Eighteenth century coaching inn with open fires and a country garden, serving a global menu.
Staff extremely helpful, good honest pub food, well priced, and all in nice surroundings
Gorgeous birthday meal today. We all loved our food. Thank you. Lovely friendly staff.
Seriously friendly staff. Great food. Would have given 5 stars but the chicken on sticks was seriously dry. The chunky fries though were amazing! 😊
Lovely pub. Went for breakfast which was very good and good value. Excellent service from start to finish. Dog friendly as well.
Unfortunately I was at the 3 horseshoe for a wake, but the Its a lovely pub and function rooms, bar staff were very friendly and the outside function room perfect for partys and opens up to a lovely garden.
Went into this place for first time today with my partner. We both had sausage and mash which was to die for, superbly cooked, superbly presented and it tasted amazing. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
Called in for lunch, spacious well kept establishment.Had the chicken, bacon & avocado sandwich with fries or chips, there was so much filling it was a meal rather than a snack and was delicious and excellent value, OH had the steak sandwich which was just as filled. Staff were friendly and efficient and whats more its dog friendly too!!! Large outdoor seating area for the warmer days. Will be going back as often as I can!! Can highly recommend.
Nice enough pub.. refurbed and new landlord.. didnt eat but the beer was good
Great place for food and a decent pint here, lots of real ales and lagers to choose from, not the usual 2 or 3 ales or lagers to choose as many decent beers to try, food is really good here
Well working away for a few days and stopping at services with kfc and McDonald’s which is not great. I found this pub and what a find. As soon as I walked in I felt at home. The staff seem very friendly and was ready to take drinks order immediately. Found a table and started to look around at a really nice looking pub very classy but being from the Midlands I didn’t feel out of place. Great selection of beers and the food was to die for pâté to start and a 8 oz rump which was cooked to perfection mushrooms tomatoes and onion rings. Really enjoyed myself here and I think I will come back as soon as I can, maybe bring my wife as food was exceptional. I would give 10 stars if possible. Thank you.
Great food at a decent price
Excellent pub restaurant, the food is great, the staff are friendly and helpful. They have a menu Monday to Friday 3 courses for £14.99 absolutely amazing value. If youre in the area try it yourself, you wont be disappointed.
I thought I’d take my elderly mum out for dinner as she does get out much and we thought we’d try here as mum needed some Birthday cards from the garden centre almost next door. Ordered food and drinks and nice man bought dog water bowl out for my dog. Mum ordered Chicken Schnitzel with triple cooked chunky chips, rocket and lemon wedge. Service was quick but it came with the most anaemic French fries and no rocket. When I showed the waitress the menu so she could see what it should have come with ‘triple cooked chunky chips and rocket’ she just stared and said nothing. After repeating, she took the plate back and came back with what ‘looked’ like triple cooked chips and a heap of extremely wilted rocket! Sadly mum couldn’t eat the chips as they were so dry and the rocket, well you just wouldn’t put that on anyones plate! The chicken was pretty dry too, I think mum had about 3 bites. I had triple roast. It wasn’t hot, just warm. The meats were tender. The tender stem broccoli was very stringy and inedible. Other veg was ok. Roast potatoes were not crispy, just all soft. Yorkshire was ok although a bit dry. Mashed potato didn’t taste like fresh mash, very ‘pastey’ in texture. Unfortunately this put us off ordering a dessert and won’t visit again for food.
Great place to eat if youre near Letchworth. Three wow courses for £14.99. Good size portions and well cooked. I had the Pea and Mint Tortellini, give it a try it was wonderful. Great outdoor space as well but it had just rained so we sat in doors, very comfortable.
Went today for a birthday celebration, all food was great and came out quickly which was a surprise with it being a Sunday. Top marks for service aswell
Had a wonderful afternoon with my family, amazing food an fantastic service. Will def be visiting more often. Thanks to the whole team for a lovely experience.
Just had a really lovely evening with friends, lovely warm welcome, excellent menu choices, meals piping hot and well presented, staff attentive, not pushy, thoroughly recommend that you give this a go.
Services was really good even though they were short staffed. Starter good main meal of snitzel was over cooked ,( 3 portionsoil to hot when cooked hard and very dark in colour . Did complain about the snitzel but no action taken.
Good beer, excellent food - especially the bread and butter fingers in salted caramel dessert
Pit put off by first server, ready to order, what you want, some of party had not even sat down,in fairness next girl who served us great, food exceptional.
Lovely large pub with very attractive outside space.Staff were very friendly, pleasant and helpful.Food was excellent, hot and well presented.Starter menu was very good with a good selection. Main menu good and desert menu good.Would definitely recommend.
Food was okay but service was very slow. Had to ask staff to come over to the table for mains and dessert order.
Lovely reasonable priced lunch time menu for those on a budget. Plus staff great and accommodating
Lovely pub, that has had a great refurb!! Excellent staff, and great prices! Wonderful outdoor seating area!!
A lovely garden area with shaded parts. Good service & attentive staff. Our Chicken, Bacon & Avecado Sandwiches & Chunky Chips were delicious.Highly recommend!
What a wonderful evening, we havent been in since before the pandemic when the kitchen was Thai ( that was disappointing).Staff were lovely, the food was hot and well presented. We ordered the prawn and calamari duo and the southern fried chicken goujons to start, followed by monterey jack & honey glazed bacon burgers and we shared Eton mess for dessert. Will definitely be back and if I could give an extra star it would be thay they welcome dogs. Only remembered to take one picture 😊 sorry.
We visited here for a wedding party which lasted all afternoon until midnight. The staff were absolutely amazing and looked after us all and went above and beyond to make everyone happy. The food was lovely. Definitely a great choice of venue to celebrate an event or enjoy a quiet drink or meal.
Had an amazing experience. The food and drinks were lovely. Matt provided great hospitality, very friendly and attentive through the whole evening
Just been for dinner. Food is so slow. Dozens of bar staff no one cooking. Things must change. Manager is your only saviour. Food was ok but not worth the waitGet suitable staff in the kitchen. We have been several times same problem
Visited today at around 11.30, first time since the referbishment. Had the Full English breakfast which was delicious, plentiful and for only £6.99 a bargain. Staff were amazing, friendly and attentive.Garden is fantastic, so peaceful at quieter times, lovely to sit in and have birdsong in the background. Will definitely become our pub of choice from now on. Thank you.
Nice out of town pub with plenty of space indoors and out. New menu also interesting. Food was good and will explore more.
What a lovely pub. Decorated to a high standard inside and out. There is a great outdoor space for adults and a separate garden area for kids to run around while parents enjoy a drink. The new manager Steve is great and the staff were efficient, helpful and friendly . Thank you to Jamie and Daisy for looking after us so well. You cant go wrong with the food here as it is part of the Stonegate group, although I would love to see jacket potatoes on the menu. The breakfast menu looks really good so will get there before 12 to sample that menu next time. A great place to visit on a day out or for a special occassion. ROB &JEN
Dirst meal xhoise was notbavailable. Scampi and chips.... Not well presented. Chips were very over done as were peas... would eat there again
Seriously great food, found the timings of food can be a little slow but I understood that the kitchen are still learning the menu to make it perfect. Fantastic customer service and I urge everyone to visit when they have the chance. Such lovely people and the garden is very nice for the summer sunshine! Will be going as often as I can! 5 stars all around.
What a shambles last night. After 30 years in the catering industry i have never experienced anything like this. What was supposed to be my mothers Birthday celebration ended up a disappointment from start to finish . I will never return & I will urge people not to go there . You clearly have no idea of customer service & one member of your staff was rude & obnoxious
Used to be quite good for Sunday roasts. It now appears to be a chain. It’s cheaper, but much less nice and much smaller portions with meat and Yorkshire puddings that look like they came straight out of the freezer from Iceland.
Lovely family pub, beautiful decor and wonderful service. I enjoyed the honey glazed bacon sandwich and a coffee for breakfast.10/10 would come again
Warm welcome from New landlords Steve & Amy, good to see old staff (Angstill here and smiling, as well as new staff Katie and Daisy. All friendly, were attentive without being intrusive. Food was well presented and fresh. *hint* spread the chilli butter over all the chicken snizchel as soon as it arrives so you enjoy it over all of it. 😉
Good service, wonderful coronation chicken sandwich .Only thing was, someone tried to take my plate before I was finished!Nice atmospere, lady helped with advising for a plant choice for my God daughter. Parking good for a smaller garden center.
A very large, traditional pub, not to be confused with its smaller neighbour with the same name in Willian. Really nicely appointed in dark wood, with log fires and lots of different seating areas. The restrooms were spotlessly clean too, which is sadly a rarity these days.Would have preferred more choices of real ales (only Doombar and Harvey’s were on offer on a Sunday lunchtime). Staff were really friendly and so was the pub cat, Reggie! Didn’t try the food as we’d had a big breakfast elsewhere, but would definitely have lunch next time.
Lovely outside area. Managers / owners were not around. The food looked really nice but had no flavour at all so was quite disappointing. The bar man was not friendly and rather grumpy which is not what a person wants to experience when they go out.
Went here for a Friday dinner.Nothing but excellence, the service was quick, polite and extremely professional. The food was beautiful, I had the chicken wings and partner had the satay chicken which was perfectly cooked.I had a Thai curry which was also incredibly tasty and my partner had the steak which was perfectly cooked medium rare with a very generous portion of the best hand cut chips I have had in a pub.Gluten free options were available for my partner, which was great. The drinks were good and it was all very reasonably priced. We are looking forward to going back again soon.
Very warm and friendly greeting and the food was beautifully done. I had the hunters chicken. The coleslaw is home made sweet and creamy and the chips crunchy and fluffy inside. 😍
Stunning venue, awesome staff, chilled area. Lovely for family as well. Definitely going back for Sunday roast.
Fantastic friendly staff. Meal was great. I would recommend this great pub/restaurant. As a lorry driver I eat out regularly. I will definitely visit the three horseshoes again . I had the rib eye steak. Melts in your mouth . Well done to all staff and chef ..also landlord is very welcoming. Top Marks sir ...
Im local Campaign for Real Ale publicity officer. Was there to discuss a possible event and was very well received by the publican, John Gohery. The Harveys Best Bitter was near perfect (were perfectionists when it cones to beer!).
Fantastic place, delicious food and incredibly friendly staff. One of the best places Ive eaten at in the UK 💕 would definitely recommend and I will 100% be going back!
Hottest day of the year and a reduced menu as apparently it was too hot for the chef, what I can understand is reduce a menu but dont take the salads off because its hot. I had 20 years in the trade and the chefs never run the pub. Come on guys its common sense no one wants a steak pie when its over 30°C outside. Very poor. My wife had one of the two salads available a tandoori salmon, it was the smallest slither of salmon and the salad could only be described as a garnish, you used to be so good. Even your staff were embarrassed.
Popped in on a visit to Letchworth for something to eat. We ordered a burger each. I had a Falafel Burger and hubby had Three Horseshoes burger with bacon & cheese. I really loved mine (I did ask for no cheesecame with pickle and slaw and chips. Delish burger. Super fresh and hot. Hubby devoured his and loved it!! Great pub food done really well!! Go there you wont be disappointed...
Lovely pub, always good service & food when visiting, beer not cheap but good selection of everything. Nice outdoor seating area & separate events barn
