I hadnt been to this place in years and I picked a terrible evening to make a come back. Brazilian elections evening.Service was super slow. It took me more then 30 minutes to get a coxinha that I had to pay for in advance and in the end it was partially frozen inside. I have been to much busier pubs and the service wasnt that slow. They seemed to have enough people behind the bar and everyone looked busy (although some did not look phased by the waiting crowds and were just moving really slow). I really dont know what the problem was but the tables were dirty, no one actually clearing plates. Took me 20 minutes to get a drink from the moment I reached the front bar area to order. There was no music.I only stayed for about an hour and left. No music and unable to eat or drink... Whats the point?

I found it quite interesting. Quite a few dishes that I didn’t know and it was a pleasure to try them and most of them very very tasty. The atmosphere is all right. Even if they were starting to play some love music. The stuff is not the friendliest to be honest.

Really nice place with authentic Brazilian food and friendly staff. Perfect place to listen to Brazilian music while eating tapas. The coxinhas are a must!!! My friend Gustavo loved the place so much he didnt want to leave and we had to drag him out! Strongly recommend!!

Great place to have an authentic Brazilian meal. The waitress was friendly and acknowledgeable; very well done caipirinha and delicious food. We ordered fried cassava and vegan feijoada, and the latter was well above our expectations. Looking forward to visiting there again

We absolutely loved the place. The food was delicious and staff extremely friendly. Thanks to Kel and her colleagues. I hadn’t had a Original beer in year and it a nice treat though I did go back to Guinness quickly. Lovely selection of platers and enjoyed the chicken hearts with onions and farinha a lot.The only annoying thing is that we don’t have a Tia Maria here in Cambridge…food for thought?Also, maybe some normal Skol even in cans would be nice.Thanks for a lovely night. We were there some months back, unfortunately the food, drinks were disappointing because nothing tasted very fresh. There may have been an issue with the servers, it seemed there werent enough people.

Tia Maria Restaurant in London is a magnificent place to go and to be. Its not a place to go and thats it, it is for us to go and truly stays there present to the sincere good vibe, good service, reasonable political views. Yes, the restaurants, bookshops, any business can share and support whoever they think is the best candidate or politician on their views.Tia Maria serves a delicious food, they have, always excellent quality of music with wonderful musicians, it is definitely a place to be!

Amazing place, the food is incredible and the atmosphere is friendly and festive with a lot of music and dancing. One of the best evenings of my life. Too many caipirinhas but also beautiful memories to keep! Keep going!

One of the best Brazilian restaurants in London. Went with a big group which meant that we managed to order almost all bites of the menu and I tell you, everything was delicious! The only sad part was not being able to have a caldo de cana, but Ill be back for that some other day.

On Friday 29th July I went with my girlfriend for the first time to this place. We arrived and immediately the reception disappointed us, the security lady looked at us very badly, no one greeted us. I asked for my reserved table and one of the 3 girls who work at the place finally made me sit down. After 20 minutes of waiting I go to the counter to ask if someone would come to take the order and the girl tells me I have to do it myself, at which point I would have already left but I stayed. I ask for 3 starters and 2 main, I ask the waitress not to bring tt together. After another 20 minutes I get the food together with starters and main without a drink, another 10 minutes to figure out who had to make me the drinks. Unprecedented service, dirty place, the bathroom door didnt close. Apart from all my burger was raw and cold I eat half of it my girlfriend leaves it whole. I pay and leave immediately. Arriving home after a couple of hours I start to feel sick in my stomach, I have been sick until today for food poisoning. I contacted the local authorities for a check. I advise you to stay away from these places. In addition, I also paid £ 10 for the service. Attention Attention

Most Unhygienic place I have been to in a very long time dont know how the kitchen is still open .plates came dirty and cutlery.very unorganised 3 of us went in to eat 2 of us got our food and one of us didn’t so we didn’t start eating until the 3rd person got there food too.A whole 2hours later! food still hasn’t come and we told the so called manger where is her food 3rd time we asked she came on the floor shouting at us saying we are not allowing her to do her job -_- have never been disrespected by a member of staff in my life she told another member of staff to bring the bill and tried to charge us for food that’s hasn’t even came we asked to speak to the own then she tried to say she was and funny thing was we who the actual own is it’s a shame the place use to be a very good place but this staff member is definitely ruining the whole place smhCobwebs everywhere tooIt’s a real shame

First time in this space.I liked the happy atmosphere and the live music.I just found the bar service a bit disorganized (I asked for a drink (2xand never received it).However, I plan on going back there soon.

Tried different Brasilian dishes, and i have to say im quite impressed. Food is good and the price is good as well. Just one thing to say about the ribs, they feelt like reheated but still delicious.

We booked a table last night at 7:00 with a friend. We arrived and they gave us a table that barvollava and it was not possible to eat using it. I asked to change it to the waitress (the girl with long hairand with little elegance she "allowed us to change tables". It’s been another ten minutes and no one’s come to ask us what we wanted to order.I went to the same waitress again and she said that she would send someone, another ten minutes no one arrived (it was already 7.30), I went to ask another girl (helmet hairand she came to get the order.We said what we wanted and the girl said that the kitchen would open after 20 minutes (it was already 7.40and in the while she could bring the coxinhas. Coxinhas arrived, chatting the time passed when I see, however, that a table arrived after us already ate. I wait another five minutes (it was 8.20and I go to ask for explanations but also the bill to be paid because we did not want to stay there anymore being not treated well.The girl communicates that a new order had to be made for the food and the order had not been taken. Quite ridiculous as a situation and without any professionalism. Obviously we decided to pay and leave. This happened yesterday, where in that hour and ten minutes I could see that many people were inside the club in overcoats because we were all cold and the heating was not on.I don’t recommend this place at all.Honestly I am very disappointed and bitter about all this and I asked to talk to the manager but I was told that there was no one there.

Horrible service and experience. Second time we went there and will be the last. Shame there are not many other options in the area; I guess that’s the reason of the staff not caring about customers. Our table wasn’t ready when arrived, one of our orders (which was already paidgot lost and never arrived and after waiting for more than 2 hours the staff was rude and unfriendly.Don’t recommend going there for dinner at all.

My friend and I had a table booked for dinner on Saturday night. We turned up 10 minutes early and stood at the bar. 20 minutes went by and we had been totally ignored. The bar staff were serving customers who arrived after us. When I went over to the bar staff to point this out again I was looked at and then ignored. This restaurant seems to only have custom from locals and those who speak Portuguese. Really disappointing, would not recommend.

Fun atmosphere, great food and big portions. We shared a load of tapas between 4 people and couldnt finish it all, yet wed only spent £15 each. Live music is really fun and draws a crowd.

Very friendly staff, great food and menu. Plus an excellent blues band on Tuesday nights fronted by Julian Burdock, who just happens to be a world renowned guitarist.
