ThirsTea Cafe Birmingham - Bubble tea store in Hoover, United States
I absolutely love Thirstea! The tea is great, the boba is better, and the service is spectacular. I definitely recommend going to Thirstea.
Really enjoyed this place! The boba was really good and the vibes here were suuuper unique. Loved the touch of games and the overall aesthetic. They played a movie on the TV, indie music on the speakers, and it created a comfy and chill environment. Will definitely be coming back here.
This place used to be amazing. Lately quality has gone down. Always out of supplies. How are you a boba tea shop but out of tapioca boba?? I was told they were out of tapioca… the next customer they told them it would just be a 20 minute wait. I drove all the way from the other side of town to come here. I could’ve waited. I don’t normally complain but it’s becoming a waste of money.
There was no Kung Fu tea in the area so gave Thirstea a try and they were fantastic. Will definitely be back.
Good customer service and great tasting beverages.
Love this place! Best boba in Alabama! However, the employees in the back ARE SO LOUD!!! They talk really loud or even yell, and it disrupts everyone sitting down. If y’all read reviews please listen and talk a little quieter. Your personal issues can be heard from the bathroom! This has happened quite a few times which is why I feel it’s important to bring up. It also explains why a line forms quickly since no one is at the counter to take orders. BEST BOBA, but definitely need volume control and better service.
Absolutely loved it! Woman at register was so incredibly, genuinely pleasant, and helpful and patient with me, bc I had no idea what to order (being a 1st timer. My 10 y/o daughters favorite place. AND they had super cool and some really interesting board and card games, along with coloring. Also very reasonable prices. Lol, almost forgot to add that our beverages were delicious! I had Thai tea with strawberry Boba, and they burst in your mouth and its different but satisfying.
Super cute and friendly service. Sandwiches are a little lackluster, but it’s still worth a stop.
I want to start out by saying that I have always been an honest and loyal customer. I always have great manners and I tip. But on this Friday July 8 2022. I was told not to come back. The reason being essentially a lie that I was taking pictures 📸 of employees and being inappropriate with them. I was not taking pictures of any employee, and they have no evidence that I did so. Nor was I being inappropriate with them. How I was being inappropriate was never elaborated upon. I feel that I have been lied about and discriminated against. The police came and were very professional and courteous and told me with the manager there that I was no longer welcome their. The manager Lydia Johnson said that I made the employees feel uncomfortable, but how she did not elaborate upon. And she claimed that she did not have to which is wrong because being made to feel uncomfortable can virtually mean anything because it is so broad. One can be made to feel uncomfortable because of the color of ones skin or how they look! Im glad that Ive been banned because these people are rude, stuck up, and trashy!!!
Conversation was good, boba was trash. And overpriced.
This is such a cute cafe! Its a relaxed environment with delicious drinks. I got the taro tea with tapioca boba and it was 10/10. I will be returning in the near future.
Awesome bubble tea, great atmosphere, friendly staff!
Went to the location in Pizitz. Ordered a honey milk tea, and the server asked if I’d like any addons/toppings. I assumed it would be extra toppings but it turns out you have to pay for boba. Ended up with a boba-less tea but oh well, I still like tea. The honey milk tea tasted like straight cheese water. You couldn’t taste any tea, or any honey, just milk, and even the milk tasted wrong. Is this normal? Did I just happen the worst item on the menu for 6$? Idk but won’t be coming here again
really good place and ambience👌tasty smoothie🤩
the staff was so friendly and i loved the vibe of the store! i also love how there’s plenty to choose from. i cant wait to go back! 10/10
Hard to not like ThirsTea since the competition is other restaurants with subpar tea and tapioca. Be prepared to wait 3-10 minutes for your order depending on the time of day (staffingand how busy they are.
Awesomely delicious strawberry boba tea! Thirstea is always a refreshing place to relax with my friends. The staff are pleasant and smile when they take your order!
This is the best place to get boba! I absolutely love it! It’s my only place I go for boba! Also great to hang out with friends! For fruit tea lovers..I would recommend the passion fruit tea and boba! It is AMAZING!
Love Boba tea. They had every flavor you can think of. Prices were a little expensive I thought though
Thirstea is an amazing environment that anyone can enjoy. My personal favorite is an orange slush with passion fruit boba, it can’t be beat!
Their boba is so consistent and perfectly done! Always friendly! I know they can get busy but it’s worth the wait!
I had the best first tea here and tried boba. Definitely recommend the peach fruit tea with strawberry boba
Super friendly environment and really refreshing boba!! Bailey was very helpful and nice. Try the lavender milk tea!
Service was outstanding!! Bailey was extremely knowledgeable and made an amazing grilled cheese recommendation. Needless to say.... first of many!!
This place use to be really good until they hired new people. The drinks lack so much flavor that it almost tastes like water. I had them remake my drink twice last week. First, they forgot the boboa, and the last one was watered down. Now today once again, it’s not good. The boboa has no flavor. Please teach the new hires how to correctly make the milk teas. They’re obviously winging it!
Id go again! The caramel milk tea was a tad on the sweet side but the tapioca pearls are the right mix of soft and chewy. The interior is super cute and very inviting as well :3
Top 5 boba tea cafe in the state! Cute vibe! Can’t get enough!
this is my favorite boba place in birmingham, hands down. the coconut milk tea with strawberry boba is actually incredible. I am not a big tapioca fan and most boba places don’t have fruit/alternative bubbles, but I’m so glad this place does. great atmosphere, too; it’s a great place to have a game night with friends.
My absolute favorite tea place and favorite date location. I even proposed here! Best boba in bham. Get the Taro or Coconut youll adore it.
Be careful menu says says one price for extras and they charge you more.Hugo has no customer service skills and makes it hard to do business.Their grill cheese machine always seem to have an issue?! Or they just don’t wanna make them….Boba is good but dang pick up the slack
Ive been coming to this place since it first opened. Fantastic experience every single time Ive visited. Great drinks and a very friendly staff. Angie was extremely helpful for me and my friends tonight. Best boba tea place in Birmingham!
Which I knew about this place earlier. Delicious boba tea! Staff was super friendly and the atmosphere was so cute. They even have poke. I got the coconut mango smoothie with boba and jelly, too bad they were out of large cups or I would have got a large. Hubby got taro smoothie with boba. We got a cute boba keychain too
I really like ThirsTea. My daughter turned me on to it. I love the green apple fruit tea with passion fruit boba. They do a great job of making it right no matter how large the order is.
This is a great place for a refreshing tea, coffee or smoothie. This was my first visit and I enjoyed my Thai milk tea with boba. Just a heads up for others though, these drinks are full of calories - high in carbohydrates. Delicious but not great for the waistline.☺️
Do yourself a favor, ONLY ORDER IN PERSON. Its great when ordered in person, but NOT when ordered through UberEats.I will definitely visit the establishment again when know my food will be fresh and made as ordered. -but- the one of the sandwiches was bare after transport as I assume the cheese leaked out the side and dried.. And unfortunately, the add-ins (boba/jelliesare sold in a separate area from the teas, making it imperative for the notes to be read so the correct item is put in the right drink. my notes were not seen thus resulting in a not so pleasant mix of mango Boba in cinnamon milk tea (yuckand flan jellies in coconut tea (didnt really do anything for each other). instead of the other way around.an employee contacted me about an item being sold out and offered substitutes, and she was very nice but had also mentioned they had problems with Ubereats lately.one sandwich I ordered was still yummy (provolone/pesto/spinach/tomato but would have been much better in person. the ingredients were plentiful, but the cheese was dried to the side and the bread a bit tough. In the future Ill be ordering in person to ensure its all the wonderful quality that I experienced in my initial experience as reviewed below.------The Boba Tea is amazing...AHHMAZING! and in cutest little sealed lids.. there were so many delicious possibilities with all the options that they have....We got four different combinations and were very happy with all of them.I recommend checking out their menu online first so you can get an idea of what you might want ahead of time that way theres no pressure if they suddenly get a rush of regulars lining up behind you. Cant wait to go back to try more of their yummy teas and give one of their amazing-looking, customizable grilled cheese sandwiches a try.
Sucha cute lil place!!! Boba is goooood!!! They have cute tees too and board games to play! Indoor and outdoor seating is nice as well! Cant wait to go back already!(:
Yummm! My daughter recently discovered bubble tea and has been begging me to take her for some. We found ThirsTea and lived it. I got a fruit flavored tea (passion fruitand my daughter a milk tea (Thaiwith boba. They had a large variety of flavors and milk alternative options as well. We definitely go back!
Prices were fair. The barista was very nice. I explained it was my first time trying boba and she recommended some flavors and told me what to expect. She was super kind. The Thai tea flavor was great. The little beads were interesting, just not my taste. Still worth a try. They also have various products from Japan (lays, KitKat, oreos).
Great boba!! We’re here from out of town and loved this place. Very patient worker, quick even with lots of orders, and yummy drinks. Cute and relaxing atmosphere. Try the caramel milk tea with tapioca!
We drove a while to get here. I was really happy with my bubble tea. We had the Taro and the Jasmine. Loved the bubbles. We also had the grilled cheese...very cheap but not impressive.
We went out of the way to try this little place. It didnt disappoint! I havent found many places that make more boba if they run out in a day. However, this place was making more when we arrived so we waited for it. Staff was a little chaotic at first on the register but quickly got it together for fast service. We will return when in the area next! PS, I might ask for half sugar in my Thai tea next time. It was nearly too sweet to drink.
BEST Shop ever so it was me and my daughters first boba and we did not know what to get. Associate was very kind and helpful and let me tell you it was so GOOD like omg I loved it and. We had a blast it is real boba and good NEED TO TRY!!!!
I love Thirstea! The bubble tea selection is great and its a fun and relaxing place to hang out with friends and play games. They renovated since the last time I was in and it looks amazing! I cant wait to try the poke bowls, too!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE ThirsTea Cafe!Refreshing beverages, tasty treats to snack upon, friendly service and games galore.... What’s not to love!!My daughter & I always get a Large Lavender Bubble Tea w/ Boba! There are SO many drink choices to choose from tho! May need to get a little experimental with our tea choices in the near future. We go there at least once-twice a week (sometimes moreto play a game or two and drink our tea! They also have tasty little treats and sandwiches. It’s worth the awful traffic coming from Hoover too! Even though I wish that they’d open one up in Hoover.... I THINK... that the Bubble tea place coming to the Riverchase Galleria soon is a ThirsTea Cafe, but I’m not sure. I really hope so tho!!
Soo good and underrated. Smells weird but the drinks slap
They had tons of menu options and it seems like a good place to hang out with friends. The staff was sweet and answered any questions i had. I got a caramel milk tea with boba which taste amazing. And members brought with me got a peach smoothie and a coffee. Both of them saying it taste good as well! Definitely a place i would go again
Got an avocado smoothie. It was really delicious and not extra sweet like most smoothies are. It was just perfect. Basil seeds boba were frozen cold which were not so much liked by my teeth. Nice ambience, reasonable prices. Great place to hangout with friends for games in Birmingham 280 Inverness area.
Amazing Tea, great taste good prices all the things that you would love to put in your bubble tea love it
Delicious! What a great selection! There drinks are all top notch. I got Vietnamese iced coffee, Thai tea and a matcha milk tea with boba! 10/10
I love Bubble Tea and so happy find it in the Birmingham area. The service was excellent! Always enjoy seeing young people working.
