ThunderZone Pizza and Tap House - Pizza restaurant in Pueblo, United States
Only plays 3 nfl games at a time on sundays. Won’t be back to watch what I can at home lol.
Pizza and wings are always a go-to here. Good selection of beers and seltzers/ciders. Have been for lunch and dinner, everything has been good.
Always a good experience. Good food at a reasonable price. Very diverse menu. Pizza is better than average. Lots.of drink options including excetbeer selection. This is on our short list of go-tos.
Going to be honest in didnt know what to expect when I ordered. But all the sandwiches were $15. So I opted for the philly over the BLT. The food was visually appealing and smelled food coming to the table. It was hot and fresh. I really enjoyed the cheese steak sandwich. Very good flavor. It definitely was not "philly" cheese steak, if youre looking for that there are better places to go. But I dont think you could complain about this sandwich. I will be back and try other items on the menu. Update: My third visit to the restaurant and I wish I could add another star. Food was hot fresh and delicious. Service was also good. What more could a guy ask for?
We hosted my daughter-in-law and sons baby shower here with about 15 guests. The patio was just perfect. Though still slightly warm outside, the patio covering and the breeze made it really pleasant. There is also a nice sitting area with patio couches which created an intimate environment perfect for opening gifts. Our server, Jasmin, was such a friendly happy young lady that helped us set up by moving and cleaning tables. The owner, Ryan, came out to check on us before our party started to make sure we had everything we needed. There was a game on the patio that my granddaughter just loved, making the party fun for everyone - no matter their age! There was also plenty of room for my son to play hacky sack with the girls around the corner. The food was really good! We ordered a couple of sampler appetizers and some pizza. The little bread cheese pesto bites were the crowd favorite. Pizza was delicious!I would completely do another event here. It was just perfect.
Dining in is a great experience but pickup is terrible.. Im literally going g back to the restaurant for the 3rd time and its my fault I should hv double checked my pizza before I left.. but this is the Togo sampler? Half burnt cheese curds and nasty fried pickles??? Plus I was given the wrong pizza. I love thunderzone but damn!darn!! Seriously?
If you have not been here, go! It is over by the college but not a college kid hangout. More blue collar workers than anything. We went for endless wings night on Wednesday and spent $21 with 2 oatmeal stout beers + wings. For recession and inflation pricing, was not bad.Atmosphere was good, music wasnt over bearing (just right amount), wait staff was attentive + helpful, and will absolutely be back.Only real negative was the menu was old and I kept picking beers they didnt have any longer, but that is ONLY negative. Take Troy exit around as Google maps (if coming from Mall side of highwaywill wind you around the college campus itself. The Thunderzone Original sauce is a great one and the ghost pepper wings have a great heat + flavor to them.
Ive only gone there twice its worthless service Ive had The waitress didnt know what was on the menu the cook didnt put half the stuff on my sandwich Ill never go back
Best pizza in town! Good deals on drinks and Tuesday pizza night.
Food was great, had a slopper!Drinks expensive....Not sure how college students could afford to eat here much and its next to the campus. 4 beers 2 meals $60 + tip
Great food and friendly staff, wings Wednesday is the best
Had the French Dip with fries. It was ok. The appetizer was the fried cheese. It was exceptional different and worth a try. My daughter said that the Bacon cheeseburger was ok.
Its alright, we waited 10 min to be served, it was busy, our server was aight, food was good, my beers werent the coldest, but our server pepped up and was pretty attentive in the 3rd qtr. So yeah, young kids, serving a guy whos done it.
If I could leave negative stars I would. This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant period. We waited for an outrageous amount of time to even order. The waitress said it was her first day, and I first I did feel bad for her, but it just got worse. The Mac n cheese was not edible. I’m not a picky person but it had no sauce literally at all. The lunch meat was bad in my friends sandwich and my other friends hamburger had nothing but meat and mushrooms, no lettuce no tomato, no cheese and no sauce if any type. The ‘loaded’ fries had some hormel bacon bites and sad dried up cheese. When I told the waitress I wasn’t going to pay for the Mac n cheese she could take it back, she didn’t ask why or apologize just a sour look. The manager came over and asked if giving me sauce would make me want to keep my order but why wouldn’t it just come with sauce instead of just plain noodles with four cheese if cheese??? When we went to pay, she ran both tickets on my card, hard to be told several times what the issue was and the cheer on top of the cake, after leaving for awhile comes back and asks if we can just cash app each other instead of fixing the issue. I paid $47 for this circus and left hungry. Don’t go Pueblo has so much more to offer.
Ordered over phone 3 pies . Went to pick up and 4 staff members would not come see me . I waited over 20min and said I had a order . Nobody helped me so I left and called to talk to manager and they said she was busy. She called back told her situation and she asked if I was at correct restaurant. I told her in detail who was there . I was on my way back to work. She told me the pizza was there waiting in a rude manner . I said she could keep them and I would tell my fellow employees not to go there. I recommend not ordering from there if that is the service they provide
Pepsi 100 days of summer rally and this place did not disappoint. I had never been but my boss and 1 other coworker love this place. Had an order placed for the Pepsi team to arrive at 330 from a meeting across the street at 2. All of us so happy to enter the atmosphere and environment. Wait staff extremely attentive!! Food OMFG!!! Every single slice was gone!!! I mean gone. Amazing!! Live out in pwest and what do u know, one right here. Gonna check that joint out!
🔥🍻WING WEDNESDAY🤘🐤 Good tap house awesome selection of wet and dry bone in chicken wings. Good place to catch a Nuggets game 🏀
This place is quickly becoming my go-to place! Love the atmosphere, and the food is awesome. I love pizza, and these guys are spot on with their pizzas! Friendly wait staff, fabulous beer...what more could you want!! They also make some pretty mean sandwiches! Stop by for a great meal, and watch a game or two on the big screen TVs!!
Ordered two pizzas and both of them were burnt and had a little to no sauce. We were unable to even eat them so waste of money.
Good atmosphere. Had the pizza and wings. Both were on point. The ghost pepper wing sauce is for real!
The food is good. Got to watch the game. The service was so-so considering the automatic 20% gratuity. Four different parties, however we totaled 8 when added together.
Food was really good. We will not hesitate to go back. The staff was super friendly. I ordered a personal pizza with pepperoni, banana peppers and green chili. They offer offer Sriracha as a topping.
Thunderzone Original sauce are the best wings! Plus they have Walters Green Chili Beer on tap!
Cool place to eat. Alot of space, tons of tvs, super nice helpful staff, clean, good food and reasonable prices. Not to mention my son works there😁
Decent place to come hang out, drink and eat. The food isnt exceptional but its pretty good. The drinks were great. We were a group of about 12 people. So I cant exactly remember what everyone ordered. But Ill try: I ordered the el diablo personal pizza which was hot as advertised but not spicy. So I liked it but I wouldve preferred a multitude of spice layers leading to a "spicy" adverb for this pizza. There were burgers which were good and calzones which were excellent. We also ordered the Wristos creation wings which were delicious and I highly recommend. The fried pickles were great too!! Among the drinks, I got a Moscow mule that I was happy with. We did a few shots that included a green tea one and something else. I know this isnt a super helpful review but overall, this is a nice place to have fun!
Their food is always really good, and they have a pretty nice beer menu.. Workers generally seem friendly. All in all a great experience, and I def look forward tongoing back again.. A++
A mediocre spot near the CSU-P stadium. As a Canadian a bit of an odd experience. Built to feed the football fans for the stadium next door. The palce was busy at lunch with no game on. So obviously the locls like it. The food was just ok. The staff on the other hand were very good.
This place is always a nice place to just get away for an hour or two it Is a great hang out spot for college kids i dont speak from experience but they and all the other customers and employees are always filled with joy I will continue to go with this place they have great food and service consider this a good dinner date environment the atmosphere is amazing. Again I love this place.
I really dont like pizza all that much. Most places in Pueblo are meh, but this pizza was really good! There was a lot of cheese on it. Very pleased with the taste. Beer was great as well. I will be back!Edit: Sorry, I had to dock a star. After I talked up this place to my dad he wanted to order a pizza. I called multiple times and left a message and just couldnt get anyone to answer. I finally gave up after about 40 minutes and ordered Pizza Hut instead.Edit #2: I added a star back. I took my dad in this time for his Birthday and the whole experience was excellent. The food came out quick and tasted great. The pizza was quite cheesy which is always a plus. Tyler was our waiter tonight. He was awesome and needs a raise! One of the best waiters Ive ever had.
We were there for 2 hours and only checked on 3 times. Once to get our drink order, once to get our food order and the third time to send my food back because what I received was not what I ordered. We sat with our card and ticket for 45 minutes. Our waitress (who I didn’t even care to learn her namelooked at us every time she walked in the door from the patio and ignored us. When confronted about the bill she tried to argue that the boneless wings and the traditional wings were the same price and it was the kitchens mistake. She “fixed” the problem by charging us the same amount as the first ticket hoping we wouldn’t notice. Service was absolutely terrible and won’t be back again.
Our food was pretty good, but unfortunately our order was very wrong. The person ahead of us had their order wrong too, plus our tickets got mixed up. They charged us for someone else’s order and visa versa. They fixed it and we went over our order again, but when we got home our order was STILL wrong. Didn’t get two entrees we ordered and the wrong flavor of wings. So if you’re picking up, double check your order and receipt. The food we did get was pretty good however, and we will probably try again, but maybe in person.
Our favorite sports bar in Pueblo. Food is awesome, the beer is fresh and the service is excellent. There’s plenty of newer TVs to watch the game on. If they mess something up, they more than make up for it.
Love the food, but the website says they close at 10pm on i think Sunday through Wednesday. Its Wed. And they closed at 8pm. Idk why they close so early. Especially with the sun going down between 8pm and 9pm now, a lot of people dont eat dinner until 9pm/10pm. It just seems like if you put all the effort into opening a restaurant, youd stay open at reasonable times of the season to make that bag. Sucks.
Amazing kind service. Service was attentive and quick. Amazing sides that were mouthwatering. The wings were great! All the food we ordered was great quality. It is a great find of a restaurant
Great wings, cold beer and not at all packed.
Food and drinks were great! Our server was friendly, made suggestions and overall was AMAZING!!! Well definitely be returning!!
Great pizza and wings. The pizza crust was delicious, cripy, and soft cooked just right with all the toppings that had flavor. Didnt get to try any beer but Im sure they are also delicious.
Stopped in to meet up with my lady and a couple friends. Didnt stay long but this place seemed like a pretty cool spot to enjoy watching sports or a good bite to eat. All while enjoying a cold drink, while catching up with friends. Will have to stay and enjoy the atmosphere a bit longer next time.
12.49 dollars for this and they charge 1.00 plus tax on salad dressingI am one for supporting our local business but this is ridiculous and not only that they dont even have the same menu as the other thunderzone. I wont be going back
5 stars time 100. We are from the Springs but had a get together at a friends house down in Pueblo which they had Pizza and Wings from Thunder Zone. You guys....I had to go by here on my way home to pick up wings to take home with me. EASILY...the best wings Ive had. We have great wings here on the south side of Colorado Springs, but Pueblo just never disappoints in the food department and this place was AMAZING!!!!
I would give this place 10 stars if I could, we came up from Trinidad for Wing Wednesday and it was a phenomenal time. We wound up being seated and taken care of by the owner, a really nice guy. The all you can eat wings are an awesome deal and trying all the different sauces and rubs made the experience fun and they are all delicious! We will definitely be back!
It was my 1st time here and I had a blast. The food was decent pricing but you got your money worth it. The perfect place to grab a quick bite or some drinks with family and friends and, if your a sports fan its definitely the place to go to enjoy the game 10 times more. The workers are very friendly & welcoming. This is my new spot ill be attending regularly.
The service and food was the worst ever!!! We called in before we went in to eat the all you can eat wings on Wednesdays, and the person who answered phone fail to mention that there were no traditional wings left so of course when we got there is when they informed us of the traditional Wing shortage. They then let us order the all-you-can-eat bone out wings which takes over 30 minutes to get to us only to figure out that they were very cold the waitress then tells us oh yeah we are also out of the bone out wings for the all-you-can-eat which was the main reason we came then had the nerve to tell us that they could take a couple dollars off for the inconvenience needless to say we paid well over $50 for food that we did not eat and that was cold was my first and last time there will not recommend this place for anyone the only good thing I can say is that the view from the patio is beautiful but we did not come for the view.
Service was not very good. Food was delicious, thankfully. Place wasnt busy, Ive worked in the industry for over 25 years, 20 in mgmt. Never saw your manager. The place was less than full and we had to wait 5 minutes to get sat, of which they finally said to go find a table(?). Took over 10 minutes from when we ordered our beers to get them, food took awhile as well. Asked for waters three times. Just very disorganized and not well ran. What really irked me was one of the servers was smoking outside, disgusting! Youre in the food industry, should not allow smoking, especially in the front area, I dont want to see that. I ran a nonsmoking environment, its not that hard, I highly suggest you look at this. I dont think Ill go back, wasnt a good experience. Im from out of town and I was surprised how bad the service was a few people recommended you, maybe its a local thing(?)
Best wings in Pueblo! Garlic parmesan are my personal favorite. We had a fairly big party from work but our server was AMAZING and attentive, never had an empty glass for long. The atmosphere is bright, family friendly and the music isnt so loud that you cant hear the conversation. Definitely recommend this place!
Food is good but man oh man does the wait staff need some work. Our waitress spent most of the night at a table where her friends were. She took our order without writing it down and it came out wrong, she didnt offer a refill until the end of our meal and I had to ask a different server for our ticket. If they wait staff had some good training, this place would be awesome.
One of my favorite places in town. Their menu is extensive but not overwhelming, and its a great fit for families with diverse tastes. Pizza, burgers, sandwiches, salads, pasta, and it all tastes great and comes out hot.It can get fairly crowded on game nights; there are a lot of TVs all around, and the restaurant itself is broken up into half bar seating, half tables, so you may find yourself waiting a bit if you come at a popular time. But its usually pretty quiet since its out near the CSU-P campus rather than in a busy downtown area.
Great service and good was hot and delicious!! Took my family to lunch on a Thursday afternoon and I was pleasantly surprised by quality of dood and service. Gabby was awesome and food arrived piping hot and delicious. Not huge burgers or anything , regular portion sizes and well done. I look forward to going back!
The food here is awesome!!Not keen on the restaurant itself, but I like the food and the generous portions. The variety of beers is impressive.Hubby and I shared an appetizer, I had a soup, he had a salad. We split an entree and dessert. We did bring home some of the entree to save room for dessert.A great night out.
Very good service and nice atmosphere. The only problem we had was the pizza. Were from Chicago where authentic deep dish pizza is found. We ordered a pan pizza thinking it would be good but it wasnt. If youve never had real deep dish pizza from Chicago then youll probably enjoy this pizza. I give this 3 stars for the great service but not for the pizza.
