98 Bermondsey St, Bermondsey, London SE1 3UB, Kinkala
Quirky bar with ornate tiling and ceiling, offering a classic pub menu, cocktails and a beer garden.
Great pub! One of the cozier and comfortable ones in Bermondsey.
Probably the nicest function room Ive seen in a while. Food was amazing and service was top notch. Shout out to Wilfred the dog who didnt fart once throughout the afternoon 🐶🐶🐶
Great buzzy atmosphere with a large open area/garden at the back
Nice food and a good range of beer. The outdoor space is good, so a bigger place than you think.
Favorite room is: upstairs! Super cozy surrounded by reproduction frescoes & art.Kind staff & good local beer selection on draft.
Does a more perfect pub exist? I doubt it. Great staff, good vibes, and always lots of dogs.
Great pub on Bermondsey, we went there without a booking and the manager Chiara went out of her way to find us a spot even with the pub being really busy on Friday evening, then she made sure to send someone over to look after our group. The pub it’s just great lovely team great vibes and beautiful beer garden, definitely recommend
I just love going there, everyone is so lovely, the vibe is always great the team is always happy to help, we accidentally booked for the wrong day and when we showed up the Daniel the manager was really helpful, got us a drink at the bar and found us a table shortly after.Food is yummy and it’s a great place to go if you like dogs, there are so many😍
Favourite pub on Bermondsey, we work on the street and often go there without a booking, the managers are always so nice and always help us find tables.Service is quick and team is always helpful, regardless you order at the bar, through the app or if you order at the table.Great pub overall
We had a lunch booking and oh boy did we have an experience! Manager Callum (think it was their namegreeted us and the service was just phenomenal. Attentive to the bone. We felt like we are being in some luxurious restaurant, waited on hand and foot.Their drinks selection is mental - usually you have just one non alcoholic option but they had everything from multiple choices of beers, gins and even non alcoholic champagne! Food was to die for. If you not gonna try crispy tiger prawns with side of the hummus you’ll be missing out. Hats off to the chef for sure. I’d marry the chef if that means I’d get to have that kind of quality food every day.We were suppose to just have a quick lunch but ended up staying all afternoon and evening. (The hangover the next day was worth it)20/10 would recommend.
Nice menu and bar atmosphere but its the back garden that makes this place unique. While not an actual garden the long tables and small alcoves provide lots of covered outdoor space to enjoy a hot day.
Such a cozy pub with a great garden. Stella was incredible and will definitely be coming back to see her soon
My favourite pub in London! Love the quirky mix of people and on a Friday night, always feels like a house party!Recently had the pleasure of stuffing my face here and dear god, the food was incredible 👏👍
Went to this Bermondsey pub a bit randomly on a Sunday afternoon and I’m sad I never went before. It’s an amazing pub with a great beer gwrde, and Stella is such a gem! She’s just amazing and will make you feel at home in no time!
Sunday funday ended here on this cute Bermondsey st. We were served by the lovely beautiful Stella who can not be faulted at all. Wonderful and welcoming and extremely helpful. A Stella employee and asset to the Woolpack. Lovely vibes and a great pub.
Stella was the most amazing bartender! She went above and beyond with the table service and general friendliness...
Great pub. Always lively atmosphere and good beer selection. Check out the garden at the back.
Best pub on Bermondsey! We were there yesterday and we loved it!Team is really nice, service is quick and the pub is stunning! We’ll be back for sure!
We had a great time when we were there the other night, team is friendly, service is quick and it was a pleasent surprise to see that the team actually cut off a group of people who seemed a little bit too drunk and were bothering other customers.Cant wait to get back!
Wonderful pub - old school and contemporary vibe
Turned up here @ 1900 on a Friday evening to get some food. Place was quiet due to rail strike. Got 5 steps inside and was pounced on and told that my teenage children weren’t welcome after 1800.Fair enough if that’s the pub policy but it’s pretty unusual these days.Avoid if looking to eat with anyone under 18
This place is just great. That is all you expect when you come to London : A real pub with plenty off Real people enjoying themselves. Great atmosphere, great food (the fish and chips is very good, the crumble is delicious). Barmaid and barmen are nice and effective. We will definitely come again to the Woolpack (as well as the whole Bermondsey streetwhen we come back to London.
Love the Woolpack for drinks after work. The garden is huge with loads of tables. They also have a good menu, not a massive selection but several great options for vegans, their burgers are yum!
What a great pub!We went there on sunny Saturday, the vibe, the service, the food, everything was just great. We had some very delicious burgers and some pints from a local brewery recommended by David and all I can say is that they were great. The huge beer garden full of doggies its certainly a plus!Make this a must visit if you are around.
Relaxing, calm atmosphere with friendly staff to match. Lovely spot for a few pints, pricey but expected for location. Would recommend.
Nice to be back in my old Bermondsey.... but full of hooray Henrys and and plumby Porticias. Awful toilets. In need of an upgrade. But good selection of beers.
Fantastic pub with a great beer selection, wonderful beer garden and incredibly friendly staff! Highly recommend
Recently moved in the area and we were looking for a new local, super happy to have found this pub.Huge beer garden to enjoy aperols in the sun and let your dog run around. The team couldnt be more nice, we met the manager and she was beyond lovely, same goes to the rest of the team.If you are around Bermondsey give this place a visit, you wont regret it!
Went to this lovely place today In the heat. Such a beautiful garden with amazing food and drinks on offer and great service by the staff spoke to one of the managers, Dan to notify a allergy he was so helpful and acomadating will definitely come back to this lovely venue.
Recently started working in the area, stumbled on The Woolpack and have been delighted with the place ever since! The team are amazing and we met the manager Chiara and she was absolutely amazing, looking after us and was checking on us during our lunch time booking to get used to the new area! Has become a local very quickly!
We Just want to have a place to have a beef and snacks. We came across this restaurant. The fish and chips is okay. My boy loves it.
Fantastic local pub! We were in the neighborhood for 6 days...went there ever day! Great drinks and a wonderfully local and casual environment. Will definitely be back! Thank you guys for a fantastic job! Definitely try the two tribe pale ale..its yum!
This place is great. Good beers, a cool space, and the street reminds me more or Copenhagen than London.
Today we got served the worse Aperol ever in London. Served by somebondy who was asking how to prepare it, to the manager, in the wrong glass and the smaller ever. I asked for a straw and they did not have any. I complained to the manager who told me that said it is what it is.Guys this is not a place to enjoy a drink at Bermonsey.By the way, I am local living 5 minutes walking from here.Very disappointed, we used to have drinks and food here but it seems that the place has change for worse.
My go-to pub on Bermonsey Street. Welcoming friendly staff, a spacious beer garden at the back, and cosy banquets at the front for groups and people watching! Highly recommended. Oh and a good selection of beers, cider and wine!
If there was one part of London I would want to transport home it would be The Woolpack! The food, the beer, the staff. Everything was great. It can get a bit busy at times, but when you go at the right time it provides a great place to gather with friends and wind down.
Nice garden with lots of big tables for large groups to sit or stand and good selection of drinks. Not cheap but nowhere is in London these days! Great for drinks after work in the summer
Really nice beer garden, in a great spot too. Had a good selection of beers on tap and the bar staff were very friendly. Great spot for some refreshments!
A lovely pub tucked away in London Bridge, not far from the station. Reasonable pricing, a lovely covered courtyard and easy ordering system with orders taken via an app or at the bar.
The "proper pub" on Bermondsey Street. (The Garrison over the road is really more of a restaurant). Its not cheap, but has a good range of beers and a nice atmosphere. It also has a large beer garden at the back.
Very old pub tastefully adapted to a modern (trendy?environment. Good choice of beers and lagers. Very busy downstairs but theres a quieter area upstairs via a spiral staircase. The pub advertises that it has a garden but in reality its entirely enclosed by a marquee. Dont come here expecting to get the sun on your back. Service was quick, despite the numbers, and staff all friendly. Toilets were probably the originals and Im told that theres only one cubicle in the Ladies which led to queuing at times. Well worth a visit.
Great pub. Huge beer garden at the back. The sausage rolls looked absolutely amazing. Unfortunately it was just all looks. They were bland and the pastry was not flaky
Nice pub , friendly staff , shame about the sausage rolls piled up, uncovered on the bar. Put me off eating here due to the evident slack food hygiene.
Second time visiting and it remains a great spot for after-work / leaving drinks with colleagues if you’re around the London / Tower Bridge area. The food offering is pretty standard for a pub: the first time I ordered a huge burger meal & the second; just rounds of cheesy chips and complementary dippers. The service can be a little slow, especially during rush hour when it gets packed and any Covid regulations about maintaining a safe distance go out of the window as customers vie for the bartenders’ attention to be served.
Food and drinks are overpriced. Food is very low quality and not worth the price tag. The failure of a chicken burger below is £16!!! Which is what a quality high end chicken burger would cost- which it most definitely is not.Would not recommend this place for anything based on its pricing. If I could give it a 0 I would. The staff is lovely though.
Very nice pub. Following guidelines and ensuring that social distancing is in place and that people are using the track and trace app. Very friendly staff and very quick service. Had the burger and chips and it was lovely. Also, they are dog friendly which was a bonus👍🏻
Lovely pub on bermondsey street serving good pub grub and drinks. Advised to reserve a table at the moment due to covid. Very dog friendly as can be seen in the photos.
Cripes: I used to live here 20+ years ago when it was a rough place. These days its transformed into a trad -looking, but good quality, open place, with a pleasant looking beer garden, and, up a twirling iron staircase, theres a dining room upstairs. The staff here are pleasant, the range of stock is varied and good. I must come back for more. Now, where exactly was it that I left that £50 note above the bar?
Enjoyed Sunday lunch here a few weeks ago when my mum visited. We ate in the dining room upstairs which is rather grand and unexpected. Mum tucked into a sirloin roast, my partner had the fish pie and I had the vegetarian option. The food was a good standard, the surroundings also good. This is a dog friendly pub, just so you know before you go. Were not big drinkers so I have no idea about prices of drinks. There is a big garden out the back. It seemed to get busy so best to book.
A great little pub on Bermondsey Street. Great beer and wine. Serves breakfast too if you are up and about early in the day. Staff polite and friendly, always welcome. A lovely room (no barupstairs via the spiral staircase. Certainly worth a visit if you are anywhere in East London. You will not be disappointed!
