Where i grown up. Hometown.One of the oldest Sri Krishna temples in Kozhikode which is built for the then king of Malabar, Zamorin near to his palace as per the stories i heard.Guruvayur Ekadashi, Sreekrishna Jayanti & Manadala Masam are some the festive times around this temple.The huge pond is one of the main highlights of this place. People come here just to see that and take photos. Even for a dip. There is big ground nearby, where cattle grazing and kids playing.Its right next to Govt Arts College, Fire force station, Govt School & NSS higher secondary school which was initially the palace of Zamorin.4 kms from the town its near to the National Highway 66.

A temple where lot of positive energy can be felt, it has beautiful infrastructure in a traditional style. Pond in front of the temple is really awesome when the white lotus blooms during certain month.

Peaceful temple and nice lake and fishes

Good ambience! Pond is there, guarded by many huge trees. Hard to access by road. Railway line passes very close. Train honks sometimes somewhat disturbances the atmosphere!

My native temple. Temple got a great pond. One of the largest pond in kozhikode

Came to this temple with a friend who wanted to feed fishes. I saw a you tube video where big fishes are feed food while they jump on each other. 1000s of fishes, however there is timings to feed fish at this temple. Either you get there at 6:30 am in the morning or 5:30 pm Im the evening. I was there at 2:30pm, hence maybe next time someday in the future if I return here definitely make it on fish feeding time.

Thiruvachira Sree Krishna temple is located nearby Meenchanda Arts College Calicut.The ambience is nice and feel blessed after the ‘pradakshinam’.There is big pool infront of the temple which makes the temple ambience further beautiful.
