The Whitelaw Hotel in Miami Beach

I cannot say enough great things about this place. My family was evacuated because of hurricane Ian. We were stressed, scared, exhausted, and not financially in a position for a “vacation” quite yet. They offered evacuees a discounted rate and allowed our dog without a fee. Not only were they the friendliest and most accommodating place we have been, the man I believe was the owner was so kind and even held conversation with my 3 year old showing her all of his animals, he truly is a wonderful person. I had never been to Miami. After this experience, I know exactly where we will stay the next time we come back under better circumstances 😊Thank you for hosting us and showing us such kindness in a most stressful time!

This place was absolutely terrible. It was falsely advertised. We checked out early and were told we’d receive a refund. Only to spend even more money on another hotel, to get $44 after spending over $700. The shower was either scalding hot or freezing. The pictures are not updated. The restaurant below was loud all night and the service was awful. Do not recommend.

Don’t know why it gets so many negative reviews. My experience was simply awesome! The staffs and management were amazing . Rooms are clean and love how they have the restaurant right inside the hotel!

The greatest value for the location ! Right behind ocean drive! Spacious room for being on Collin dr ! The restaurant/bar has been update in the lobby. Amazing food ! Eric was the one thatTook care of us for check in! He informed us with water activities! Very nice guy!

For a last minute trip this hotel was wonderful. Just a block away from the beach, right behind Ocean Ave. Although they were doing some renovations during our stay it was good that we were able to walk to their "sister" hotels to use pool and for happy hour. I stayed in a King bed room, and although spacing was a bit small, it was just what I needed. I would definitely stay in this hotel again, with the updates hopefully complete to fully enjoy the resort fee 🤣, nothing drastic, and last but not least the staff is professional, kind, and knowledgeable. Last note we arrived really early because of our flight so we did have to wait for our room, so make sure to call ahead in case.

The hotel stay was pretty good. 80% from 100%. Pluses: beds very comfortable, happy hour every day with free drinks, location very central with lots of bars and restaurants, near to the beach, the hotel itself is stylish. Minuses: rooms are not cleaned every day/once in 3 days, no breakfast possibilities, the rooms are very small and old, no possibility to store the baggage for at least 2 hours.

A decent, near the beach hotel with comfortable beds, well-functioning fans and good room size. The hotel guests, however, have been mostly extremely annoying and rude. Many were loud at night, some even took drugs. It was unpleasant to not be able to sleep at night after a twelve-hour flight. The hotel management should be harsher when it comes to loud/rude guests. I am only deducting two stars as this isnt their fault entirely.

So my flight got canceled and this was the closet thing to me at the time and I thought it looked nice when I made the booking for one night. First thing the room was extremely cold so I’m glad I had an extra blanket with me bc even turning the heat up didn’t help . Then there was a girl arguing with her boyfriend for over and hour and the walls are so thin and then upon leaving I had to shower and had NO hot water. This resort refused to give me any type of refund so I will never recommend this stay to anyone.

Great place to stay. Very fair price for the area, the room is a perfect place to come back to after a night out. staff is super friendly and accommodating they were fully booked and still were nice enough to let me get a late checkout because i unfortunately had to switch hotels due to them being sold out and i extended my trip last minute. wouldve loved to spend another night here but this is where i will be staying every time i am in the area. they even offered me beach towels and things alike without even having to ask, very good service and nice room and a fair price. perfect location as well.

Stayed for my birthday weekend and really enjoyed the location. It is a block over from the beach and the busy Ocean Street. Glad to be away from that busy street a lot activity and noise. We enjoyed the room it was a little small but was enough space for the weekend and us two. No swimming pool on the premises but they give you access to another hotels swimming pool about a mile away. They were out of beach towels the day we requested for some. Overall we would definitely be booking here again in the future. Nice staff and cute hotel.
