OH NO! WHAT HAPPENED???There is nothing I loathe more then spending good money for bad food. We have been here twice before with good experiences but its been several years.Cheese board was good and the french onion soup was delicious.Entrees were inedible, my husband had the short rib...bland..rissotto clumpy and cold, i had the oven fried penne...chicken was chewy and dry, the "italian sausage was precooked prepackaged ..cold links that youd buy at kroger or something cut up in little pieces. There was little to zero sauce.. i thought it was supposed to be red sauce but there wasnt any,there was supposed to be sundried tomatoes...nope.. . ZERO salt an pepper was used in preparing our meals. BLAND as you could get as well as poorly execxuted. Im SHOCKED at how bad it was. Got a lot a nerve asking OVER $20 bucks a plate(total bill $134.00with food that was obviously preprepared..badly..then microwaved??(thats what it tasted like). My husband saw someone in the kitchen sampling the whip cream directly from the canister into his mouth😳..we didnt order dessert🤣.Service was mediocre.. But they were pretty busy so I was all right with that. Typically I get a little more personal attention asking me if id like a bottle of wine I might want and What would pair with our food well but maybe they know their food is s*** so they dont bother with the expensive wine??? My hudband came home and ate a bologna sanwhich, guess ill just starve. There are waaay to many good resturants in columbus to waste your money here...GO ELSEWHERE(like anywhere elseYIKES.

A little pricey, the menu a bit limited. Flatbread not recommended. Wine flights are fun! Was very busy but we were accommodated and would return.

Amazing and expansive wine selection. Knowledgeable, patient, and friendly staff. Every dish we ordered was delicious, from the cheese platter, to the flatbread, to four different entrees. Even the salad was flavorful. The ambiance is beautiful. Small and intimate setting. Highly recommend.

We dined as a large group, 10 +, the staff was friendly and accommodating with our request. Being able to pick you wine from the shelf when buying bottles is unique, as is the minimum mark up over retail for the wine as apposed to some restaurants 200% or more mark up. Whether you have a small or large group, give them a try for your night out.

Food was simple. The cheese bread rolls were too sweet paired with the cheese. Chicken sandwich had crunchy bits I didn’t care for and the fries were subpar.

We doordashed an order for our business lunch today, and frankly didnt have super high expectations. We were blown away, every single entree was perfect, all parties very happy. I got the chicken and dont remember the last time I had a piece of chicken breast so perfectly not-overcooked, juicy, could cut it with my fork. Get the baked brie to share. Whoever the chef was today knows their business.

We visited back in December and had a good time, so we reserved a table for the Friday before Valentines Day. Unfortunately, that ended up being a poor dining experience. They were obviously understaffed for the amount of reservations they had, and the entire service suffered as a result. Drinks were forgotten, the server didnt return to take our appetizer order, so we ended up sitting there for a long time without any food or drinks. We both ordered the Valentines Day special, the seared scallops with fingerling potatoes and vegetable medley. It. Was. Awful. The potatoes were not fingerling, I think they were russet and were brought out breakfast hashbrown style with no seasoning. The vegetable medley was completely raw, and again no seasoning. The scallops were the worst part: There were only four tiny little scallops, barely larger than a quarter. And they were not "seared" at all. Whoever cooked them must have had the temperature so low that it boiled the scallops, and they became so rubbery that we could barely get through them with a knife. I had to spit out most of it into a napkin because it was so chewy and rubbery.Im still giving two stars because the first experience there was fine, and the fondue appetizer is good. I think a normal night there is fine, but I would never return for a special occasion, and would definitely never order a limited time menu item since they dont seem to provide the kitchen staff with any training on special event foods. It was so, so gross.

First of all, our server Lily was excellent. She gave good advice about wines and menu options.The food was delicious; we had two different flatbreads. The bottle of wine (Palermowas superb, and it was served at the perfect temperature.I’ll note that the table was awful, although we had made reservations in advance and indicated it was a special occasion. Where we sat, it was freezing cold. We kept our coats on.My view was through a door into the kitchen. Although a curtain is hung over the door entrance, it was tied back the entire time. The bright kitchen view was less than pleasant. Next, there was a terribly cold draft across our table. The flatware was icy cold, and our food became cold so fast that we asked our server to have it reheated in the kitchen, which was done, although then it was extremely dried out and charred. It wasn’t an extraordinarily cold night for January, not below 30°, so I have no doubt the staff and management know that this table is always terrible in winter.

Nice, cozy little bistro offering a very nice happy hour menu. I enjoyed the flatbread and the gourmet popcorn (and Im not really a popcorn fan). Try it out, you will not be disappointed.

Hosted a baby shower for my daughter at Wine Bistro. Food, service and atmosphere perfect. The staff members were helpful and welcoming and everyone enjoyed the afternoon. I would highly recommend.

I have tried twice recently to order delivery from the Wine Bistro. Both times, my order was confirmed, then later canceled as the restaurant was "too busy" to fulfill my order. Tonight, they canceled 75 minutes after I placed the order, and 15 minutes before it was scheduled to be delivered. They should take themselves off of the delivery apps if they are not going to fill the orders.

I had called two weeks prior and made reservations for my daughters birthday. When we got there the hostess couldn’t find my reservation. She said she would get the manager. I waited at the stand and no one came or acknowledged themselves. Finally someone ask me what I needed and I said I was waiting for the manager and I guess that was he was the manager I explained the situation and he was very rude and said ‘do you remember who you talked to?’ I said no that was two weeks ago. He didn’t even try to help. He said he couldn’t do anything . I realize it was a Saturday night but the fact that he was so rude and smug and didn’t even care about us or try to help us out is what upset me the most! Make sure u double check this place when calling for reservations and get the persons name! Or u will be kicked to the curb!

I ate a pleasant lunch yesterday afternoon [11-28-2021] at The Wine Bistro.I have often walked past The Wine Bistro during the past several years while on my way to and from other businesses that are further east on W. Lane Ave. I eventually decided to eat there on a Sunday afternoon between 12:00 noon and 3:00 p.m., during the only three-hour period of time each week when their "brunch menu" is served [and my favorite item on the menu would therefore be available].I had carefully studied their website in advance of my arrival and selected the item that I would order and eat that day; I even made an on-line reservation [my first such reservation in many years].Moments after my arrival [the restaurant had been nearly empty the entire time when I had been there], I learned that their "brunch menu" would not be available that day. I had to quickly choose a different item from their "regular" menu [that I guess is served all or most of the time].This is what I had ordered instead: Bacon White Cheddar Burger: fresh Angus chuck, applewood smoked bacon, white cheddar cheese, garlic mayo, arugula, tomato. That sandwich is served with "kettle chips."The interior space at The Wine Bistro is well-designed; the staff there is friendly and helpful; the food is delicious.At the end of my meal, my server brought to me a bowl of "triple-chocolate pudding" -- served with a strawberry and whipped cream -- and a cute little spoon with which to eat it -- "on the house" -- because of my disappointment that their "brunch menu" had not been available that day.I plan to return to The Wine Bistro on a different Sunday afternoon, between 12:00 noon and 3:00 p.m., so that I will be able to order my favorite item on the menu that I had hoped to be able to order yesterday.At my servers recommendation, I will call first to confirm that their "brunch menu" will indeed be available that day.

Really enjoyed this place! The food was delicious (highly recommend the short rib), great wine selection, and a quaint atmosphere. Definitely will be back again!

Service and atmosphere are wonderful. Amazing selection of wine. Food wasnt amazing but a great place to get some drinks and to have a nice time.

Great wine and salad for team lunch.

Decided to try The Wine Bistro for a birthday meal, and we had an amazing experience! We tried a flight of reds and whites and loved them all! We split a braised veal meatball based on another Google review, and it was delicious as advertised! I had the spaghetti pesto with chicken and literally could not stop eating until my plate was clean! The shrimp and risotto met the same fate as both entrees were scrumptious! We split the key lime pie for dessert which was absolutely delectable and a refreshing finish to the meal! Travis was our server and was attentive to our every need. Can’t wait to go back and try more items from their menu!

I highly recommend their Juliette Flatbread and if youre into full-bodied wine, get the Bovine Superior Cab Sauv. I wish theres more pasta in their Fettuccine Del Mare though.

A great selection of wines on all of the walls which you can pick out and served at your table for a corkage fee. I believe it is $8. There are wines from all around the world including some obscure places you cant find at kroger. My favorite thing there is the meatball.

Great patio for drinks and dinner. Service was great! Got the Cajun shrimp, with a citrusy risotto and sriracha cream sauce. Crab cakes looked good as did the flatbreads.

Great food. Good wine. Nice decor. Our waitress was ready to leave and a little rude about the check, otherwise, good experience with my friends. Tons of wine bottles, however, I didnt see a wine list.

Tried out this place for the first time during restaurant week and was not disappointed! The food was amazing and was still hot when we got it home. The food was unique American-style dining. Restaurant week cut us a great deal, and I will be happy to pay "normal prices" anytime. I will definitely be back soon!

Definitely recommend this place for a date night. Atmosphere is relaxing, and the food is superb.Highly recommend the brie as an appetizer; the salmon and burgers are tender and well seasoned, tasting fresh; wine here is plentiful and has options for anyone who enjoy a glass (or bottle).Highly recommend it for couples or friend gatherings.

My wife and I celebrated my daughters engagement last evening with her fiancé and his family. Kim, the general manager, was a very big part of a successful celebration. Her attention to detail and commitment to customer service is phenomenal. I live in Cleveland and look forward to seeing Kim and having dinner at Wine Bistro in the near future.

My fiancé and I had a lovely date night here. We had wonderful service (Eli was our waitress. She was wonderfuland the food and wine was delicious! We had the Caesar salad, baked Brie, salmon and shrimp risotto. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!

Me and my spouse had lunch yesterday at Wine Bistro and it was superb to say the least.From the warm welcome from Kim to our pleasant interactions with Beth, our server, the Wine Bistro never lets us down.The wine selection is incredible. Dont want a bottle from the menu? They will let you shop the selection inside and purchase one of them instead. We have never been disappointed in the food as well. Fresh. Delicious. Great ingredients. And if you like fried green tomatoes like I do they have them as a special currently and I highly recommend them.The staff of Wine Bistro is inviting and always accommodating. It is one of our rotating places to dine out during these crazy times.They do an excellent job of sanitizing/disinfecting tables between guests as well as maintaining social distancing between tables and offering hand sanitizer for customers.I love this place. Be sure to dine al fresco on their beautiful patio before the weather turns cold.Cheers!

Been here twice and the food is incredible. My family and I got the Brady family Cabernet Sauvignon and it was so good. So good! I also ordered the wagyu steak salad thing and that was really good. My family ordered the oven-baked penne and the Fettucine de la mer or something like that, both were very good. Service is friendly, atmosphere is comfortable.

Well. I cant really say what I would rate it. Had reservations for 815p. Showed up on time. Then was told, "sorry, but itll be about 10 more minutes."No problem right? Just sit at the bar and amuse myself with a cocktail. "Sorry, bar is no seating." Well, i guess well just take a walk across the street to bed, bath, and beyond.After 25 minutes of chasing the girlfriend around the store, we head on back. Wisely just wanted to give the resteraunt some time to get the table cleaned up and prepped.Walk back into the wine bistro and get noticed by the hostess, "oh we just have to get the table cleaned."After 5 more minutes standing at the entrance "sorry, just be another 10 minutes. The table hasnt left yet."So long story short, pizza across the street is pretty good.

Currently my favorite restaurant. I love the atmosphere here and the manager is great. The food always exceeds expectations and the wine selection is wonderful. Highly recommend if you havent tried it out.

I booked a table for 7 at the patio, and when we arrived they told us the place was not allowed to seat more than 6 people, and in any case they hadnt even reserved a place for 6 people, no even for 5, so they needed to figure out how to add one more sit to their 4-seats available table in the patio. The persons seating us were not very welcoming, maybe because we were a group of Latinas? who knows. But Lily, our waitress, was sooo nice and attentive and she even took pictures of us given that we were celebrating my friends bachelorette party.

My boyfriend and I visited recently to have a date night out of the house, our first since stay at home orders began. Wine Bistro did excellent! They offered hand sanitizer, all the servers had masks, they let us reserve a patio spot and the patio was very well spaced out. The menus were online which was awesome too! I would highly recommend if you want a safe place to eat.

Good food, good wine, great service!

This was my second overall experience at The Wine Bistro and I must say they uphold a very high level of service and food quality. I booked this reservation about a month ahead for Valentines Day at 6:45pm. To our surprise, we did not have to wait at all upon checking in. The venue was lively but not overbearing; a perfect atmosphere for an intimate conversation. Our waitress Alexis was 5/5 stars excellent in her presence and in the manner in which she took and delivered our orders. We sampled some cocktails and wine flights while munching on the best popcorn I’ve ever had. Seriously, I could eat their Tuscan popcorn all day every day. The entrees did not disappoint one bit, see the pictures for yourself.This is a top destination for a date in Columbus. In addition to affordability, atmosphere and food quality, it was very easy to park and get seated!

The food was amazing but over half of our wine glasses were dirty. The service was over all slow but still satisfactory. The atmosphere was lovely and we over all had a decent time.

Food was good, portion sizes were a bit small, but still within reason. The biggest reason I ranked 3 stars is due to the service, or lack there of.We dropped in on a Thursday night with reservations for 5:45, showed up promptly and were seated. They were in no question busy, but from our view about 85% seating and no one waiting, so not slammed. Was 6:00 before our waiter showed up to order drinks after we flagged down the hostess for some help. Drinks showed up around 6:15 PM and we ordered. Between 6:15 PM and 7:00 PM our waiter showed up at our table one time, and that was when my wife flagged him down to get more water for the table. Our food didnt show up until 7:00 PM, and we promptly asked for the check. Unfortunately that was the fastest thing our waiter was actually able to do, and he promptly returned with it and cashed us out.There were multiple tables around us with the same experience, including two tables directly next to us where the folks went to either the hostess or the bar to cash out, because our waiter was just non-existent. So overall for the night in the 1:30 we were there, we saw our waiter 4 times, 2 of which required us to flag him down and or get someone else to help. I can understand if on a busy night the kitchen is slow and struggling, but that doesnt excuse a lack of table service. If the intent is to keep patrons enjoying the spirits offered, the waiter has to show up to do so. Will not return with the risk of another 1:45 dinner.

They have a wide variety of wine--go figure, for a place called "The Wine Bistro." The selections range from affordable to expensive, and the sampler "flight" of 3 wines is a great way to explore. Although the wine listings themselves dont tell a neophyte much about the wines, other than their geographic origin and the name of the style, so you pretty much have to depend on your server for information--and our server wasnt really a wealth of information.I cant speak to the food because we didnt order any. But the service was unobtrusive and the inside of the place was quiet and calm on a hot, humid Monday.

My wife and I have been eating at this location for several years and the food and service is always top notch. Last night, we decided to try to dine on the patio with our 20 month old daughter. Rain poured down on us and our waitress went above and beyond helping us and our young daughter inside to avoid getting wet. She also got us seated and made sure our food came to our new table. Just wanted to commend you guys on excellent service.

Great wine selection, very knowledgeable staff. Atmosphere is almost mystic regardless of how often you go there. Layout is unique, with a wonderful private party room, and plenty of seating available. Their menu has gotten better over the years. All the normal menu is fantastic, and the seasonal items are pretty tasty also. Not a lot of options for picky eaters, but there is pasta / meatballs or pepperoni pizza. All the servings are bigger than you may expect. Overall, a very great experience every time at the wine bistro.

Great lunch. We had the bacon cheeseburger, Italian baguette sandwich, crab cakes, and chop salad with pear prosciutto and asiago flatbread. Everyone was very pleased. I tried the flatbread, and the crab cakes and ate the Italian baguette sandwich. The crab cakes were, by far, the best. Server was friendly and engaging.We then had the blonde brownie with bacon, oh yeah...bacon! Perfect.Well be back!Update... we came back and enjoyed the rustic anti pasto platter and the crab cake sandwich. Cant go wrong here!

Absolutely love this place. Great atmosphere, decent wine prices, good food. Allows for great company sharing time and conversations.

First time here and three of us came as part of restaurant week. Loved the inside decor and the available parking on the street. Theres a table behind the host that could sit about 12 people and would be great for a nice dinner with friends. The food was great and the cocktail selection . Our waitress thought she might have "pregnancy brain," :-but she did well remembering our menu selections. We would love to come back to do a tasting soon.
