Its one of the two best pagodas you must visit in Yangon. Better to visit after sunset. Behave in a decent manner, without hurting devotees feelings.
Buddha followers found the place sacred! Golden buddha statutes were there inside the pagoda! most importantly there are buddha teeths put in preserving glasses and most visitors were allowed to view with enlargement zooming glass. Usually not crowded. One of the pagodas which can enter the center of the pagoda building.
I liked this pagoda because the souvenir and trinkets sellers that line the path up to the pagoda arent pushy and will actually quote you a decent price. While here, be sure to walk a little north to the grotto where a Buddhist counsel was held and get a bit more out of your trip than just "another" pagoda.
Nice, beautiful, religious place for good to visit with family.
Very beautiful and worth for visiting. Sacred place in Myanmar Buddhism. People usually come here in religious day.
