The rooftop was awesome too - just the music was not very nice and a bit too loud

Well equipped kitchen and nice community room. There even is a large roof terasse which is is especially nice at nighttime. We stayed in a private room for 3 people which was small, but very clean and tidy - same as the bathroom.The staff is very friendly and we got to know a lot of other young people

Kind and helpful people with decent rooms. The location is pretty central with the bus station at a walking distance. A wonderful view of the Sea of Galilee awaits.

Not only the location is ideal, but also the hostel is pretty well equipped and clean.Im a returning costumer, I also stayed there in 2018, and then as well as now I can say that among the staff, Polona is truly essential.She provides very attentive service and is always warm and welcoming. Cant imagine the hostel without her help.

Spacious hostel only steps from the kinneret. Large kitchen and bathroom. Beautiful rooftop with an amazing view. The hostel is spotlessly clean. The cameras, and keyed entry made me feel very secure. Staff were wonderful. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in northern Israel.

We stayed here for 2 nights. We liked the fact this hostel is so central. It was just a 5 minutes walk to the boulevard. The room was nice. It had AC, a good bed and mini fridge. The bathroom could use an update in our opinion. It was little noisy outside the room, but its a hostel so we couldnt expect silence at night. There was complimentary coffee and tea all day which is nice. Breakfast was included but not very special. Some bread, a few spreads and some veggies. Fine for a short eating moment to start the day though. The hosts of the hostel were very friendly and informative about things to do in the area.
