Thottappally Beach Alleppey - Tourist attraction in Alleppey, India
Beautiful but not well kept... Empty liquor bottles littered everywhere
Its very nice place to visit. Parking area has less space, child friendly and best to family. Evening time is most preferred. Very beautiful place. Comfort station is available. Near to the road. Best ambience. Visited more than five times.
Its a good place to visit there is not so many peoples. While alappy beach is closed there is very rush at that time. There is no parking facilities toilet facilities or anything and the beach is not cleaned too..
Currently a lot of sand excavation is going, not worth for people to come from long. But very less people and few good spots, so small group of friends can enjoy this spot
Didnt like the place😡. Very unhygenic😣. Full of waste and is foul smelling🤢. The water is usually black and is dirty. Not very people visit the place. We wasted a days trip by going there. Recommending not to go there. The place is nothing link the photos shared by other poeple.
Amazing beach!!! The lake meets the sea...a place we have always dreamt off
I used to watch this strip of land connecting the opposite stretches while passing through the bridge, long back. This time I go check and I see a lot of mining and excavation that basically would render the strip non existent, even on a low tide.A lot of hyacinth from the backwater, but all in all should be good for a silent fish stenched sunset :)
Best spot for evening walk...had good people staying over there...no moral police...Can enjoy with friends or family…
Nice beach ND get refreshing climate... But doesnt have clean ND proper maintenance for the development of the beach
Very nice place to enjoy With our friends&familys You must visit when you are came in alapuzha
Had lots of fun with my family and friends... Best place to be with crazy gangs❤Shymas family ❤
Beach is not clean, theres construction going on around the place.
Free access to the beach. Under construction. Awesome to see the merging of Arabian Sea with part of the rivers Achankovil & Pamba. The beach is located west of Thottappally Spillway.
Rush on Vishu (Malayalam New yearday. Expected to encounter the floating wave bridge. But was disappointed to know it has been dismantled and move to Kozhikode beach due to license or permission related approval clearance issue . Also, waves are too strong due to Arabian being prone to high and low tide daily cycles. One must take extra although life guards are present at the beach.
I was just going on my way to Krishnapuram and found this beauty... When In allepey visit this. On the right there is backwaters and on left the Arabian
Pros:Less exploited vast beautiful beachA small parkSand dunesBlack and white sandLess crowdedCons:Lack of adequate parking spaces
Night mode pic below . I thought of a big beach but its not that big small beach
Now beach area is short because kmml digging black sand from thottappally so beautiful beach was destroyed.
The place is little bit crowded in the evenings. And as the soil mining is going on nearby, it wl be difficult to park the vehicles on the roadside. The beach is also not much maintained and there is lots or garbage there on the left side of the beach. So if anyone is planning to visit a beach please go to the right side of the spillway near the harbour. That area is much less crowded and is more nice, and there is much less machinaries nearby that side. Wear a mask alwys when travelling and while on the beach
Beach calls for visiting there with a vast range of strech. But local administration did not provide any modern amenities to invite tourists.
peaceful and scenic beach. There is issue of garbage dumping near it but still its a beauty to get with.loved it. If there was more infrastructure and cleanliness at the park nearby it would have been a heavenly place
Its Bean Good some play areas and nice view
This beach is hided from public... but its looks was so good...nice view and nearby pine area is good... evening is awesome.. pine trees photography nice frame..
Dont go here expecting white sand , shallow beach and high tides for surfing ... This is not a shallow beach, take three steps from the shore, you are in deep water .... Sand is black due the excess mineral content ... But I recommend this place for a peaceful evening outing with family, I like places which are not over commercialised and this fit my bill , after all its a twenty minute ride from my home .. have a good time
Great place! Unfortunately the trail to the beach is maintained badly, with the waste dumped on the sides. Once you reach the place it’s a nice place to spend time.
The place has a lot of potantial to attract tourist. But the bech is so full of wasters and debris. No service available. The wast area is left without proper maintanance dirty beach. No parking space, not even a shop for drinking water, not toilet facilities no guard for security. But natural beauty of this place. Lot of people visiting here on holiday. Not a big tourist place but its aswesome
The most beautiful beach on the Kerala side, close to the National Highway. Here we get a rare glimpse of the sea and lake
Very beautiful location. Lot of Pine trees and nice beach. Near thottappally harbours. Barriers made of rocks and waves are nice scenery and slippery too. And the Beach has lack of street shops.
Magnificent beach with white sand is slightly every body. From Highway to beach road is narrow and unpolished. Beach also is not crowded. Beach is not suitable for swimming besides there is no lifeguard.
Yeah, its a pretty good area to be visited where a spillway between the lake and sea is been constructed and the NH 47 is constructed above the spillway...main route connecting Kochi and Trivandrum. Best of Sunset can be captured from this point.
One of the best beaches I have seen.loved the place. Especially the cleanliness due to few people visiting it and the best time to go is in the evening sun set time. Awesome place. And it is quite near to the national highway too. Also sand is in black colour which is indicates high minerals
Estuary beach. Vemband lake joining to this beach.A small park is near to beach. No parking facilitiesNo toilet facilities
One of the beautiful beache in Kerala, alappuzha. There is a small park, long beach area, pine forest and a good place to watch sunset.
Cant consider it as a beach .. or not yet developed as a beach ... A whole lot of things to be done here .. need govts attention .. like cleanliness ..
One of the best beaches I have seen. Thank loved the place. Especially the cleanliness due to few people visiting it and the best time to go is in the evening. Awesome place. And it is quite near to the national highway too.
Less crowded compared to other beaches in Alleppey, No shops on the beach, usually clean .One can sit back n enjoy the black sand, calm waves and the wind.Theres a Fishing harbour nearby which is a bit of a walk.Only issues is that there is absolutely no parking space.
Its the confluence of lake to seaNot much crowded one section is white sand other black sandNot well maintainedHas a small park tooParking is the problem as road is too narrow
Its a very good place we can see a pine forest near the beach and there is a park in the beach its a awesome beach
This is a very beautiful beach in Alappuzha district,The sea and the lake together unify it different from the other seaside. In fact, this is a man made canalThe childrens park close to the beach attracts more and more families
Nice n calm Beach ..for more details watch Video on YouTubeMy YouTube channel is Keralite Roshan
Must visit beach with great scenery. The beach has small park which is not maintained properly.Beach has good scenic and has beautiful view during low tide.If you walk a bit away from main spot the place is clean and good for spending ☮️ Peaceful time.
Good local evening hangout. Beach is clean . Black sand. Sea can be rough, dont take risk of jumping if you are not a local guy who knows the sea well.
I hesitated to go there first. ITlookes like nobody visits there anymore. BUT i am glad i went.I saw merely 15 people (could be due to rainy season). But there was a horse riding thing going on..there were locals playing volleyball or football..there were 2 vendors selling icecream and groundnut .The bwach is literally clean no plastic..There is an unkempt but beautiful park .And you get a lakeview and a beach so its worth a visitw.THE DOWNSIDES are..The way to beach is covered in litter and liquor bottles.its unkempt and dirty.Once you pass that, its heaven. This review is based on my one visit in monsoon .
Good veiw of merging River and sea. But the place is not up to the mark as a tourist destination. No seating or good lighting and poor hygiene keeps the tourists away
Its a amazing place to visit. its under construction for now. But one of the best place to visit. If u r anywhere near do visit this place .
A really nice beach. Rare view of a river meeting the sea. Might seem abandoned because not many know of this place. The route to the beach is not well maintained and is polluted by dog poo, debris washed ashore by the sea and beer bottles. But the nasty hike is worth it. Parking is available. Do not stay after 6. Also, you can see local fishermen fishing and you can buy freshly caught fish.
Its a spillway, where the lake (kaayaljoins the sea...Very scenic, and windy..Youll find fishermen catching fish at the confluence in a matter of minutes, enjoy the sunset, soak up your feet and soak into the scenery of still waters, waves, trees all at the turn of your head
Its a amazing beach .. u can see the magic in your eyes when u will be there its not to tell in by words ,, go and feel the magic . U can see the meeting of sea and lake while on monsoon time , after that it get closed at that time u can see the beautiful views over there .. i thnk u may go to august last to spetmbr end this time is better for the good views
The . Meeting of sea and backwaters is one of the best view you can see😍
Amazing beach!!! The lake meets the sea...a place we have always dreamt off
