Overhoeksplein 51, 1031 KS Amsterdam, Netherlands, Amsterdam
Attraction featuring a 5D flight simulation with wind & water effects over Holland's famous sights.
They have 3 rides, 2 are mostly an introduction to the Netherlands, the culture, geography etc. But the 3rd ride is amazing, it has sound and smell effects (surprised!Definitely must try!
I really enjoyed the experience. It was very different that I imagined it would be. It was nice to know more about Netherlands history in 5d experience. a unique experience !
I had an immersive audio visual experience in a virtual flight to different Holand cities in different time slots. This experience is enhanced with a great sensation of winds, rain and smell of tulips. I highly recommend this attaction. Make sure to book your ticket online and combine it with Adam Lookout to get the best price.
This place shows you the real amsterdam with an awesome view of its history. The flight in the end is just amazing and you will be amazed by its every bit. Must go for an amazing experience.
Definitely worth visiting. Amazed with technology used to create VR. Highly recommended . Can be visited with family and friends. Its 2 euro discount if you book online😉.
Visited this place yesterday based on reviews. The greatest disappointment was that the video was all blurry- and my guess is that we should have worn glasses since it is 5D. But noone was wearing them and there weren’t any. How come?! And it was a very long introduction while the show itself only was 10 min max. My daughter was very tired of waiting. I wouldn’t recommend this place. T
Quite a fun tourist attraction. The "flight experience" is nice, and the entire place is a good way of getting basic familiarity with the geography of the Netherlands. Great place for kids (who speak English / Dutch)
Great overall experience, The 5D cinema was brilliant, well worth the money and so was the sky lift and the swing ! 10/10 experience
Excellent 5D experience. A quick overview of the Netherlands. Worth a visit once. Tickets are usually a couple of dollars cheaper online. Wait is usually 60-90 mins if purchased at the counter.
Awesome experience. Whole thing takes about an hour including the photos before, and the two pre-flight videos. Tickets are cheaper if you buy online, but if you do it when you get there, you need to check in at the desk. The 4D flight experience was well done. They do spray you with a mist at points as well as blow air at you so I got a little cold at points. Theres a netting thing under your seat to put your belongings in so you can take your bag etc with you. Highly recommend as something a bit different to do in Amsterdam.
Great crash course on Holland with a load of fun. Went here with the Iamsterdam card which made it even more worth while. Its a 5D experience that triggers your many senses.
Love virtual tours? That way! Here you will find a flight over the Netherlands with wind, smells, beautiful views and unforgettable impressions!
Nice waiting area inside and kind staff. The videos beforehand were quite interesting there’s just a bit of excess waiting until your actual flight. This was really great though I loved it! Like the soarin ride in Disney. It was the last 10 mins of the hour we spent but was worth it.Greenscreen photos they took of us were gimmicky but expensive at I think €15 for one so I didn’t get these. We got this entrance through the GoCity pass so I would definitely recommend looking into this to make it worth your money!
Must see if you come to Amsterdam. One of a kind experience. But with better camera resolution, it can be more immersive. And the scenes cut off a lot. Could have been fast forwarded instead
One of the best experiences I had in decads, this should be the #1 attraction when you come to Amsterdam.
View for the top... I.e., from Adams view is amazing... No words required.. just the images will speak...
the 5d flying theatre show is simply amazing. something you probably wouldnt have seen commonly and a very interesting way to learn about the netherlands!
If you’re in amsterdam, you can’t not join this attraction! Here you can bring your kids but it’s fun for adults as well! Unbelievably beautiful 😍
We took the windmill and cheese your. Highly recommended fabulous places to see
Now the price is a touch high and when you go in for the initial presentation, you do wonder what you wasted your money on....but hold your judgement because those preamble things are worth it. Then you go into the main seating and screening area.Absolutely wonderful idea. Please go but not if you have an issue with heights.
Was very educational and the "flight" is absolutely fantastic! Really worthwhile for visitors and residentsOur party of young and old are still talking about it one week later.
If you want to be seated together you should push other people to enter the place first and choose your seats, so dont be surprised to see people almost run to enter before you.We didnt go through it, since we had a kid that needed to be seated between two of us.
5f experience is a must here. Good staff and great ambience
Interesting experience, the content is entertaining too. The buts: theres a bit of moving between rooms thats unnecessary in my opinion (all around experience is about 30-45 minutes while the ride is 5-10 mins), and the actual attraction could use a higher quality video or video screen
Looks pretty outside but we didnt go inside.
Really a super experience for the whole family! Its a trio of movies, where the first two are a bit silly but informative none the less. And the third one is a super fun attraction on a moving set of benches, giving you the illusion of flying over many locations of the Netherlands.A huge hit with kids, and good fun for adults! 😁
Went as part of my iamsterdam city pass as it is open past 6pm and it was an amazing experience and very informative. This is how immersive experiences should be done! Flight simulator gives you the same sensation as being on a rollercoaster and was really fun. Highly recommend and well worth it!
This was a fun experience. You get an introduction to some interesting info on the country and culture. The the 5d experience is pretty cool, but the whole experience is quite quick. Go here for the experience rather than the learning.
We did an expedition to Edam, volendam and Zaanse. It was really worth it and better than what I was expecting. We tried a lot of cheeses and saw a windmill inside. The guide and chauffeur were very nice.
Lovely attraction, definitely worth a visit while you are there! The experience was immersive and fun, all staff were lovely and polite, and it was a great chance to learn about the beautiful country youre visiting while in Amsterdam! The flight experience is a must-do, and I dont want to give too much detail and ruin the surprise for others, but it was a lot of fun and definitely great value for money!
We came with 2 kids(age 7 / 12), and 3 adults. The two first rooms offered interesting facts( in dutch with English subtitles). The flight itself was an amazing and very unique experience! I dont recommend it for people with serious hight fears. Everyone else should not miss this great attraction in Amsterdam! We loved it! The shop afterwards was cute, too.we got some cute and not to pricey souvenirs there and the staff was very friendly.
Amazing experience. It’s one of the best things to see in Amsterdam , if not the best. I would love to experience it again. Also, the employer named Simon was amazing, kind and very helpful.
Took the ferry across to the attraction. Enjoyed the visit, and the 5D experience was outstanding. And it is included in the I Amsterdam package, if you purchase the card
So, We really liked the show, especially the main part. The beginning could be a bit better, knowledge testing spots could be more rewarding rather than people just giving answers while waiting for the next part; water intro movie is a liiiitle bit incoherent, but thats a personal opinion. Finally, regarding the photos; when you take peoples photos at the beginning let them know what to expect in the end, a free photo, something to buy or something else. Then we got to the shop the kid working there was not the best in English and didnt actually know that we can get digital photo to download, for free. Go and check it out. You will like it.
Enjoyed every bit of it. Past, Present and Future is well presented. The staff very cooperative and courteous.Guided the people very politely. The simulated flight travel was awesome.
Nice place for travellers!you have many options to choose as per your choice. Europes highest swing is also good option for couples
Definitely worth the price. It is multiple storey telling of the Dutch country side ending with a 4 D IMAX theatre style ride. There are more interactive stations after the ride. Easy way to understand the unique Dutch perspective and people. You can visit the Film institute next door
Such a great way to experience the highlights of the Netherlands! It provides a great deal of the history of the Netherlands, how it was formed and what challenges it faced, in a nice fun summarised manner. I would personally recommend it, as it is great fun for young and old, kids and grandparents, teens and adults. Be sure to check out their website for latest specials and combination specials with other tourist things like a boat cruise or museum.
It was great. Book in advance !! Watch a total of 3 shows. It takes about an hour. You can enter according to the time. The last show was fantastic. If you arrived a little early, you could wait while resting on an indoor chair. There is a toilet and the inside is cool. You can buy a cold drink (about 3€in the cafeteria.
This is Holland is a must see attraction if you want to learn more about, not just Amsterdam, but the Netherlands as a whole. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Once we passed through the ‘gate’ we had to wait roughly 10 mins before we ‘departed’. Thankfully there was quizzes on tablets to pass the time so it didn’t feel boring at all.The 5D experience was really fun. We all really enjoyed.
Well planned experience-- first you think what is this, then again..what??? And then the experience of flying . . Awesome😄It is somewhat behind the adam lookout if you come with the ferry from Centraal Station
An amazing attraction. I thinks its a must-go when you are visiting Amsterdam. Particularly enjoyed the 5D flight which was surprisingly impressive and fun. Theres a possibility to buy a combined ticked for This is Holland and ADAM lookout. We thought it was worth it.
Amazing experience.1. First step of the tour was a quick summary of the history and main facts about the Netherlands2. Second is another room to give you an preparation of what you will see.3. The main attraction, a 5D fully immersive flight over amazing landscapes. Very vivid and realistic experience. If you are coming to Amsterdam, you cant miss this.
If you would like to know more about the Netherlands and at the same time want to enjoy a 5d experience , This is Holland is the best place . It will cost you 18€ per person , you can get it online , offline both . My suggestion will be online, then dont have to wait much in queue . There it displays three different videos in dutch with English subtitles. It gives you a brief about Netherlands history, its straggle with water overflow, building dams and its cities . The video at the end is about 5d without glass , it will give experience off travelling in an aircraft . This is a really awesome experience I had in my entire life. You cant compare other 5d movies with this one.In this place you can have coffee, beer and other beverages with a small snack. The price is normal only. Free 🚻 also available.
Absolutely worth to visit! It is the similar entertainment technology what the Universal Studios use in Los Angeles. Amazing feeling to flying over Netherlands! Free to visit with Amsterdam City Card. 👍🇳🇱
A nice place and a great experience. Very fun and realistic. I felt like Im really flying over Netherlands. And there are a lot of things to take selfies with and know more about the country.
We waited in the seating area until they calls to the gate, then we were called but had to wait at the gate, standing, for about 15 min, wasn’t fun for my mother. Then the first part was in a room with an information video, which started fun but got boring as time went by. Then we moved to another room, again a video of introduction and instructions… after all that waiting and video times we finally got to the flight experience which was amazing but too short, not much more than 10 minutes!!! Our expectations were higher especially after all those videos leading to the actual/unique experience that is shorter in duration than the duration of the videos.
Our second visit was rather disappointing compared to the first three years ago. First off, the trend to PIN only payments in tourist areas is very frustrating for non European visitors who often need to pay with cash as their cards do not always work. Strike one. While our host was enthusiastic, he did jump on me for having my phone out to turn it off, as per his instructions. Apologies for not managing Simon says quickly enough! Strike two. We were last into each room as my parents who are both 77 move very slowly. I’m grateful they are moving at all! In the second room we were therefore left standing as there were no seats left. None of the guests offered us their seats and we opted not to cause a stir and remained standing for the duration of the short film. Strike three. The film very clearly states that as guests move into the simulator they should fill in seats from the far end. The families in front of us did not follow these instructions. We were left with a fragmented group of five and a very short time to solve the problem as the voice over counted down the start time. Panic! Eventually a staff member came out to assist, forcing the families to move down, but admonishing us in the process that we couldn’t expect to sit together. I’m not sure why not, we reserved tickets in advance! There was plenty of space if people cooperate and have enough time to do as asked. Strike four. To add insult to injury the Dutch families who didn’t follow the very clear instructions (given in Dutch and Englishto move down then proceeded to stereotype all Americans as rude, while they themselves were being incredibly rude and speaking about our mixed party of Americans and Dutchies in Dutch thinking we didn’t understand them. Boy were they sure surprised when we responded to their rudeness in Dutch! It’s embarrassing that they would assume they can speak so abusively with impunity. I have very seldom been so angry and ashamed of Dutch people. The staff should be more involved in making sure that instructions are followed and especially that vulnerable guests have a good experience. Luckily my parents both enjoyed themselves during the short flight, but I will recommend another activity when we next have visitors.
Well organized and a great canal windmill tulip deal. Good value.
Id expected a little more, but the last 5D experience really worth it! It is like you are on a plane and you are flying above whole Netherlands. You can see storms, fields with tulips, castles, people ice-skating. You can even smell the flowers and grass, you can feel the drizzles of water and the air. This "flight" made me really happy and excited!! It really brought me higher than weed!🤩
