Nice place to visit
Ok to visit. Museum is nice
Its an awesome place. The monument is really remarkable
Great place for Martyrs memorial
wonderful place, plenty of cafeterias, the museum is very well made (there are models that showcase gore/torture, so may not be appropriate for kids, unless kept close), and says alot about the struggles this country has been through, to gain its freedom...
Impressive monument - where people come to hang out. Its nice (and funto take the cable car up there. If you go in the late afternoon like I did, you can get to see it during the day time, and also when it is lit up in the colours of Algeria in the evening. The museum underneath shows, in sometimes quite graphic detail, the struggle for independence of Algeria from France.
Wow amazing historical museum
Amazing
The Maqam Echahid is a concrete monument commemorating the Algerian War. The monument was opened in 1982, on the 20th anniversary of Algerias independence. It is fashioned in the shape of three standing palm leaves, which shelter the "Eternal Flame" under it.
Amazing place , so beautiful
Great landmark, you can take a look of the history of Algeria and his fight for her independence in the museum, walk and take a beautiful see of Algiers with his sea
It is the three huge cement palm leaves, which form a prominent landmark, and the capital is often referred to by it. It is located in the upper part of the capital in the Al-Madania neighborhood, flying at an altitude of 92 meters. It is reached by cable car to get to it from Hama in order to save time, because going by taxi requires more time.In the cable car, you will have a breathtaking view of the whole city, which you will discover as a bay between two sea heads. You can also see the Martyrs Museum, located under the shrine and near it is the Dome of Mercy for the Martyrs of the Liberation Revolution. This shrine is a memorial to the Algerian war built in 1982, on the occasion of commemorating the twentieth anniversary of Algerias independence, and in memory of the victims of the liberation war. There is also the "Riyad Al-Fath", which is settled under it, which is a semi-commercial center built in the countrys socialist era in the early eighties with the shrine of the martyr, that is, at the beginning of the Shazly era. The interesting thing about Riad Al-Fath, which is owned by the state, is that most of the shops in it are closed, and those that are open have not changed for 30 years, so the visitor feels as if he is wandering around in a museum, because the demand for the place declined more than two decades ago for the sake of more practical and modern places.
Highly not recommended for foreigners, it’s not safe, the parkings keepers are aggressive especially at night.
Great place for gathering and taking pictures and videos
Its a place to add in your to-do list in Algiers.
A place that try to open the Algerian history to visitors. Under the monument you can find a museum that could have some cleaning done. A lot of dust is covering the different installations.
I didnt go there to see it but but i my frnd send me its video clips nd i was super impressed by it hopefully i visit the place when i came to Algeria to Marry with my gf 🔥🥰
It was a wonderful trip as I used to visit this place from my childhood full of stories of our ancestors and this is a wonderful thing to teach our children how Algeria was in the past and I advise everyone to visit this place.
We visited during COVID. They only allow you in if you have done a COVID vaccine which was nice to see.As soon as you arrive, you will see the guards and the first thing they ask is for your phone and camera. You are not allowed to take any photos inside. They keep your belongings safe in a locker. The place is great to see the history of Algerias war and the mujahideen. It was surprising how much I didnt know, including the details of the tortures that France was doing.Even if you do not visit inside, its still a great place to take pictures with.
The story began in 1954.May Allah protect Algeria and all Muslims community
A Great sight to see , specially during the night very safe place the only problem must be the parking spaces other then then that its a staple of Algiers and the country overhaul ,any one who visits Algiers lust come by and visit the monument ,the sight over the city is a great plus
If you want to go with your car dont park near the monument Cause their is some random guys will ask you for money for parking instead of that their is park its called Riad al fath you will find it on google maps, its a shame their is no signs to lead you to this park
Very good view, maybe a little cold in the evening. I was wondering where the food was but then i found the tacobaguette in the cantine on the ground. I would most likely never come back since there really wasnt any service.
here you find all kinds of Algerians 😊
If you visit Algeria, you must visit this place, you may get tired on the way, but you will learn about the entire history of Algeria. The place is nice clean next to the monument you can walk around. The museum is below the shrine, visit it.You can go down to Hamma Park by cable car if it is in service.

The martyrs sanctuary in Algeria, a monument to the struggles and sacrifices of the million and a half of a martyrs country, and part of the Algerian currency, and the most beautiful built in Algeria to commemorate the lives of those who sacrificed Balgali and precious in order to taking Algeria as the martyrs sanctuary still tells the story given by the people of Algeria. The landmark is high, still lit, the sky of Algeria tells its revolution to the world, and the first destination for those who still visit the capital from inside and outside the home, and the space still brings families, young people and a place of pilgrimage for the heads of kings and emperors. It is Boumedienes dream achieved by Chadli and embraced by the people.

A wonderful place overlooking the sea and most of the city of Algeria, and a garden of experiments next to it is a Mujahid museum that contains some of the equipment of Algerian revolutionaries.
The memorial can be easily reached via a small public cable car, which runs up the hill and connects the monument to the Botanical Garden Hamma (Jardin dEssai du Hamma). Also, The memorial is free to visit (although soldiers will most likely prevent you from getting close to the eternal flameand the surrounding plaza is a popular gathering spot. Entrance to the nearby military museum (Musem de l’Armee), which is located at the opposite end of the square, is free to enter and has a wide collection of exhibits that provide more context on Algeria’s complicated relationship with France.

Houbal. Its the remark of the capital. It can be a meeting point and a place for entertainment like (rather emptycinema, (boringnational museum, and (expensiveshops - restaurants. Once, it should be visited, but theres no much to see after the second time.
If in Algiers it is of paramount importance that you visit this icon symbol of Algeria. There are amazing views and other excellent points of interest located nearby. What a beautiful piece of architecture.
Interesting structure. Unusual methods of construction used. Beautiful views are opening from here. During the night lights up really nice. Cant get underneath it, which is reasonable, since it is a strategic location of ministry of defence.
Very imposing monument with significant historical representative. To all this that died fighting for independence. Wonderful views of surrounding area and and bay of Algers behind monument. A must visit. There is also a museum underneath.
Must see monument in Algiers, great views of the city from there and good museum underneath

Accessing this wonderful place is to easy by taxi or bus , Now regarding this particular location it has many things; it has a museum for the algerian revolution with entrance fees cost 50 DZD ~ 0.42 $, you can spend 1 hour in there checking every picture and declarationOutside you have a vast place that can have party in summer.
Nice monument with a very rich history, it symbolizes the huge sacrifices of the martyrs. It punctuates the Algiers skyline and makes it unique in its own way. At night, it lights up with three different colors: green for prosperity, red for the blood shed by the martyrs and white for peace. Next to it, a splendid view on the botanic garden of El Hamma and on the bay of Algiers.

Amazing concrete structure with a beautiful museum detailing the history of Algerian independence. Relatively quiet with multiple access routes for visitors on foot and visitors with vehicles. Good view of Algiers.
A monument that you should see when visiting Algiers. A museum was settled under the museum. Entrance is 50DZ but dont expect too many things. City view from the monument is good. You can have a walk or take the teleferic (cableline to the garden essai de hamma. The thing I dont understand is how they put antennas on such a memorial monument.
